FLF-o-Ween Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am inviting you to the Fifty Linden Fridays event called FLF-o-Ween. It is open until the end of the month and has $50L offers galore, along with group gifts (FLF group is free to join) inside various colored carved pumpkins. There is a little something for everyone, with lots of seasonal decor among the clothing and accessories. We can save lots of lindens while treating ourselves for Trick or Treat season :)

My first look this evening is the Valentina E. Tabitha Dress Boo! gift, a soft flowing style that fits the Maitreya Lara body. It is peppered with ghosts and bats, and has a really appealing single long sleeve contrasting the bare right shoulder. All you have to do is join the free group and click the pumpkin at their display to receive it.

I combined two gifts to create this look, starting with the Cropped Tee Halloween ((lara)) from Nectarine. It says "spooky" on the front with the image of a bat, and is a soft mauve color. As the name suggests, it fits the Maitreya Lara mesh body. The pants are the Jeune by Rowne.Enza High Rise Skinny - Olive gift, with lots of sheen in the design of traditional jeans. They come in Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The olive is a dark enough shade of greenish grey to almost look black, making it a very fun neutral that goes with many of your favorite tops.

Another top that I love for this season is the friday - Eva Sweatshirt (BOO) group gift. It includes Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, with long sleeves that extend past the hands. I had a thought that this could be used as a very low-key Halloween costume if you have a dry sense of humor :) 

If you are feeling more formal but still need something spooky, how about this flirty Sally Dress Bloody Special gift from {le fil casse}? It is daringly cut to reveal the entire left leg, with a halter top and splashes of blood that might make people wonder what you have been doing. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies.

My final look of the night is a closeup of the e.marie // Mix&Match Coffin Nails gift that I have been enjoying in these photos. Their coffin shape certainly is appropriate, and the length appeals to me as being longer than typical for built in nails but not excessive or what some might call 'scary' ;) These mesh nails are very easy to wear, just use the HUD for your mesh body and hide its included nails, then add these in the correct size. They come in Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, Slink, and Vista hand versions, each with and without materials. The HUD provided is how we can mix and match, with 4 textures and an area to select/unselect each nail. Get creative and have fun!

Group Gifts by Rowne

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have several treats from Rowne for their free group members. There are a dozen gifts available, all you need to do is have their group tag active and click each gift box for a Rowne or Jeune by Rowne reward. Their style is quite elegant, with many unique designs in chic colors, and these gifts are an excellent sampling of that. I first became familiar with the Rowne brand at various events, and was so impressed with what I saw that I just had to visit their main store to check things out.

First we take a look at the beautiful Jeune by Rowne.Kate Velvet Dress - Red. This group gift comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a fantastic texture and wrap style that clings in all the right places. The red color reminds me of a garnet gemstone (my RL birthstone), deep and vivid.

I have also seen garnets in this darker shade of the red family :) This is Jeune by Rowne.Zoe Strap Dress - Oxblood, and it is a formfitting dress with wonderful details. The side slit could be practical to make walking easier in such a tight skirt, but at that height it also provides bonus sex appeal. The gift includes Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. 

Yes, I did find another gift in red, but I promise they aren't all the same color! This dramatic look is their group gift called Jeune by Rowne.Dasha Wrap Dress - Red, and it comes in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The long sleeves and nearly ankle length skirt are balanced by flashes of leg and cleavage, for a very flattering overall look. I paired this with another group gift, the Rowne Jai Classic Pumps - Deluxe. There are sizes for Maitreya and Slink high feet included, with a 15 color HUD so you can match or contrast any outfit splendidly. All colors have a red sole for a dash of color and probably a nod to a famous RL shoe brand ;) 

If you are in the mood for a pantsuit with a difference, I suggest claiming their Rowne.Alla Top & Xinyu Trousers - Grey group gift. The top is crafted like a tube top with an added single long sleeve, whose fabric is a perfect match for the high waisted trousers. My final look of the evening is a more formal one, with a flirty feature. It is called Rowne.Odiele Organza Dress - Leather, and the bodice reminds me of a rose with a petal folded down to reveal a sheer panel. The slit all the way up the right thigh is a sensual touch too for sure. 

I had a good time visiting the farmers market earlier in excellent weather, and was able to get lots of delicious food for the upcoming week. More Uber Birthday Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more Uber birthday gifts to see, and I am delighted to remind you that these are all totally free with no group tag needed. Just visit the Uber event or one of the camera shopping sims (Harajuku and Cam Sim) and use your camera controls to zoom over and click all the gift boxes which are decorated with floating black and gold balloons. All the designers who are taking part in this round of the event have a gift along with their usual sales offerings, and I always enjoy seeing an event celebrating a milestone in SL. I guess I find it reassuring that they have been successful for several years :) This round is open until the 22nd of September, and it just opened a few days ago so it is still fairly crowded. You might need to try at a less busy time if you cannot get into any of the sims, it took me a few hours over the course of 2 days to be fortunate enough to claim an opening.

For my first look, I wound up combining 4 generous Uber gifts. The top is the For the Crew Top - Black Latex from Cynful, which comes in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. The halter style looks wonderful with the sheen of the latex. Since it has hints of red, I paired it with the Jeune by Rowne.Mara Jersey Skirt - Red. This sexy mini is provided in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes, and has a flirty zipper in the back. In a delightful coincidence, it matches the gift from DIRTY PRINCESS perfectly! That would be their Famous Princess heels, in Maitreya and Legacy sizing, strappy sandals with uniquely shaped stiletto heels. I also added some jewelry, the Cae Malia Bracelet pair which as you will see are quite versatile. We receive the left and right versions with a HUD that offers 6 metals for each section of the doubled up bracelet, 20 gemstones and 15 colors for the smaller faceted gems that are shaped like an eye around one of the larger stones. I did a closeup view in the inset above so you could see that a little better, picking random colors to show the differences.

[[ Masoom ]] has a lovely gift for us too, their Imogen Suit - Olive bodysuit. It includes a sheer version (right) as well as a solid version, each sized for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The loose fitting belt is attached to each, and the side view really shows those dramatic leg slits that make me think of a genie. The texture has some shimmer to it too, so pretty!

Another beautiful look here, thanks to the dress from Pink Cream Pie called !PCP Tori Dress [Lilac]. The plunging neckline slit is laced with matching cords, and those same strands appear crisscrossed in the back as well. Our gift comes in sizes for Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite, with a HUD to change the panties (they are built in and not visible from this angle) to your pick of 20 colors. I also chose an accessory for this style, the EQUAL - Duality Necklace which has a built in resize script. The duality comes from the left half of golden links, the right being snowy pearls strung together, with a gold pendant dangling from the front center. This is easily adjustable for your size or shape.

What better way to celebrate a summer Uber birthday than with swimwear? This gift comes from Bombshell and is their July / Sky suit, in two versions as seen above. The one on the right is labeled AP for each size, so I will guess that stands for animal print with those familiar leopard spots. Each version includes Freya, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizing. I really like the single shoulder style, and those peekaboo cutouts...dare I say *rawr*? 

My final look of the evening is the oh-so-charming Neve gift, their Croissant Dress. This beauty comes in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Legacy, and Legacy Perky body sizing. There is also a HUD included with 4 texture choices, each an ombre with matching metal for the belt and straps, with an on/off option for shine. The one I am wearing on the left above reminds me of either a sunrise or sunset, and the high waist with flowing short skirt makes me think of a modern take on a toga. 

The weekend is almost here, and I am looking forward to it for sure. Tomorrow I will enjoy dinner with my parents, and then Saturday will be the farmers market and probably a return of hockey. I understand why the NHL felt the need to cancel their games too, and I am sad that the players are stuck in a bubble away from their families for a little longer because of it but this nation is deeply troubled and they needed to make a statement. I support peaceful protests, as that is how people can make their voices heard. I try to keep my blog as neutral as possible, but human lives should not be a political issue and should all be protected. Many magical magpie hugs to all of you!!

On9 Anniversary Hunt Prizes

Hiya everyone! I have some gorgeous gifts to show you tonight from the On9 event, who are celebrating their first anniversary with a hunt :) When you arrive at the event, you'll see that most of the displays have a cute pink and blue cupcake somewhere for you to click, and a couple of them actually had their prizes there but most of them will give you a folder with a LM and a hint notecard. I collected all the folders and headed around the grid to find the cupcakes in each store, and the prizes are wonderful! Let's have a look at some...

First we have the gift from LAVIAN, their Essentials Kitty Come Home, which includes the jeans in standard and fitted mesh sizes plus Belleza, Hourglass, Slink, and Maitreya, and the peplum top in standard sizes. There is also a terrific HUD with 36 colors for the top and bottom portions of the shirt, so you can mix and match to your heart's content. 

Next we have this adorable dress from GizzA, simply called On9 Anniversary Dress, provided in standard mesh sizes with a few alpha variations. I am wondering if chevron patterns like this are going to be a big trend, as I am seeing them more often and enjoying them. My pretty hoop earrings are the prize from [LAKSHMI] called 1st Anniversary Earrings, and the bright floral accents can go with a wide variety of outfits. 

For this look, I was lucky enough to find an amazing match between two prizes! The stunning dress is the Alexandra Ruffle Dress in Winterberry, our prize from Jeune by Rowne. It comes in standard mesh sizes with 2 different arm locks to keep your upper arms down through the ruffles. My advice for finding this prize is that I either landed in or directly in front of the Rowne store, but the Jeune by Rowne store is actually next door, so make sure you're in the correct store :) The shoes by R.icielli are a surprisingly good match, they are Verena High Heels in Pink and are provided in Belleza, Maitreya, Slink (shown), and TMP sizes to suit nearly everyone's feet. 

My last look of the night is another duo of prizes, another pairing I greatly enjoyed. The dress is the Mesh Baby Bye Dress Black by Lolita, and comes in many sizes including standard, fitted, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. We all could use a sleek black dress :) Meanwhile those killer shoes are courtesy of Garbaggio, their Studded Pumps in Hard Candy. I love the way the little studs really do look like pastel candies, so fun!

Nail note of the night: I am wearing a few different options from a $5L clearance sale HUD from LIVIA, this is Sun Ray Nails HUD for Slink and Omega and has several colors with a gold tip and tiny rays like sunshine radiating from the tips. They have I believe 13 HUDs in their clearance sale, plenty of choices and their regular prices are quite reasonable so this is just icing on the cake.
