Special Advent-ure

 Hiya everyone! This morning I'm back with some more Advent calendar gifts, which you can pick up today only at all the participating stores. Some need group tags that are currently free to join, with a couple of the treats not needing any particular group to claim. This is such a fun time of year, where we really get to appreciate the generosity of the SL designers :) I hope you've been checking the FabFree Advent listing for the ones that started in the past few days, as the 12 days of Christmas are being celebrated by many stores too. Let's get to the excitement!

My first look comes from ::ALTER:: and is their lovely Eisa Dress ~ Red gift for the 17th. Their group is temporarily free to join, to let us claim these gifts for absolutely free :) Our crimson mini dress has a halter neck, mostly bare back, and scooped openings on each side of the midriff. There are sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, as well as a HUD with 2 metals to choose from for the ring in the center that holds things all together. 

I couldn't resist sharing the *V* Blue Silky Snowflake Dress gift for today from the Moonstar calendar, for which you do not need a group to click. The shiny blue fabric caught my eye, then the sparkly snowflakes that make up the pattern. It's strapless and has a short full skirt, just right for dancing :) Our gift includes Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu sizes, along with a BOM white modesty butterfly to act as an undergarment. So pretty!

Time to change group tags for this one, the [Pink&Love] Nami - Lingerie - Doll gift for the 17th. Their group is free to join, and I love that the color is a nod to the store name. Our top and panty each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and there is a HUD with 10 metal colors for the heart charm in the center of the bikini top and several other little adornments. The fluttery panties do form a thong in the rear, which is why I chose more of a side view than a booty shot.

My next stop is a must-see because there are two generous Advent calendars right next to each other! This is the day 17 gift from Tibuki called Teal HoHoHo Shirt & Romper. Each piece is provided in sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and the romper has cute snowflakes on the left hip while the slightly unbuttoned top has a festive pattern with ho ho ho, but the O's are Santas, penguins, and reindeer faces :) They look great in teal, don't ya think? Not shown but equally wonderful is the gift from the Dark Salvation board next to this one, and both of them are selling all prior gifts for $25L each.

My final look of the day is from Blackstone, where their free offering of the day is this stunning Giulia Dress Recolor - Brown. There is no group tag needed, just find the correct date and give it a click. I'm always a fan of halter neck styles, and this beauty has bare shoulders and a short skirt beneath the attached bold belt. There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, plus a HUD for the belt with 20 colors for the main belt and 15 hues for the metals. Since the dress is a neutral color (looking a bit charcoal in my lighting and compared to a lighter brown wall behind me) all of those belt colors are going to look fantastic!

Another day, another unexpected plan for the week...I need to meet with my doctor about my medication, and she has a cancellation this week so I'll be there Thursday. My plan right now is to blog tomorrow evening and then probably Thursday evening, but I cannot guarantee that if the appointment takes longer than expected. Friday I've got my hair appointment and dinner with the folks, so that was already a busy day planned :) Thick wavy hair gets so heavy when it's longer, and my scalp is more tender than it used to be so it does cause headaches and needs to be shorter than it is now. More WIP Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're returning to the WIP Event, because I've got more generous group gifts to share. Their group is free to join, and almost all of the displays have a pretty giftbox for us to click and claim some festive treats. Some are holiday themed but many are not, so you can enjoy them whenever you wish regardless of the calendar. I'm eager to return and do some shopping before this round wraps up on the 22nd :)

My first look shows two very different but equally terrific tops, so I'll start from the left. That would be our [Mow] Lewa Top @Black gift, a sheer tube top with loosely attached sleeves, cinched in the middle to help accentuate cleavage. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies included. The cozy treat on the right is our Duet Songbird Sweater, with turtleneck and cute design on the upper left chest. Claim this gift and you'll find sizing for Erika, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies inside. With both I'm wearing the white pair of Delizio jeans from their marketplace fatpack freebie, a favorite of mine for easy wear with just about any type of top.

I was almost tempted to keep those jeans on underneath this gift, just for a more wintry feeling ;) This is the AXE "GIFT DRESS 2", a buttoned shirt dress that is nearly bursting those buttons and is adorned with lots of fun decorated trees and stars on its texture. We receive Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes of this flirty low-cut gift. I'm just thinking about it and I actually have 3/4 of those bodies so I could wear this in a number of ways.

CherryUp! has provided us with two lovely gifts that go together perfectly and whose colors are a nod to the brand name. Their Mandy Top. Cherry has bare shoulders, long sleeves that are tight from the elbow down, and plunging neckline tied in the middle. It fits Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy bodies. Then we get to add the CherryUp! Mandi Skirt. Cherry Jean, a richly dyed denim skirt with built in panties that the very short rear hem shows off ;) I really like the way the right side is slit but buttoned partway, just a little extra flirtatious flavor. We can mix and match these with other pieces of course, I just happen to adore how they look together.

Next we have another reason why my posting about this on Primfeed in a little while will not be able to be marked G general content...no complaints here though! The Melody Iman// fatpack is a playful pairing of cropped long sleeved top and distressed jeans, both in sizing for Classic, Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. One of the HUDs is for the top and jeans in solids, with 20 colors for the top, 20 for the trim (sleeve stripes), 10 for the pants, 10 for the loops, and 10 button colors. The HUD for top patterns offers 20 each for the top and the sleeves' stripes, all in the sweet butterfly pattern you see on the left above.

For my final look of the night, I slipped into the gorgeous [Pink&Love] Nuria - Dress & Jacket Fluffy - Sweety - Hearts gift. The long dress with daring side slit is dotted with tiny white hearts, and comes in Erika, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn body sizes. Then we can add the fluffy jacket if we wish, which has two simple sizes called one and two. Just try each one on and see which one suits your body and shape better :) If you're going somewhere fancy this weekend, perhaps this outfit is the right choice and you can shimmy out of the jacket once you're arrived. What an entrance we can make!

It was a decent day with a very nice dinner at my parents', and we looked through some more old pictures that my mom found. Some were of my cousins when they were really little, at my 18th birthday party I think, and a few of 5 year old me with one of my first parakeets. That always makes me miss having birds around. I've got a really busy weekend ahead, lots to do in SL (Shop & Hop, Advents galore, hunts, events, etc. etc. etc.) so I need to get some better rest tomorrow. Halloween Swank Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is an invitation to the Halloween themed round of the SWANK Event, where they are holding their annual Pumpkin Hunt. Now I know they call it a hunt, but it's more of an exploration of their large 2 story building, clicking all the pumpkins you can find with the golden Swank logo on the front. They are located similarly to their anniversary gifts I shared last month :) Dozens and dozens of gifts await, just have their free group tag active to be able to click those pumpkins and receive a bounty of treats. I would say that many but not all are Halloween themed, so no worries if you either aren't ready for Halloween yet, are already tired of it (goodness I hope not because I'll have more!) or simply are not a fan of the holiday. Usually my posts for all of October are filled with orange and black, pumpkins, bats, and all sorts of seasonal goodies because the SL community seems to go all in on it :)

My first look is the [Pink&Love] Scarlett - Outfit - FAT PACK, found inside their pretty pumpkin. There are several colors (ciel, dust, lilac, onyx, pinky witch, and violet) each packaged separately with the top, skirt, sleeves, and garters in regular and maze versions each in sizing for Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. I'm wearing the pinky witch on the left, and violet on the right. Oops did I mention that the unrigged hat is provided with each color? The outfit looks so soft and velvety, very playful indeed.

This is the second time this week I have felt like my look was inspired by an album cover :) This time I can't recall what album though, so please comment if you know? This is the ANNA-Halloween gift, a sexy feathered bikini and gold trimmed wings, all with a 5 color HUD which tints it all at once. The bikini top and bottom each fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. We can easily wear this without the wings if preferred, although I am a fan of the full look because the more feathers the better.

I look remarkably cheerful here for someone who is splattered with an ominous red liquid, eh? ;) Our [ZEX] Lilith Top & Skirt . Bloody gift has sizes inside for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Nerido, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The top has three straps, the center of which connects to the intriguing collar, and even the hem of the top has a double dip that reminds me of a bat wing. Of course my avi is too sweet and innocent for that to be blood, so do we think I was making strawberry jam? Walking too close to a paintball court? Maybe I wandered into an art exhibit...

The Sascha's Designs gift is called SAS - Mona Orange Outfit, and I'm digging the fact that its color is a nod to the season without being strictly limited to October :) The jumpsuit and matching jacket are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh body sizes. We can wear them together or enjoy the jumpsuit with bared shoulders if we wish, but those cuffed sleeves are such a cute touch on the jacket. Speaking of nice touches, I am a big fan of the dangling strands from the attached belt on the jumpsuit and the way they are tipped in shiny metal.

My final look of the evening can be yours just for clicking the Black Angel store's pumpkin :) PURPLE WITCH OUTFIT by BA Store includes the dramatic high-low hemmed dress and matching boots, each sized for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is also a tall witchy hat that is included but not shown, as I was having a little trouble adjusting it because I have a large head and lots of hair, much like RL ;) The dress is a stunner with bare shoulders, spooky gravestones and trees on the front, and an entire flock of bats on the long back of the skirt. Fun fact, a group of bats can also be called a colony or cauldron among other names. I've always wondered who decides those things as sometimes I see conflicting info when looking up names of animal groups, but cauldron feels just right for this time of year.

I should know better by now than to make plans, because life always comes along and says 'nope'. I had to cancel my outing with my mom due to a non-anxiety related health issue, something that likes to crop up from time to time and prevents me from being in a moving vehicle. So I'll see her Friday for dinner as long as that doesn't somehow fall through, heh, like if my visit with my family doctor that day goes horribly awry. I'm not trying to jinx myself, just a bit frustrated and letting pessimism creep into my attempt to be realistic. It'll be okay, and if not I will deal with it when the time comes. I have several blog posts planned from Swank, Shop & Hop, and hunts, so it is a busy week with lots to see and enjoy. Swank For The Holidays

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm switching gears from Advent to another annual event that I also greatly enjoy each year, the SWANK Holiday Event. The event's group is free to join, and that tag enables you to click dozens and dozens of gifts throughout both floors of the building. The designers are generous as usual, and you'll be pleased to know that there are clothing and accessories for men and women, along with treats to brighten up your home this season :) I am always excited to see designers thinking of the guys too, as I've noticed the vast majority of gifts and sales offers tend to be female fashions and I feel bad for those with male avatars. The event is open until the end of the month, so we do have time to grab those demos and make some shopping decisions while enjoying our new gifts.

My first look of the evening is the lovely #SHOOSH - Tilly Jumpsuit [37] gift, yours for free with that Swank group tag. The tight strapless top with sweetheart neckline flows into the looser fit pants with flared legs to balance things beautifully, and I'm loving the rainbow stripes :) We receive sizes for Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and I am confident that it will look terrific on all of them!

Next I have some fun gifts from Hawkers House, two packages that contain a total of 3 well-coordinated pieces that I am definitely wearing all together. The fabric is intriguing as it is probably latex but almost appears foil-like, with black flowers on a vibrant red background. I had a busy day with a quick outing to my parents', then tonight I watched a hockey game that my team lost in overtime. Tomorrow's big topic will probably be Thursday's dental visit, a big source of anxiety even when the agoraphobia was mostly at bay. Happy Anniversary WIP

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are wishing the WIP Event a happy 2nd anniversary. Many of their participating designers are helping them celebrate with free gifts for their VIP group, which is also free to join. That of course is in addition to their usual array of exclusive sales and special offerings that are a staple of every round. Anniversaries are always a great time to visit events and see how their designers are pulling out all the stops to make it a special round, and this one is open until the 22nd of the month so we have time to pick up demos and make our final purchases.

My first look tonight is the TO.KISKI - Juli Mini Dress - Pink gift, a beautiful swirled and sequined dress that comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. This is a terrific choice for heading to a club, or just looking amazing on your next date night.

Next we have a generous fatpack of a gift from [Pink&Love] called Arty dress & panties. I am wearing Violet on the left and Ciel on the right, with the other shades being Cow, Honey, Lilac, Pinky, Red, and White. Unbox each individually and you will find the dress and panties each included in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing, so you could mix and match if you wish. All seem to have those playful heart patches covering the breasts, and a scattering of hearts towards the hem for added romance. You might think of a little black dress as being basic or simple, but I promise our next gift is far from it! This is the Aisuru Dress - Black from Fallen Angel, a daring diagonal hemmed sleeveless dress with a slash of sheer fabric that reveals a touch of underboob in the front and bum cleavage in the back. The dove white color is bound to be flattering for those summer tans, don't you think?

For my final look of the evening, I slipped into both group gifts from [ZEX] that you can wear together or individually if you prefer. This dress is their Becky Strapless Long Dress - PurpleHolo Pearl, a magnificent gown whose texture almost looks 3D with the multicolored sequins. It fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. Then I added the [ZEX] Belle Mesh Jewelry Set / HUD textures gift, a generous set that includes left and right arm bracelets, left and right bracelets for the wrists, a choker, and an anklet for the left ankle. They are all fitted and there is a HUD with 10 metallic textures, so you can change the look to match whatever you decided to pair it with. I love the ability to choose just one or two pieces if I wish, or show it all off at once for a very accessorized appearance.

For most of the day I thought it was Thursday, so I was confused and a bit bummed out to realize that it was only Wednesday. I have no idea what happened, LOL, just a weird brain fart that happens from time to time. I'm also trying to figure out why the local woodpeckers like to peck on the aluminum siding on this house, especially when there are dozens of trees that would be more productive for them. It can be startling when they get to tapping on an area right near the closest window, almost like a human is knocking on the window. Designer Showcase Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am helping the Designer Showcase event celebrate their 11th anniversary, a very impressive achievement in the rapidly changing world of SL. How do events usually observe anniversaries or birthdays? With gifts, lots of generous treats to thank people for visiting all these rounds :) There are several gifts available for the free Designer Showcase group, and it is a pleasure as always to tempt you by showing you a sampling of what awaits you there. This round is open until the 25th of January, so we have time to stop by and grab some demos while looking for those gifts and return to do some shopping. I think I have my post-weekend purchases narrowed down to 2 selections, but could wind up splurging a bit more.

My first photo is a bit larger than fits comfortably, so please click for a better view of the WILD Fashion Adriana Gown gift. This dazzling magenta gown starts with the slender mesh strapless dress in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, then we can add the flexi skirt if we wish. As you can see it adds fullness and movement, and if you were a part of SL in pre-mesh days it just might bring some sentimental memories ;) I like the idea of combining mesh with flexi for that old and new blending. 

The gift from [Pink&Love] is a very flirty number called Neptun - Dress & Patches - Cherry. The mini dress has spaghetti straps adorned in gold, and a sheer panel down the front that is quite revealing. To provide a touch of modesty, there are nipple patches and bikini patches each in the same sizes as the dress: Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. Depending on where you go, you can leave off a patch or two, or remove them while romancing that special someone at home. With the patches being heart shaped, and the racy red color, this can be a very useful gift next month for Valentine's Day too!

Next we see the Leonor Outfit -5- gift from ::ALTER::, which is a single mesh piece with the appearance of a cropped jacket, sheer blouse partly unbuttoned, and shorts with the front pockets poking out. Lots of great details! The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. That lopsided button job on the blouse gives off vibes of being done up in a hurry, and the way it almost covers the shorts from behind made me smile too.

{Le'La} had two gifts at different displays, one of which is this eye-catching Cally Romper. She is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizes, with a 10 texture HUD so we can change the look with a few quick clicks. There are plenty of animal prints and a wide range of colors, and I love the belt for added flair.

For my final look of the evening, I was eager to share a closer view of the CAZIMI: DS 2022 Gift Nails that I have been wearing throughout tonight. The generous gift includes Maitreya and Omega appliers for nails that are native to mesh bodies, as well as a set of add-on ballerina short mesh nails in Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink sizes. The applier nails have 5 colors with the double chevron design on each one, two shades of purple with white, grey, and black versions too. The mesh nails, shown above, have a HUD with the same 5 color options that can be applied on each mesh nail individually or all 10 at once, as well as gloss levels to select from of matte, satin, or high gloss. I am very grateful for this thoughtful gift, just as I am for all of the treats we can find at Designer Showcase.

Are you excited for the weekend? Mine is dusted with some snow, but I went to dinner at my parents' this evening and got there safely (it is a very short trip) so tomorrow I will be at the farmers market bright and early :) The scarf and gloves set I ordered arrived today, just in time for me to make good use of them in the morning. I will be taking tomorrow evening off from blogging as usual, then returning Sunday evening with a brand new post whose content is still to be determined.
