Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided that we need to see more group gifts, this time for the MGSN (Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News) group which is free to join. It brings together many designers across the grid whose creations are for the Maitreya mesh body (not always exclusively) and lets them reach us, the Maitreya wearers who join the group, with information about sales and new releases. With our group tag, we can claim gifts at a large number of these designers' stores, so it is a win-win situation :) I love visiting the stores and seeing their individual styles, whether they lean towards casual or formal, classic or modern, sexy or elegant...you get the idea. So let's take a look at some of those group gifts you can claim, with the links in the ending credits as always to help you visit all these great stores too.
First I visited Precious Designs, where you can currently find 6 gifts for the MGSN group, an impressive number to be sure. The two newest ones can be seen here, my dress and shoes called New Rules Dress and New Rules Heels. The dress comes in sizes for standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, with a HUD that lets you choose from 5 different colors. The shoes are for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High feet with a matching HUD that also has 5 shades, so you can match them as I did or mix them up for some variety. Rowena's Designs is offering this lovely {RS} Svana Gown for MGSN members, on the same wall as the gifts above but to the left of the midnight mania boards. Next we visit The Best Of Me, where they have a cute strapless mini called Miranda Mini Dress Turquoise awaiting your click with the MGSN group tag active. I love the golden accents, they look really pretty against the shades of blue and can be brought out even more if you have some gold jewelry to wear with this.
This next gift made me think of old time glam, although there is a modern twist too that I quite appreciate. This is Doris2 by GIULIADESIGN, and it starts with the top and skirt each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. There is a HUD provided with 6 different patterns for the top, and how flirty is that bow in the back? Also included are some great accessories: the bag I am holding, the sunglasses you see here, and even a wide brimmed floppy hat that is not shown because my hair wasn't playing nicely with it.
For my last look of the evening, we head to Brii Underground and pick up their generous gift called Marta Green Version Outwear Style Complet Outfit. Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several gifts for the FabFree group to share, that is the Fabulously Free in SL inworld group who you also know from the amazing FabFree blog. They are a terrific resource of information, both the blog and the group, but with the free group tag you can also claim these and plenty of other gifts from participating designers. I have shared some of their gifts before, and will be pleased to do so from time to time so you can see what's new and be reminded to go grab your gifties.
I mentioned yesterday that Rowena's Designs has group gifts for various groups besides their own, and it just so happens that this beautiful {RS} Fairy Dress is their FabFree gift for us. The wings are attached, and the outfit comes in plenty of mesh sizes (5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Venus, Maitreya, Physique) along with a HUD that offers 5 colors for the accent (wings), top, belt, and skirt individually. You can mix and match, or go with one gorgeous hue for all. Please click the photo to see the full view. The skirt reminds me of a flower opening up to enjoy the sunshine, I feel like the ones in my old backyard were called morning glories.
Next I visited MOoH! while still wearing my FabFree tag, and picked up their gift called Leah Dress which includes what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. I love the butterfly design on the skirt, and the contrast of the blue strappy top against the snowy white skirt. Because of the vendor type, you will need to pay a linden and be immediately reimbursed to claim this gift.
Another store who always offers generous gifts is Ollies Follies, and their current FabFree gift is called KittyKat Romper Azzie Butter Swirls. There are two size sets offered, so pick them both up if you alternate between mesh and classic bodies or just choose your usual preference from the vendor. Pay $1L, be immediately refunded, and you will receive either the classic set or the FitBods from which I am wearing one here, consisting of standard fitmesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Ocacin, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The buttery yellow is a cheerful color, and the ruffles have some great shades of blue, green, and even a hint of pink to liven things even more. My next stop was Eloise Baker, who are offering a FabFree group gift and a gift for everyone to claim. The gift for FabFree was beneath their group join sign on a rack display (just look for the rainbow striped logo) but it was set for sale for $0L so you could claim it without the tag on. It is called Black Floral Dress [orange] and comes in standard mesh sizes plus a fitted version, which I am wearing here quite nicely. The orange belt really brings out the same colored flowers while matching the buttons down the front as well. Details make all the difference sometimes.
One last look for this evening, this is gift free to all visitors from Eloise Baker called Casual Day Dress [beige floral] and includes standard sizes along with Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. Just look on the floor for a large box set for sale for $0L. This is an elegant look and another that has a great belt to complete the look, so I suspect the designer is as fond of belts as I am :) Wrap style dresses are very feminine and flattering, this being no exception.
Hair note of the night: I have absolutely no self-control when it comes to Truth Hair, as you probably noticed by now, and when I saw the new release at Uber which opened at midnight, I simply could not resist! Her name is Natalie and she comes with a Stylist HUD as all of Truth's new offerings do, which allows you to choose how you want each side of the hair to lie, in front of or behind the shoulder, the ponytail ends have two variations, and even the bangs can be swept left or right or (as in my last photo) completely gone. His color packs are discounted at events, so this Redhead pack was $250L instead of $300L, while there are multitone that are a bit higher as well as a full fatpack. Now I had this hair in my inventory about 2 hours after Uber started, and there is no special secret as to how I did that...I just teleported directly to the neighboring cam shopping sim and hoped for an opening. If you cannot get in and are a VIP group member, they will be happy to help you. I know that weekends + events = consistently full sims. About an hour ago I saw a new release photo on Flickr that means I will be spending even more lindens this weekend on Truth hair probably, LOL! Absolutely no regrets, not even close. We all deserve to treat ourselves to things we enjoy on occasion, and I am careful about what I splurge on.
*deep breath* Busy weekend, here I come! That is not a complaint, I do enjoy most of what I do each weekend, even if it sometimes means I am a little short on sleep by the time Monday arrives. I have blogged before about two talented designers who share a storefront to bring us lots of versatile clothing with color/texture HUDs, Rowena's Designs and Precious Designs, and how they generously offer many gifts for various inworld groups as well as Midnight Mania, Mini Mania, and lucky boards. Tonight I am showing you the current gifts for each of their store groups, both free to join and offering some delightful rewards for joining. The SLurl I am using is located in front of the boards (midnight, mini, and lucky) that are in the middle of the group gift wall, so facing them please look to the left for Rowena's Designs and to the right for Precious Designs. Meanwhile no group tag is needed for those boards, so give them all a nice slap or check for your initial on the lucky boards!
This playful outfit is one of the gifts from Rowena's, {RS} Kristie Top & Skirt, which is actually a single mesh piece rather than the 2 or 3 it appears to be, in 5 standard sizes, 5 fitmesh sizes, Venus, Maitreya, and Slink versions. The included HUD offers 6 colors for the top, bow, and skirt, if you look at the left above I chose blue for the top and it colored the ruffle on the skirt as well as the main part of the blouse. This HUD is fun to experiment with to get the combination that suits you best. I was surprised at just how short the skirt is from behind ;) This can be a bad thing or a very good thing, depending on your perspective and location.
For a more casual look, pick up this group gift called {RS} Larisa Top & Pants for some color changing fun. The top and pants are each provided in standard mesh sizes along with Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya, and a fitted version, and the HUD lets you tint each to your choice of 5 colors for the top, belt, and bottom. As you can see in the side view, the pants are a low rise style in front and back, and the belt is mainly visible in the front. The wide pant legs are a pretty match for the short tied shirt.
From casual to quite elegant, this gift is the {RS} Vivian Gown with a pattern that reminds me of frosted stained glass, and intriguing crisscrossed straps in the back. It comes in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes (5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink) and includes a HUD with 6 texture choices, all variations of the stunning one you see here.
Precious Designs has 4 group gifts at present, two dresses and two pairs of shoes that match up perfectly. The folders they are packed in are labeled with numbers, and this is #1 and #2. The dress is called PD ~ Diamonds Take You Higher Dress, and is provided in standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizes with a HUD for 5 color options. The matching shoes are Diamonds Take You Higher Heels and include Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions with a HUD for 5 color choices as well, slightly darker shades of each of the dress options. This is a simple way to look fantastic in a hurry while on a budget.
One last look of the evening, this is Precious Designs group gifts 3 and 4 (dress and shoes, respectively) with a playful feel to them. Our dress is called PD ~ A Lil Unsteady Dress, sizes for standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP with a HUD that allows you to change the dress or the blouse beneath to your choice of 5 tints. Mix and match as you wish. The matching A Lil Unsteady Heels are tall enough that they would live up to their name for me in RL, with Belleza and Maitreya and Slink sizes with a matching 5 color HUD. The bows on the back and the material across the front seem to be coordinated with the rest of the shoe but not always an exact match, so play around with the HUD and see what combination matches best with your dress choices. The shoes have a nice glossy look, while the dress shimmers like luxurious satin.

Those are a terrific way to add many colors to your wardrobe without making your inventory burst with extra items in each separate texture, and I am a huge fan of those HUDs. For our last look of this evening, I am wearing a gift called {RS} Leena Tube Top & Pants, a casual and sassy look that I am certainly enjoying. There is a HUD provided as well, 6 colors for each the top and the pants, so I was able to tint them both red on the left while mixing a black top with deep purple pants on the right. I love the textures of both materials, they look like they would be heavenly to touch.
Hair note of the night: Uber opened last night at Midnight SL time, and Truth Hair released this amazing offering called Margarita in all his new textures and with a Stylist HUD that has 8 different versions - each side tucked behind the ears, each side in front of or behind the shoulders, etc. Also included but not shown, a sweet pair of flowers for each side of the hair, giving this a hippie/Boho feeling that I greatly appreciate. You may be wondering about those bangs I suddenly sprouted halfway through the photos, those are not part of this hair but actually one of several versions included in a VIP group gift that was sent shortly after the July monthly gift. There was another gift of these same bangs styles previously, this is the update with the new color HUDs to coordinate with his newer releases perfectly. I have had bangs in RL for longer than I care to admit, LOL, most of my life really, and thought these would add a sweet touch to this particular hairstyle. Obviously the hair is gorgeous without the added bangs too, and I was extra fortunate to get into Uber on my first try. Each color set is $250L (fatpack and variety are more of course) so it is discounted while it is at the event.

Hiya everyone! Another weekend is upon us, and my RL shifts into busy mode for a few days, so I appreciate my SL time as an escape from any resulting stress. Tonight as with many recent posts, I have a treat or two from the Rally To Rescue event taking place until March 20th where you can purchase some amazing products (male/female clothing, accessories, tattoos, decor, etc.) and feel good knowing that 100% of the proceeds is going to no-kill, non-profit volunteer rescue organizations for animals in need. Another fun way to spend time this weekend involves searching for some deviously hidden cubes, yes I am referring to the Twisted Hunt. Their Spring 2017 round is themed Infinity with the cubes (and many prizes) featuring the color multi-green which is a tribute both to new leaves of spring and our March holiday of St. Patrick's Day. If you wondered about my post title tonight, well it isn't easy being green because the hunt is considered the hardest in SL, yet it is very worth the effort :)
First we rally, with two of many offerings at Rally To Rescue from Pretty Sexy Things. The top is from their Rebel T's line and called Feed Me and Tell Me I'm Pretty, which is exactly what the shirt itself says across the front. I love that idea! Just $120L for this fun styled top with the sexy knot. My jeans are also from PST at the event, where $150L donation will reward you with the Worn Skinny Jeans in Dog Lovin' with some playful embroidered patches and worn spots on the front, and I really love the way they fit. The top and jeans each come in sizes for Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique as well as standard mesh sizes. Twisted time! This alluring one-sleeved dress is our hunt prize from Get Frocked, named Twisted Spring Dress and it is included in 8 fitmesh sizes for standard, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. I really enjoy the mesmerizing pattern on the skirt, and single shoulder tops and dresses have been appealing to me more and more lately.
This next prize made me think of St. Paddy's Day immediately, with the bold green and glimmers of gold, yet certainly fun for year round wear. It is the twisted prize from Rowena's Designs and called Infinity Mini Dress & Boots, with the dress provided in standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP. The boots are included in rigged and unrigged versions so you can adjust them as needed, the rigged fit my Slink High feet perfectly. My last look for the night is the prize from Precious Designs, same building as Rowena's above, and this is the stunning Twisted 2017 (Infinity) Dress & Heels. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP along with standard mesh sizes, and a HUD to change colors of the dress, sheer skirt layer, and straps independently between black and green (I contrasted the straps against the rest for each image). Hiya everyone! There is plenty to show you on this chilly but lovely Friday evening, ways to look good and feel good. I picked up several group gifts for the FabFree (Fabulously Free in SL) group, which is free to join and is the inworld group for the amazing FabFree blog. They are such a valuable resource of information and tips to find free or inexpensive clothing and much more, for longtime residents as well as the newer denizens of our virtual world. Meanwhile, we have the opportunity to help animals in need by visiting Rally To Rescue and purchasing some extraordinary items from a few dozen different designers across the grid, with all proceeds going to no-kill, non-profit volunteer rescue organizations. Ghost Bullys MC, our host and organizer, is focused on rescuing pitbulls but are still looking out for all animals who need us. It is a worthy cause and I am so honored to be a tiny part of it by blogging these offerings. Even if you don't want to receive an item in return, you can always visit and make a donation at one of the kiosks there, as well as learn a bit more about what the event is all about.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some one-stop shopping for you, as two wonderful designers who share the same store building have plenty of gifts for various free-to-join groups. This means we can visit one LM to find Precious Designs and Rowena's Designs, and I have blogged before several times about their generous array of group gifts, lucky boards, mini manias and midnight manias, and abundant bargains. Tonight I am focusing on the current SLF&O Group gifts from both stores, as each are offering several treats for anyone who is wearing that free group tag.
This is such a cute look for spring, which I am hoping will be here before very long :) Precious Designs is offering 4 gifts right now for SLF&O members, and the outfit is gift #1 while the matching shoes are gift #2. They are both called Watch Me, and the outfit is comprised of the top, pants, and jacket you see above in standard sizes each, and a terrific HUD with 6 color choices for each piece. They are easily mixed as I did on the right, or you can choose one favorite color as I did in all the blues on the left. The matching gift of shoes are for Slink High and have the same 6 colors on their HUD to select from, such versatility is greatly appreciated.
Their other pair of SLF&O gifts have a springy feel to them too, and the colors are stunning. This is the Black Coffee Top & Leggins, along with the Black Coffee shoes for Slink High. Another gift that really tickled my fancy is their {RS} Webby Dress, complete with a HUD that allows you to change the color of the dress and belt independently to your choice of 5 colors. It does have a webbed texture, which from a distance almost looks like marble, and I would gladly wear this any time of year. It comes in sizes for Slink Hourglass and Slink Physique as well as standard mesh sizes.
Back to casual, this final look is a playful capris set called {RS} Brigit Top and Capri. We can wear both the tank top and crop top at the same time for a layered look, or individually if we prefer, and they along with the capri pants each come in standard mesh sizes. There is a color HUD for the tops, 5 choices for each, while the capris stay a classic neutral black with that attached brown belt. This is a great choice for those relaxing days of exploring the grid when you don't want to be overdressed. As I have been frequently the only one who wasn't wearing black among crowds of a dozen or so, I appreciate the splashes of color even more. I notice strange things while fishing or waiting at lucky boards sometimes ;)
Each day brings me a bit closer to feeling well, and my household is slowly returning to what it calls "normal". Trust me, that word is nothing more than a setting on a washing machine in my life, LOL, but I embrace uniqueness and am okay with being somewhat unusual at times. At least the people around me are feeling better than a few days ago, myself included, and I am hopeful as always.
