I Love Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are diving into the gifts from the Hollyhock region of SL23B Shop & Hop. As you probably know by now, this is a celebration of Second Life's 23rd birthday which features a round of Shop & Hop among many events and things to do :) We have a total of 480 stores on 24 regions (18 mature, 6 adult) where we can find discounted offers as well as generous gifts. I love these opportunities to become familiar with new designers, see what's happening with ones I already know, and of course find some amazing bargains! Xan and I are also peeking at the exhibitor regions and are endlessly impressed by the passion and creativity that goes into those. We have about a week and half left to enjoy, so don't dawdle :) Oh and remember to use the FabFree spreadsheet to make sure you aren't missing any of these thoughtful gifts, as their team has worked hard to organize that info and keep it updated for everyone. 

Life is better on the beach, at least that's the message you will see on our Chakra - Life at Beach - Female - Blue gift :) This brightly colored tee comes in Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and includes an alpha layer that I did find helpful for my Legacy body here. The waist is nipped in slightly beneath those gently baggy sleeves, while the lower hem is flared out to accommodate lots of types of pants and skirts. I'm wearing the white Delizio jeans from their marketplace fatpack freebie, as my instinct is usually to try BOM pants for ease of layering.

This beauty is our ANNA - Bella Mini Dress-Lace Blue gift, which is one of two you'll find in this store's display. The style makes me think ballerina, with that full lacy skirt and formfitting bodice, and the color is like a clear sky. There are Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn sizes included in this gift.

Their other gift for us is the lovely ANNA-Vanessa Dress Fatpack 1. It consists of the dress and pants (panties) each in Gen X, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and HUDs for each. The dress HUD offers 17 choices, a mix of solids and patterns, while the pants HUD has 8 colors to choose from. The bust has sheer lace trim that does show some nippleage, so that is why I chose a pose with the arms up to block that from view ;) Actually I've just remembered a bit too late that I have pasties that came with my skin and would cover that up, but it was still worth mentioning. 

Clearly I need more excuses to get formally dressed up in SL, because our UNA. Rita slb Gift deserves to be shown off! There is something so stunning about this strapless gown with wrapped sash around the hips, bustled on the left side and slightly reflective in my ambient lighting. It fits Lara X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies. I'm undecided on what type of jewelry would suit it best, as I can envision something simple or a more bold necklace and earrings for example.

I feel like my final look of the evening is a nod to the Golden Age of Hollywood theme of SL23B. :ALTER: Tokio Mini Dress @Gold is a beautiful single shouldered minidress, shimmering in satin to make the golden color even more of a shiny metallic treat. The gift includes sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. 

I'm losing track of time, the day of the week, LOL, all of it is just blending together right now ;) At least I had a good time gaming with friends earlier, although my friend's husband had emergency dental work (2 teeth pulled, ouch) so he was understandably on the quiet side. I felt so bad for him, and was glad to hear him sounding fairly cheerful. The weather is clearing up from a rain standpoint here, but the temps are staying high and steamy so I am grateful for AC and fans when I'm able to stay indoors. Weekend Swank

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we return to the SWANK Event for their Goth theme round with pumpkin hunt. These prizes are all completely free for everyone who finds the carved pumpkins with a golden Swank logo in the opening. You just need their group tag active, and that is free to join too, so that just leaves the tempting sales offers if you wish to make some purchases while there ;) I am not trying to be a bad influence if you're being cautious with your spending habits, which is why I usually focus on discounts and freebies. By the same token, I understand that without some shopping to support these designers, they wouldn't be able to provide gifts and hunt prizes. So they go hand in hand, grab the gifts and thank them by checking out their sales offers :)

My first look of the evening is the playful ANNA 'Softline' Outfit'FATPACK. It consists of the lacy bra, skirt, and panties, each in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies. There is also a HUD enclosed with 8 color choices for each piece, so we can mix and match with ease. This is such a pretty set, and the lace has me thinking lingerie :)

What better way to head into your weekend than decked out in leopard print? The {Le'La} Evora Dress Gift is a stunning long sleeved mini dress with black trim to really bring out the animal print's rosettes nicely, and that zipper in the front just begs to be played with ;) There are sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies included.

These two gifts are variants of the same beautiful dress, so I'm showing them together as a way to appreciate both lovely colors. The AXE-DRESS IDA /07 is the turquoise beauty on the left, and AXE-DRESS IDA /09 is the golden hued one on the right. They both have silver chains for the shoulder straps, and a velvety texture that makes both colors even more appealing. Each gift holds sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies.

In a prior post of Swank gifts, I shared a V8 Underground treat and mentioned there was another for the ladies (and one for the gents), well here it is! Their **ABADDON X DEMON CONCEPT COSTUME COMPLETE OUTFIT** is fully loaded from head to toe, starting with the pauldron (top/shoulders), panties, and boots that fit Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The makeup you see is a BOM layer for EvoX, and there are BOM layers for sheer transparence that is the shiny latex appearance on my midriff and thighs. We also receive two bracelets, a choker, horns, headpiece, tail, wings, and a fork that is held in my right hand with its built in pose. All of these items are adjustable, so you can get the devilishly good fit you deserve :) Personally I think they excel at creating costumes which makes this a special time of year to check their sales.

My final look tonight is our #SHOOSH - Elvi Gown [FATPACK] which is simply fantastic for this time of year :) It did make me think of Elvira when I spotted it, and also Morticia Addams, two elegantly gothic women who would rock this gown in a heartbeat! There are sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies provided, along with a HUD that allows us to select from 25 colors each for the dress and sleeves, plus on/off for the sleeves, then 5 metals each for the back web, sleeve spiders, and dress spider, with on/off options for each of those as well. I've got it all visible on the left, and I turned off the sleeve spiders to the right without hiding the dramatically peaked sleeves because I simply adore them :) If you have some arachnophobia tendencies and want to hide all the spiders, it's very easy to do so and this still looks fantastic without.

It was a decent day, with a delicious meal at my parents' so that's always a plus :) My nerves are still frazzled but that is because I'm going out again in the morning and that makes 3 days in a row which is a lot for someone with agoraphobia. Anyone remember the Simpsons episode where Marge developed it from being mugged, and was magically cured by the end of the episode? My life is clearly not animated fiction, lol, and I am not thrilled with that type of portrayal because it makes people wonder why I am not being cured as easily. It took me over 30 years to get to this point, so there is no switch I can flip to turn it off. Bob's Burgers actually included a character with it in an episode, and they handled it nicely so I wish they would bring her back :) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Halloween Swank Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is an invitation to the Halloween themed round of the SWANK Event, where they are holding their annual Pumpkin Hunt. Now I know they call it a hunt, but it's more of an exploration of their large 2 story building, clicking all the pumpkins you can find with the golden Swank logo on the front. They are located similarly to their anniversary gifts I shared last month :) Dozens and dozens of gifts await, just have their free group tag active to be able to click those pumpkins and receive a bounty of treats. I would say that many but not all are Halloween themed, so no worries if you either aren't ready for Halloween yet, are already tired of it (goodness I hope not because I'll have more!) or simply are not a fan of the holiday. Usually my posts for all of October are filled with orange and black, pumpkins, bats, and all sorts of seasonal goodies because the SL community seems to go all in on it :)

My first look is the [Pink&Love] Scarlett - Outfit - FAT PACK, found inside their pretty pumpkin. There are several colors (ciel, dust, lilac, onyx, pinky witch, and violet) each packaged separately with the top, skirt, sleeves, and garters in regular and maze versions each in sizing for Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. I'm wearing the pinky witch on the left, and violet on the right. Oops did I mention that the unrigged hat is provided with each color? The outfit looks so soft and velvety, very playful indeed.

This is the second time this week I have felt like my look was inspired by an album cover :) This time I can't recall what album though, so please comment if you know? This is the ANNA-Halloween gift, a sexy feathered bikini and gold trimmed wings, all with a 5 color HUD which tints it all at once. The bikini top and bottom each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. We can easily wear this without the wings if preferred, although I am a fan of the full look because the more feathers the better.

I look remarkably cheerful here for someone who is splattered with an ominous red liquid, eh? ;) Our [ZEX] Lilith Top & Skirt . Bloody gift has sizes inside for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Nerido, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The top has three straps, the center of which connects to the intriguing collar, and even the hem of the top has a double dip that reminds me of a bat wing. Of course my avi is too sweet and innocent for that to be blood, so do we think I was making strawberry jam? Walking too close to a paintball court? Maybe I wandered into an art exhibit...

The Sascha's Designs gift is called SAS - Mona Orange Outfit, and I'm digging the fact that its color is a nod to the season without being strictly limited to October :) The jumpsuit and matching jacket are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh body sizes. We can wear them together or enjoy the jumpsuit with bared shoulders if we wish, but those cuffed sleeves are such a cute touch on the jacket. Speaking of nice touches, I am a big fan of the dangling strands from the attached belt on the jumpsuit and the way they are tipped in shiny metal.

My final look of the evening can be yours just for clicking the Black Angel store's pumpkin :) PURPLE WITCH OUTFIT by BA Store includes the dramatic high-low hemmed dress and matching boots, each sized for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is also a tall witchy hat that is included but not shown, as I was having a little trouble adjusting it because I have a large head and lots of hair, much like RL ;) The dress is a stunner with bare shoulders, spooky gravestones and trees on the front, and an entire flock of bats on the long back of the skirt. Fun fact, a group of bats can also be called a colony or cauldron among other names. I've always wondered who decides those things as sometimes I see conflicting info when looking up names of animal groups, but cauldron feels just right for this time of year.

I should know better by now than to make plans, because life always comes along and says 'nope'. I had to cancel my outing with my mom due to a non-anxiety related health issue, something that likes to crop up from time to time and prevents me from being in a moving vehicle. So I'll see her Friday for dinner as long as that doesn't somehow fall through, heh, like if my visit with my family doctor that day goes horribly awry. I'm not trying to jinx myself, just a bit frustrated and letting pessimism creep into my attempt to be realistic. It'll be okay, and if not I will deal with it when the time comes. I have several blog posts planned from Swank, Shop & Hop, and hunts, so it is a busy week with lots to see and enjoy. Colorful SWANK Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we've got another handful of group gifts from the SWANK Event and their Celebration of Colors round. It is an ideal time with Pride month, and the gifts are tucked inside rainbow striped flames at many of the displays on both floors of this large event. I've been a fan of SWANK for quite a while now, and I think you can tell why :) Talented designers, generous gifts, it is a winning combination for sure.

My first look of the evening is our ANNA-eZY Dress Swank Event Pride gift, a sexy draped dress with plunging neckline and diagonal hem. The gift includes sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies, with a HUD offering 10 terrific colors. I really like all of them so it was difficult to narrow down to just two for the photo, so random it is :)

Our [GIULIADESIGN] EWA- 1 gift is an easy-to-wear one piece with the appearance of a sleek turtleneck tucked into a miniskirt with softly pleated hem. There are Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes included. 

It's the right time of year for flirty swimwear, like our [COSMOS] Isabel Bikini Set Lace / 2 Colors I am enjoying here :) The top and bottom each fit Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Kupra Bimbo, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD to select from two colors each for the main fabric, trim, and lace insets for each piece. Blue and beige are a lovely combo, and the single strapped top is a playful detail :) The straps on the bottom are at different heights from each other so there is a delightful feeling of whimsy combined with sex appeal.

This beauty is the SAS - Nylah BabyPink Dress gift from Sascha's Designs. It is a soft and sweet shade of pale pink, with notably low neckline that seems barely held up by the slender spaghetti straps. We receive Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing in our thoughtful gift.

For my final look of the night, I slipped into the {Le'La} Blake Outfit with its wonderful tropical vibes. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies each of the top, skirt, and sandals you see above, so it can be well coordinated as a complete look. We also get a handy HUD with 12 choices for each, solids for the top and sandals with pattern (mostly floral) for the diagonally cut skirt. I've been a fan of this brand for a long time, and this is not the only gift we can find here from them :) So I am one grateful and happy magpie!

It was another scorcher today, and the evening is not much cooler. It was 79.8 degrees in my office when I started this post, and I'm very glad that it's down to 76.3 now but would appreciate it going even a little lower if it could. It occurred to me that my stomach issues the past several days coincided with the increased dose of the new med, so I sent my doctor a message asking about it and I am planning on dropping back to the bare minimum dose while I wait to hear back. Since it's the first time I have sent a message to this new doctor, I don't know yet how prompt she is in replying, but fingers crossed that it's before the weekend. Shop and Hop Hollyhock

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some more Valentine Shop & Hop gifts to show you, this time from the Hollyhock region which is one of 14 beautifully decorated areas packed with talented designers. All are offering discounted items and even gifts for all visitors, so it is very worth exploring this wonderful event. That's no surprise though, each round of Shop & Hop is always a fantastic source of treats and bargains :) This particular round is open until the 19th of the month, so we do have about a week and half left to visit.

For my first look of the evening, I slipped into the seductive Blackstone - Tricia Dress - Fatpack gift. It has a daring V neckline and brief hem, and comes in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Lara X, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. We also receive a HUD with 10 dress colors (black, white, various hues of pink and red) and 6 metals for the zipper in the back. Its colors are suitable for, but certainly not limited to, the Valentine season :)

Another gift I'm very grateful for is from [Witch In A Box], their sexy Butterfly Dress Gift. I always look forward to seeing what they have to offer, and this round the gift is a strapless corset style dress with the sides slit all the way up ;) It includes Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Mounds mesh body sizing. The design on the front is intriguing, as usually if I said something has an image of a butterfly and flowers you would probably think of a much more girlie or cute type vibe, yet this is an accurate simplified description of this beauty. 

ANNA has two gifts for us that combine into one wonderful outfit :) The Jasmin Blouse and Jasmin Skirt are each packed separately in sizes for Gen X Classic, Legacy, Maitreya Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The skirt is barely a wisp of soft satin, while the blouse has a unique style with one long sleeve beneath a bare shoulder and a wide strap for the other side. I always appreciate when separates can be worn individually too, so we get even more versatility. 

I kept the Anna-Jasmin- Skirt on to show another top, our gift from Everfaery called Breeze Top: Black Hearts. The fluttery style caught my eye, and the single strap makes for another flirty design. The hearts scattered about are a nod to the season, but my internal calendar says hearts are always in season! ♥ There are Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Senra Jamie mesh body sizes provided in our gift.

My final look of the night is a hot pink lingerie set, our AURORA Paulin Hearts Gift. The top, panties, and garters (both legs together) are each separates in sizing for eBody Reborn, Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Kupra Bimbo, Legacy, Perky, Perky Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya Flat, and Peach mesh bodies. The bra has a fun clasp in the front and a T strap in the back, with similar clasps on both sides of the panties and the garters. The teeny white hearts are just the right touch, romantic added to sex appeal.

I wound up staying home today, and then watching hockey in the evening, so it wasn't a bad day even if it didn't go the way I'd expected. That seems to be par for the course lately ;) I have a few different things to share in my next few posts, so I am excited about that, although I am going to confuse myself with all the body switching at this rate. Another Serving of Swank

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are returning to the Swank Event for their annual pumpkin hunt for free group gifts. There are so many here just waiting to be claimed by finding the carved orange pumpkins each adorned with a golden Swank logo, and honestly they are not generally hard to see so it's less of a hunt and more of a gift bonanza :) I've shared some already this month and there were still dozens waiting in the folder, but I randomly picked out a handful of fashions to share so in case you haven't stopped by yet, be tempted! There is something for nearly everyone and not just fashions but other wearable (makeup, companions, jewelry, etc.) and home decor to freshen up your home as well as your wardrobe.

My first look of the evening is our Skindustrial Bodyworks gift called SKBW Spookt Dress. It really is a lovely choice for Halloween when you want something seasonal but not overly scary, as it is adorned with kitties in zombie costumes, pumpkins, and witch hats :) There are sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies of this tulip hemmed mini dress that is sure to flatter many shapes and figures.

Next we go from cute to sexy, thanks to *OA-MEO* and their =Moira= dress gift. The dress and panty are both provided in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizing, with a texture HUD of 20 choices that breaks down to 4 colors of 5 different textures including solid. The non-solid ones are seasonal, but that shouldn't stop us from enjoying this any time of year with the solid colored texture selected :) The rear view is the real showstopper here, with delicate ties up top and a plunging opening that reveals the thong of the black panties before being loosely knotted with the tails hanging down. If modesty is a concern, you could always wear a BOM layer pair of panties that cover more than the thong here does.

I sure had fun imagining all the places we could wear the [GIULIADESIGN] -DONNA- BLACK gift! It includes the dress and choker each in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with BOM black fishnet stockings that end at the ankle. The strapless dress is trimmed in lace and has a sheer corset style midriff, while the choker has a beautiful teardrop charm with red flowers upon it. This is one of those looks that straddles a line between Halloween and Goth in my mind, leaving endless possibilities of when and where to wear it. 

I went for more vibrant colors here with the ANNA 'Stella Night Dress sparkle gift, which is not the only one by this generous designer :) There are Legacy and Maitreya sizes provided, along with a HUD that offers 8 colors for us to choose from. The dress does indeed sparkle, subtly enough that I would not be able to capture it in a still image so you will simply have to find it and wear it for yourself to see. I was truly enchanted by it, and hope you will be too.

My final look tonight brings sex appeal in seasonal flavor. It is our Next Door Designs Zara Halloween Dress gift, and it fits eBody Reborn, Juicy, Freya, Isis, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. The halter top is tied from a gathered bust, with two more gathered areas in the front to show off more flashes of skin and make that special someone smile. Just think, their smile will be even more appealing than the many grins of the jack o'lantern faces appearing on our fabric, since many of those look fairly sinister rather than flirty. 

It felt like a long day since I didn't get as much sleep as I'd have liked, and my therapy session dug into my thoughts on probably missing out on Thanksgiving in a few weeks so that was fairly intense. I'm doing fairly okay now, just occasionally having moments of overthinking things. Tomorrow at dinner with my parents I can discuss things with them, as they haven't mentioned any plans yet which seems a bit unusual.
