Gifts for Designer News

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're taking a look at several Designer News group gifts. As you may already know, the Designer News group is a multi-designer group that is currently free to join, so you get lots of helpful info in one place. The group notices are packed with updates about sales and new releases, and many participating designers offer gifts for the group in their main stores :) I spent some time exploring, and am pleased to show off what I found!

For my first look I visited ***Sunflower***, where their DRESS FATA PINK is our generous free gift. This charming one-shouldered mini dress has sheer sections down the bodice an open midriff in the front, with a fun strap that acts as a belt. Our gift includes Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes.

This lovely choice for a warm summer day is our ::Leibah:: Kohtah Bikini silver and green v1 gift. Its bra and bottom each come in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The silvery strips have a sparkly texture that really caught my eye, and the style is flirty yet on the modest side.

Next I've got another terrific bikini to share, our {Le'La} Aika Swimsuit Gift. The animal print adds to the flirt factor, and I've always been fond of the string bikini's classic style. We receive separate bra and panties here, each in Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes.

My final look of the evening is the .YIA. Xena Bodysuit TOFFEE treat for the Designer News group. It's got some serious hardware with all that golden metallic trim, and I'm really enjoying the cutout in the back! I haven't have very good luck with my teeth over the years, taking after my dad's side of the family in that regard. So I shouldn't be too shocked that my dental visit yesterday will be having a big unpleasant follow-up next week, a redo of a root canal and crown on one of my upper molars. I am already worrying and fighting my anxiety, so it is going to be a long wait till Wednesday. Meanwhile I am trying to keep myself distracted as much as possible, and I am grateful for Xan's patience and support as always :) He is dealing with a big adulting type issue at the moment too, so we are quite the pair. Designer News Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is packed with variety, thanks to the Designer News group and the many brands who are a part of them. There are lots who offer gifts for the group's members, so just join for free if you aren't already in this group and head on over to each store to pick up the treats :) I am a huge fan of multi-designer groups for this reason, and the opportunity to get updates from tons of stores in one spot. The weekend just feels like a good reason to explore, ya know?

Our first stop of the evening is AVAgirl, where I headed upstairs and grabbed the flirty Mica outfit for Designer News. The blouse, string (thong), and tie are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing. It's also got a HUD with 5 colors for each piece, and a pair of BOM stockings in sheer white with straps and bows on the top :) They really do add a special little something, and I do need to note that the blouse is sheer in every color but more so on the lower portion. That's why you can see the thong through it from the rear view. 

Arcane Spellcaster is well known across SL for their exclusive bento and mesh offerings. If you follow the arrows on the floor to the group gifts room, you will find this fun top in different colors for so many groups, a treasure trove! The Top Katyna bright Jeans is the Designer News version, bringing a splash of denim blue to this cropped halter with sheer collar and band. It has been designed to fit Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

At this point I swapped to the Lara 5.3 original from my Lara X body, and changed into the charming BoA DeSiGN Floral Cardigan gift. It is one of several groups' goodies you can find here, a stunning deep navy with flowers in shades of pink and yellow. The top comes in Maitreya and Slink Hourglass sizes, and ties loosely in the front to produce a beautiful cascade of ruffles down the sides. It's fairly long in the back too, just so pretty! We can layer it over pants, skirts, leggings, bras, tank tops...there are plenty of possibilities out there.

If your weekend plans call for something sexy, I strongly suggest the GG20 Dress Bea *Salesita's Creations* gift :) This daring dress has a playful style with one side almost completely bared, and a diagonal hem from left waist down to just above the right ankle. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. To claim it you will need to right click and pay $1L, but it will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered to you.

My final look is from ART & FASHION, one of their many gifts for various groups :) THE DEVIL IS FEMALE - LONG DRESS is a sheer gown with an intriguing image on the front, and a nearly bare back for extra flirt factor. There are 5 fitmesh standard sizes, along with Freya, Isis, and Venus each in Natural, Pushup, and Perky versions, plus Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. That's a lot of potential! I love the deep purplish hue too, adds to the mysterious feeling.

It was a decent day here, with a very rainy Saturday ahead that will probably include some wicked thunderstorms. Eek! I'm ready to stay home, possibly in bed lol, just to relax and prepare for next week. I was looking for a gift for my cousin's baby, and there are too many adorable choices so it will take me all weekend to decide at this rate ;) The suggestion is clothing for summer, so I saw a few shorts sets and some onesie sets that have potential. Otherwise I plan on enjoying some Hello Kitty Island Adventures, and then therapy on Sunday. My allergies are still in high gear, so I am crossing my fingers that things calm down there too. Designer News Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a bit of a tour, taking us to several participating Designer News group's designers. The group is currently free to join, and each store can offer a group gift if they wish, so I had a lot of fun hopping around and seeing what I could find :) I'd had a few spots bookmarked from prior visits that I saw various group gifts, so you'd get a kick out of the weird notes in the names of my landmarks as I'll abbreviate the group names a bit oddly. Otherwise I visit stores who have posted group notices recently, to see the sales items and look for a gift while I'm there.

My first look of the night comes from Mu-Shi Doll and is their flirty MD "Bonita" Outfit - Leo. Our leopard print bodysuit fits Freya, Isis, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Reborn mesh bodies. It's got a fun popped collar and is open all the way down to the waist, where an attached belt encircles and shines with gold trim. I had a laugh following my old landmark since they are now a couple thousand meters lower, LOL, so I did some falling and flailing until I located their new spot :)

If you're feeling a bit naughty, head over to ANGEL"s JEWELRY and claim their AJ_outfit BADGIRL. Its top and panty each come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Rolls sizing, and they are both decorated in such fun ways :) The top's got garter straps and stunning artwork on the front, then "BAD GIRL" on the back with horns above the B and D. Meanwhile the panty has the same bad girl image on the front, and a sassy handprint on the back. I'm a big fan of the hot pink and white color combo too.

Just because an outfit has a knit texture doesn't mean it has to cover every possible inch of skin, right? :) .::BE BOLD::. Group Gift #7 is their treat for Designer News (one of many for various groups) and is a playful sleeveless dress with halter neck and deeply scooped back that shows off a tiny glimpse of bum cleavage. The sizes included are for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, along with a HUD that offers 3 colors of the same texture. 

One of my go-to locations for this type of group gift (multi-designer groups that is) would be V8 Underground, and my visit clearly paid off today. Their **CHANDRA SONWIL SET UNIVERSAL HUD 6 TEXTURES** treat for us is a tank top and shorts set to bring out your inner girl boss, since that's what it says on the front of the top and the back of the shorts :) They both fit Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, and as I'm sure you gathered from the name, it also has a HUD with 6 colors for each piece. Mixing and matching can be lots of fun, and I feel like this would be a comfy look for lounging around with Xan too.

My final look tonight is our :::[FurtaCor]:::Anis Set gift, and it really speaks to the Boho hippie style fan deep inside :) I was born in the early 70s after all. The top combines bare shoulders with a tied front to show off a bare midriff, then the long maxi skirt rides a bit low on the hips for the same sexy effect. The top is provided in eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, while the skirt comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. You know I'm also about to tell you that there's a HUD included too, right? That offers 14 patterns and 14 solid colors for the top, with 2 patterns and 6 colors for our lovely skirt. For the most part the skirt looks like denim in its various textures, a fabric I also associate with my 80s teenage years so I am always drawn to that material as well.

It was a quiet day here, as my planned outing had to be temporarily postponed due to the housemate being too drained after running errands for my parents. I appreciate their helping my parents that way while they're sick, so I do not mind waiting :) I had to reboot my pc 4 times earlier for its Windows updates, and the poor thing isn't even Windows 11 compatible so this is just crap for 10. It was just annoying when I thought it was done after the first two, so reopened browsers and started doing things when a few minutes later it popped up again. Oh well, at least rebooting doesn't take as long as it used to, those days of waiting 15 minutes for the system to restart are long gone and not missed. Designer News Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood to visit a few places (my SL experience has been less crashtastic, knock on wood LOL) so I thought you might enjoy seeing what I found :) I had the Designer News group tag active, which is free to join and a fun way to find out information from many stores in one handy group. The gifts are certainly a nice benefit too, and I always have a good time stopping by all the stores I can find from their group notices.

My first look comes from Carola and is called Ainhoa 0422. The playful jumpsuit comes in sizes for Erika, Freya, Isis, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Reborn mesh bodies. The chunky heels fit Belleza, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Slink feet. There is even a HUD for each with 10 colors, so we can mix or match to our heart's content. The outfit caught my eye with the fun pattern and the sexy side opening, accentuated by the bow on the left of the waist.

Our Carusa by Blackbird Lace Gift is another wonderful one-piece outfit, this time in soft sandy neutral hues. It is included in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizing, with a lacy halter top and geometric print on the pants in similar colors. It took me a while to get used to mixing dissimilar prints like this when it became trendy, and now I am fully on board :)

If you need some extra sex appeal, be sure to grab the TOG STORE . Kuky Set gift :) This eye-popping dress is very strappy, and the rings down the center of the front made me do a slow impressed whistle in RL. It comes in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD offering 14 amazing colors. Versatility is always a plus too in my book!

.:AMUI:. has a lovely gift called "Lauren" Dress - 006, which has a sleek style and a fun halter neckline with folded collar. It gives ultra feminine tuxedo vibes, in black and purple to really shake things up :) The gift includes Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes. I can't decide what type of jewelry will work best with it, so one of these days I'll be digging into my huge folder of over a decade's worth of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets to see what suits my tastes.

My final look of the night is perfect for anyone who has a tropical vacation in mind, or even just a dip in a pool or hot tub :) The .::PC::. "Chantale" Swimsuit - Black Flower GG is our current group gift from PiNK CHERRY, one of several different groups they are offering treats for. While it looks like a bikini, it's actually worn as one single piece in your choice of gold or silver trims (hoops down the front). Each of these, labeled G or S, come in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. 

Anyone else feel like this week has been going so slowly? I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things, while being irritated that so many people are freaking out and stocking up on toilet paper because of the dockworkers' strike that if it continued, could have eventually caused some delays and shortages. That's a good idea, except the toilet paper is produced in this country (at least 2 main brands in this state!) and not shipped from elsewhere 🙄. Also it looks like the strike was just resolved, so that isn't going to be a problem anyway :) I am relieved for the workers who can better support their families now, and that the rest of us can obtain things we need too. Designer News Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're checking out some designers who are offering group gifts for the Designer News group, which is currently free to join. It has had a fee in the recent past so it was worth mentioning the 'currently' part, in case you'd checked the group during that time because of a tempting gift you found but didn't have the funds on hand to join :) The group is one of several multi-designer groups in SL that have wonderful designers who participate with group notices about sales and new releases, and many of those will provide a gift in their store. It really benefits everyone as we get gifts and heads up about sales, and the designers bring in more traffic to see their hard work for sale.

My first stop was ~ FOR YOU ~ in their new location since I last visited, where I claimed their ::F:: Abby Dress gift for DN. The style is a front and back panel linked by wide bands of lace on the sides, matching the trim on the hem perfectly :) We receive sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. The dark blue background really shows off the creamy flowers nicely, don't you think? There are a few other groups' gifts available at this store, which is common amongst participants in this type of group.

I think some of the designers have warm weather or vacations on their minds and I cannot blame them in the least :) The lovely [ConTrato] Maxine Bikini is a generous gift whose top and panties each fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The HUD provided lets us choose from 3 colors (black not shown) which really becomes a matter of your personal taste because they all look fantastic. 

{Le'La} makes me want to purr with happiness, thanks to their Aika Swimsuit Gift :) They have always been quite generous with gifts for various groups, and DN members receive this two piece beauty that fits Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. Leopard prints always make me happy, and this bikini is a detailed dream with lots of shiny golden loops and delicate bows holding everything in place.

I also visited Anne Silver Couture where the gorgeous *AS* PAMELA BLUE is waiting for us. I love the sparkly texture and the cerulean blue color, oh and let's not forget the fun straps in the back :) High-low hemlines are always a hit for me too, so it's easy to see why I adore this gift.

My final look of the evening is the [>Ma'De<] Caramel Leo Dress gift, in a sweet candy pink with intriguing choker neckpiece linked to the otherwise strapless dress by a slender strand. This beauty is provided in Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn sizing. You won't be surprised when I praise the color or the pattern, right? ;) It's in good company with gifts for plenty of other groups too, so I hope you enjoy your visit to this and all of these stores.

Well, my weekend started out quiet and then my Sunday afternoon therapy session happened...there was an outing, and it was an intense one, so I'm still kinda processing it all in my head. Highway travels are challenging for me, so naturally that's what he wanted me to do, and it did work up a brief but strong panic attack. That was the intention, to feel it and get through it so I could tell myself in the future that well I survived and I am fine :) Exposure therapy is pretty wild, flying in the face of logic by doing things your primitive brain tells you are wrong or dangerous even though in reality you are safe. Designer News Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was inspired by a Designer News group gift I saw to explore some more and share a handful with all of you. The group is free to join, and there are many designers who have gifts for the group in their stores so just have the tag active when you visit them. Lots of the participating designers are part of other multi-store groups too, so I do suggest peeking for other gifts at each stop since you might be able to treat yourself to more than one new look with the various group tags.

My first stop was Taylor Designs, with several gifts behind the counter including the TD - DN Gift for Designer News. This flirty aqua halter dress has plunging neckline that reveals the belly button, and the back is mostly bared too for added sex appeal. It comes in a classic M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. 

I also claimed this beautiful dress from Blackbird Lace called Mesa Dress gift. It has a trio of slender straps on each shoulder that merge into one, and a ruffled skirt of a different material than the formfitting body. The gift consists of Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizes. I really like the way the subtle design accentuates our curves! The gifts for various groups are all located upstairs in this store.

If you head out the front door from the last store and go to the left, you will find the Black Angel store which also has several group gifts upstairs including this lovely CIARA JUMPSUIT GIFT. The sequined texture looks great in that bronze color, and the halter top has a flirty rounded opening to show off some cleavage. There are sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Petite bodies included in this wonderful gift.

Next I found a chic look for your next night out, the FAVOR - IRA DRESS gift for Designer News. The sleek pencil dress is topped with a bold bow to go with the bold black and red color combination. It is provided in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizing. The fabric has some shine to it, very pretty!

For my final look of the evening, I picked up the AMELIA DRESS GIFT from LEXU, one of several generous gifts for a variety of groups. This dress has intricate straps both front and back, holding together a bra top and short skirt in black with tiny red polka dots. The dress seems to have materials enabled, as I noticed the green shimmer and added another subtle ambient light source to bring out even more reflectivity. It was a generally peaceful weekend here, especially visiting the farmers market and petting the cute Boston terrier again. I really do believe that interacting with companion animals (and sometimes just watching wildlife) is good for our emotional health, and he is such a playful little guy that just wants to love every human he sees. The only critter in my home this evening is a giant spider, so not quite as cute or cuddly.
