Love & Camouflage in New Orleans

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several treats to share with you, starting with the treasure hunt at the Love & Camouflage in New Orleans event which is open until the 17th of February. We are looking for mardi gras masks here, which will give you a gift for free when you locate and click each one. There are stores in the buildings along the walkway that have prizes, as well as the carts and displays along the path. One of the prizes reminded me to let you know about Grumble's new store location, which I decided to do by sharing a group gift you can find there :) So we are visiting just two locations total, with plenty of excitement at each. 

First look of the evening, we have the flirty Dark Heart Dress treasure hunt prize from Atlantis Design. It includes standard mesh sizes as well as sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. I love the texture of various sized hearts that look 3D!

Next we see another treasure hunt prize, this time from TrendZy Apparel. Their sexy *TA* Cammy Red Star Dress and Shoes is free when you find their mardi gras mask, and starts with the shiny mini in sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. The perfect way to complete the look is with the matching deep red shoes, in sizing for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High feet. 

I combined two prizes for this look, but of course you can wear either component with whatever makes you smile. The outfit is the Kelly Set 4 from Sands Design, whose top and shorts are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The top has an opening in the front that is laced loosely enough to show off some midriff skin, and the shorts really hug those curves. I thought the Grumble prize brought just the right touch of whimsy to the outfit. It's called Alicia Boots-Rainbow Hearts, and these stiletto heeled ankle boots come in sizes for Alice, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Hourglass feet. 

The awesome boots from Grumble are what reminded me to visit their new location, as they have moved into the sim of the same name as the store. I couldn't resist sharing one of the group gifts found there, for the Inventory Trends group which is free to join. Their lovely Edge Dress-Black is sleeveless with a flared skirt beneath a drop waist, which is a very flattering style. It includes sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. Be sure to look around and enjoy their new location :)

Greetings from a winter wonderland! The snow continues to fall, and will be doing so all through the night and most of tomorrow, so it is pretty out but very cold. I didn't actually go outside, just peeped through the window to see how much had accumulated. Tomorrow I am looking forward to a hockey game in the evening, and in SL there are hunts and events starting for the new month so there will be plenty to explore. Thursday Advent Treats

 Hiya everyone! This morning I have some more Advent calendar gifts to share with you, all available today (Thursday the 17th). Some of them are from calendars for free group members, with others completely free with no group tag required. This is such a special time of year, and it brings out the generosity in the designers in SL so much that we can almost forget how rough this year has been otherwise. 

First we visit NoShot, who have a 12 days of Christmas calendar for each, male and female, right next to each other. This is the beautiful ~NS~ Strapless Dress With Flouncing Outer Skirt Dress Ice, which is a perfectly descriptive name to tell you about the star-covered dress. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. 

Next I combined two different gifts, so I will start from the top ;) The sweater is from Go Frock Yourself, their adorable ~GFY~Gingerbread Man Sweater. It is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. No group tag is needed to click the Advent calendar in the back of their store. The pants are from [JUSTICE], whose free group you will need to belong to in order to claim their Kylee Leggings - Snow. You will receive two versions, cotton (shown above) and leather texture, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. There is also a HUD for the studs down the sides, 5 metals to choose from. The neutral color means they will go with so many different tops, so versatile!

I changed into the leather texture of the JUSTICE leggings, which turned out to be a fun pairing for today's gift from -[ vagrant ]- called Ashley Hoody - Red. It says "Queen of Hearts" on the front beneath a crown, and the cropped style is so tantalizing! The vagrant group is free to join, and you'll need their group tag active to claim this gift in sizes for Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 7 metals, 21 colors for the strings, and the same 21 for the sleeves. I am ready for anything in this beauty!

I also visited Sands Design this morning, where their free (no group tag required) Advent calendar gave me this lovely SD TONI DRESS. It looks terrific in pale blue with a watercolor type design on both front and back, and I am loving the peekaboo cutouts and high thigh slits. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. While you are here, please don't forget to visit the TrendZy Apparel store that is two doors to the right when you walk out the front door, for their free calendar too :)

For my final look of the day, I changed to my Emerald Couture group tag (free to join) and found box #17 on their display of Advent boxes. I clicked it and was excited to claim their EC Phoebe Outfit v2 Dark Night Gold. The top and skirt are included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, with matching heels that fit Belleza, Maitreya, Slink High, and Tonic feet. The golden trim adds a chic touch, especially on the very short skirt hem.

My area got a few inches of snow, and it is still falling so I am not sure of the grand total yet. They were predicting 5-9" which is a fairly substantial amount, and I have heard snow plows out there at least twice during the night. Otherwise my day was quiet, and I am not planning on going anywhere until my dinner at my parents' tomorrow. I've been listening to Christmas music to try to get more into the holiday mood, and sometimes it works :) Anyone else do that? All the decorations I see in various stores in SL help too, and we visited a Santa Village sim while waiting for today's Advent calendars to start so that was really fun. My next blog post will be tomorrow evening rather than morning, to give me time to get rest after and go to dinner. Love & Camouflage Treasure Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have been exploring the Love & Camouflage event, which in addition to plenty of intriguing sales offers, has a treasure hunt happening. The event just opened a couple of days ago, and runs until the 25th of February, so you have plenty of time to stop by. It is really beautifully decorated by the way, which adds to the enjoyment of seeking the hunt objects at most of the displays, Venetian harlequin masks. Just click each one you find to receive a free gift, anything from clothing to accessories to home decor. In this post I will be focusing on fashion, as I tend to do ;)

My first look is the treasure from COVETED! that consists of a camo tank top, camo cargo pants, and unrigged boots. This outfit speaks to the second half of the event's name for sure :) The top and pants are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing, and the boots can be adjusted to suit your feet or you can hide/detach the feet as well.

Moonstar has a generous gift for us too, their Mesh Silver Cupid Silk Dress and Necklace. The dress is provided in plenty of sizes for all: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The necklace has a built in resize script so you can ensure a nice fit. There is even a modesty butterfly included in system layers and an Omega applier to cover your down-below-bits. Did you notice the cute cupids on the pattern of the dress?

Another prize you don't want to miss is from Meander/Me, their playful Salsa Pop Purple dress. It certainly has pops of color among all those pretty ruffles, and is such a flattering style. So many vibrant patterns, you are bound to find one you enjoy.

For my final look of the evening, I am pleased to share the treasure hunt prize from Kalani's Designs called KDS Helgie FitMesh Dress Purple. It includes sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, plus 5 classic and 5 fitmesh sizes for the original classic avatars. The cutouts on each side are fun touches, and I am liking the interesting pattern on the fabric.
