Fabulous Free Fifteen

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue to explore FabFree at Fifteen, a gridwide event where each participating designer is offering a new item, a $15L selection, and a free gift for FabFree in SL group members. It is so exciting to celebrate the FabFree blog's 15th anniversary, especially when I've been a loyal reader of theirs for most of that time as I started in SL in late 2007 and found them within the first year. When you arrive at each store, be on the lookout for a display in a deep purple color that has the sales items on it, then a gift box beneath that usually in front of or behind that stand. If you have your FabFree group tag active, you can claim these boxed gifts for free, and this event is open until the 9th of August so you have sufficient time to visit all the stores you wish :) The website will guide you with landmarks and previews of most of the offerings. For tonight I wound up focused on tops, so pull out your favorite pants or skirts and get ready to pair them up!

My first look this evening is the Eclectic Stars - Natasha - Dream gift. This blousy purple t-shirt has a fun mermaid whale on the front above the words "dream big", something I strive to do everyday :) The gift includes Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. I already got a compliment (from Xan) for wearing this sweet treat, so I certainly do recommend claiming it. 

I also picked up the free gift from Corvus called Collect Cecile Top Gift. It says "I collect dead things" across the front, and fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I like the cropped style and cuffed sleeves very much, and now I'm wondering what sort of dead things I should start collecting...we are probably all safer if I stick to collecting high quality freebies and bargains ;)

Next I changed into the Tastic-Crazy BFF Top-Gift, and I can neither confirm nor deny that I am in fact the crazy BFF ;) I might drive Xan up a wall when I feel the need to click everything we see in SL that says not to touch, does that count? Our gift includes sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

What more perfect gift for the FabFree at Fifteen event could there be than a shirt that says FAB? This is The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. FAB Tee, a comfy tank top provided in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. 

One more look this evening, we have the Glitter gift called Luana Top Fitmesh Strong Colors. There are Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes included, with a 6 color HUD so you can choose your favorite hue. The style is unique, with a single long sleeve but both shoulders bared, and the sleeveless side being cinched and tied with a loose bow. As with all of tonight's looks, I am wearing the white jeans from my favorite marketplace freebie, Delizio's fatpack of jeans in several colors as system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

This evening certainly took a weird turn, thanks in part to a 40-minute internet outage that delayed this post a bit. I was still very much in the beginning of blogging when it went down, so I had to practice a lot of patience while waiting for its return. It was something on their end and affecting way more than just me, so there was nothing I could do about it. I am also mad at my favorite hockey team for making dumb decisions about trades and getting rid of players, but that is just part of sports I suppose. Halcyon Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features gifts found at the Shop & Hop Winter shopping event, all on the Halcyon sim. That is just one of nine festively decorated sims (I believe Linden Labs prefers the term region to sim, but I admit I slip up a lot because I've been calling them sims for well over a decade) with a terrific collection of designers offering special discounted selections and gifts for all visitors. The event hops away on the 3rd of January, so be sure to stop by before then and enjoy. 

My first look tonight starts with the UNA Carol Winter Version top, which is created for the Maitreya mesh body. It has extra long sleeves that hide our hands, and the appearance of a reindeer sweater layered above a seasonal patterned blouse. I am wearing my favorite marketplace gift with them, the white pair from the fatpack of Delizio jeans that appear here quite often. Another fun addition is my earrings, which are from the Eclipse Art Studio gift called .:EA:.Studio Rock SnowMan. There are pairs in silver and gold each of the black, classic, and white varieties. In the inset you can see a closer view of the white snowmen in silver, with studded belt and skull-adorned scarf for those rock touches. 

Another shirt that made me smile is the gift from Eclectic Stars, their Anya - Invading Christmas. The tree on the front is made of characters from a very familiar old video game, who may have invaded your space in an arcade once upon a time ;) It comes in standard mesh sizes along with versions for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. 

I also found a wonderful gift at the Entice display, called Blackbird Outfit - Green. This top and skirt are each included in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes. I enjoy the slightly asymmetrical neckline that leads to bare shoulders above the 3/4 length sleeves, and the knit texture makes this a great choice for winter. 

Maybe some plaid will make your new year wishes come true, then please claim the gift from Faida called December. It is a strapless mini with matching ruffle at its hem, in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Maitreya Flat Chested, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass Petite, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Fine Mini bodies. It will be flattering on any and all of them, and I think it will go well with whatever accessories you might be in the mood to add. 

My final look of the evening is a formal one with a flirty twist. The .:FlowerDreams:.Seda dress gift starts with a wrap in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. It continues with pants in system/BOM layers as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink appliers, then there are flexi skirts for left, right, and the train in the back. At first I was looking for a top, then I realized the wrap is designed to cover the necessary parts and not much more ;) There is the flirty twist I mentioned, as it has bare shoulders and midriff yet maintains an air of elegance. The fiery red skirt really flutters when we move, too, so walking or dancing will be a visual treat.

At this point, I am just so eager for a new year and to put this one behind us...I have no RL plans until Friday, so I am focusing on finding any positive things I can and spending time online with people I cannot see in person yet. Peaceful Easy Feeling

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are continuing along the Peace On Earth Hunt 13 path, finding more globes of the earth and claiming lots of generous free prizes. I have been enjoying this tradition for over a decade now, the realization of which startles me a bit but also warms my heart. We can take comfort in knowing that these designers are thinking of us, and it is a treat to be introduced to stores that are new to us among the ones that are as familiar as a favorite song. The website will assist you with hints for each globe, and is also important to have open while hunting because of the locations that need to be skipped. The next landmark might not be updated in each globe yet but the website has that information as well as letting you know to pass by certain stops. I also suggest hunting with friends, since teamwork can help you figure out hints or just cover a large store faster and there are prizes for men as well as women. 

We start the evening with an elegant gown from Glitterati which is simply named POE 13 Hunt Gift. It is provided in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizing. The dark pinstripes look lovely against the green fabric, and the bare shoulders are balanced by the high neckline and pert train in the rear.

I was also very happy to find the globe at [ASHBURY], especially since it contains not just one but two gifts! For the gentlemen we have a handsome shirt, and for the ladies they have included their Grace Skirt n Top as seen above. The charming set comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with exposed shoulders and lots of ruffles and flair. Did you notice the candy canes and gingerbread in the pattern? Those are two of my favorite parts of the holiday season, so it's fun to have them represented on my new outfit.

Next we visit Zickenkiste to find their globe and claim their Nakisha Set 1 outfit. Red is a popular color this time of year, but also just looks very fashionable no matter what the calendar says! It includes standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. It has a magical sparkle to it that lighting wherever you wear it will enhance, so you will want to have advanced lighting turned on in your viewer to see it at its best. If I had a formal occasion to go to in the near future, this would probably be my first choice of wardrobe :)

For lots of people, Christmas and cats are two of their favorite things, so if that sounds like you (I am a bird person, but cats are beautiful creatures) please be sure to find the prize at Eclectic Stars. Their playful Shifty - Catty Christmas dress has long sleeves and a flared skirt, all trimmed in softest grey to complement the kitties who are enjoying some Christmas stockings and decorations. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, so you can probably wear it with most shapes and sizes. I am making use of the provided alpha layer and my BOM compatibility, so anything that should not be showing through is hidden. The countdown to Christmas continues, and I am making sure that all my plans are comfortably in place. Fashionable Hunt Finds

Hiya everyone! Tonight is another quick trip down the hunt path of the Beached Bunny Hunt 10, since there are plenty more $1L beach pails to find in just under a week. There are so many that I would love to share, and I selected a random handful to start our weekend in style. Let's dig right in!

First we stop by the Wiccan Wears store, to find their pail that holds this ~WW~ Wilma Sundae Fun Mini dress. It has a playful striped background with delicious looking ice cream and scattered hearts on it, and the strap style is quite intriguing. This prize includes standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body versions. 

It is important to have a nice selection of swimwear ready this season, which is why I am excited to have claimed the prize from PHE: which is simply named TBBH10 Gift. The bikini top, bottom, and sheer skirt each come in standard mesh sizing along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic fine fits. Since the bottom is a thong, it is useful to have the additional coverage of the skirt, even if it is a gauzy material ;)

This striking look comes from the hidden pail at Applique` Chic, their AC: Petal Beach Dress. Eclectic Stars is such an entertaining store to visit with nods to many fandoms, so I was very happy to see that they too are participating in this hunt. Their prize is the Velma - Sharknado swimsuit, a one-piece strapless with modest cut legs tied with delicate bows. Of course there is a tornado of sharks in vibrant colors swimming about the pattern, and the Velma name immediately made me think of Scooby Doo. Mine are actually to stay home, as last week's farmers market trip in the heat did not turn out too well for me. Still Down The Rabbit Hole

Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features more Evil Bunny group gifts from the Down The Rabbit Hole event, which is open for almost another week (until the 21st) and has a delightful Alice in Wonderland theme. There are discounted selections at every booth, as well as most offering a gift for anyone with the event's "I'm Evil!" group tag active. I have really been enjoying sharing these gifts with all of you, and I hope they have inspired you take your own trip down the rabbit hole :)

My first look shows the gift from Prism, their Girls Just Wanna Have Sun T Shirt by Jezzixa. It comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, as well as standard fitmesh sizing for classic avatars. The name of the shirt is emblazoned on the front with sunbeams and hearts, creating a cheerful summery look. My jeans are from the Delizio marketplace gift that appear on my blog fairly often, a fatpack of colors in system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. No wardrobe should be without these in my opinion, and you will see them again in the next couple of photos.

The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. has a fun gift for us too, their Sir Rabbit Tee with the elegantly dressed March hare depicted on the front. The gift includes standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. 

Next we see a gift that is not quite the Alice in Wonderland theme, but more a nod to fairy tales in general. It is by v3 Tattoo Apparel and called Screw Prince Charming Sweatshirt, and that image on the front says "Screw Prince Charming, Give me a Bad Boy with Tattoos". Claim this group goodie and you'll receive sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, all ready to be paired with your favorite jeans or leggings. 

Emerald Couture has definitely chosen a theme-based gift with their EC Alice Outfit, albeit a grown up version :) The frilled bodysuit comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, and the Mary Jane style shoes with built in thigh-high socks are provided in the same sizing. The bows and lace bring a sweetness to the look, while they and the blue and white coloring are a nod to Alice herself.

For my final look of the evening, I chose the Eclectic Stars gift which is their charming Temperance - Steamy Wonderland gown. It is rather genius to combine two fandoms this way, Steampunk and Alice in Wonderland, and I am impressed to say the least :) The gown comes in eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. 

Today I was reminded of how baffling electric wiring can be in a house...the handyman came to replace the light over the garage door (attached to the house, I am sitting directly above it right now) and needed the electricity for just that area turned off briefly. Nobody realized that 1) it included half the things in the room I am in right now but not all, and 2) that it did not get turned back on. *eyeroll* Then I discovered that my light didn't work anymore and the computer had no power either. Yet the tivo's light was on and the tv was working, so yep that is confusing. After some frantic digging in the breaker box, we realized what needed to be flipped and yay I had power again :) He also caulked the top of both windows in this room from the outside because of the wasp or hornet or whatever that was that was in here, and I am still lightheaded from the strong odor of caulk. Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to share some more Stay at Home Club gifts with you, since there are still so many for us to appreciate. There is no group needed to claim these, just stop by each participating store and look for the club's logo. Their website has several categories for you to choose from, then each photo is linked to the landmark where you can find these thoughtful gifts. Much gratitude to the generous designers who are contributing to our emotional well-being during this stressful time, with high quality offerings to make your avatar and your home look even more fantastic.

Our first stop this evening is [Ari-Pari] where you will find their Suede Halter Top as the Stay at Home Club gift. This versatile top has a sweetheart neckline and a spaghetti strap to hold it in place, cropped to resemble a bustier. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with a HUD that allows you to choose from 10 lovely colors to suit any mood. Our next stop is Illustrious, who have even thoughtfully provided a path on the floor made of the Stay at Home Club logos, to help you find your way to their Jenni Dress - Cherry gift. I also visited Eclectic Stars, and was very excited to try on their gift called Buffy - Galactic Cutie dress. Just look at those planets with decorated unicorn horns on the skirt! The solid purple top is a halter style with ties across the mid-back, very flirty with the handkerchief hemline. When you unpack this fun gift, you will find sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies.

My final look is courtesy of AnaSTyle, and is their Mara White outfit. The wisp of a dress with sheer lace cups is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The high heel mules are also included, for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High feet. I feel like these shoes will look cute with other outfits too, not just this particular dress, although I definitely appreciate having matching footwear included with clothing :)

Time feels like it is moving slowly again today, or I am just thrown off by life in general these days. I saw some more wonderful gifts on the Stay at Home Club site, so that is most likely what will be appearing here tomorrow too. Still Sailing Around The Grid

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have another array of prizes from the Around The Grid 7 Hunt, which are each $1L if you find the hidden hot air ballon or $25L if you choose to buy the prize from the balloon near the hunt sign. I realize not everyone enjoys hunting, or maybe you just won't have the time before this hunt ends on September 30th, so it is good to know you have another option. The website is useful to have open while you hunt, since that is how we navigate from store to store, and there are hints to help us find the hidden yellow and red striped balloons.

My first look of the evening is a very thorough outfit from NUTS Inc, and one of two prizes inside the same balloon. Their ATG7 Sari Outfit includes top and skirt that you can deliver from their HUD by clicking the sizes you need: standard, Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus), Maitreya, Slink (Hourglass, Physique), or Tonic (Curvy, Fine). There is also a button for shoes, that delivered folder contains the unrigged flat sandals and backpack you see here. They can be adjusted or resized to suit your needs, and the backpack even says 'Around the Grid" across the top. There are lots of great details like the partly open zippers in the front of the skirt, and the various patches to contrast against the denim.

Eclectic Stars has an adorable gift waiting in their balloon, this Buttercup - Pixel Love suit. It comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. It is a single mesh piece with everything you see here attached...the mane, horn, ears, muzzle, and mane which all add up to make me a unicorn!!! ♥ 

Next we see the treat from Hopes Creations, their pretty [HC] Toya ATG7 Jumpsuit. It is provided in eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Physique, Physique Petite, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. The sash style belt is attached, in a sunny yellow shade that perfectly matches the daisy's centers.

The Sissy Bar is offering this casual floral delight in their balloon, (TSB) Around the Grid in 80 Days. The short sleeved crop top and daring shorts are each included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. Those pointed rear sections on the shorts are so intriguing and flirty!

My final look of the night comes from Grumble, and is their Glam Knotted Dress-Frenchie. The pupper-covered strapless mini comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions, and I was immediately drawn to the cheerful sketches of flowers and bows and such surrounding the dogs. 

It was a decent day here, and dinner with my parents was really enjoyable. Tasty food, good company...I certainly can't complain about that :) I hope you're all having a terrific day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

On the Tenth Day of Advent...

Hiya everyone! Today I have more Advent calendar gifts from several very thoughtful designers. I was curious so I looked into the history of Advent calendars to see where the tradition got started, and it seems to have been well over 100 years ago in Germany. Second Life residents have always found clever ways to translate RL things into our world, and this is a lovely way to celebrate the holiday season. The gifts you will see here either need no group tag at all, or a group tag that is free to join. 

First we have today's gift from ML Fashion which is simply named Gift Day 10. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and even a classic fitted version. I couldn't help but notice the texture of the dress, and how it looks like stripes of gemstones. No group is necessary to claim this calendar's goodies. The link in my ending credits should take you directly to the calendar, but just in case it is located upstairs in the store.

Next we visit Ellnique Designs (formerly Shoenique Designs) and their Advent calendar which needs their group tag (free to join) to claim their daily gifts. This one is their **SD** Jureal Red Gown, in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. It also includes a silver ruffle attachment which I am wearing on the right, so you can see that this dress is beautiful with or without the addition. 

It is always a treat to visit Eclectic Stars, which strongly appeals to my geeky side and makes me smile. Their calendar has a photo of Deadpool on it, lounging seductively, and today's gift is nontraditional in its color choices. Shifty - Pink Plastic Xmas has a fun flamingo design, with each wearing a Santa hat as a nod to the season, and the long sleeves make it a great choice for chilly weather. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. No group needed, just tickle Deadpool in the right place ;)

Applique` Chic has a pyramid of boxes shaped like a tree outside of their store, right where you land, and each is free to all on the current day and $10L each for prior dates. Today's AC: Festive Skirt Set G. Tree outfit found inside box #10 is a cozy style that is ready for a holiday outing. The top and skirt each come in classic S, M, L along with Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes.

My final look of the day is from Entice, which you can claim for your very own with their free group tag beneath the group members' tree (or $25L for non-members under the other tree). It's called Sweet Dixie Dress - Salmon, in a fantastic color with retro polka dots and crisp white belt, trimmed in white lace. The gift includes Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya versions. Such a pretty look, isn't it?

Tomorrow's post will be a late evening one, as my daytime will be ever so delightful (please note heavy sarcasm) thanks to a dental appointment. It's a lifelong fear and a lifelong commitment all rolled into one, and I take full advantage of the nitrous that makes it a little less stressful.
