My Funny Valentine

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have another February hunt to explore, the My Funny Valentine Hunt. The prizes are $1L if you locate them by following the hint on the website, or you can opt to purchase for $25L at the hunt sign in the store if you prefer not to hunt. Either way, these prizes are deeply discounted from what their full cost would be, and quality worth seeking out :) We are looking for pink puffy hearts with an image on the front that you can also see on the hunt signs, a couple beneath a tree. It is a sweet, romantic little heart that I enjoyed looking for, and exploring the various shops is always an adventure since I never know what I will see. 

My first look is the ZFG prize called VAL LOVE, a hot mini dress with long sleeves and sexy heart shaped cutout. It comes in sizes for Alice, eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh bodies. I really do feel like this style and color scheme will work well any time of year, not just February. 

I am enamored with the Juliet Tapered Hem Dress prize from Park Place Casuals! It is a beautiful lavender color with delicate floral pattern, and that hemline is simply stunning. The prize includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. 

Our prize from Hardcore Clothing is their VALENTINES NEWS DRESS, and I will say that the name works well as part of the hint :) Another helpful tidbit is a reminder that many things in SL with doors will open if you click them, and that makes for interesting hiding spots. The dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and has a solid black bodice with patterned skirt that has various words with hearts and arrows adorning it. I would say it does in fact remind me of a newspaper, only more cheerful and no smudges from touching newsprint ;)

I also found the heart at RIISE, and happily claimed their Diana Prom Dress - Edition 1 from it. The style would have been too revealing for my Catholic school prom all those years ago, LOL, but I can think of plenty of events and places to wear it in SL. The gown comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body sizing. There is also a HUD provided with 8 color choices, so it is as versatile as it is lovely. 

My final look this evening comes from ..::S&B::.. and is called Studded Leather Tube Dress red. This sexy strapless number hugs every curve and highlights some of them with silvery studs. It is included in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizes.

Leather and Lace

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading down the Leather & Lace Hunt 4 path, where we are looking for $1L prizes hiding inside a BDSM symbol that is a form of triskele. That is a circle with 3 curved 'arms' in it, with a dot inside each section, in silver and black. There are hints on the hunt's website, with the landmarks to visit each stop. There are preview images for most of the prizes too, although a few will remain a mystery until you claim them ;) I had a hard time choosing just a handful of these treats to share, and I love how they appeal to my hidden inner bad girl. She is in there, deep down inside, and she is definitely intrigued by these!

My first look of the evening is the Wiccan Wears hunt prize called ~WW~ Kellie Dancer Olive. This dark mini dress has lots of playful fringe, and comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Signature Alice bodies. The dress is very formfitting, so you may need to use your body's alpha HUD to ensure a better fit. 

Our next stop is [Ari-Pari] where finding the hunt object means you can claim their lovely Amy Outfit - LALH4 for just $1L. Its blouse and skirt are each included in Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a HUD to choose from 8 colors for the blouse. I really appreciate the way they represented the hunt's theme, with a suede skirt for the leather and the lacy texture of the blouse for the lace part. 

::REA:: has a fantastic prize for us too, their Leather and Lace Dress. Find the symbol which contains the dress in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies, with a HUD offering 6 color choices for the dress and 7 for the skirt. There is a golden chain forming a T at the neckline, and the lace skirt layer looks pretty in the same color as the main dress or a complementary shade if you prefer.

This beautiful outfit is the prize from The Sissy Bar, simply called (TSB) Leather And Lace Hunt. The strapless dress and cropped jacket are each provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass, and Hourglass Petite bodies, as well as a standard fitted version for classic avatars. As you can see on the right above, it can be worn without the jacket, or you can always slip out of the jacket when things heat up. 

My final look of the evening is the Kimberly - Edition 1 dress from RIISE. It is very provocative with the plunging neckline and rear view, and lace swath across the midriff. It comes in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizes, with a 8 color HUD for versatility. Usually I lean towards purples and pinks, but I was particularly drawn to the bronze color on the right above too. All the colors peek through the lace overlay beautifully!

What an adventure the last two days have been...so I had the day of not being able to sleep, then yesterday I had a technology issue that turned out to be a DNS problem that I could login to SL but most things (including myself!) would not rez. I play simple games on an android tablet, and they weren't fully working either so I knew it was not an SL issue. It took several hours to get that resolved, and by then I was not in any shape to blog because I was still drowsy too. The good news is that I did manage to get more sleep, so I am doing okay and glad to be blogging :) I hope you all have an amazing weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Midweek Mix

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have quite a variety to show you, from several different sources, so put on your comfy shoes as we head across the grid :) We will be visiting the Designer Showcase event for the Entice offers, because I simply cannot resist a high quality bargain. Speaking of which, our next stop will be The Wash, for their Sun-Sational Summer Cart Sale that just opened and is ready to delight you until August 5th with selections for $50L or less from a wide range of talented designers. I even have a couple of time-sensitive hunt prizes to show you, as the Star Spangled Hunt has just a few days remaining to find hidden firecrackers and claim terrific prizes for a mere $1L each. It is an exciting night!

Entice is offering two coordinated separates in several versions each at Designer Showcase, their Hung Up Top - Graphic and the Hung Up Shorts - Neon. They are each available in 8 designs/colors for just $125L apiece, or you can choose the fatpack of each for $549L. The advantages of the fatpacks are 2 bonus colors or styles, and the ability to change textures via HUD which also includes the trim so you can create a constrasting look like I did on the left. Both the top and shorts come in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. Designer Showcase is open until the 28th of the month, so you have just under 2 weeks remaining to stop by, try a demo, and brighten up your summer wardrobe.

The Wash cart sales always make me so happy, even back before I was a blogger and was simply an eager bargain hunter, and I am starting my coverage of this round with a treat from Vicarious Youth. They offer fashions for adults and kids, and obviously this is one of their adult sized creations which is called {V*Y} Mimi Dress - Poodle Pink. The charming retro dress is just $25L and comes in plenty of sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. There is something irresistible about a poodle skirt, and I have fond memories of wearing one for a Halloween costume as a teenager. Artic Storm makes their home here on The Wash sim, and always take part in the fun of the cart sales here which allows us to save even more money on their beautiful wares. This is one of their many offerings called *AS* PONI Top & Shorts 8-color HUD, a new $25L release for the cart sale. The top and shorts are each provided in Alice, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and each with a HUD to choose from 8 textures. The bandeau style top is very flattering, and the high waisted shorts have playful ruffles in contrasting fabrics for added visual interest. 

Our next stop is Brocade Tiger, who are participating in the Star Spangled Hunt with prizes for the guys and gals. This is their Women's Short and Tank set, both pieces of which start out solid dark blue but then have an eye-catching patchwork of patriotic patterns. Find their hidden firecracker and you can claim this for just $1L, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.

For my final look of the evening, we head to RIISE where we are again looking for a hidden firecracker. This one contains their beautiful Hestia Star Bracelet, included in male and female sizes for left and right wrists each. There is also a HUD provided to choose from 12 metal colors each for the beads with and without chains/stars, then 5 choices for the stars themselves including a red/white/blue combination. I adore the versatility, and appreciate the fine details. 

I seem to be running a bit behind tonight, just on the slow side I suppose, and I apologize for the slight delay. It was a decent day here for the most part, and a few things got done around the home that needed to be handled. Pesky RL loves to get in the way of online time ;) My gentle suggestion of the evening is to check on someone (friend, family member, SL, RL) to ensure they are doing okay during these trying times, even if they seem strong, since we all have extra stress one way or another lately. Weekend Wash and Around The Grid

Hiya everyone! Tonight we start the weekend with a visit to the Wash Cart Sale, and explore the $10L bargains at each cart. There are offers for everyone, from dozens of talented designers, so there is a splendid variety to browse. I also have a few more treats from the Around The Grid in 80 Days 6 Hunt to show you, which are found by seeking out yellow and red striped hot air balloons for either $1L for the hidden one, or $25L for the one at the sign in each store if you prefer not to hunt. The SLURLs, hints, and even some preview photos can be found on their website, so (as usual with most hunts) I recommend having the site open when you head out to hunt.

Our first stop is the Artic Storm cart at The Wash, where you can find several different styles and designs including the *AS* Sweets Dress. I am wearing the Green Daisies version on the left and the Winter White on the right above, just $10L each. They come in fitmesh standard sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine fits. I love the built in belt, and the opening in the back beneath the pretty bow. Another must-see cart is that of Sweet Willows, where you will find among the many wonderful offers this Cashmere Short Set in Purple (left) and the Ruffle Dots Teal (right). Each come in a Maitreya size, for only $10L a piece. They are both playful styles and great colors, and there are other bargains to enjoy too. Over to the hunt path, we visit Grumble where you can claim this Over The Rainbow Bikini as our $1L prize inside the hidden hot air balloon. It comes in sizes for Freya, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique for each the top and bottom, pretty rainbows scattered on a sky blue background. The double straps really add to the sex appeal.

For another flirty swimsuit, be sure to find the balloon at NUTS Inc. so you can pick up this Puella Swimsuit along with a prize for the guys. This suit comes in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, with a HUD that lets you choose from 6 different textures. All are the skyline image you see above on the left half, and various solid colors down the right side.

My final look of the evening is our prize from RIISE, their lovely India Dress Edition 4. It is included in standard mesh sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. There is also a useful color HUD that lets you change to your choice of 7 hues such as the two bright and cheery ones shown above. The back has a kimono-like bow on the back also, lots of appealing details to this prize.

It was a stressful day to be honest, first my Google+ account was suspended because several of my posts (to communities about my blog posts only) were flagged as spam but I cannot find any evidence that I ever violated TOS. Then I lost internet for a few hours and almost didn't get into SL to take these photos and notes. The good news is that I appealed the suspension and it worked, I am back on Google+ and glad to be so! I am a bit afraid to post for a while though on the communities since I don't know what happened. If someone out there has a problem with something I am doing, please contact me directly instead of reporting me so I can learn what I am doing wrong? I am very willing to discuss things in a friendly, civil manner. Things are looking up, and I am eager to enjoy an outing in the morning. Sealed With A Kiss

Hiya everyone! Tonight I will be sharing some hunt prizes from the Sealed With A Kiss Hunt, which is a gridwide $1L hunt that also offers you the option to purchase each prize for $25L if you prefer not to hunt (or just cannot locate one) but still want the prize. The hunt object is a little white envelope with a red lip print, so they do appear to be sealed with a kiss :) There are hints available on the website and on many of the signs in the stores, which also helps serve as an example to see exactly what you are searching for. The site is helpful in showing prize previews as well, so I do recommend having it open while you hunt.

This prize gave me a much needed chuckle, so if it tickles your funny bone please head to Hopes Creations and find their envelope. It contains their [HC] SWAK Hunt Shirt, in standard fitmesh sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. There is a HUD also provided that lets you choose from 3 different colors, each with its own image, such as the two seen above. The third one you don't see here is a light pink that says Never Been Kissed. 

Next we have another terrific top, this time from Sin Original called Catalina Hoodie. This cropped cutie is included in sizes for eBody, Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. I love the way the more subtle lip prints are brought out by the larger bright one in the front and center, with Kiss written beneath it. In this photo as well as the one before, I am wearing a favorite Marketplace gift of mine, jeans from Delizio that come in several different colors as system layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. This is the blue version, a solidly traditional choice that I reach for time and time again.

Magnolia Designs has a really intriguing prize waiting inside their envelope for us, and they have no hint listed so I will just remind you to be sure to look upstairs as well as on the main floor :) The gift starts with the Cupid Dress in sizes for EVE pulpy, EVE slim, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, with a thong in appliers for EVE, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. Then we can add the jewelry, the Heart Gem earrings and matching necklace, with the final component being the gorgeous feathery wings with a resize script built in. Wear it all at once, or just the parts that suit your mood, this prize is a real showstopper.

With the prize from RIISE, we can bundle up in style and in our choice of colors. When I arrived at their store I saw signs saying it is coming soon, but the hunt sign is outside, so I read the hint again and looked around outside the store...there is a little building across from the store that might catch your eye ;) That said, our prize is this Scarlett Sweater Dress, which comes in standard sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. There is also a handy HUD that offers 15 different colors for the main part of the sweater, and you know I am a huge fan of having the ability to change colors to shake things up a bit. 

For my final look of the evening, I am pleased to show you the romantic prize from Go Frock Yourself called GFY-Kiss From A Rose Nail Appliers. There are HUDs included for Belleza, Omega, and Slink, with 3 background colors for our beautiful blooms. There is a lovely glossiness to these designs too, which I think suits the roses very well. Just find the hidden envelope and claim these for only $1L.

Hair note of the night: yesterday, Truth Hair released their new VIP Group Gift called Carla, and I chose the Redhead HUD from among all the fatpack of colors for my familiar auburn shade. The group is not free to join, but if you are a fan like me, the monthly exclusive gifts are worth it. There will probably be a new release in a couple of days for Uber, and if so there is a good chance that I will be trying maniacally to get into a crowded sim to pick that up too ;) 

Today was fairly busy, so I am tired but have lots still to do before I sleep again. I had acupuncture needles in my toes for the first time so that was interesting, LOL, only one was uncomfortable and just for a few seconds though.
