ACCESS HW Winterland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm inviting you to the HW Winterland event from ACCESS, where the ACCESS group (free to join) will let you claim lots of generous gifts from stockings hanging at most of the displays. If you're amazed that I'm still finding more and more events with holiday gifts to share, LOL, I would say that A) so am I, yet B) that speaks highly of the generosity of SL's designers. I'd even add a C), buckle up because I'm still finding new ones somehow!

My first look is the Dernier: "Nathalia" Dress - FATPACK. This sleek and generous gift has a cinched waist that means we need to add the provided alpha layer, and there are 15 colors and 4 gloss levels to choose from on the HUD. Our mini halter dress with the crossed straps will fit Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies.

Honestly, my jaw dropped when I tried on our LEROY - Blair Dress v2 - Red Dahlia gift! Look at that shine, and those sweet pinstripes that accentuate our curves :) There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. I feel like the vibrant red hue is terrific for Christmas, but will also come in handy once February rolls around and brings us Valentine's Day. No laughing, time is flying so fast lately that it really will be here before we know it ;)

This stunning look is our Asteria"Claven" HW Winterland GIFT. Its flirty top and pencil skirt are each designed for Classic, Curvy, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Senra Jamie mesh bodies. We also receive a metals HUD with 4 choices. The openings in the top do mean that pasties would be handy for wearing this certain places, to keep things strictly G-rated :)

Our [Brior] Akari Knit Sweater - HW WINTERLAND gift gives me such a cozy and warm feeling, which I particularly needed this weekend :) The cropped red sweater has pale gold seasonal designs like baubles, candy canes, and wrapped presents, and goes surprisingly well with the skirt from the prior gift I shared above. Of course, we all have tons of other options in our inventories to pair it with, so have fun deciding! There are sizes for Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Peach, and Reborn mesh bodies included in our lovely gift.

My final look of the evening is our cleverly crafted cherry // Yuni Dress & Belt #8 gift. The design of the bodice is simply amazing, and our lace-edged sleeves are attached by the most slender of straps for a playful feeling. The dress and belt are separate pieces, in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'm still trying to decide what to call this pretty color...pale red, deep coral? I love it and really need a lip gloss in RL of this shade :)

Oh my goodness, let me start by apologizing for the delay on this post, which would normally have been Friday night and I usually take Saturday evening off. However, a nasty storm system whipped through here on Friday and knocked out the power, and the generator decided to kick the bucket. Did I mention how freaking cold it is too? So I went to dinner at my parents' a few hours after the power outage started, and wound up spending the night. Yes I had to pop back home to pack some things in the dark and cold, lol, but it was worth it to be warm and safe. My parents are very kind, and I am incredibly grateful to them for taking me in again as they did over the summer when the AC conked out. The power company didn't expect to have things restored until 11PM tonight, like a couple of hours ago, but fortunately they got things handled before noon :) So after letting the house warm up (47 degrees in this room was too bleeping cold!) slowly, I got some more rest and am now able to post these photos I took in the wee hours of Friday morning. I'm also struggling to not be angry with the housemate in whose name everything is related to the generator and who dropped the ball several times on getting it repaired, but that negativity would just harm my own mental health so I must let it go. Elsa was right ;) I have so much more that I wanted to share around Christmas and simply had to switch my 'night off' instead of taking an extra, especially when every time I think I am aware of all the potential events, SL says "hold my beer - with built in Bento pose". *deep breaths* I hope you are all having a magnificent weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Happy FLF-o-Ween

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're visiting the FLF-o-Ween event, which is brought to us by Fifty Linden Fridays. That means that the event is full of $50L bargains of course, as well as group gifts at every display inside jack o'lanterns in various colors. The FLF group has a tiny $1L fee to join, truly a small price to pay for all of the generous gifts :) If you love earrings, there were several pairs among the gifts but my hair would have hidden them so I'm not wearing any tonight but will be whenever I do change my hairstyle again. The event is open until the 2nd of November, so we have all month to grab demos and take advantage of these amazing savings.

For my first look of the night, I am enjoying our sexy :Dernier: "Nathalia" Dress - Red gift. The wasp waist style is achieved by using the BOM alpha layer included, and the dress fits Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. There is also a materials HUD with 5 levels of gloss, so you can adjust the look even further. This looks like the kind of dress that would make a great Halloween look if you add wings, a tail, horns, and maybe a pitchfork to hold, to be a tempting little devil.

The Casadel"Bethany" Gift is a playful outfit of 3 pieces with lots of great details. The strapless top, shorts, and skirt are each provided in sizes for eBody, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Senra mesh bodies. We also receive a Skirt & Tassel HUD with 13 colors and off option for the tassels and 4 metals, then the top's HUD has a similar set of choices for the ribbon in the back (13 colors, 4 metals, on/off). The skirt is sort of an overlay for the sides of the shorts, creating a really intriguing look that is unique to anything I have seen in SL :) 

I combined two gifts here for a flirtatious look that still says Halloween. The KLEIN"Dina"-Gift is a sheer beige lace top with bare back, a beauty in sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Senra mesh bodies. Then I added the Gaia - flf gift denim shorts - spookie, high cut shorts in blackish denim with a spiderweb pattern and wisps of frayed fabric on the edges. In eBody and Legacy sizes, these also have a HUD with 6 metals for the button in the front. They're a terrific neutral color that can easily be a part of your favorite flirty outfit this time of year.

Next I made another combo, starting with the Alena Top, Black gift from [The Forge]. Its lacy bra and strappy harness are each provided in eBody, eBody Waifu, Legacy, Perky, and Lara X mesh body sizes, and can be worn together or separately. All those intricate straps just captivated me, and the bra is basically strapless without it so they really create a clever look. The shorts are our -Pixicat- Delta Shorts (Bats) gift, so cute in a plummy purple! There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, as well as a HUD that lets us pick from 30 colors apiece for the trim and sides. That gives us a lot of potential to customize these sporty shorts to match many different tops.

My final look of the evening is our CryptKeeper // Sam Jumpsuit // FLF WHITE gift. The two versions shown (v1 and v2, left and right respectively) are each included in Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. I love the low cut strapless style, and the splatters of pink are a playful touch for sure. 

It was a surprisingly good weekend, and my trip to the farmers market went better than I had expected :) I used a video of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to help me get through the car ride, and while I'm sure I looked goofy to anyone we passed by (tapping my face and head, talking to myself out loud) it was effective and I am going to try it again this week. I'd like to get my hair cut as soon as possible, and I'm also planning an outing to an area that's a little further than I have been going. Dernier Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the Dernier store, where there are two different groups with a set of generous gifts for each. The free group is my focus of the evening, with 5 currently available treats that you can claim just by clicking. There are two Pride themed goodies among them, so you can celebrate Pride month all year round :) As a side note, the Deluxe group has 4 gifts at the moment and is $250L to join if you are interested, and that is immediately to the left of the free group's gifts and sign to click to join. My first look is the :Dernier: "Move" Visual - Red gift, and wow is it stunning! The catsuit and additional sparkle layer are separate pieces each in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, and there are materials HUDs included for the catsuit and boots (which are attached to each other) with 5 layers of gloss to select from. The placement of the hands in various spots intrigued me, as I tried to figure out where someone would have to be standing or if I could have left all those prints on myself ;) 

Another catsuit I couldn't resist is the :Dernier: "Anok" Catsuit - Pride. This gift is similar to the one above with built in stiletto boots, but this one has an intriguing bare shouldered style with little specks that remind me of pixels or glitter across the top :) We receive the catsuit and sparkle layer each in Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, along with a materials HUD to choose from 5 gloss settings. About these HUDs, I'm going to say the best thing to do is to click each one and decide which of the five you prefer, as it is a personal preference and there is no wrong answer. 

I do love rainbows and letting my clothing choices reflect my support of the LGBT community, so I'm thrilled with our :Dernier: "Paris" Dress - Pride gift :) It's got versions with or without sparkles (with is on the left above, without right) that each fit Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. There is also a materials HUD like the others with 5 gloss settings, and another HUD that you can click to turn the fullbright on or off. Versatility FTW!

Our :Dernier: "Joy" Dress - Peak a Boo gift has a fantastic texture of satiny stripes in plenty of different colors for a very eye-catching result. There are Erika, Erika Juicy Boobs, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya body sizes included, as well as a materials HUD so you can pick from those 5 levels of gloss to make this dress your very own. Personally it depends where I'm wearing it, and what the lighting is there, what kind of shine will make me happiest. 

For my final look tonight, I'm feeling sexy in our :Dernier: "Hellena" Sequin Bodysuit gift. The strapless sweetheart neckline is perfect, and the high cut legs lead to a narrow thong in the rear. We receive sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with the materials HUD similar to the other gifts offering 5 gloss levels. It is particularly fun to adjust the shine on those sequins, I must admit :) I also kinda want to slip on a sheer floaty skirt over it and just twirl around, lol, as I do enjoy looking like a lunatic while in my skybox alone...it would be a secret if I hadn't just shared that I guess ;)

It was a busy day, but my visit to my family doctor went well, and she confirmed that I do not have strep throat (not that I expected that I do) and just have something viral going around. Nothing specific, but also nothing to be concerned about since my lungs sounded clear and nothing looks infected. I will try raising the dose of my newest medication soon, waiting until I feel better though, and I will send her a message when I've tried it for about a week to update her. Party On With TSS

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features some more wonderful gifts from the TSS Party Extravaganza. That is the celebration of the 11th anniversary of The Saturday Sale, and most of the gifts are free with no group tag needed. Some need the TSS group tag which is free to join, so I had the tag active before I even got there to make things easier :) The gift boxes are either black or pink stripes, easy to see and contain all sorts of treats like fashions, tattoos, makeup, decor, and more for both men and women. I think I saw at least a dozen pairs of earrings among the mix ;) We have until the 21st of October to visit, so please don't worry if you cannot get in right away or it's a bit too crowded for your comfort at first. 

My first look of the evening combines two gifts, so we'll start from the top. That would be the Peechy. Callie Top gift, a sweet cropped tank in Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Rebound, and Mounds mesh body sizing. I really like the dark zigzag pattern in earthly colors that are nice for autumn :) It goes well with the zOOm - Rock Me! Pants (as many of your favorite tops will!) which have a fun design on the left thigh that suits the name perfectly. This gift includes sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. That richly dyed denim is an ideal neutral, and the waistband is just low enough to show off a navel piercing or tattoo without being too low for cooler weather.

Another gift that made me smile is our [Witch In A Box] Magic Stars Dress GIFT. This full length tank dress has a low slung belt attached, and has lots of burnished gold stars decorating the fabric pattern. We receive Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes, and I'm sure it will look fantastic on all of them :) This brand first caught my eye at a Shop & Hop awhile back, and I'm always glad to see them at any event they participate in.

If you've read my blog before you may know how much I enjoy distressed denim, so this is an intriguing twist with shredding a different fabric! The .BF. Bratz Dress Destroyed FATPACK gift from Beauty Factory is sure to catch your eye too, as well as whoever you wear it near :) There are sizes for Domina Smash, Erika, Erika Petite, Kupra, Legacy, Nerido, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies, all with a HUD that offers 14 colors apiece for the dress, edge, and lace which is the bow at the nape of the neck. Our fabric is sheer and reminds me of runs in stockings, which probably shows my age a bit because I remember (with some dread) when stockings or pantyhose were always worn with skirts or dresses. What did we do, my fellow aged-like-wine ladies, when we got a run in one? Dab some clear nail polish to stop it from lengthening, because those hose were expensive and sometimes you had to get through several more hours of work in that pair. I may have used pink a few times when I wasn't within reach of a bottle of clear polish, lol.

Next we take a gander at the sexy :Dernier: "Rafaella" Bodysuit - White gift. It is provided in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and has a wonderful shiny texture. The high cut hips make for a thong in the rear, beneath the zipper which is a playful detail that I definitely appreciate. I do think about RL vs. SL issues sometimes like the need for a way to get in and out of an article of clothing being visible, and there are times it may matter.

My final look of the evening is the gift from *Avantage* called Melanie Black. The top, skirt, and panties are all provided in Lara X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh body sizes. Our sleeves bring the drama with a style that is full up top and gathered from the elbow down, with a name that escapes me at the moment, LOL, and that short tight skirt shows off even more skin with slits on each thigh. Even the peekaboo midriff is ready to grab your attention :)

Somehow this week really decided to put the pedal to the metal on me, as I thought my appointment for a blood draw would be later in the week but it is early tomorrow. I'm simply not going to have time or mental energy to blog tomorrow evening, and I apologize for the last minute notice but I will be taking the evening off. No worries, I'll be back the following evening with something special but as yet to be determined :) Yes, I still have more TSS gifts to share, but variety is also nice so my intention is to mix things up a bit. Je Suis Tres Chic

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is full of wonderful gifts from the Tres Chic event and their 9th anniversary round. We know how to celebrate these in SL, right? Join their free group, get your Je suis Tres Chic group tag, and click any gift you can find :) They are in a wide range of boxes with some being just the word "gift" or even a vendor photo like what's for sale, so you may need to examine each display pretty carefully. Of course, that shouldn't be a problem as you'll also see plenty of tempting offers for sale, from a truly talented group of designers who always impress me :) The round just opened so it might be slightly crowded but you should be able to get in.

My first look of the night is the -LD- Livia Dress/LegBand Fatpack gift from Little Diamond. Their dress has a diagonal hemline that shows off the legband if we wish to add it, and they each fit eBody, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Waifu mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 10 textures each for the dress, band, and zeep which turns out to be the zipper on the band :) Have fun experimenting with the HUD like I did!

I also claimed a beautiful gift from [RUNWAY] called POEMA DRESS .EMERALD. How can I possibly resist a strapless peplum ballgown with full skirt and mermaid shaping? This lovely gift includes sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies.

Two generous gifts can be seen here, so let's start from the top. That would be the rvn - Aya's turtleneck - black treat, a cropped sleeveless turtleneck with open sides that are tied loosely in place with long loopy bows. We receive Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Mesh Body Classic, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. It goes really well with the Vanilla Bae - Tatjana Skirt (PG) gift, don't you think? This cutie comes in Lara X, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a HUD offering 3 colors for the skirt and 7 for the metals. That would be the zigzag clip on the left side, holding it in place above a flirty opening. It feels like a sarong, like we could wear it over a swimsuit for a quick beach jaunt.

Bodysuits can be really irresistible, like this :Dernier: "Andrea" Bodysuit - FATPACK gift :) There are Erika, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes included, as well as a HUD with 15 colors to choose from. 3 of those are exclusive to the fatpack, making this a special bonus to an already lovely gift. The HUD also allows us to adjust the shine.

For my final look this evening, I'm enjoying the flirty and fun Kaithleen's Camilla Tank Dress - Green. The unpacking HUD offers all sorts of sizes - Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, eBody Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy Boobs mesh bodies. Then there's a handy HUD with 20 colors apiece for the lining, center, and lining again which means we can change the hues of the two layers of trim at the edges, and the center lining down the back :) You know I'm gonna have lots of fun playing with this HUD, as I do all too often. It's a wonder I don't crash more often...lol...

So many companies seem to have the motto of "if it isn't broken, we can fix that", meaning they tamper with things that people are already successfully using on a regular basis and making them worse. Why do I mention this now? Well, that's what took me so long tonight to edit (layer and add text to) my photos, because Photoshop updated and borked my fonts. The kerning made it look like there was an entire space between each letter, and they literally lost my chosen fault so it defaulted to Arial. Since they don't call it kerning, I had to dig into all sorts of settings and help pages before accidentally fixing it, lol, and now I need to find another font that I actually like. If my settings don't hold when I use it next, I just might scream again.
