Shop and Hop Hollyhock

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to visit the Hollyhock region of the SL22B Shop & Hop event, one of the 20 moderate regions (along with 4 adult ones) we can visit and find discounted items and gifts for all. I find it easiest to keep them sorted by region so I am sending you to one at a time, but you'll want to try to explore them all by the 20th of the month :) It's also a great idea to have the FabFree gift spreadsheet handy, to ensure you aren't missing any vital treats that you want to make sure you grab. 

My first look of the evening is our Belle Epoque - Gisa - GIFT, a top and skirt pairing with lots of possibility. Each piece is provided in sizing for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, along with a HUD that offers 6 fun floral patterns that tint the entire outfit at once. These warm months are usually full of pretty flowers in RL, and I enjoy seeing them in fashion as well.

I also adore our S&P Blue dress FATPACK gift from Salt & Pepper, which uses PBR textures so you will need to be using a compatible viewer to enjoy it fully. The strapless dress with deep V neckline will fit Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. Also included is a HUD with 12 denim hues and 4 colors for the lace trim, so we can mix things up as much as we desire :) There is really something so fun about combining the classics of denim and lace, two strong favorites of mine.

Another stunning strapless beauty among our gifts is the :::FURTACOR:::SL22B_DRESS::: FATPACK. Yep, that's right, it's another generous fatpack! The gift includes sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu bodies, plus a HUD with 20 textures. This is the gift from T'ai Surfing called Flower Bikini, and it is one of 3 in this particular booth :) The top and panty are each included in Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes. The HUD lets us choose from 9 beautiful flowers up top, and 9 textures for the bikini bottom. This one is very flirty and revealing, yet playful and nature-loving too.

My final look of the night is a perfect choice for any formal affair, or an elegant nightclub visit. The .:Flower Dreams:.Audrey Gown - SL22B Gift consists of the long mesh dress and separate sleeves to fit Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu bodies, along with flexi skirt pieces for left and right. The enclosed HUD offers 12 ombre color washes, that even tint the flexi skirt additions so you are fully coordinated from head to toe :) There is definitely something so lovely about the pastel colors, and I appreciate the ability to wear with or without the flexi and with or without the sleeves.

It was a frustrating day, thanks to tummy troubles and an annoying housemate. All is relatively fine now, although my stomach is still uneasy, but I didn't go out and I am not certain about being able to go tomorrow because of the weather also. Progress is not linear, and I am trying not to let this get me down for long. SL21B Shop And Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm really excited to share some SL21B Shop & Hop gifts, as there are 24 regions loaded with 480 total stores who are nearly all offering free gifts with no group tag needed. SL21B is SL's 21st Birthday, a grand celebration with a theme of elements (like fire and water, not as in oxygen and magnesium) that is optional but is resulting in some terrific creations. It opened on the 21st and we have until the 21st of July to explore it all, and with all the celebrations we almost need that much time! The shopping is a big part of it but not the entirety, so I'll refer you to the official destination guide to see the bigger picture. I would also like to share the link to the FabFree post with their amazing spreadsheet, which has been ready since the event opened which shows you just how hard those fine folks have been working on things :) You can use the tabs on the bottom of the spreadsheet to sort by store name or type of gift, so if you want to find a specific store or only look at male gifts (Xan's next quest, lol) these are just a click away. As I always do, I am taking the gifts one region at a time, so tonight's are all found on Poppy.

My first look this evening combines two gifts at once, since why not start big? :) The top is our SF:: Summer Leather Top GIFT SLB21 treat from Scarlet Fey, a sleeveless tank top crafted from two shades of brown leather. We receive Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, and this is a great choice for roleplay as well as simply any time the mood strikes. It paired well with the !APHORISM! - Jana Jeans v2 - Ltd Ed Gift, versatile skinny cut pants in a mustard hue with built in belt. Claim this goodie and you'll find sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that allows us to pick from 2 belt colors and 4 buckle metals, plus 9 gems and a hide/show option. 

I kept those jeans on again here, but swapped tops into the beautiful ***Ambrosia***Bustier [SHOP&HOP GIFT]. I adore the floral print, and the red hue of the blossoms made me think of poppies just like the name of the region :) This treat comes in Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes. It seems this is one of the designers who has changed over to Lara X and eliminated classic Maitreya from their size set, which is why I am wearing my Legacy body for most of this post.

I can't decide if I look like a fairy, pixie, or princess here! This is the * EXiA * Evelina Dress SL21B Gift, and it starts with the beautiful full skirted dress in sizes for Legacy, Lara X, and Petite X bodies. There are panties built in, and separate sleeves that seem to fit all of the body sizes. Now if you'd prefer this without the panties I mentioned, there is also a HUD with show/hide options for them :) So with or without panties, with or without adding the sleeves, there are plenty of ways to wear this feminine and frilly beauty.

Next we see the stunning Utopia Little Star Gift! dress, a single piece with a layered look since it appears as though the front was cut out to reveal a bra or bikini top. It comes in Gen X, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a handy HUD offering 4 colors each for the dress and the lining. We can also right click - touch (from inventory is easiest) to turn the full bright on or off, definitely a helpful feature with PBR altering our lighting ;) Hey, sometimes little stars shine the brightest, right?

My final look this evening is our gift from Salt & Pepper called S&P Fernanda dress FATPACK. At this point I realized I'd misread and had to swap bodies from Legacy to Lara X, lol, as the only body I own from the sizes provided :) Those would be Gen X Classic, Gen X Classic Dainty, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies, and we also receive a wonderful HUD with 16 colors each for the cotton lace and the satin/bow portion. It sure looks like I got very attached to pale pink hues here, huh? The darker dramatic colors are as pretty as the pastels of course, and I try to show as many different colors at once for contrast to demonstrate which sections are which.

Generally my life is boring, so why do my weekends tend to be so chaotic lately? My housemate woke me up as soon as I drifted off to sleep, to tell me that there is a big loud wasp in the house somewhere and I need to...help? Protect him? I don't know. He wound up leaving the house for most of the day, getting home just in time for my therapy appointment which I decided to have indoors instead of out and about in the car in the stifling heat. There was a thunderstorm during my session, so the therapist got to watch me flinch and jump for a reason other than car anxiety ;) Otherwise it went well, a deep dive into my psyche, so not comfortable but effective. I scheduled an appointment for a blood draw on Tuesday, which will be helpful to get my health things on the right path. More Shop and Hop Treasures

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several more Holiday Shop & Hop gifts to share, this time all found on the Chickory region. That is one of 16 regions packed with generous designers who are all offering discounted merchandise this round, as well as a gift for those of us who visit their displays. The regions are all decorated beautifully too, so wandering around during this last week of the event is a visual treat in addition to providing fantastic shopping and gift opportunities. 

My first look is the *CK* xmas set shop and hop from Candy Kitten, a versatile 3 piece outfit. The top, pants, and skirt are each included in eBody, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. The sleeves are part of the top but have a detached appearance, and it says "For the LOVE of the Christmas" on the front with the O being replaced by a gnome. I really like the white front pockets on the pants, and the chain looped from the built in belt. The skirt has a belt built in too, and a panty layer for modesty since this skirt is short. Those cat head shaped buttons down its side are adorable too!

The big day of Christmas has passed, but the season doesn't have to end that exact moment of course. However I decided to show the Santa Gown from Salt & Pepper in a less traditional color scheme for said holiday, simply to prove that it doesn't have to be restricted to a single calendar date :) There are Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy sizes provided on the unpacker HUD (only open the one you need if you wish) and a color HUD with 8 dress hues and 5 for our fur trim. It was defaulted to a red dress with white fur, so definitely festive, but I went with a berry satin and black fur. 

TO.KISKI is offering their lovely Rihanna Mini Dress [Emerald] as a gift for all, and I am so grateful! The flirty halter dress has gold chains for part of the straps that meet up at the nape of the neck, and a terrific shade of green with sparkly texturing. The gift includes Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. 

For a warm seasonal look, be sure to stop by the MIDNA display to claim their Cozy Dress - WHITE *GIFT* for your own. There are Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite sizes included, in a wintry white shade that really shows off the knit texture beautifully. Now I just need to find a pair of boots (surely there are dozens hiding in my inventory) and perhaps some sparkly earrings for a touch of glitz, and I'm ready to brave the SL elements :)

For my final look of the night, I changed into the [LA] XmasSpirit Dress gift from Limited Addiction. The scalloped edges are sharp enough to resemble holly leaves, both on the flared sleeves and the short skirt, and the color combo is most certainly festive :) This gift consists of sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. I feel rather elflike in this, so perhaps I just need a Santa type hat and something with bells to feel extra jolly. 

It was a pretty good day here, warmer outside (but not what I'd call actually warm, just less frigid) and no traumatic dreams so I'm feeling positive :) The next couple of days should be calm, so I can catch up on rest and a few household things that I need to do. Shop and Hop SL19B

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time to head over to the SL19B Shop and Hop, a massive celebration of the 19 wonderful years that Second Life has been in existence. SL19B stands for Second Life 19th Birthday, and I highly recommend checking out the destination guide for details of the festivities. There are 20 regions filled with 400 designers' displays, all of which have a free gift waiting for us among many discounted and exclusive offers for sale. I randomly chose one of those regions to share gifts from tonight, so we are exploring the Hollyhock treats in this post :) I enjoyed every single area I visited, and will continue to share goodies from various regions of the event until it closes its doors in early July.

First we have the charming Entice - Summer Baby 2 - Aqua gift, one of the softest looking lingerie sets I've seen in SL. The bra top and delicately tied bottoms with ruffled legs are each included in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite body sizes, and the color calls to mind an ocean view. So romantic!

Not to be outdone, Salt & Pepper brings the romance too with their gift called S & P Elena FATPACK. The bare shouldered dress has full sleeves with the same open weave lace as our skirt, and there is an attached belt gently cinching the waist. The dress comes as an unpacker HUD with eBody Reborn, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite buttons, each of which will deliver a folder with the corresponding size and the color HUD so you don't need to unpack all the various sizes but can if you wish with the "all" button. The color HUD offers 16 choices each for the main dress and the belt/accent on different tabs, so you can mix and match as I have above. The trim is on the shoulders and the stripe down each side of the skirt.

[P.S.] has a lovely gift for us too, their Three-tiered frills mini dress. It fits Legacy and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a strapless sweetheart neckline and black lace overlay on a pale sunshine yellow fabric. The two lacy selections in a row are a coincidence but one I enjoy since I have always been drawn to the intricate details of a finely wrought lace. 

Next we visit the Gabrielle Hamelin display, where we can claim their charming {GH} Lili Flower Top SLB 19 gift. This versatile bare shouldered blouse has detached ruffle sleeves and a very loose fit to its cropped bodice, and is provided in a fitmesh M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD that lets us choose a transparency level (I reduced it on the right but it is subtle) and click a different tab with 72 colors to tint the floral fabric. It probably won't surprise regular readers here that I am also wearing a pair of the Delizio jeans fatpack we can find for free on the marketplace, as they are frequently seen here to provide bottoms for various tops ;)

My final look this evening is a pair of playful swimsuits from [RNK] called Frilled Bikini Watermelon. The red and yellow versions are both worn as one piece, each in sizing for Legacy and Maitreya bodies. The little seed pattern is adorable, and the green trim representing watermelon rind is a clever detail. I am very curious about yellow watermelon, as I have only encountered it in SL so far and not RL, but it sounds delicious! From what I read it is a little sweeter than red watermelon and has a honey-like flavor, yum :)

Did I just blink and the weekend flew by? LOL! I was going to do some inventory sorting and maintenance, but only got a tiny bit done so that is still an ongoing challenge. Saturday morning was sunny and hot for the farmers market, so going early was a good idea to avoid the midday heat. One of the regular vendors brought his son's dog, a cuddly chocolate lab, and she was in heaven getting so much attention. I got some tasty food, and am ready for what might be a fairly quiet week before a busy weekend. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Jubilant SL18B and Summer Carnival

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading to SL18B again and one of the Shop and Hop regions, this time the Jubilant location. There are a total of 16 regions or sims involved in this extravaganza of a celebration, so you will want to set aside plenty of time (it took me multiple evenings) to really explore the areas. Speaking of exploring, we are also returning to the lovely Summer Carnival at Malus for some exclusive offerings and special sales. I think we all enjoy saving money, and the discounts and gachas there are both enjoyable ways to do so while freshening our summer wardrobes and living spaces. 

This wonderful gift from Salt & Pepper is their S&P Priscilla FATPACK dress. It fits the Maitreya body, and comes with a HUD to choose from 14 solid colors, 8 prints, 6 holographic (like the one on the left above), and 7 metal colors for the neck chain. There is also an option to turn materials on or off, which personally I think is essential to be "on" for the holos to make them pop even more :) 

I also picked up the gift from MONOMANIA called Affection Mono. This fun casual outfit consists of the sweater and pants each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with tiptoe sneakers in Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink mid sizing. It is all various shades of grey except the slender yellowish stripes of the shirt, so very nearly monochromatic and you can accessorize with any color jewelry you are in the mood to wear.

Next we have a gift that you will truly need to see in person to fully appreciate. It is the Celestinas Weddings .:(CW):. Angelina Star Gown - Pink and includes several accessories in addition to the dramatically diagonal hemmed gown. The dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. Then we can add the silvery accessory at the neckline, and/or the golden necklace, matching earrings, bento rigged ring for the right hand, and the charming bouquet with animation hold built in. I have to say, I truly looked like a beauty pageant winner celebrating, with waving and blowing kisses :) You can turn the animation off if you prefer, but please do observe it for a moment just to get a kick out of the clever movements.

Its bare shouldered crop top and jeans-styled pants are each provided in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with a HUD offering 8 colors for each. The top's choices are all heart patterns to perfectly match the solid colors for our pants, but feel free to mix and match as you wish. This outfit is a mere $125L at the event, which is a 50% discount, so be sure and treat yourself because you deserve it.

I will admit, I couldn't choose between that outfit and their other 50% discounted offering, so you get to see both tonight :) This is the [Ari-Pari] Fiorella Outfit and is a sweet $125L as well. Sugarplum Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some more gifts to share from the Halloween Shop & Hop event, all from the Sugarplum sim which is one of 8 fully packed and wonderfully decorated sims. The event's participating stores are a mixture of older and newer, home decor and clothing, accessories and much more. It is open until the beginning of November, so you can take your time and visit each sim whenever you have a little while to spare. I really enjoyed my visits and exploring to see what each designer is offering for sale and as gifts for all.

Let's start this post with some shine! This gift is from Salt & Pepper, called Ava Fatpack. The long formfitting gown is cut all the way down to the belly button, and comes in sizes for Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 16 choices, 8 of which are solid colors and the other 8 are lovely ombres. You can turn materials on or off with the HUD as well, but personally I think it enhances the appearance to have the materials on if your computer cooperates.

Another gift you won't want to miss is from Valentina E., their Laura Dress Emerald. It is designed for the Maitreya mesh body, with a single bare shoulder and very flattering style. The color is so versatile, since it can remind one of spring or be paired with red for Christmas, and for fall I am thinking of pairing it with gold jewelry. 

Speaking of pairing, two stores collaborated to provide matching gifts that I simply adore! The top is our gift from -Narcisse- called Cameron Crossover Mini, and it is created for the Maitreya body. There was a sign at one of the stores' displays showing a picture of the outfit and telling us where to find the other piece, and the stores are directly across from each other on that Sugarplum sim so it is easy to find :) The shorts are from LYBRA, their GHOSTIE PANTS, sized for Alice, Freya, isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. The texture on both is delightful, and I look forward to wearing them together or separately.

My first thought when I tried on the [RNK] Oversize knit Top gift was "snuggly" and my second one was "CUTE!". The tiny pumpkin pattern looks great against the rich cable knit sweater, which has a sheer fuzzy layer atop for added warmth. The top has been created for the Maitreya mesh body. 

For my final look of the evening, I had fun with the gift from AlaFolie called Sabrina. The bolero (sweater) and pants are each provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Ruth, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. As you can guess, there is also a HUD offering 2 texture choices for each piece. You can pick the spooky but friendly black cat (whose back appears on the back of the sweater) or the skeletal hands among flowers for the top, then decide between artistic skulls or smiley spiders for the flowy pants which are tied to add lift and fullness. Plenty of potential here!

It was another one of those days where I kept losing track of what day of the week it is, LOL, like my brain's built in clock and calendar are malfunctioning. I'm pretty sure I thought it was Thursday when I woke up, then by evening I thought it was Tuesday. Shop and Hop Gets Tinseled

Hiya everyone! Tonight our journey through the Winter Shop and Hop event leads us to the Tinseled Sim, one of their 6 beautiful sims packed with 120 designers' displays. Each of these hold discounted selections and most have a gift for all visitors to enjoy, so be sure to look carefully while you are shopping :) All will be available until the 6th of January, so you still have time to visit and save some lindens while picking up gifts for others and yourself.

I even found a festive wallpaper for one of the rooms in my skybox to fully immerse myself in the seasonal spirit today :) This cozy dress is the gift from Salt & Pepper called S&P Vivian Dress. Its sleeves are separate from the dress (so you can wear with or without) and each are provided in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing. There is also a HUD as you can guess, offering 16 colors each for the dress, sleeves, and string of the belt where it ties in front. I went a little Christmas themed on the right above, just for giggles, but you can have a lot of fun with this gift for sure.

Kaithleen's gift for us is the alluring Joyful Dress - Rose. It has two versions, solid and sheer, each of which come in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 16 color choices for the belt/bow, and 4 metal options for the delicate chain that serves as our halter strap. If you look really closely, you can notice the sheerness of the dress on the right, just the outline of my body is visible through the fabric, so it isn't strongly see-through but just has a hint of transparency.

This charming look is the Valentina E. gift for Shop and Hop, their Gia Dress Robin. It comes in a single Maitreya mesh body size, in vivid teal with very pretty crisscrossed straps in the back. I think this would be an ideal choice for an evening at a club, don't you?

Both of these tops made me think "ooh cute!" in different ways, and I loved them both so much I decided I must share both :) On the left I am enjoying the gift from ALTAIR* which is their dino party shirt (Maitreya), and our little buddy is wearing a Santa hat while dancing among presents, rainbows, candy canes, wrapped presents and more. The playful top on the right is the Tachinni - Bianca Top - 2019 S&H Gift. With its black and red plaid, it has a touch of country charm that I really appreciate. This gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya. My jeans in this photo are my favorite marketplace freebie from Delizio, seen here in white but the gift is a fatpack of several colors in system layers, Omega appliers, and Maitreya appliers.

I decided to go formal for the final look of the evening, thanks to our gift from Baiastice. It is a duo of gowns, their Mirla Glitter Dress - Red and Gold, each of which are provided in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. I do enjoy the long style having a flared skirt that allows for movement, and how it falls in gentle pleats. 

My day mostly involved preparation for the weekend and then the upcoming holidays, so even without leaving the house it got a bit zany ;) Tomorrow is my usual Saturday farmers market, and then tomorrow evening I will not be blogging because instead I will be doing a special Sunday morning Advent calendar post one more time before they wind down for the year. My post will just be a few hours later than usual, and will give you the remainder of Sunday to grab those treats. I always enjoy showing those to you, although I wish my schedule made it a bit easier to do it more often this month.
