In a Barbie World

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we explore the whimsical Barbie Hunt, in which we are looking for pink handheld mirrors for $1L apiece. The hunt's website will show you where to go, how to find the item, and what is inside most of them, since the landmarks and hints are found there. I do recommend having a look at their preview images, since the prizes are not necessarily what you might be imagining...there is a fair bit of pink, but not exclusively, and the outfits are not excessively "little girl" style if that makes sense. Remember, the Barbie doll has had dozens of careers throughout her lifetime and is collected by people of all ages and walks of life :) The mirror hunt item is a fun nod to one of her common accessories that her hands could actually hold, although I feel like my biggest memory of my Barbies is their tiny waist or maybe that long blonde hair. 

My first look comes from Pinky Panda, and for their Barbie Dress they chose a hot pink shade that looks great against the black. It is provided in Maitreya and Slink Hourglass sizes, and I was captivated by the gold chain straps and the split styling so that the left half is patterned and the right is solid black. The belt is attached, and all the gold trimming adds a fancy touch too. 

The Harambee-Gwassi charity store has a versatile and flirty prize, and they chose a much darker shade in the pink/red family for it. This is their Burgundy lace layered dress & scarf, and as you can see it can be worn with or without the intricately beaded scarf which has a built in resize script to adjust if needed. The dress itself comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body versions. I think it depends where you will be wearing it, and if you plan on accessorizing, since long earrings might be slightly hidden by the scarf. A necklace isn't really needed with the playful crossed straps that add so much visual interest already, but we all get to exercise our creativity with any outfit and wear it in a way that makes us smile.

This is our prize from The Sissy Bar, simply named (TSB) Barbie Hunt Dress. The effortless sheath dress has a pattern full of pinks, in a design that reminds me of puzzle pieces at first glance. The prize contains 5 standard sizes for classic avatars as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. 

A very long time ago, when I was a very young girl, there was a Kissing Barbie who came with lipstick and could actually leave lip prints on Ken's cheek or wherever you had her kiss. I forgot all about her until I saw this adorable *SB* Barbie Girl Crop Top from Sassy Brats. It includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and while I have paired it with white jeans from the Delizio marketplace free gift (fatpack, system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega) I can easily see wearing it with a black mini skirt or pretty much anything your imagination can come up with. 

For my final look of the evening I found the ladies' mirror at ~MystRie~ which I specify because they have 2 hidden so we have to make sure to follow the correct hint ;) Their Shimmer n' Tulle Babs starts with the dress in eBody Classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. The heels come in Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Mid, Tonic, and unrigged versions that you can adjust to various feet, and the matching teal headband is even provided which is also unrigged. That simply means that you can edit and move it, stretch it, and basically work with it to get a better fit. 

This week feels slow to me for some reason, but not really in a bad way. I guess not having all the appointments and plans of last week is making it feel different, but I am certainly finding other ways to keep busy :) I am still having lots of fun in Animal Crossing New Horizons, who released their winter update earlier so there are new hairstyles (more inclusive) and new reactions (like gestures) to purchase and enjoy. There is something peaceful about interacting with friendly animal neighbors in there, and enough things to do that it isn't boring. Holiday Feast Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we explore a November hunt, the Holiday Feast Hunt 4. In this month-long hunt, we are searching for a flat prim image of pilgrims and Indians (native Americans) drawn in a cute cartoon style, for $1L per prize. The website has hints and landmarks, with many preview photos of the prizes. There are a lot of terrific treats awaiting, all such impressive bargains at a single linden each. My first thought for the holiday the name refers to was Thanksgiving, probably because of the hunt object, but I think the prizes are generally suitable for autumn into winter so just the general time frame we are in. Their versatility is very important to me, so anyone in SL can enjoy and not just one country's inhabitants :)

My first look this evening is our prize from Pinky Panda, a playful dress called Cranberry Foxes. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a HUD to choose from 5 solid colors and 5 patterns each for the main dress and the panel in the center. The prints all have those cute foxes among seasonal foliage (looks like holly to me), but you could choose a completely solid look if you wanted a non-seasonal style.

I also found the prize at Simple Terms, and was pleased to discover that it consists of some great accessories along with a beautiful gown. Their ST - Gratitude Outfit starts with the halter harnessed gown that fits the Maitreya mesh body, plus earrings, necklace, and matching clutch. The earthy colors are perfect for autumn, and I love the floral outlines that make up the texture.

Next we have the GoodVibes prize called Cinnamon Knit Dress w Leotard. This fun outfit includes the short sweater style dress in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, while the leotard (stockings) come in system/BOM layers plus a Omega applier. I noticed that the hunt prizes at this location are all near large photos of the prize itself, so you will know for certain exactly what you are claiming. I also saw that there are different color varieties of this outfit for a couple other hunts, so that is worth looking into :)

This elegant treat comes from ~MystRie~ and is one of two prizes hidden in their store (male and female). Their HFH4-Female - Dinner Party outfit really matches its name, ready for your holiday feast or a special evening out. The jacket and strapless dress beneath each come in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with coordinating heels to fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High feet. For my final look of the evening, I chose the Applique` Chic prize which is called AC: Poofy Fall Dress. There are 6 color combinations to choose from via HUD, and the dress is provided in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies. I really like the style, and the mix of autumn floral patterns with solid colors.

My day was busy but decent, as I had a chiropractor appointment that went fairly well. The other doctor's dog was there again, an adorably fluffy Keeshond who really seemed to be in a cuddly mood. Isn't it so cute when a dog leans against your legs and just melts into your petting? I think he knew I was feeling anxious and needed the heartwarming interaction.
