Fabulous Free Fifteen

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue to explore FabFree at Fifteen, a gridwide event where each participating designer is offering a new item, a $15L selection, and a free gift for FabFree in SL group members. It is so exciting to celebrate the FabFree blog's 15th anniversary, especially when I've been a loyal reader of theirs for most of that time as I started in SL in late 2007 and found them within the first year. When you arrive at each store, be on the lookout for a display in a deep purple color that has the sales items on it, then a gift box beneath that usually in front of or behind that stand. If you have your FabFree group tag active, you can claim these boxed gifts for free, and this event is open until the 9th of August so you have sufficient time to visit all the stores you wish :) The website will guide you with landmarks and previews of most of the offerings. For tonight I wound up focused on tops, so pull out your favorite pants or skirts and get ready to pair them up!

My first look this evening is the Eclectic Stars - Natasha - Dream gift. This blousy purple t-shirt has a fun mermaid whale on the front above the words "dream big", something I strive to do everyday :) The gift includes Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. I already got a compliment (from Xan) for wearing this sweet treat, so I certainly do recommend claiming it. 

I also picked up the free gift from Corvus called Collect Cecile Top Gift. It says "I collect dead things" across the front, and fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I like the cropped style and cuffed sleeves very much, and now I'm wondering what sort of dead things I should start collecting...we are probably all safer if I stick to collecting high quality freebies and bargains ;)

Next I changed into the Tastic-Crazy BFF Top-Gift, and I can neither confirm nor deny that I am in fact the crazy BFF ;) I might drive Xan up a wall when I feel the need to click everything we see in SL that says not to touch, does that count? Our gift includes sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

What more perfect gift for the FabFree at Fifteen event could there be than a shirt that says FAB? This is The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. FAB Tee, a comfy tank top provided in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. 

One more look this evening, we have the Glitter gift called Luana Top Fitmesh Strong Colors. There are Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes included, with a 6 color HUD so you can choose your favorite hue. The style is unique, with a single long sleeve but both shoulders bared, and the sleeveless side being cinched and tied with a loose bow. As with all of tonight's looks, I am wearing the white jeans from my favorite marketplace freebie, Delizio's fatpack of jeans in several colors as system/BOM layers and appliers for Maitreya and Omega. 

This evening certainly took a weird turn, thanks in part to a 40-minute internet outage that delayed this post a bit. I was still very much in the beginning of blogging when it went down, so I had to practice a lot of patience while waiting for its return. It was something on their end and affecting way more than just me, so there was nothing I could do about it. I am also mad at my favorite hockey team for making dumb decisions about trades and getting rid of players, but that is just part of sports I suppose. Get in the Miix

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are heading to the Miix Event, which is open until the 20th of February so plenty of time to visit their Valentine's round and treat yourself. There are specially priced offers at every display, and are many group gifts as well for their Hype Events group (free to join). I noticed several tattoos that could be unisex, in addition to a gift or two of clothing for the guys, so please don't assume this is a ladies only affair :) The group gifts are found in stacks of alphabet blocks that spell out LOVE, which I think is a perfect choice for a February event round.

My first look this evening combines two thoughtful group gifts, and I am very pleased with the results :) The tops are from the . Yami Yurei . T-Shirt Jessy gift, which consists of 6 versions each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. The one on the left is called S-girl and I'm wearing Fish on the right. The halter harness is built into all versions, and I like the way the left side is knotted up high to show off a flash of belly. The lovely skirt is the [FLIRT] Valentine's Day Skirt - GIFT, a mauve high waisted mini in Cinnamon, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn body sizing. The seams help it hug our curves, and the delicate polka dot texture is a very pretty touch. 

I chose the Black version of the Yami Yurei gift shirt to wear with this next gift from [Luxury] called Love Skirt. It is a daringly short, pale denim mini skirt with the word Love among hearts and bows/arrows on its texture, very timely and cute :) The gift includes sizes for Altamura, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Signature Alice, TMP, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh bodies. 

Do you need a hug? If so, please claim the *KR* gift which is this precious LOVE ME TEDDY BEAR PINK. There are versions with and without the heart particles included, both with this built in hold pose. I couldn't resist sharing a snapshot of the one with particles of course, amid a cloud of bright pink hearts, but even if you prefer not to poof hearts your 'without' version has the same texturing with large hearts on the paws, belly, and even cheeks as blush.

Next I had some fun experimenting with love potions, thanks to {Cleo Designs} and their Potion Bottle gift. There are 4 versions each with and without particles so a total of 8 bottles included, and I must admit that the particles look better in person than in a still photo. They have a swirling magic quality that you'll want to see in person :) Each bottle has a holding pose built in as demonstrated above, and a little tag to label them. Personally I think I would do well in Potions class at Hogwarts, as long as the teacher wasn't a bully of course. 

My final look offers a sentiment that I expect many of you will share, at least in part, since video games are fun year-round. The dress is our Videogames Sweaterdress gift from Corvus, with slits on the hips and long crimson sleeves that contrast the black body of the dress wonderfully. The front reads "V is for Valentine Video Games", and if you do not have a valentine this year it would be tempting to plunge into a virtual world of a video game. Even if you do have a valentine, time spent gaming can also be shared or just appreciated as a hobby with or without your sweetheart. Now on the right you'll notice a heart in my hand, and that is another Miix group gift for us to enjoy. It's the Magnetic - My Heart is Yours treat, and all you have to do is right click - add to hold it with its built in bento pose. Then you can click to turn on or off the heart particles that float rather far away from our hands/body to really spread the love. If you're all particled out, LOL, just click and turn it off, easy peasy. 

This evening I became aware of another weather event coming up that might delay my birthday dinner again, since Friday looks like it will have dangerous ice conditions that would prevent being able to get anywhere safely. I am naturally disappointed since I enjoy spending time with my parents (oddity, I know LOL) and was looking forward to that Pad Thai for last week that was thwarted. Mother Nature thinks I should not celebrate this year I guess. However my hockey team won a second game in a row (after 13 losses) tonight so that was certainly more positive :) I hope you're all having a terrific day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Beauty Event Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the May/June round of the Beauty Sales Event, which is open until the 11th of June and is their first anniversary round. This means there are lots of generous gifts for their group members, and the extra good news is that their group is free to join. When you arrive you will probably receive a message from a greeter with an invitation to join, and they will also tell you that there are exclusive offers and $77L special selections from each designer. There are two full rooms with the second room having a small upstairs area, which makes for over 100 participating stores! I am certainly a fan, and eager to show you a sampling of the celebratory gifts this evening which are mostly found in black gift boxes with pale golden ribbons. If you left-click one that says not for sale, just right click - touch and you will still be able to receive the contents. 

My first look is our group gift from Infinite called Leather Dress - CHOCOLATE. Its side slits and back are laced up loosely to reveal some skin beneath, and the color really does have a rich chocolatey tone to it. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. 

For this look I combined two gifts that were clearly meant to be worn together, found at different displays. They are the Maccini - Pisa Top - Avocado - v1.0 and the same style Pisa Shorts. Each is provided in Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, with Legacy Perky and Maitreya Petite versions of the top too. They have a cute pattern of cheerful avocadoes with pink heart-shaped pits, and the shorts are trimmed in matching pink. Be sure to visit both Maccini displays to complete this look. 

.:S&B:. has a lovely strapless dress named Minita as our gift, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, and even one standard fitted version for classic avatars. The lilac colored mini is decorated with flowers, and white trim at each hem, for beautiful effect. I think the neckline trim helps draw attention to the other gift I've added here, the Corvus : Melodies Tattoo Bom. As you can tell from the name, this body art comes in a system/BOM layer so you can wear it with classic avatars or any BOM-compatible mesh body. It reads "I like beautiful melodies telling me terrible things" which is very thought provoking. 

I was still on a purple kick when I slipped into this Helena Suit 20 gift from [[Good Girl]]. Its fluttery top and low slung shorts are each provided in Legacy and Maitreya sizing with Perky and Petite versions for the shirt, all gently tied with loose bows. The texture looks like a soft knit fabric, very snuggly and comfortable.

For my final look of the evening, I chose to provide a closer look at the nails I've been enjoying throughout these photos :) They are the [LERONSO] Mesh stiletto nails "Wildflowers" gift, and as you can see they are much longer than most mesh bodies' default nails and taper to a thin sharp point. The gift includes sizes for Belleza, eBody, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Slink, and Star bodies, with a 6 color HUD to change the look of these stunning nails. The design of pressed flowers looks great in any of the color options, and since they change all at once I took two images and combined them to show you more than just one hue. 

It was a windy, rainy weekend with much cooler temperatures than typical for my area, but I stayed inside the whole time and worked on resting and recuperating. I am feeling mostly better, with a still irritated throat that could be from allergies but fewer headaches which is always a relief. I am looking forward to the new week and soon a new month, which always brings excitement to SL with rounds of hunts and events. Marketplace Monday

Hiya everyone! After a busy weekend and with SL acting a bit quirky, I figured it was a good day to browse the Marketplace for free treats to share. I definitely found plenty, so let's get to it, shall we?

I was feeling a bit saucy, so my first find suited that mood to a T, it's the Rose Vines Dress from Corvus. I love the design, with a great rear view along with looking terrific from the front. This comes in 5 sizes, and is absolutely free on the Marketplace.

If you like to have a wide variety of sizes available to you, this dress is a terrific find. This is *dafnis anastacia and comes in 5 classic sizes, 5 fitmesh, 5 busty, Belleza, Slink, Maitreya 1 and 2 versions. Those are some impressive options! I am showing you the medium sizes in classic and busty above, and am sure you can tell which is which ;) My avatar's general frame isn't particularly suited for the busty shape, but that will look amazing on the right avatar.

Here we have 2 great marketplace free gifts, starting with the beautiful dress and shoes. This is the EX Blush Dress - Pink Grey Snowflake Xmas Gift, and it comes in standard mesh sizes plus the shoes for Slink high feet. This style is a favorite of mine, and the snowflakes are a sweet touch. As for my jewelry, they are a versatile beauty of a gift from RealEvil Industries called Orbit Set. You will find both bracelets and the necklace, along with the HUD with 3 metal colors and 3 pearl colors. Another useful feature on the HUD is the full bright on/off, which I turned on for the photos and found it very helpful. 

I am wrapping up the post with this dazzler from Dani's Designs, their Frosted dress with lots of additions included. This is a great gift for a new resident as it includes not only the shoes shown, but several things not shown here like a pair of blue eyes, French manicure gloves for the classic avatar hands, lip gloss and lashes tattoo layers, and even a facelight with HUD. I'd be tempted to share this link with any new residents I run into, because we all deserve to look pretty.

Nail note of the night: same nails as last night, the wonderful La Boheme hunt prize nails I'd blogged originally 2 days ago called LB Nirvana Silver, from the Newify Your Body Hunt. They go with everything and look stunning, so it was a no-brainer for an easy Monday :)

I spent a lot more time than intended limping around 5 stores (original plan was one store) so what I lack in energy right now, I still make up for in enthusiasm for wanting to create a fun post that gives you ideas and helps you find something pretty and affordable to wear.
