Sense Event Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the final week of the SENSE Event and their 7th anniversary round. Because of several holiday chaos, lol, I didn't find out about it until now (looks like it started on the 18th so a week before Christmas) but we do have until the 8th of this month to enjoy. They are celebrating the traditional SL way, with group gifts available for members of their free group at many of the displays. Most are in cute black bags with the Sense logo that includes an infinity symbol ∞, and the event's group is free to join. I have so many treats to share and I'm really excited and happy for them, and looking forward to many more years of visiting them.

First we get a little wild with the [[2Love]] Rebeca Halter dress [p19] gift, with an animal print that works so well with the crossed halter neck and gathered tied skirt. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies included. I like taking pictures here on the deck of my skybox because there is some lighting inside that is just close enough to bring out the shine in clothing that is designed with materials enabled :)

The [ZEX] Pop Fluffy Sweater & Skirt * Pinky gift makes me happy for a whole host of reasons, like the snuggly appearance of the sweater and the playful pleats on the short skirt. The brand is also a familiar sight to me since I was visiting them everyday for their Advent calendar last month, big fan :) So this sweet set includes the sweater and skirt each in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. The dip in the waist to just show off a hint of navel is a fun touch too, and the rear view shows just a hint of cheek since most skirts in SL are shorter in the back. 

Next I got to see how versatile the OH PAIR! SHONA gift is, as it can be worn with just the dress or we can add the included long sleeves. They each come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu sizing, and the dress has some intricate slender straps doubling up and tied in pretty bows on the bodice. I feel like I'd usually seen this brand offering shoes at events, so I thought their name was a nod to pairs of shoes but it sure seems they do clothing as well :) I like seeing people branching out like that, as it helps keep SL interesting.

I'm sure you can guess that I carefully chose a pose here, since the [SaraFashion] DRESS AURORA gift has a sheer bra cup on the left ;) It also features a lacy translucent right short sleeve, and there is a small lace inset on the right of the skirt so this baby is all about the details. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD offering 15 lovely colors. 

My final look of the night is a terrific manicure set from Moonie, their Winter Round Nails. This gift includes the mesh nails in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands, as well as a HUD with 5 designs for each pair of nails meaning both thumbs, both index fingers, etc. :) Easy to wear, we just hide our body's native nails with the body's HUD and add the matching size from this folder to our outfit. The solid red and solid blue can work for absolutely any season, and the red and blue snowflake prints are fun for this time of year. As for the bow that looks like a present, we can wear it to someone's birthday celebration or even on our own rezday, just as a couple of examples. I am a firm believer that many seasonal gifts don't have to be limited to one particular day or time of year if we think flexibly. 

Whew, it was quite an adventurous day for a homebody like me ;) I went to a Whole Foods that is further than I'd been going, and it was pretty crowded by the time we got there so it was definitely stressful. I picked up a few things and made it through the journey, despite all the anxiety, and just now I watched my hockey team lose. Sigh. They do a west coast trip every year at this time, and sometimes they go really poorly. I love them anyway because I have done so for several decades, lol, but they need to get their poop in a group. Tomorrow I'm planning on a part two of the Sense event gifts before it gets too late to share them, particularly with a weekend in the mix so I'll have a day off and the grid will be jam packed with visitors. WIP Event Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I visited the WIP Event, whose December round is loaded with group gifts galore, and their group is free to join so all these looks will cost you nothing but a group slot and the time it takes to click the pretty gift boxes. Of course there are lots of fantastic sales offers to look over as well, and I had to keep my demos separate from the gifts for future reference ;) We have until the 22nd to enjoy the festivities here, so I hope you're able to pencil in some time on a very busy December calendar. Speaking of which, a lot of these designers are ones I am visiting the mainstores of on a daily basis for their Advent calendars, so the familiarity made me smile.

For my first look of the night, I'm wearing the beautiful ::ALTER:: Paris dress ~ White gift. The crossed front is held in place with metallic straps, for which there is a HUD with 3 metals so you can change their color if you wish. The dress fits Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'd also like to note that I spied an extra item in the folder which is the black version of the dress, all boxed up in the same sizes :) Possibly a mistake, not that I am complaining in the least but I decided to omit it from this photo in case the designer happens to fix that and remove it. Same great style, and I fully expect this to make appearances at holiday parties and club nights.

Peek inside the AnaSTyle gift box and you'll receive their Dania Fur Jacket (Azure) to keep your arms and bust warm and fashionable. There are sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, and as you can see it layers nicely :) The fur has a glow to it because of that bright color, and I just felt so snuggly in it. I'm sure it will look just as pretty over a tank top and jeans if that's more your jam, as you dash around the grid to shopping event like WIP.

There seems to be a color scheme afoot, don't you think? Moonie has multiple displays at the event with gifts at each, so I paired two here and I'm thrilled with the results :) The Moonie - Winter Sweater is provided in Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh body sizes, in fuzzy bright teal that matches the flower on the Moonie - Winter Skirt wonderfully. That gift holds Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes so it aligns with the sizing of the sweater, and has a snowy texture that almost made me think the flower was a snowflake at first glance. Bonus cuteness points for the black bow at the waist too.

My next look will let me visit the beach and just dream about snowflakes ;) The bikini is our JXL - GIFT, one piece with the look of two plus a belt, that fits Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. It's got plenty of playful bows, and the string around the waist is decorated with beachy charms that look like they would tinkle with movement. I'm sure you noticed the added body art too, which is actually our Moonie - Winter Snow BOM Tattoo so a third gift you get to see of theirs here :) The BOM layers are 50%, 75%, and 100% opacity so you can decide just how dark you want your red snowflakes to be. I've gone with the 75% here.

My final look of the evening is our [ZEX] Christina dress. Dove gift, and the feathery skirt definitely gives dove vibes :) It is a fun mini dress with carefully sculpted tight bodice, held in place by golden chains so we don't even need to add a necklace. There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies included. I think the skirt makes me want to dance, or at least spin around a bit to see if the feathers flutter. 

My day took a frustrating turn with plans canceled out from under me, so I'm trying not to be a pouty magpie (spoiler alert, it's not working yet LOL). Tomorrow might be an outing, but I am not getting my hopes up. What I do hope of course is that you're all having a pleasant day/evening, with many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Blue SL Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Blue SL event, where you can find lots of $50L offers as well as specially selected sales items, and many of the participating designers are offering group gifts too. There are also gifts with no group needed, and a few very low cost (one I'm sharing is $1L) goodies that we can liven up our wardrobes or homes with. It's even okay if blue is not a favorite color of yours, since as you'll see I found plenty of non-blue offerings that tickled my fancy.

My first look is the [MONTCLAIR] ~ SUGAR BABY JAMMIES, well two of the 5 sets included for just $1L :) The set on the left above is called Cuddles, and Avocado can be seen to the right, while the others are Donuts, Honey, and Weekend. All consist of bra and shorts to fit Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, Juicy Boobs, and Waifu Boobs mesh bodies. They are all so fun to wear, and amazingly affordable.

Time to get flirty with the DANI Gift for Blue VIP Group Members! Its bra, panties, and lace trimmed stockings are all system/BOM layers, delicately textured with fun bows on the panties. I took the opportunity of showing extra skin to also show you another gift, our Moonie - Saturn Moons BOM tattoo. There are tattoo layers in 50%, 75%, and 100% so you can decide which opacity gives the look you prefer for your body ink. The details here are terrific, from Saturn on the front to the mixture of astronomy and birds and bees on the back :)

I kept the DANI lingerie set on but topped it with another gift, which is the charming @rOrO Cotton Candy Willow Poncho. It is provided in sizes for Erika, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a beautiful ombre of pink to teal on its sheer knit texture. Just think of all the great layering possibilities! Their blue denim star on the front of both the plum and white versions is really the only blue among these gifts, other than the teal blue-green of the prior gift and a few bits of the next/last one of the night, so really not a strict theme :) Each of these shirts is included in eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. The white with blue star totally reminds me of a famous football team, one very much disliked by most football fans in my area, and reminds me of a funny little story. One holiday several years ago, my grandma (the one who just passed away) randomly mentioned being a fan of *that* team, and the way my cousins reacted still cracks me up to this day! I mean literally several people gasped, and one of the cousins moaned "grandma, nooooo", and it really felt like they reacted as though she'd casually mentioned being a former member of the Manson family or something. I'm not a fan of the sport at all, so it didn't bother me :) Her husband had been a fan of the other baseball team in this state, so big rivalry there too, but everyone knew that because he wore their hats and such. 

For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying the terrific $50L BlueSL offer from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. called 80s CARTOONS Tee. I feel so seen! LOL! I was 9 in 1980 so I was a kid or at least kid at heart throughout much of the 80s, and cartoons were an interest shared by both of my grandfathers (yep they were in their 80s and still watching them) so I could park myself on the couch with either of them and giggle along. My favorite of the time was probably The Smurfs, but I loved the more classic Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, and reruns of Scooby Doo. Anyone remember Shirt Tales? I had a nightshirt, and have only vague memories. It was a quiet day, and we have reached an icky stage of dealing with my grandmother's passing...the clearing out of the house and deciding what to do with various belongings. Much of it will be donated, but my mom sent me a few pictures to see if I want anything shown. It feels weird and wrong, yet there is a mug I saw that I'd given her many years ago as a souvenir that I might ask for even thought it says Grandma. Since I'm not a mom I will never be a grandma either, but I think it would bother me to know that it was given away or thrown out. I don't even really have room here for much, so we'll see if my cousin and his wife will want the china set (not as fancy as it sounds but old) for their new home.
