Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is not about the endearing movie Hocus Pocus (which I'll be watching again in a few hours) but rather an SL event also named Hocus Pocus. You can claim lots of free gifts by visiting each store and saying "hocus pocus" in local chat (all lower case) near the sign and magic bottle that reminds me of a glass candle in a jar. You have at least a 30% chance of winning and can try once every 24 hours, until November 4th. If you get impatient you can always by the prize for $50L instead. You can get a HUD for free on the Marketplace or by clicking the signs to help you TP quicker from place to place, and it shows a preview of the prize for each store right in your viewer screen, but the HUD isn't required to claim them. I find it very handy though :) There are still quite a few prizes I haven't won yet, but I wanted to show you some of them tonight before it gets too late to claim any of them.
This look features a few different prizes, let's start with the clothing...this romper is from Bodhi and comes in several mesh sizes: Small, Medium, Maitreya, Freya, Isis, Venus, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. The terrific shoes are from Dilly Dolls and are called Glinna, they come with a HUD that adjusts the fit for Maitreya or Slink Mid, and offers 4 color options along with the choice of having the strap black or the same color as the stripes. On the right above, I changed the purple in the middle to Black Strap but left it matching the other colors. If you are admiring my hair, the good news is that it is also a Hocus Pocus prize, this one from Love and called [Blush]. It is a very generous gift too, including a full fat pack of color HUDs (blondes, brunettes, candies, gingers, greyscale, mystics, oddities, ombres, pastels) plus an exclusive Hallow HUD.
This is the same romper and same hair (this color choice is from the Hallow HUD) but here I have added a new buddy whose acquaintance I am very pleased to make! This is the prize from PSYCHO:Byts called Familiar Cat - Poison. He does have a vial around his neck that seems to be glowing ominously, and he is animated so he was a bit wiggly while I was posing for our photo. He looks like a moss-tinted Siamese or Snowshoe, one of those colorpoint breeds that are so elegant looking.
Another hair color change, and another outfit...this lingerie is our prize from Goth1c0 called Vampy Lingerie. It is included in system layers along with HUDs for Lolas, Omega, Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. So detailed with those delicate closures in the front and the lacing in the back! I imagine it would take considerable magic to get them all closed, or to open them carefully in a hurry. I accessorized with our gift from Indulge Temptation, their !IT! Deadly Necklace which comes with a handy HUD offering 10 metal choices and 16 colors for each the bow and the gem (coffin) so there are countless possibilities of combinations to suit any mood or outfit.
I have so many gorgeous nails to show you, starting with this amazing gift from Hello Dave. Their prize is this Hocus Pocus HUD for Slink and Omega, with 35 varieties (5 versions each of 7 styles/colors) so I'm showing a very random sampling here. I think I'm partial to the marbled purple and the stormy night looking deeper purple, but it all depends on what you're wearing and what colors you favor.
Another wonderful gift is this Stitched Slink HUD from Bella Elephante, which offers 10 designs with that Nightmare before Christmas vibe. Look like Sally, or enjoy these year round as I intend to.
One final look of the night, this is the prize from DP Koffin Nails called Witch's Brew fatpack. You will receive HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, each with 5 choices with different potion colors and background colors for the steam wafting from the cauldrons at the tips. All it takes is a bit of luck and lots of magic.
I am still having crashing issues in SL and even crashed when I was trying to take the first photo here...the best thing for me to do is try to reduce my inventory some more and try to be patient, easier said than done. I am still here, just a bit frustrated and slower than usual. At least I was able to login today, unlike Saturday morning. Hiya everyone! I am briefly interrupting my Loving Kind hunt coverage for another hunt that is ending in just a few days, a very different kind of hunt called the XOXO Hunt. Instead of searching for a hunt object, this time you will go >here< to get a HUD and then go to each store (links via HUD) and approach their hunt easel (shown on their site) and type XOXO in local chat. So you're kissing a sign, and the sign gets to critique your performance ;) If the sign thinks you're a good kisser, it'll give you a gift...if not, you have to practice kissing for 24 hours and come back to try again. If you've seen people running around typing "xoxo" randomly in chat and then TPing away, this is most likely the reason. Would you like to see a few of the many wonderful prizes?
First up, we have a stunning dress from Junbug named Miss Evelyn, with some delightful details. The corset styling and lacing in the back blew me away, plus that cute ribbon tie is a fun touch. There are standard sizes included, I'm wearing the Small, and felt the need to mention that there is also a Small Curvy size included which is a bonus surprise since this traditional small is rather curvy and busty to me :)
I enjoyed this next dress and felt it was a lovely backdrop for an accessory from the hunt. The dress is the Milena Dress by Bodhi, provided in a whole host of sizes including Belleza FREYA, Belleza ISIS, Belleza VENUS, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP. As for the necklace, well the gift from OXIDE is not just one necklace but a trio, which include a collar and two necklaces called Valentia. I am wearing the Short version here, the long is the same basic style with the same beautiful details but deeper down the neckline.
You can see the collar from the OXIDE necklaces gift here on the left, and so much more! The bodysuit I am wearing is our prize from Supernatural, which includes system layers plus appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, Slink, and TMP. I love the lace at the top, and the 2 delicate bows at the leg openings. On the right, you'll notice I removed the collar and am showing an adorable cropped sweater, well that is our gift from Sorbet, their Coeur Cotele in Fraise. I love the cutout heart, and I admit this was a random case of needing to show off a top without having a pair of pants on hand from the hunt ;) But honestly I like the contrast of how the collar picks up the various lighter pink shades, while the red sweater highlights the deeper reds of the flowers.
Nails make me happy, so this picture clearly brings me plenty of joy :) On the top we have an adorable set of nails from Dark Passions, their Koffin Nails division, a fatpack called Tart Heart with 14 fun designs to choose from: 6 conversation hearts on your choice of pink or purple with tiny dots, or the pink or purple with the dots but no heart. Each design is also in either matte or gloss. The fatpack includes HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink nails and Slink toes. On the bottom of my photo, you can see the prize from Bella Elephante (not to be confused with their Elephante Poses who have a separate gift in this hunt). This is their Gem of my Heart nails, 10 colors with a faceted look with a heart in the center of each nail. You will receive Maitreya and Slink HUDs in this terrific prize.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing you some of the many wonderful prizes from the Firestorm Spooky Nights Hunt, this post consisting of items found on the Creepy Path on Sim 4. There are 28 skulls to be found there, and since you're searching an entire sim I highly recommend checking the hints on their blog as with all the paths. A little guidance can go a long way.
First we have a playful dress from skull #21, courtesy of Bodhi. It's called Scaredy Cat, and I'm sure you can see why. I accessorized with the gift from Wicca's Wardrobe, #04 in the hunt, which would be my sexy shoes. They are Manon Heels Spike Edition in Beige, and fit my Slink high feet perfectly.
Next we have an intriguing combination of mesh and flexi in our prize from YoKana, #12 in the path. Witch Gown Selena comes with the mesh gown in standard sizes, shown alone on the left, plus left and right arm ruffles, neck piece, flexi skirt with resizer, and the widow spider crawling towards my throat. Not shown are system layer gloves since no appliers.
I seem to have caught myself blinking again, hehe, but I'd like to think I was just trying to show you all my lovely eyeshadow ;) My jacket is prize #08 from Byrne, the Calavera Biker Jacket for girls (there is a vest included for the guys), in white and blue. I found myself seeing a lot more nipple than I generally prefer to show (my preference being none, LOL) so I noticed in the picture included with the prize they were wearing a tube top underneath. Found this cutie on the marketplace, details in the credits, to keep the girls under wraps, but you wear it the way you wish :) As for my jeans, they are prize #15 from Kingbal Stores, KS Any Low Rise Jeans that I have seen as a prize from them in other hunts and am fairly sure I've already blogged at least once before. They come with a HUD to change denim shades, lighter or darker as shown, and are in the usual range of mesh sizes.
Well known for organizing monthly free hunts, Fi's Creations has also provided a lovely prize in a skull along this hunt path for us, skull #20 to be exact. For the ladies we have this delightful Chocolate dress, and the men will find a matching chocolate suit, so we can be coordinated while...trick or treating for chocolate? Dancing the night away?
One final treat for the night, I found this adorable little darling in skull #27 from Bird-E-Mart. He is called bird-E-corn, and you can click to hear him chirp (more of a cooing sound perhaps, very sweet) and type a command /5 anim to turn the hold pose on and off. If you need me, I'll be cuddling with my new friend...
Nail note of the night: Nail Me! has a prize along this hunt path, called Jaaneman and including Slink and Omega HUDs that feature 5 choices of quite similar designs, black backgrounds with red streaks and 2 have a sparkly look to them. They can be found in skull #09. I have a skin note for tonight too, as my beloved WoW skins have provided a pair of prizes in skull #01, the skin I am wearing above and one for the guys as well. Appliers aren't included but I have a rather large collection of WoW skins and did have the correct appliers already. Xan tried on the men's skin and we both liked how it looked on him, seems to be the same skin tone as mine and had some very light stubble. Quite handsome :)

Hiya everyone! This week should be a golden opportunity to do some gridwide hunting, with a few hunts ending in a few days and some that still have a couple of weeks to go. New ones start when the new month does, and I expect plenty of Halloween themes :) For now, I had a lot of fun preparing these photos from The Autumn Effect Hunt and hope you enjoy them.
This gorgeous set of matching bras and panties are our prize from Bodhi, who are #46 in the hunt. Find this hockey puck and you will receive these beauties in black, orange, and purple, in system layers (shown) along with appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. Speaking of appliers, you can find even more in the prize #67 from Supernatural, the lovely Elvian tattoo I am wearing above. This includes appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, Omega, and even TMP for all your meshy needs :) I am showing the system layers of course, and if you're wondering about the inset photo, I wanted to show the way the flowers curve above the pubic bone area, so that white blur was necessary since the panties were covering too much of what I needed to show. The rear view is more than just a gratuitous bum shot, hehe, but a nice way to see the design on the back of the calves that are a part of this detailed ink.
If you need an eye-catching dress for a special night, or just to feel pretty because we all deserve it, then the gift from J&A Rock Culture is just right for you! Prize #23 is their denim dress with black belt attached, and has a terrific rear view as well as front view. I really like the great texture, too. A dress like this doesn't need much in the way of jewelry, but I thought it would be fun to add something edgy and I found prize #30 from Pomposity to do the trick. Their Skully Bracelets include a left and right version each of the original and an extra skulls version, which has an addition of two skulls dangling and can be seen on my right wrist above. There is a rather thorough color change menu, a glimpse of which is evident in the inset. These can match just about anything, it's fantastic!
An excellent wardrobe choice for a fall evening would be this formfitting trench coat from NoName, prize #61 in the hunt. The style is very flattering, and it includes a HUD with all 3 color choices shown, all wonderful for autumn. I will probably pair this up with a nice knit leggings or tights in the future :) Meanwhile I hope you noticed the enchanting necklace I'm wearing with it, which is our hunt gift from HollyWeird #02. I really love that crescent moon shape with the birds and tree silhouetted in such warm colors.
I always feel like nails are a detail that is small in size but huge in impact, and they really deserve a closer look whenever possible. So here is a better view of the prize from Toxxic Pandora, #33 in the hunt and glimpses shown previously. Here you can see the 3 solid colors and 3 designs, for a total of 6 options on the Slink HUD. They definitely have a fall feel, yet can be used year round for various outfits.
Well it has been a busy but overall good weekend here, and I hope yours has been whatever you needed :) Sometimes we need a couple of days to relax and unwind, other times it's more exhilarating to go out and do things, maybe with friends or family.
