Springtime in Kiyomizu

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features some of the wonderful free prizes from the Kiyomizu Spring Hunt 2022, which starts at the Kiyomizu Mall and continues at some of the mainstores of the designers who have branches there. The gifts are hidden with ninja cats, some of which are resized smaller than others, but they all reward you with a free treat just for finding and clicking them. The hunt signs at each store are very cleverly scripted to tell you exactly how many cats are hiding there, also serving to verify that there is (at least) one ready there. Please click a floating ghost above one of the walkways of this outdoor mall to get a list of what kitties you've found so far and where you still need to go, as it makes it easy to ensure that you visit all the mainstores in addition to combing the mall thoroughly enough. We have until the 3rd of April to track down all the cute cats, so have fun with them!

My first look this evening is the Shiorin's Mart prize called =CS= KIYOMIZU HUNT PRIZE 2022SPRING-1. Its shirt with built in tie and pleated mini skirt are each provided in Legacy and Maitreya mesh body sizes. The sleeves match the skirt perfectly with their familiar plaid pattern, and the tie has pretty pink flowers that definitely feel like spring. My nails here are another hunt prize, the KoCha - Nail_Spring Pink C which are a mixed manicure on a Maitreya applier HUD. Just one quick click will polish your nails in various solid shades of pink with a few carefully decorated with white floral nail art. 

Next I changed into the M*Motion C22 KYMZ Spring Dress prize. This strapless mini has tiers of ruffles in shades of grey and mint with a charming pink trim, and is designed to fit the Maitreya mesh body. This type of style makes me think of dancing, maybe from the flappers of the 1920s, and if it reminds me of a fancy bakery cake that just means I might be hungry ;) Gorgeous no matter what it calls to mind though.

The ninja kitty at SHOP KERO has a fun Spring Blouse Suit waiting for all who find and click it. The gift includes the blouse and skirt each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, along with a HUD with 10 colors each for the top, collar, skirt, and belt. We can do some mixing and matching with our lovely floral blouse and solid colored pencil skirt to create a look that is all our own.

For my final look of the evening, I paired two prizes in shades of a very traditional spring hue. The dress is our .*.Jury PoP.*. Haruno Tunic Wanpi-Green- prize, with an oh-so-cozy looking fleecy texture, slit pockets, and scalloped midlength sleeves. It says "Spring" on the front in the purple circle above an adorable bunny, thus combining two wonderful seasonal colors. It is included in fitmesh S, M, L sizes as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. As for my nails, they are the Hapi*Rabi Nails Peridot -kth, a beautiful prize of mesh nails that are easy to wear by just hiding your hand's built in nails and adding the appropriate size nails. We receive Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn versions to fit several popular bodies. Just look at the shades of green that lean yellow in the center and teal on the edges, and the stunning gemstone on each nail! *chef's kiss* They look great with this dress but will easily coordinate with much of our spring wardrobes.

Are you ready for the weekend? I am, even if my stomach is still overly sensitive and moody. I enjoyed dinner with my parents tonight, and am most likely going to the farmers market in the morning with a game plan of not eating anything (samples galore!) while there. I only wind up nibbling on samples when someone creates something new, which lately has been Thai dishes since that chef brings lots of variety :) A very frustrating hockey game just ended, but there is another one Sunday that means another chance. More Kiyomizu Treats

 Hiya everyone! Tonight is a part two of the Kiyomizu Winter 2021-2022 Hunt, since there were a few more prizes that I could not resist sharing. They are all free rewards for finding the cleverly hidden ninja kitties in participating stores at the Kiyomizu Mall as well as at some of the mainstores. We can tell which stores to look in by checking for a hunt sign, then clicking a floating ghost above the walkways between stores for a personalized website with URLs to where we still need to go. The scripting keeps track of which and how many you've found, and if a store no longer has their prize out it knows that too so we aren't wasting time looking for something that is not there :) I have been doing these seasonal hunts for as long as I can recall, possibly every single round they have offered, and eagerly await each one as a new season approaches.

The first look tonight is an adorable one, the Rainbow Llama Dress prize from SHOP KERO. This long sleeved dress is trimmed with sheer ruffles and comes in sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink mesh bodies plus a fitmesh M for classic avatars. There is also a HUD included with 10 textures (5 llama prints and 5 starry ones in various colors) with arrows to adjust the size of the texture. Play around with the HUD and have fun with it as I did :)

Next I changed into the beautiful .:*:.Magnolia.:*:.Xmas Fur Dress prize, in a single size that fit my Maitreya body perfectly. Its furry bodice matches the skirt trim perfectly, both accentuated by the bright red of the skirt. I'm sure the intention was a Santa/Mrs. Claus type outfit, but the fur makes me think generally any time in winter will suit this pretty dress.

The stars are certainly out tonight, from my first photo and now this charming Pattern Pullover[Star]- Yellow - prize from .*.Jury PoP.*.  It is provided in 3 fitmesh sizes (XS, S, M) for classic avatars as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. The bright blue tee is a built in layer beneath the puffy yellow and white hooded jacket that has purple stars decorating the white sections. I added the white pair of Delizio jeans from their free fatpack on the marketplace, in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

More stars! This striking manicure is the colon colon hunt prize named [::]Winter Stars Nail, provided as appliers for Altamura, Belleza, Kupra, and Maitreya nails. The vibrant green with different sized star glitter looks like a jelly nail polish with several layers, something I admire in RL among fancy polishes :) The jelly polish is semi sheer so the layers add depth, so you'll notice some of these stars look like they are not on the top layer. So fun!

My final look of the evening is also a manicure, this time from Hapi*Rabi as their thoughtful hunt prize. It is called Nails Wa Two-tone P which probably stands for pink, and they are sized for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands. To wear these, simply hide the nails with your body's HUD and right click - add these beauties. The two shades of pink are divided by a slender golden line which is adorned with a 5 petal flower outline on each nail, very pretty for any time of year. 

It has been a rather frustrating day here, short story of which would be that a family member is being an idiot and I will suffer for their stupidity as much as they will if it backfires. I have tried reasoning with them, but they are being quite stubborn. More Kiyomizu Prizes

 Hiya everyone! Tonight there are more wonderful free prizes from the Kiyomizu Summer 2021 Hunt to see, found hiding inside ninja cats at various locations. I usually start at the Kiyomizu Mall and check all those stores for signs, which tell you if the store is set up and how many cats are waiting. Then I click a floating ghost above one of the walkways at the mall to get a personalized website URL to show what cats you've found and where you still need to visit. Some of the store's mainstores have them instead, so you will be teleporting to several different regions to collect all of these generous kitties. 

First I slipped into the Magiclo prize which is their .: MC :. BlousonDress_Kiyomizu. It is provided in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, all with that summery sleeveless style, layered skirt, and two different fabrics that go quite well together. 

Another fun choice for the season is this Sunflower Dress from the MeltingDots Freebie Store. I strongly suggest giving this landmark to anyone you meet who is new to SL or returning after a long time away, since they can find many gifts year-round in addition to this cute hunt prize right now :) The dress comes in fitmesh standard sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body versions. There is also a HUD with 5 texture choices and arrows to adjust the scale of the texturing. 

I also found a cat at Made in USA, which held their Suit A / kiyomizu prize. It comes in a single mesh size with an alpha layer that works for classic avatars or BOM compatible mesh bodies, so this sleek styled one-piece suit will work for many of us.

Whispers of Spring

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am pleased to show you some more offers to be found at The Wash Cart Sale during their Make Your Soul Bloom round. Savoha Creations has plenty of affordable offers for us, including home decor, accessories like hair and makeup, and clothing for classic or mesh avatars. The two outfits above are both from their $10L special called mix & match pack 1. It contains 4 tops and 4 pairs of pants, all in system/BOM layers. On the left is the blue dream top and blue fun jeans, with the pink halter top and fancy jeans pink to the right. Just like the name says, we can pair these however we wish and create several different looks for one low price. The mainstore of Savoha is on the Wash sim too, so they are right at home literally here at the cart sale.

Over to the Kiyomizu Hunt, I am especially fond of this prize for a few reasons...one being I have pictures of my mom in a dress in this exact style from the 60s but plain white with blue ribbons and I believe blue ruffles down the front :) Another is that it has so many adorable animals on it! As you can see, there are multiple similar designs among the nails, with more sakura or cherry blossoms appearing on the index and middle fingers. I really like the teal background for the pink of the flowers, and there is a satin finish rather than a high gloss which accentuates the artwork. 

I can't tell if this week is going slowly or quickly, since at different points today it has seemed like both. My arm is almost completely better from the injection discomfort, and I don't have a particularly high pain tolerance so this isn't just being brave or anything. I am going to my parents' for dinner tomorrow instead of Friday because my dad has a radiation treatment Friday evening, apparently there have been scheduling issues and I do not mind adjusting our plans especially for something so important. We lost his father almost 30 years ago to the same type of cancer (prostate that spread) so extra caution is wise. He is 8 years younger now than his dad was when he passed away, and much healthier in general with a lifestyle geared towards staying that way. Autumn in Kiyomizu

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more Kiyomizu Autumn Hunt 2020 gifts to share, all of which you can claim for free by finding well-hidden ninja cats in various stores either in the Kiyomizu Mall or in the main stores of the designers who have satellite stores there. When you are strolling the walkways of the mall, you will notice floating ghosts that you can click to visit a personalized website so you know which cats you've already found and which you still need to discover. The landmarks to each are on that site, making it convenient to visit them. The scripting for all of this is so impressive! It keeps things very well organized, and you can tell immediately if a store is not ready or has moved. Please keep in mind that the kitties might be resized or hidden inside other objects, so there is a challenging element to this hunt in addition to the absence of hints. As you can see though, the prizes are well worth the effort. 

My first look is the prize from Jury PoP, called Frilled blouse dress-Red. It is a one-piece with the look of a layered blouse and skirt with suspenders, in rich crimson and charcoal gray. The gift includes Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing.

There are two ninja cats hiding at the Amikko store, and I am showing you both prizes combined in this look. The first is Prize A, a fur dress in 2 versions that are each included in fitmesh and Maitreya sizes. Prize B is a snuggly pair of high leg socks (from mid-thigh down to mid-foot) in a Maitreya size for flat feet. You can wear these together as I have or combine them with any outfits that tickle your fancy, it's all up to you once you find those kitties.

This versatile prize comes from the MeltingDots Freebie Store, whose landmark I believe we should all hold onto and share with any new resident we meet who needs guidance and free clothing :) This is their Long Skirt Dress, in a classic M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. There is also a HUD provided with 9 patterns and 15 solid colors each for the top, sleeves, belt, and skirt. There are also arrows to adjust the size of the texture, so I would suggest giving them a few clicks to see what you think. I also found the kitty at [satus Inc] and was able to claim this flirty Mirel Deep Cleavage Top & Skirt Purple. I am always fascinated by the way SL celebrates Halloween, even if many of our residents do not live in countries that traditionally celebrate it. I guess the popularity of spooky movies and Goth type fashion helps :) These gorgeous nails are the 2020 Autumn Hunt Nail Maitreya from Midoriya, and they are easy to apply to your Maitreya nails (fingers and toes at once) with just a click. The matte black background is decorated with dazzling shimmery rainbow (holographic?) seasonal images like crosses, skulls, and bats. This manicure suits any length or shape nails, and can coordinate with tons of fun outfits.

Welcome to Summer

Hiya everyone! Tonight is a part two of the Party People Fair, and its Paripi Hunt where we look for cute coconuts that distribute free gifts when clicked. The participating designers have signs at their displays with hints and sometimes pictures of the prizes, but if you explore the inner courtyard you can probably find most or all of them without any hints :) Just remember to look up high (trees, lampposts) and low (beneath benches, inside trash cans) and have fun! I am also celebrating the first day of summer, which also happens to be my RL bestie's birthday so I have to think of something sweet and clever to post on her facebook wall.

This first hunt prize is a trio of rompers from **milky-way named *19-04 wrap romper HUNT GIFT. In addition to the green on the left and pink on the right, there is an off-white version, and each are provided in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. These look so very comfy, and cool for the summer and those steamy nights!

Next we see the gift from .*.Jury PoP.*. which is called Re.make Gothic Dress-Green. It comes in sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and a standard version for classic avatars. The style puts me in mind of gothic Lolita and pastel goth fashions, both sweet and edgy.

If you can't resist cats (who can, am I right?) then you will want to find the prizes from ::*Ran*::, yes that is prizeS plural. I located 4 different coconuts of theirs, 3 of which held different colors of the 19-14 one piece dresses. On the left is purple, on the right yellow, and not shown is blue, each of which include sizes for standard, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. So cute with the silhouettes of kitties strolling across piano keyboards at the hem, and paw prints at the neck (my hair has transparency at the ends that make the neck look odd, nothing is wrong with the dress itself) and gathered sleeves tied in pretty bows.

This charming dress is the Light wash jeans dress Maitreya from Kanaloa Surf Beach. It comes in a single mesh size as indicated by the name, and has a biker jacket feel to it with those fun zippers. I might layer this over leggings occasionally for a touch of variety.

My final look of the evening is the zOOm prize called Good Vibes(6), an asymmetrical hemmed mini dress with short sleeves and a wide corset style belt. Find this coconut and you will receive sizes for Belleza Freya, Maitreya, and Slink Hourglass mesh bodies. This is another look that I can envision wearing leggings beneath to change things up, maybe a cream color to pick up the background of the giraffe-like pattern.

It was quite a day, with a chiropractor appointment that took place during thunderstorms and then several flooded roads on the way home. It was like trying to get through a really wet maze, reaching lots of dead ends then trying to decide what way would be less flooded. There were police cars preventing people from going on one of the roads, but others could have used the same warning. I did get to a farmers market and picked up some goodies for my parents and myself, so that was a plus :) The fast moving storms had passed them right before we arrived, whew! Kiyomizu Autumn Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight we will explore more of the Kiyomizu Autumn 2018 Hunt, since there are so many wonderful prizes hiding with the ninja cats. As I mentioned in my last couple of posts, your best bet is to explore the Kiyomizu Mall stores for their kitties (the signs are at each participating store) and then click one of the ghosts floating above the walkways outside of the stores. That will bring you to a personalized website showing all the ninja cats' locations and which you still need to find. It is very helpful and I appreciate it. The hunt lasts until the 8th of October, so you have plenty of time to find all the kitties.

My first look is the Jury PoP prize called Bat Pattern Romper, a delightful find for the upcoming season. It comes in fitmesh classic sizes XS and M, as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions. I really enjoy the contrasting trim and the cute little bats in two colors.

Next we have the prize from [BMS] called KanzenRikai TShirt, a comfy sleeveless top in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, and Maitreya. It says "blender" on the front, and I am not sure what the text beneath it says, but I believe blender is the software program that designers use to create mesh items for SL. The jeans I'm wearing with it are my favorite marketplace gift from Delizio, which includes several colors in system layers and appliers for Omega and Maitreya.

Magnolia has a sweet present for us too, a strapless dress with scalloped hem and pretty polka dot pattern. It is provided in a single mesh size, there is a Slink Physique logo on the enclosed image but it fits my Maitreya body pretty well. Just find the hidden ninja cat to claim your copy.

Speaking of Maitreya, I switched into my Maitreya hands to show you a couple of sets of nails that are designed specifically for them. This is the prize from Midoriya called Aki Nail Maitreya, and is a beautiful set with a different design for each nail. They are very detailed, aren't they?

My final look of the night is another manicure for our Maitreya nails, the prize from KoCha called Nail 5 orange. They are dusted with autumn leaves and the orange has a delicate ombre with darker base and lighter tips. These will complement so many fall fashions, or look striking against a simple black outfit.

It has been a pretty rough day here, both personally and in my small town, so I am afraid I am not at my best and probably sound less cheery than normal. I do apologize if that's the case. Two elderly people were killed at a retirement home by their son, and since he is still on the loose they had to close some nearby roads and tell us to lock our doors and stay inside. I don't feel unsafe, just sad for everyone involved. In other news, I had already planned to take an evening off tomorrow from blogging due to an appointment that will leave me a bit groggy and uncomfortable. I will be back soon though, no worries. True Colors

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Kiyomizu Spring 2018 Hunt again, where we explore the Kiyomizu Mall and some of the mainstores to find hidden ninja cats offering great prizes. With each new season I find myself looking forward to the new round of this hunt, and I enjoy the opportunity to visit old favorites and new participants alike. With over 70 stores taking part, there is a wonderful variety for all. Just remember to click a floating ghost in the walkways of the mall to get your personalized website that shows which cats you've found and where you still need to search. As for my title, well the song came on the 80s station when I was struggling to come up with a title and I have always been fond of the song and its message.

Tonight's first look is two prizes from the same designer, but found in different locations. Karin has a branch in the Kiyomizu Mall that hides the ninja kitty with their Skirt with Suspender dress inside, in sizes for standard, Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. Their mainstore is the place to visit to find the Shoes and Socks gift I am wearing here, which include a HUD with 2 texture selections. The other is a red and black design, so they can be worn with plenty of your favorite outfits for a fun and casual flavor.

POZA MART also has a beautiful gift waiting for us, their Maxi China Dress in Red. It comes in a Slink size that conveniently worked well with my Maitreya body, with a lovely floral pattern trimmed in deep gold. The bright color is sure to bring happiness to any day.

Next we have the gift from MIYABI J-Style, their OneP Retro Butterfly dress. It is provided in standard fitmesh sizes as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, with the wide belt attached for easy wearing. The flowers and butterflies of the pattern have a classic feel to them, in bright springtime coloring.

I always appreciate seeing different interpretations of a popular mesh style, and this dress by Jury PoP is a prime example. This is their Lace up Dress Twin-Light Blue, the same shape as the first gift I shared tonight, with layers of ruffles and an eye-catching blue that reminds me of a robin's egg. Midweek Hunt Treats

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing off some more prizes from the Kiyomizu Winter Hunt, the tricky hidden ninja cats that you have until the 8th of January to locate at the Kiyomizu Mall and some of the mainstores. Just click a floating ghost to get to the webpage that will show you where you still need to find them. They are really talented at hiding, some are tiny and some are flat to slip behind posters or even into walls. Fortunately when you find them and pet them gently, they reward you with terrific hunt prizes so it is worth the challenge of discovering their hiding places.

POZA MART has a sweet gift for us, their Maxi Long Sleeve Dress in a deep navy blue with white trim and plaid tie. There are 2 sizes included: an eBody/Classic version and a TMP version, and I am wearing the first one which fit very well on my Maitreya body. The dress reminded me of a school uniform and a business style, almost at the same time, so there are many occasions this would be suited for.

For this look, I am enjoying two very different tops from two locations at the Kiyomizu Mall itself. On the left you can see the [satus Inc] Rye Tied Straight Top Sushi, a version of which was shown in a recent post from their mainstore and in black with a different design on it. The shirt is included in standard fitmesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP. On the right is a layered look from Jury PoP called Pattern Pullover [Star] Green, and that is all one piece so the shirt beneath the jacket is attached for convenience. Find this kitty and you can claim it in fitmesh sizes XS, S, and M, as well as Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique fits. With both I am wearing my favorite marketplace gift from Delizio, their jeans in multiple colors (black shown here) that are provided in system layers, Omega, and Maitreya appliers.

There is something so charming about this warm, cozy coatdress from M&A. It's called Winter Coat and includes XS, S, and M standard mesh sizes along with Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Slink Physique, and TMP versions. The lace trim catches my attention, and so does that pretty bow on the collar.

Our prize from Karin has a beautiful secret, a layer of vibrant print fabric beneath the skirt. At first glance it looks like a simple strapless black dress with a flared skirt, but as we move while wearing it the stunning pattern shows. This gift includes standard mesh sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions.

My final look of the evening is from the prize at MeltingDots Freebie Store, a delightful layered Lace Dress with plenty of sizes for just about every body: standard fitmesh, Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine each for the inner and outer layers. There is also a HUD that offers 10 colors to tint the set, two of which you can see here. I urge you to pass along the landmark for this store to any newer residents, as there are some wonderful gifts there for classic avatars, and upstairs has information (some in Japanese, some English) on places to visit within Second Life that some newcomers might not be familiar with yet, like I was so tickled to see a sign for Inspire Space Park upstairs! That was one of the first places Xan and I visited together in SL and it makes me so happy to know that it is still around. Fond memories ♥.

We are bracing here for some intense winter weather, snow as well as near zero temperatures, and I know that much of North America is facing the same, so I am hoping that all my readers stay safe and warm.
