Hiya everyone! Halloween is less than two weeks away, so plenty of places are clearly in the holiday spirit and the Candy Fair 2016 is a perfect example. When you visit to shop for sweet treats of all kinds, you will also see some signs with little green guys holding bowls of candy. Be sure to click them all, so you can claim some trick-or-treat goodies :) No group needed, everyone can take part in the festivities while admiring the gorgeous layout and fun offerings.
I am enjoying these colors a lot, even matching my umbrella and my hair for fun :) The hair is our gift from Wasabi Pills called Willa Mesh Hair - Candy Fair 2016 Gift and comes in regular, boobs, and flat versions so you can pick whichever suits your avatar best. The green-purple ombre is accentuated by that purple swirl barrette which is a part of the hair itself. The umbrella from Organica comes in black/orange as well as the purple/green shown, and there is a hold pose separate so you can provide your own pose if you prefer. My delicious looking bodysuit is our gift from *Epic*, their Omega Dripping Henley Bodysuit in Liquorice and Orange. As the name implies, this is simply an Omega HUD (sorry, no system layers) so it will work with a variety of mesh bodies. I love the little buttons and the pockets, sweet details that make a difference.
More hair and more fun treats! This hair is the gift from Love called Send My Love, and includes rigged and unrigged versions plus a fatpack of HUDs for the colors: blondes, brunettes, candies, gingers, greyscale, mystics, oddities, ombres, pastel, and roots & streaks. The one shown above on the left is from the gingers HUD, the right from the Mystics. My avi is enjoying the BananaN Gingerbreadman voodoo treat in her mouth, and holding the Blueberry Hill frank pop for later noms. I included closer views so you could appreciate just how cute they both are! The headband I'm wearing is also a fair gift, the Rotten Hairband from Dichotomy which has a HUD with 5 color choices.
There is more hair to be found in all those great gifts, the one I'm wearing here is one of the 4 colors from the [Mello] Hide&Seek Candy Fair Gift, this is Pumpkin Spice. The others include Cauldron, Zombie, and you'll see the fourth color in the next photo ;) So how precious is my new narwhal friend? Click the bowl of candy at the Paper Rabbit display and you can claim your very own holiday themed narwhal for free. I am also wearing the gift from Blah., the Donut Ring which comes with a resize HUD, and you can see a closer look at that on the right. On the left inset is a better glimpse of my lipstick, one of 6 colors in the alaskametro <3 gift called "TuttiFrutti" lipstick. This is shade 01, and all the shades are included in system layers plus appliers for Catwa, Lelutka, and Omega.
My last look for the evening is another [Mello] hair, the Spellpower deep purple color of the hair from the previous photo. I am also wearing another shade of the Tutti Frutti lipsticks from alaskametro <3, this one being #04 of the 6. I am also holding a gift from [LJ] and elephante poses, who collaborated to bring us our very own replica of the sign and purple and green guys who hold the bowl we are clicking to receive all these treats! Now you get to see what you will be looking for at the event, and this particular gift is a wonderful souvenir of the event.
There is an eye note tonight, these are the Choco Eyes from (*ANGELICA) and they are one of the gifts from the fair as well, coming in dark and light as well as system and mesh versions for each shade. I have a few more goodies from the fair to show you tomorrow, which just goes to show how very many gifts can be found there. It was worth braving the crowds to see the amazing setup they have there, and I can easily see spending way too many lindens at those gachas. Whoever invented the idea of gachas in SL is an evil genius, LOL!

Hiya everyone! I braved the wilds of the Hair Fair 2016 this morning, and I did manage to pick up handfuls of generous gifts to show you. Lots of fun colors and styles, and it is always nice to see the donation kiosks getting good use and all those amazing hairstyles designated as donating a portion to Wigs for Kids. The Hair Fair is open until July 31st, and there are countless designers for every taste including many indicated on the website as offering male hair too. I'm always glad when the guys aren't left out :) Tonight I am showing you a few gifts from Backlot East, the sim called Platinum, and the event does cover several sims so that information could prove helpful.
First we have a very wearable color demo from Lelutka called Nova, which comes with all of their HUDs with 40 color options each. Those HUDs are called bauble, blonde, brown, cloud, gravity, naturals, and red, and I went with a fun fade on the left and the red I'd normally choose on the right. Those cascades of waves make this just a wonderful gift.
If you prefer a chic updo, pick up the gift at the Tukinowaguma display and you can claim this *TGW* Izumi with unrigged, rigged, and fitted versions. There are several HUDs included for choosing your color: 3 blondes, 3 browns, 2 colors, and 3 red/blacks, with fades and ombres galore. This is an elegant style with so much versatility in all those color choices, much appreciated of a gift.
Back to a more casual style, this is our gift from [Mello] called Beyond Stars, in their ALLTHECOLORS <3 pack. That is a great way to put it, and a stellar variety (yes that is a pun) of HUDs that look like constellations: Darks, Galaxies, Neutrals, Neutrals2LessShine, Pastel Magic, and Pales. As you can see, I was enjoying the fantasy selections quite a bit, and am in love with that mermaid-like one on the left :)
Sometimes we want an unusual look to stand out from the crowd, and this intriguing gift from .Shi definitely fits that bill. This is their Valiant unisex style, a fully loaded fatpack with color HUDs dblonde, dbrown, dips, lblonde, lbrown, mono, pastel, and reds. The style is really unique, and I noticed that other people have been eagerly blogging this gift as well. My jewelry is actually another gift at the Hair Fair, courtesy of EMO-tions, a lovely set called *VERONICA* including the necklace and earrings. With that deep burnished gold and the delicate pastel minty color of the pearls, these beauties can spice up any outfit.
One last peek for the evening, this is our gift from CHEVEUX and what a cute bob! This color seems to be specifically for the Hair Fair gift, and the style is simply numbered M081 which seems to be how they name their many creations. I used the resizer script so the wisps wouldn't be embedded in my cheeks, this is about 15% larger than default so this would be terrific on a youthful avi as well.
A few notes for tonight, let's start with Something very noticeable in that last photo particularly...my eyes. I am proud to present one of the two group gifts for the month from Inkheart, Tender Eyes in Cinnamon. I am wearing the large size in mesh, they are also available in system versions and other sizes included. The group is free to join and their eyes are always stunning. I finally picked up the WoW skins gift for July that was available for a couple of days already I believe. This is called Katty and I'm wearing the tan shade, several others are included plus Omega HUDs. They had a period of free group membership recently and honestly I am not sure if it's still going on, normally there is a fee to join but all prior group gifts are available. My dress tonight is another version of one I blogged recently from Lilbit Sass, a Midnight Mania prize called Jordan Shimmer in Bronze. This comes in several fitmesh sizes including Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. There are 2 locations of Lilbit Sass and the group is free to join, there are boards and lucky chairs at each location along with other goodies.
Whew, what a whirlwind! After crashing at least a dozen times at the Hair Fair, I was hoping to have a peaceful day but wound up going out after all. RL is rather relentless that way ;) I have plans for each of the next 5 days, so lots going on but I have plenty more Hair Fair gifts to show you the next few days.
