Spooktakulum Treasure Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Spooktakulum event, where there are over 40 merchants taking part to offer seasonal fashion and decor in Autumn, Dia de los Muertos, and Halloween themes. There is also a fun treasure hunt, so nearly every participant has a treasure chest hidden that you can click to receive a free gift. The chest even opens to show a golden bounty when touched :) I enjoyed exploring the shop fronts and carts to find all of them, and got some ideas for a future seasonal shopping trip. The event opened just over a week ago, and is open until the 20th of November so you have plenty of time to visit, hunt, pick up demos, and find Halloween costumes or spooky home decor.

First we have the prize from Moonstar called MESH Boo! Dress and Witch Hat, and it is a perfect nod to the season. The dress comes in standard mesh sizes plus versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. There is also a black modesty butterfly (like panties but no sides) in system/BOM layers and an Omega applier, and of course the matching hat is provided with a built in resize script. You can adjust it as needed to complete your look. There are a few jeweled spiders crawling on it, and one hanging from the tip, but they seemed friendly enough ;) Besides, your dress can keep an eye on them for you?

Autumn is a fantastic part of the theme for this event, so the treasure called Autumn Leaves Bust Harness Mini Dress by COVETED! fits into it beautifully. The warm golden dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The leaf pattern is wonderful!

Our prize from [IDA:C] is their Stella Dress - Purple Grapes, and it is a dazzling mini with scattered pearls including a large one adorning the back. It is created for the Maitreya mesh body, and has materials enabled so you will want to use the advanced lighting on your viewer to see it as its finest. There is an extra lights attachment included and I am wearing it here, very subtle and did not wash out my skintone or anything which I appreciate :) The texture really does appear to sparkle!

This cute strapless mini is the *MM* Nanette Spooktakulum Dress from Mara's Mysteries, and is decorated with bats, cats, and jack o'lanterns. The treasure includes Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body sizing, just find that hidden chest. To add a bit more festivity, be sure to click the SugarBaker's treasure chest to claim their Caster gift, a set of bangles for the left wrist that contain a resize script so you can adjust them if necessary. They are a bold statement piece that will liven up any outfit you decide to accessorize.

My final look of the evening is the daring MadCatCreations prize called MCC - woman - Halloween Lingerie Skull, and it is fully loaded with sexy options. The bra, panties, and garter belt are each included in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body versions. The matching stockings come in an Omega applier, and the shoes include Belleza, Maitreya, Slink High, and unrigged versions. The riding cloak is a fun addition, in standard mesh sizes plus Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions, with a rich crimson outer layer and lined with black and white to match the lingerie. You could try a different pair of shoes or leave off the riding cloak for various looks, and that cloak could easily be paired with other items in your inventory to freshen them a bit. 

Whew, the weekend is almost here! This week felt long and sluggish, so I am eager for tomorrow's dinner with my parents and Saturday's farmers market trip. Wash Cart Sale and Kikai Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am delighted to have more discounted selections from The Wash Springtacious Cart Sale to show you, and you have just over a week to visit and pick up all those bargains at either $10L each or one special offer for $50L per cart. The values you can find there have impressed me for ages, long before I even thought about starting to blog, let alone having the honor of joining their blogging team :) There are also some free prizes in my post tonight, from a fun Easter egg hunt taking place at the Kikai Spring Market. Just explore the shops and carts at their market and you will see a few dozen eggs that are dressed up in pretty patterns for the holiday, give them each a click and claim your prizes. 

If you visit the Loordes of London cart at The Wash, you will notice there are several color variations of the terrific clothing I am wearing to start off this post, and at just $10L each you can afford to pick up a nice assortment to mix and match. The top is a lovely layered sweater/tank top called On The Fringe II and this is #8 (their color choices are numbered) which I paired with their Sondrio Jeans #11. The jeans include standard mesh sizes, while the top has standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, and Physique versions. I do mention often that the wide variety at The Wash includes home decor, so here you can see one of the many wonderful offerings from the Dark Knight Decor cart. This is their Spring Flowers Watercolors, with a land impact of just 1 so it is as easy on your prim count budget as it is on your linden balance. Anachron has some fantastic selections for us on their Springtacious cart, namely their Vintage Paisley Belted Dress in 6 different colors. This is blue on the left and pink on the right, and each color includes standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique fits. I definitely appreciate the attached belt, as it really adds a special touch to the overall look. Just $10L per color variety, so go scoop up the deals and drape yourself in pretty paisley! Let's peek inside a few more Easter Eggs from the Kikai market, shall we? This is our prize from Emerald Couture, their EC Rock The Rabbit Purple N Gray. It features a fun shirt dress with a bunny eared hood, and a cute rocking rabbit on the chest, in 6 mesh sizes (standard and one called flexi, probably a fitted) plus those cute leggings with music notes down the left leg are included in system layers and an Omega HUD. Even the boots for Slink High feet are tucked in there, finishing off the look so nicely.

One of my favorite colors is purple like that prior outfit, and another is pink as seen here, so tonight's colors are all making me happy. This is the prize from SweetReds Designs and is named Julie. She is included in standard mesh sizes, and is a great choice for a breezy look on a warm spring day. I am fond of hearts too, so those scattered about the plaid of the fluttery skirt caught my attention too. 

One more pretty in pink look, this dress is hiding in the egg from MYSTY and is called Spring Dress Woman Gift Kikai Hunt Spring Market. That's a mouthful :) There are system layers and an Omega applier for the top and glitch pants, then the flexi skirt has a built in resize script so this dress can suit a generous range of bodies and shapes. I felt a nice way to dress it up would be to add a single accessory, and one of the eggs from SugarBaker's provided these striking Easter Bangles that fit the bill. They have a resize script built in so you can adjust these as necessary, and there is another version in a different egg so keep on searching :) I think they would look wonderful against a solid black dress too, or even a shirt in any color found in the bangles and your favorite jeans. 

I did catch up on sleep today, and was surprised when I finally woke up that April the giraffe didn't decide to have the baby while I slept. I feel that way every time I get any rest lately though, that I'll miss it! Poor girl, she must be tired of being pregnant by now, it can't be easy no matter what species. More Goodies from Kikai Street Fair Hunt

Hiya everyone! I have a few more prizes from the Kikai Street Fair & Ice Cone Hunt to share with you from their delightful cart sale with hidden ice cream cones full of goodies.

First we have a system layer outfit from #11 Prims Boutique, which I'm showing with and without the shirt bottom layer (on an underpants layer) so you can see the waistband lacing. The pants have the same lacing in the back, both at the waist and on the legs, so definitely interesting front and rear views :) The set of bangles on my right wrist is the prize from the cone #01 SugarBaker's, but as a side note there were 2 labeled #01 from different vendors. There is a resize script in the bracelets, but I just shimmied them upward a bit so my hands didn't hide any of them. 

I left the pants on so I could show off a couple of shirts from the hunt, starting with this mesh tee from Alegant with the amazing lion print. This is in cone #08 and I'm looking forward to matching it with a wide variety of bottoms from my inventory.

For another terrific top, you'll want to find cone #24 and the Hearts Galore Crop Top inside. There is no store name on it and no landmark, and unfortunately I don't remember which of the many carts was hiding this beauty. I just know it's going to look fantastic with whichever shorts, pants, or breezy skirt my mood dictates I pair it up with :)

This makes me giggle because upon reflection, it seems my avi is giving me some wicked side-eye for dressing her in a casual outfit with fancy pearls. The colors are nice together though :) The outfit is system layers (no appliers included) from SweetRed's Designs (#15), and I actually have a maxi skirt that I want to wear this top with soon. The pearls are from cone #06, Darkmatter, and are aptly named Cotton Candy. This would be a nice accessory for a wide variety of pastels or brights, or to add a pop of color to a neutral outfit.

Last but certainly not least, if you'd like to feel like a princess or just enjoy feeling fancy, how about this great tiara from #07? Beauty for Fashion has put this beautiful headpiece in their ice cream cone, along with a red rose to hold that will poof a petal when you click it. Just look at those details on the tiara, the diamonds and baby's breath and other assorted tiny flowers!

Nail note of the night: I finally had a spare moment to pick up the Facebook gift from alaskametro, and it's a terrific nautical themed set of mani/pedis that includes Slink, Maitreya, Eve, and Omega HUDs.
