Helping Haven Gateway

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to tell you about a fantastic place I've just learned about, the Helping Haven Gateway. It is such a valuable resource for new residents or perhaps those who've been away from SL for a while and are returning to a vastly different world, as they have a tutorial area as well as a rez area, sailing, parties with DJs, and a freebie center. Now as you can guess, I'm focusing on sharing some of the many gifts from the freebie area from the Ladies Fashion building. It has multiple floors with treats to appeal to a wide range of tastes, some in standard mesh sizes for classic avatars but also plenty with sizing for mesh bodies. I am wearing my Maitreya body (Lara 5.3, not X) and I found plenty to fit just on the first floor I explored and on the left side. Yes I will be back very soon, LOL, as there is so much more I want to show you from here! The men have their own building further down the path with clothing and accessories, and the landing zone has teleporter pads or you can just follow the path and signs to the freebies. It was a long scenic walk that I really enjoyed, even passing through a stained glass archway that leads to a beach barbecue area :) Did I mention that the gifts do not require any particular group tag? Just click and buy each for $0L, easy peasy!

First I randomly picked the lovely S/D Mesh Spaghetti Minidress in Checkerboard gift by Sweet Distractions. There is something so timeless about slip dresses, and the dainty pattern on this one definitely caught my eye. We receive this in a Maitreya mesh body size, with a HUD offering 13 different colors of that pretty texture. I can easily imagine dressing this up or down with various shoes and jewelry, depending on where I'm planning on wearing it.

Lately it probably looks like I purposely seek out denim, LOL, but it's just been a very happy coincidence that I've run across so much of it lately :) This is the ::BG:: Denim Dress gift from Boutique Gglam, who are currently a marketplace-only store (I'd blogged them before when they were inworld so I was familiar) with a very generous designer. The dress comes in sizing for Alice, Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Star, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. There's also a HUD in the gift with 2 texture choices, both seen above. The black on the right does not have the floral applique on the front like the blue does, but they both have that gorgeous white lace inset on the front and a matching one on the back. 

AmAzInG CrEaTiOnS has many thoughtful gifts awaiting all visitors, like this charming Spring dress. There is a fitted standard size as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and we also receive 4 different HUDs. The first is for the textures, 2 for the top and belt with 3 for the skirt. Then the others are tinting HUDs, for each section I just mentioned. On the right I tinted the belt a tan shade from solid white, and then set the skirt to solid white and tinted it a softer yellow like some of the flower petals in the top's print. It is a fun opportunity to be creative :)

Next I slipped into the MissTic Amelina dress+jewelry gift, which is not their only generous treat for us :) The cold shoulder dress is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with a HUD that has 16 wonderful textures on two different pages. The jewelry mentioned in the name is the silver earrings, necklace, and bracelet I'm enjoying here, all adjustable and a perfect way to accessorize no matter which texture catches your eye. 

My final look of the evening is the cozy :.C!L.: Rainbow Kasha Turtleneck & Legwarmers Set. This gift tickled my 80s-loving heart, especially the bold colors and of course the legwarmers :) Yes I had a few pairs back in the day, which came in handy standing at a bus stop in the snow while wearing a school uniform dress. This turtleneck dress and the legwarmers each fit eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies, with additional 5 standard turtleneck sizes as well as an Ocacin version of it. I love the way the sleeves hook around the base of the thumb, keeping us snug and warm if we explore somewhere chilly in SL. 

Whew, I feel like it's Friday already! My sense of timing is all wonky, as my weekend houseguest has just arrived and that usually happens on Friday evenings instead. Rhythm of the Night

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is another handful of prizes from the Womenstuff Hunt, because there are still so many that I have not shared yet even though they are truly worth the effort of finding. Just follow the hints on the hunt's website to find the red t-shirts for $0L or $1L, quite a bargain for high quality gifts especially considering that some are exclusives to this hunt and will only be available this month in those hidden shirts. Another tip I may not have mentioned enough is that the shirts can be resized and a few were surprisingly tiny, so don't be afraid to use your camera controls to really zoom in close when you find something that matches the hint.

My first look this evening is the Carnaval Paisley Set from {Poeme}, a $1L treat waiting for you inside their red t-shirt. The tied top comes in fitmesh standard sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, while the matching wrap skirt is provided in standard sizing plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes. The included alpha layers help ensure that this outfit will work for most classic and mesh avatars. 

We go from a mini skirt to a maxi skirt, with equally pretty results here :) This is the dollarbie prize from MG Designs, their Laura Top & Skirt, which are well coordinated between the solid plummy purple and the purple/gold pattern on white background. Each piece is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. I do appreciate the Boho flavor this outfit has.

Sweet Distractions has one free t-shirt that contains 3 generous gifts, so consider me sweetly distracted! Two can be seen here, starting with the S/D Cropped Halter Tank in Black which is provided in system/BOM layers along with an Omega applier. It looks terrific with the S/D Mesh Folded Mini Skirt in Red Nylon, which comes in a Maitreya size. You can wear either of these with whatever you prefer, I just found it convenient to show them together since they do pair wonderfully.

The third gift inside the Sweet Distractions shirt is this S/D Mesh Bell-sleeve Dress - Teal Vintage Lace, which has been created to fit the Maitreya mesh body. I enjoy the flared sleeves and asymmetrical neckline, and simply must mention how lovely that color is. I am quite fond of lace as it is, so that is just an extra special touch.

My final look of the evening is our free prize from Krystal's, and is the kind of thing I genuinely can say you will need to see in person to appreciate. It is their [KS] Carra in Wet Turquoise, and that fun aquatic texture you see is animated! Imagine the appearance of rippling water, and what a fun choice for a bikini that can be worn in or alongside a beach or pool. The top and bottom are each provided in standard sizes plus versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies.

Summer is definitely here, with high temperatures and some scattered thunderstorms making their way through my area. All in all it was a decent day, not much noteworthy really, and my next few hours will be spent preparing for upcoming posts. Thursday Love in the Air

Hiya everyone! We are one step closer to the weekend, and I am still greatly enjoying the prizes from the Moolto.com Love Is In The Air Hunt that I have been sharing with you for a few days now. It is a free gridwide hunt, you just need the free group tag and the magic glasses you can pick up at the hunt headquarters (with bonus outfits for men and women) or at any participating store. With the tag and glasses, you can click the hidden bow and arrow to be rewarded with a wonderful gift. The prizes have a Valentine flavor but mostly in the form of hearts or the color red, nothing that you can't wear year-round and look amazing.

Speaking of hearts, this sexy dress from Matahari Style is sprinkled with them, as is the included matching necklace. This is the Brisa Mini Dress Hot Candy + Hearts Necklace, and includes sizes for eBODY, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, plus a classic fitmesh Small and a classic fitmesh Large. I am always amused but grateful at the gravity-defying designs we see in SL sometimes, as I wonder how the top stays up :) It is clearly magic.

The very generous prize from LEGENDAIRE is two full sets of lingerie, along with wings and accessories to complete your look. The Angel Lingerie Set starts with the lingerie itself in pink or red, system layers along with an Omega applier in each color. The wings are shiny gold with a built in resize script, and the thick chain necklaces are in red or pink. The heels for Slink High are also in each color, while the bracelet is simply gold and goes with either set. Included but not shown are angel masks in either red or pink. As you can see, there are plenty of fun pieces to combine however you choose.

If you would like a change of pace from all the red, how about this charming dress from 1 Hundred? It is their Weekend Mini in Dark Blue, featuring a small sailor style collar and a crisp plaid pattern. There are 5 standard mesh sizes along with 3 fitmesh sizes simply numbered 1, 2, and 3, so you can experiment with them to find your ideal size. 

Sometimes casual outfits can be extra alluring, such as this lacy lovely from Tiffany Designs. Their ~TD~ Minna Outfit with Appliers in Pink looks like a perfect choice for a slightly warmer day or an indoor activity, with a sheer lace tube top and cropped pink jeans featuring matching lace panels. This gift includes the system layers and appliers for TMP, Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink. The clothing is very detailed which always makes me quite happy.

One last look of the evening, this is our prize from Sweet Distractions, called Sheer Halter Sweetheart Dress in Red. The skirt is a traditional flexi prim skirt, while the top and glitch pants are included in system layers as well as an Omega applier. The back of the top is completely sheer and has thin crossed straps, another beautiful look from the many thoughtful prizes in this hunt.

It has been quite a day, I really needed that chiropractor visit which had been delayed a week because of snow. Such a relief to have everything aligned and where it belongs :) My neck was causing a lot of headaches again, so now things should settle down and I can enjoy my busy weekend. Moolto Madness Continues

Hiya everyone! Tonight is another look at some prizes from the Moolto.com Madness Hunt 2016 which is a free gridwide hunt that runs until November 15th. Go to the hunt headquarters and join their group (free for now to join) and claim your free outfit that includes the magic glasses that you'll need to be wearing (along with the group tag) to click the hidden cupcakes at each location. It is a bit different than most hunts because of all that, but I found some very worthwhile prizes :) Just peek at my last 2 posts if you missed them to see what I mean. There is a wide variety of prizes and several stops included gifts for the guys, so hopefully everyone can appreciate this fun way to spend a little weekend relaxation time.

This eye-catching prize is from Sweet Distractions, called Puff Dress in Black and White. It consists of the prim skirt with resize script, and the top, panties, gloves, and striped stockings in system layers along with Omega appliers for each. Even the matching top hat is included. I added a bit of shine with the jewelry from Semi-Precious Jewelry, whose prize is their Autumn set in Silver. It includes the necklace you see and the matching earrings hidden in my hair, sorry about that :) The necklace has a handy resize script built in. 

This trio of dresses is our prize from *CNZ* and is actually one dress with a HUD for those 3 color options. The stunning Lady Web MiniDress is provided in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions.

Firefly has a gorgeous outfit called Giselle Red hiding in their cupcake, and there is a lot to enjoy about it. The dress comes in many mesh sizes (standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya, and TMP) and the gift also includes the belly jewel, thin gold bangles, earrings, bindi on a system layer, and not shown is gold tattoos in system layers and Maitreya applier. My hair does hide a bit of the golden decoration on the forehead but you can see it a bit better in the inset.

If you are still on the lookout for something fun for Halloween, might I suggest looking for that cupcake at Love Lace? :) Their fun Bloody Doll Outfit has an adorable style but with a distinctive twist, she appears to have had an accident or maybe caused all that blood...that is up to your imagination. The gift consists of a mesh dress with inner and outer layers each in standard sizes (the inner layer is strapless and blood-free) with matching Slink High bloody pumps, plus the bloody hair bow and as a nod to the Doll part of the name, winding keys in silver (as shown) and gold. Such a versatile outfit!

My final look of the evening is at two prizes, both from TASHI, but found at different locations. Stop #3 in the hunt path is the Marvelous Events sim which has multiple prizes from various designers, and TASHI has their Trick or Treat nails on the left (my right hand but the left side of the photo) in 3 colors including the fantastic candy corn style. At their main store you can find their Jason nails, 5 designs including various amounts of blood splatter and a tiny homage to Jason's mask. Each set of nails includes HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink so all your favorite tips should be covered.

I had another issue with crashing that caused more of my inventory to temporarily vanish, so I think I need to take at least a day off from blogging to investigate what on earth I can do to avoid this nonsense from causing my inworld time to be stressful and unproductive. Standing around for a few hours doing nothing but rebuilding inventory is not my favorite way to spend SL time! My internet speed is excellent, about 80MB up and 80MB down, so I know that isn't the issue. I might have to sift through my inventory itself and see what in there could be creating a problem. At the very least, my inventory is going on a diet ;) The less that needs rebuilding the better! Of course I didn't help that by consoling myself with some retail therapy, buying myself another gorgeous updo from Truth Hair's discount section (all of the upstairs of the new store layout!) but I really needed a change somehow.
