eBento Anniversary

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the 6th anniversary round of the eBento Event, which opened late last week and runs until the 5th of June. Their group is free to join, and that group tag lets you click dozens of gift boxes at most of the designers' displays to claim some wonderful free treats. I found there to be a very nice variety of fashions, accessories, home decor, and more, with plenty for the guys so not just a ladies' event :) I know there are lots of events out there, but I enjoy visiting as many as I can because they each offer different themes, exclusive items, and of course a different set of designers working hard to provide lots of great choices for our SL shopping. The generous gifts from time to time are just a fantastic bonus :)

My first look of the evening will help us get ready for summer with the *Flamingos* SwimSuit Alice - Pink gift. This playful style is a one-piece with three straps holding each side in place, which we can change to our choice of 10 colors via HUD. The swimsuit fits eBody, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I'm sure you also noticed the flock of birds on my upper right thigh, well they are our Aviva. Swallow tattoo-Group gift. This is a BOM (bakes on mesh) layer so you can wear it on any BOM compatible mesh body or even on classic avatars since it's a system tattoo layer. I do love birds of course, even my blog name is a nod to that fact, so these little beauties are a very welcome gift.

Two more gifts make up my second look tonight, starting with the [HU] Dilly Top_Purple by Have Unequal. This fluttery halter top is designed for the Maitreya body, and includes a HUD with 5 metals which are the straps and the clasp in the front center. This looks to be a materials enabled item, as there is a distinct sheen that I am enjoying here :) Then I added the [BB] Belzebubble - Panties #6 gift, a duo of colors of thong panties that have the number 6 on the front in white. The black and red pairs are each provided in eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. So fun that the number 6 is a nod to the 6th anniversary of this wonderful event!

Next I changed into the full outfit from **ABSEN** which is aptly named -At the party-. It contains the top, panties, skirt, and boots, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh bodies. The alpha/transparency of the lower half of the skirt made the panties disappear somehow, LOL, so I shimmied out of the skirt to show you the equally sparkly panties alone on the right. I know there's a way to fix the alpha layering issue but I was drawing a blank on how, sorry about that. Those boots really make the outfit for me, just a total showstopper of a look.

If you'd like to shine in purple, be sure to claim the ***LURE*** dress Aurora- Violet gift seen here :) Its daring style features a crossed halter neckline above a long diamond shaped cutout, with a slender strap in the back to help hold things just right. There are eBody Reborn, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh body sizes of this flirty gift. 

Well, I started the post with a swimsuit and coincidentally I'm wrapping it up with another :) This time it is the lovely {Le'La} Ulva Swimsuit Gift, a two piece bikini whose bra and panties are each designed for Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Flat, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. That leopard print is as eye-catching as the wild straps, isn't it? It certainly caught my attention, and made me grateful that SL bodies don't get tan lines unless we decide to add them. Geez, I think that's proof that I'm old but I just had a flashback to how many girls went to tanning salons before prom and then worried about the tan lines, trying to use thick chalky makeup from the late 80s to hide them. I've actually never been in a tanning bed, since I've always been just too prone to burning in just a few minutes of sun exposure. 

It was another quiet day and I'm grateful for that, since I have a relatively long car ride tomorrow to get to my family doctor for a mostly routine checkup. I say mostly because I usually have little things to discuss that occasionally merit more attention, and she might want to look at the area I recently had the abscess drained. Limited Time Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we have a short window of time remaining to visit an event I just found out about, the 6th Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sale by Synergy Shopping. Their free group is named Synergy and is the tag you will need to claim several terrific group gifts, a handful of which I am pleased to share tonight. Now the sales event wraps up on the 2nd so we have until Thursday night to stop by and take advantage of deep discounts and of course the group gifts. Those can be found in cardboard boxes with the event's logo on them, at many of the store's displays. I hope you are ready for the Christmas shopping season, because it is ready for us ;)

My first look comes from the Amataria group gift, which includes the fluttery top and cozy pants seen above. Each comes in sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. We go from a pale shade of blue for the top, to a deep navy for the pants so sticking with one color family to great effect. The gift includes a few other little surprises, so enjoy!

Next I slipped into the SLC MGSN Xmas Gifts TRAIN lingerie, which is adorned with snowflakes and topped with a festive hat. The bra and itty bitty miniskirt are each provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. The hat and matching boots each have a resize script built in so they can be adjusted, and the lingerie (panties, garter belt, lace-trimmed stockings) are provided in system/BOM layers. The aqua color has an icy cool feeling with the snowy pattern, but this outfit is sure to help you heat things up!

Another flirtatious gift is the Mia Red dress from Faida. It includes two versions (bows on the left above, wool on the right) that fit the Maitreya mesh body, and each texture has a HUD with 3 styling options. I am wearing it as Good on the left, then Naughty on the right with the back of the skirt partly lifted. There is also a Cheeky option which raises the skirt even further. It makes me envision playfully dancing for someone and using the HUD to enact a little striptease :)

Sometimes the best way to accessorize one gift is with another gift. The outfit is our ABSEN GIFT-7, a top and skirt in sizes for Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Star, TMP, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim bodies. The open weave knit texture looks very pretty in shades of coral, and the flash of midriff is a great touch. Speaking of great touches, my choker and arm bands are the Organic Jewelry Set Gold from AtaMe. I really liked the idea of pairing open weave jewelry with clothing of the same nature, and felt that the gold accentuated the color of the outfit.

My final look this evening is a charming shirtdress from Uncontrollably called [UNC] Charlotte Dress - Red. It is one of several gifts there, as there are male and female giftboxes that each contained more than one goodie. There is a plaid skirt in addition to this lovely knee-length dress, which comes in a fitted version for classic avatars along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. There is also a pair of unrigged boots included, but they both attached to my right hand instead of my feet so I will have to adjust them at another time. I was running late enough as it is ;) They are above the knee and black to match the built in belt of our dress. 

It was a busy day, with a chiropractor appointment and several errands to run while out and about. I even wound up at the location where the Saturday farmers market is held to pick up stuff for myself and my parents, which felt really weird to visit during the week. It is a perfect meeting point though, especially when the food we picked up is created in the onsite kitchens there. I have on a 70s music tv station that has played 2 Christmas songs tonight, so they are trying to make sure we are getting in the holiday spirit I suppose :) I hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

7Event Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading to the 7Event, whose current round (until the 20th of January) has a theme of Happy New Year Deals. There are some free gifts for all of us at various displays, while others are not free so please be aware of what you are clicking :) There is even a table near the landing area with more gifts, so it helps to look around carefully. I also would like to note that it is decorated beautifully. Some of these gifts are talking a walk on the wild side, as you will see...

My first look is the free gift from *It's Gau* called Alexya, a strapless mini dress in standard mesh sizes plus a fitted version. The lace is very sheer, and I actually wound up using the Maitreya HUD to alpha out my nipples because they were protruding right through the lace of the fitted version which otherwise was the best fit. There is a gift for the men also, so be sure to claim this no matter which avatar you usually sport.

Our gift from Dark Love is their eye-popping DL - Micro Bikini - Pack, which includes a HUD to choose from 6 colors. There are sizes provided for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, all with fun bows in the back and on the sides to hold the tiny piece of fabric in place. SL has plenty of tropical climate sims, and a pool (private or otherwise) would be a terrific place to enjoy this gift as well.

I love denim, especially when it is broken in and looks so soft yet sturdy. Those thoughts all flashed through my mind as soon as I put on this gift from **ABSEN** called Jeans Dress - Lori. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and has just the right amount of being distressed, particularly those frayed edges.

Moonstar is also offering a free gift at the 7Event, their MESH Cara Buckle Top and Skirt with Necklace. The top and skirt each come in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The necklace has a built in resize script so you can adjust it, and there is even a modesty butterfly (little privacy undies) included as a system layer and an Omega applier. 

For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying the $1L gift from [WellMade], their lovely Amable Dress. This strapless mini with flared lace-topped skirt is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD included with both shades of purple shown above, which is honestly a tough choice because I am very fond of all shades of that color :) This is such a generous offer for just a single linden!

My day did not go as I expected, because I misread a calendar so I misinterpreted the hockey schedule. The game I thought was tomorrow was actually today, and my favorite team won but barely.
