Time For Twisted

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time to explore the Twisted Hunt, whose March round has a theme of Nonsense based on Alice in Wonderland. The color of the cubes (and many of the prizes) we are looking for is Alice Blue, and as always there are dozens of generous gifts that are tricky to find but well worth the effort. There are no hints on the website, but if you join the inworld group you can ask nicely for a hint if you get really stuck :) If you see a twisted easel at a store, be sure to click for a notecard with information that could include special sales, a side hunt, more than one prize, or details about an "ungacha" which is the twisted version of the modern replacement for gachas. I rely on Xan's help with the Twisted Hunt in particular since we have different methods of looking for hunt objects, so our perspectives complement each other. The cubes slowly rotate so sometimes looking for motion is helpful, and this round's blue coloring can stand out in some shops. Each store is permitted to have 13 visible decoys in addition to the cube containing the main prize, but some have gift inside a few of their decoys while others have no decoys at all. 

My first look this evening has two terrific prizes, starting with the clothing. That is the [TR] Nonboxx Dress Set prize from Touryuumon, whose top and pants are each provided in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Kups A, Kups B, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. The top is styled like a tube top in the back, but the front has carefully sliced layers that drape down almost like fringe but attached on both ends, very pretty! I accessorized with one of the 3 prizes in the Pixelancer hunt area, their Choker ~ Nonsense. There are silver and gold versions (gold shown above) so you can decide which metal clasp you prefer, and both have that black satin ribbon adorned with an exact replica of the hunt cube. It works as a memento of the hunt and a fun piece of jewelry :)

The ever-generous Shanti store has 5 cubes with prizes, like this duo of their Twisted Cami Top and Twisted Leggings. They both come in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The top reads "Cute but twisted 🥨 & a bit knotty", which I admit strikes a chord for me ;) The checkerboard pattern of the leggings made me smile too.

I kept those pants on to show you two more prizes, both tops found in other of their cubes. On the left is the Shanti Curiouser Crop Tee, while the one on the right is our Shanti Mad Crop Tee prize. One says "Curiouser and Curiouser", the other reads "We're all mad here" above the cheshire cat's famous grin. These tops both include Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizing. 

Next I changed into the Shanti Twisted Nonsense Tulle Dress, yet another fantastic prize from this charming store. The strapless mini dress has a sheer skirt attached for a gorgeous high-low hemline. Find this prize and you'll be able to claim it in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. 

My final look this evening is a lovely layered dress from Moonlitecat Creations called MLCC Nonsense THS22 Slip Dress. The THS stands for Twisted Hunt Spring, then the number is the year, named in the same format as the cubes. Our top and bottom layers are each included in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous body versions. I love the looks both with and without the top layer, and that artwork with the mushrooms and fairy is wonderful! It was a relatively calm day here, productive and with nice weather, so I am in a pleasant mood :) My doctor sent the chest x-ray results, completely normal as we expected, so my persistent cough is probably from acid reflux. I don't think cough medicine or anything will help that, so the next step is treating the reflux. I'm not the only one in my family who has it, so I'm sure it will be a topic at dinner Friday. We are open with each other about most medical stuff as a way of crowdsourcing things I guess, and curiosity about genetics and their role in why we share so many issues. Twisted Beyond The Veil

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading back Beyond The Veil with the Twisted Fall 2021 Hunt. It is a special event that takes place twice a year (March and September) where we search for devilishly tricky hidden cubes which for this round are Dusk colored. That is a smoky purple shade that you will see plenty of along the hunt path, perhaps a bit too much ;) Please be sure to read over their website if this is your first time taking part, so you know what to expect. Generally it is very tricky, no hints are provided on the website (but can be requested in the chat for their group) and there can be up to 13 visible decoys at each store in addition to the actual prize-containing cube. There are easels at many stores that will give you a notecard upon clicking with information like side hunts, special sales, and in a few cases a hint. I am also a fan of teamwork if you have a friend who might be interested too, and with lots of male and female prizes plus unisex ones it can appeal to a wide audience.

My first look of the evening is the Cailleach, Guardian of the Veil outfit from Steel & Ink. The top and skirt each come in a fitmesh M size for classic avatars along with sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The matching wedge heeled boots have an unrigged version you can adjust, plus sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, Legacy, Ocacin, Slink, Tonic, and Voluptuous mesh feet. They all have bright aqua lace to contrast the dusky purple color wonderfully. 

Next I changed into the lovely MLCC Beyond The Veil Dusk Womens Outfit from Moonlitecat Creations. There is a men's prize in a different cube, so be sure to continue to look around when you've found one :) This treat includes the diaphanous top and skirt in plenty of sizes: 5 standard and 5 fitmesh for classic avatars, as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. I love the handkerchief hemline, and the way the fabric is sheer in just the right places.

Better than Naked has two prizes waiting for us too, so I am pleased to share their [BtN] THF21 (f) ladies' prize. The long sleeved top and full length skirt are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, as well as a fitmesh M for classic avatars. The texture is animated and positively mesmerizing! I could have stared at it for ages, enjoying the way the smoke pattern drifts from left to right on one piece and right to left on the other. The swirling sensation is very clever, and I do get a kick out of animated textures.

There are two prizes to locate at Mara's Meshy Stuff, a new-to-me store with a really fun name! These gifts are both for the ladies, and are the Friday the 13th Bunneh top and the Red webbed skirt seen here. Each come in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, and they can be worn together or you can pair them with anything else in your inventory that you choose. The intense little bunny made me chuckle, and the webs of the skirt are just as Halloween themed but neither are really limited to that season. 

My final look this evening is the head-turning Ethereal Harness Dress prize from [Ari-Pari]. It has the twisted cubes' texture on the bodice and ruched layers on the skirt, with a flattering built in harness. The dress comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, with a terrific HUD that offers 10 colors for the dress, 4 for the harness, and the ability to hide or show the harness entirely. This way you can decide if you want the delicate harness straps to hug your curves, or the spaghetti strap dress itself since it is formfitting too. I always appreciate HUDs for versatility, and this one is especially loaded with options.

It has been a pretty good weekend here, all things considered. The housemate's guest will be leaving in the morning, and they were not too obnoxious so I was relieved. The weather Saturday was beautiful for my visit to the farmers market, and I saw someone who used to sell there but had to move back to his home country to take care of a family member. Totally Twisted

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more free prizes from the Twisted Hunt Fall 2020, found inside slowly spinning cubes in the round's colors of moss colored earth. The theme is Drow, and I am learning quite a bit about them from researching the names of various prizes. My knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons is very limited, so I didn't even know that the lore of drow comes from there in the late 70s. They are dark elves, and there is a spider queen involved, so those facts have greatly influenced many of the gifts. It is billed as the hardest hunt in SL, and after you stumble across enough decoy cubes you will probably agree ;) I recommend teaming up with a friend or two, so you can get different perspectives and help each other. I also suggest joining their inworld group, where you can politely ask for a hint if you get really stumped, and will be among the first to know once the End Game is open so you can earn even more gifts and gray hairs. I joke, but I appreciate the challenge and am always grateful to have Xan by my side throughout. 

My first look is actually a great choice to wear while gridwide hunting, and I felt like a total bad-ass in it! This is the MLCC Drow Huntress Green Outfit from Moonlitecat Creations, and that is the texture of the cubes you are looking for on the top. The corseted top and laced pants each come in sizes for classic avatars (classic M and fitmesh M) as well as mesh body sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous. The matching boots include Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink, and Voluptuous sizing as well as an unrigged version. 

I also found the prize from Steel & Ink, for which I will offer the hint that I was amazed at where I found it ;) Be aware of teleport pads wherever you go, that is also a handy guideline. So this is their beautiful Drow Priestess gift, and it starts with the elegant deep blue gown with delicate spider webs and dramatic sleeves. It comes in classic M and fitmesh M for classic avatars, plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body versions. Its daring slit on the right leg reveals the webbed tights which come in system/BOM layers plus an Omega applier. The coordinated shoes are for Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. Included but not shown are a skin (system/BOM and Omega) and a hair style which is white blonde and a bit past shoulder length.

This prize may give you a touch of deja vu, as it is similar to the first one I shared this evening. It is the *Valkyr RP* Drow Rogue F, and the M for male is in a separate hidden cube. This prize includes the top and pants each sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous bodies, with matching boots in Belleza, Belleza Freya, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink, and Voluptuous versions. The firmly laced corset style top is a flattering look, and the strappy boots have a powerful feel to them.

This prize from ZFG made me smile, and genuinely chuckle thinking of how happy Xan will be when he sees it :) If you are a Monty Python fan and can quote Holy Grail, you will probably recognize the words on this O LORD shirt. In case you can't quite read it, above the white rabbit outline it reads "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." My final look of the evening is a particularly flirty one, thanks to the cube at IBAN which holds their 297 DRESS TWISTED ME. This translucent latex dress has fun ruffles and is laced up each side, and it is so revealing that I decided to add a couple of "modesty flowers" in photoshop. Your prize will not have those of course, and will be completely see-through :) The gift includes Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with a color HUD that you can tint any color you wish...choose from one of several presets or use the RGB color grid to input your own selection. 

Quick makeup note of the night: I wanted a smoky eye look to go with the theme and colors of the clothing I was wearing, so I chose a wearable tester (like a demo, only better!) from alaskametro<3 called Black Magic eyeshadow 05. Their testers have one of each type of makeup from the set, for example this has one eyeshadow and one lipstick, that you can try on and ensure it fits and wears correctly on your head. I have always been happy with their makeup, from nails to lips to eyes and more, so I knew they were the right choice for what I needed.

Feeling Like a Beach Bunny

There is something so refreshing about visiting a peaceful little island that you can change to your tastes, and become friends with animals of various personality types who give you nicknames and like to chat with you. Starting The Week at Home

Twisted Cyberpunk Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more Twisted Spring 2020 Hunt prizes to share, all in their Cyberpunk theme and many featuring the hunt color of electric teal. The prizes are all free, and hidden in slowly rotating cubes within 30 meters of the landing spot at each store. There are no hints except the ones you can ask for in the group chat of the Twisted group, and there can be up to 13 visible decoys in addition to the real prize cube. If you see a twisted easel at a store, please do click it and read the notecard so you will know if that stop is offering multiple prizes, a side hunt, special related sales, or something else extra :) Sometimes they offer a hint in that notecard too. My first outfit is the female prize from MoonliteCat Creations called MLCC Pong Cyber Punk Womens Teal Outfit. The jacket comes in classic M and fitmesh M sizes along with mesh body versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous. The skirt comes in a similar set of sizes: classic (S, M, L), fitmesh (S, M, L), Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous. Even the matching bracelets are provided for both the left and right wrists. So many terrific details here! I chose to add a necklace as well, our prize from Gallery One called Twisted Cyberpunk Pendant. The black double cord holds a round pendant with 5 textures to choose from via HUD, two of which are shown in the inset of the photo. All are on a teal background, so they will match most of the Twisted gifts perfectly.

This striking bodysuit is the MI.CO Twisted Hunt CyberPunk 2020 Space Jumper, the main prize at that location. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies, and that texture is animated! The shades of blue and green actually swirl around, something you will have to see in person to fully appreciate :)

**DSO** is one of the many stores with side hunts, and for this look I combined the female main prize with just one of their several side hunt gifts :) The **DSO** Jill Outfit THS20 consists of the long jacket and the pants/boots combo each in classic (S, M, L) and fitmesh (M, L) sizes plus versions for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. The **DSO** Arm Bands - THS20 are a side hunt prize, with upper and lower parts for each arm. They look fantastic with the main prize, don't they? The side hunt is actually shared with MoonliteCat Creations, the creator of the very first outfit in tonight's post, so work your way through that maze and you can claim the side hunt goodies from both stores!

Next we take a look at the +Inner Mantra+ Twisted Hunt Gift Female, which adds a little bit of seduction to the cyberpunk style with the sheer panel in the back of the tank top. The top and pants are provided in system/BOM layers and Omega appliers, while the boots are sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. (Advice: if you are wearing a different body or a classic avatar, just alpha out your feet and try the boots on to see which provides the best fit for your shape) There is also a mens prize and a mini hunt with even more treats for all.

My final look of the evening is a prize that gave me a much needed chuckle :) It is the BLASPHEMIC - TALI TANK - TwISteD, and it comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The front reads "I'm NOT Sick I'm Twisted", then beneath that smaller all in red is "Sick makes it sound like there's a cure!". I realize that a few may consider this inappropriate these days, but I know it has nothing to do with the current pandemic and prefer to focus on the twisted part of the statement and how it relates to the hunt. This hunt has been around for over a decade, and the group behind it (designers, organizers, and regular participants) have a strong sense of community that makes up the "twisted" identity. Oh, I left the pants on from the previous gift so that I would be wearing something on the bottom in this image ;) You probably have a favorite pair of jeans, pants, or maybe a fun skirt that you can pair this with already in your inventory.

The news continues to be worrisome in this area, with 2 deaths in the neighboring county (where I grew up and where my grandmother lives) reported in the past day. Both were people in their 80s, one of whom was in a nursing home, so I am concerned for the rest of their residents. I was relieved to hear from one of my best friends, she and her husband who is immunocompromised from cancer treatments are doing well and staying safe. These are such weird times, but I am so grateful that we have ways to keep in touch with people like texting, so we can be reassured quickly and easily. I'm old enough to remember what life was like before the internet and smartphones, and having to rely on landlines to talk to someone to make sure they were okay. I much prefer modern technology :) Please don't "ok boomer" at me though LOL, I am not quite that old. I am still trying to feel hopeful and positive, and most of all trying to be patient until the worst is past and we can regroup to find our new normal together. More Twisted Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue down the Twisted Fall 2019 Hunt path, to find free prizes inside the bloodstained black cubes. The theme is Damned, so you can expect our gifts to be on the dark side. My inner goth is enjoying them for sure :) There are no hints on their website, but if you join the group inworld you can request one if you need it, and there are easels at many locations with information about side hunts, gachas, exclusive sales, and more. As I mentioned yesterday, there can be up to 13 visible decoys in addition to the real cube bearing a gift, so keep looking until you find one for sale with contents.

My first look this evening is an elegant gown from Dreaming Thicket, their Twisted Women's Gift called Fleur Dress. It comes in standard mesh sizes as well as a Maitreya version, and is really a lovely formal look. There is a men's gift in this same cube, so just the one to find among any decoys.

:.C!L.: has this striking gown waiting in their cube, once you find the one that isn't a decoy of course ;) It is called Morticia Red Ball Gown Set, and starts with the exquisite gown in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. Then we can add the laced ribbons for each sleeve, and the overlap and underlap which are flexi skirt pieces for each side then the back. They add movement and fullness, both beautiful benefits. The built in collar really adds something special to this look as well.

This beautiful look is one of the 4 prizes hiding at Moonlitecat Creations, called MLCC Damned in Red Gown. It is provided in fitmesh standard sizes plus versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The lacing in the back is one of my favorite touches of this dress, although the blood red roses are up there too.

If you prefer less formal looks, fear not (pun intended) because {zfg} has a playful t-shirt for the guys and the gals. It is called Camp Crystal Lake, and beneath the hockey mask says "Population 0". The ladies version includes standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The mens is in the same cube. In case you wondered, yes I did wear this on Friday the 13th :)

My final look of the night is another casual treat, the :::insanya::: ClaraBandeau - Leopard top. It comes in sizes for Freya natural, Freya perky, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The HUD offers an impressive 18 colors of the leopard print, so you can get creative with matching your chosen bottoms or your mood. Speaking of bottoms, I am wearing the marketplace freebie jeans from Delizio that appear here from time to time, which include several colors as system layers as well as Maitreya and Omega appliers.
