Friday FabFree

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we head into the weekend with some wonderful gifts for the FabFree in SL group, which I periodically share since lots more are added all the time. I'll be back to many of these stores soon too as they are doing another hunt this month, yay! For now everything featured are group gifts (not hunt prizes) available with their "I'm Fabulous" group tag active. It's always free to join, and one of those special groups that will always have a home among my group slots :) Even when RL gets chaotic, I know I can count on the fine folks at FabFree, both the blog and the group, to help me find free or affordable treats to give my avatar a fresh new look. 

My first stop today was HORL, where I happily picked up their Greta Dress gift for FabFree. This sweet ruffled minidress has a pretty plaid pattern, and a deep V neckline for a touch of sass. There are Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes included. I don't see monochromatic plaid too often and I must say that I am a fan!

Another place I just had to visit was Emerald Couture, where I found this charming EC Valentina Dress Pink gift. The dress and gray belt each come in standard mesh sizes along with versions for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Because of their vendor system, you'll need to right click and pay $1L but it will be immediately refunded to you while the gift is delivered. I know that the heart shaped cutout was probably meant for a couple of weeks ago, lol, but I am a big fan of hearts for any time of year :)

[K-Style] has a treat for us behind their front counter (with other gifts, just look for the rainbow FabFree logo) called DEMETRA DRESS #10. It has such a cheerful, bright orange hue, and that flirty style! This is guaranteed to turn heads wherever you decide to wear it. We receive Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this sexy little number. 

The beautiful, versatile Mangula Sexy and Divine Set / Dress - [Vino] can be yours just for visiting the FAGA hair store with your FabFree tag active. Why Faga, you ask? Well, the designer stopped creation fashions to focus on hair, so Mangula is basically retired but there are a few gifts remaining as you can see :) We can wear the dress with or without the sleeves as they are a separate piece, and all are provided for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. There are panties built in too, as there is a HUD included with 32 colors to choose from for said panties and the option to hide them. 

My final look of the evening is a stunning dress from Basalia's Fine Fashions called BFF Fayes sweater dress FP with 20 texture HUD. It is designed specifically to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and the aforementioned HUD has a mix of various patterns and ombres for us to select from. The ombre I chose on the left is the whole dang rainbow almost, lol, as I was craving bright colors. 

I went to my parents' at dinnertime to visit but didn't feel up to eating, as my anxiety was pretty elevated, but it was nice to see them. I missed part of the hockey game I wanted to see, but then its ending was so ugly for my team that I wish I'd missed the end instead of the beginning ;) The housemate allegedly heard a mouse downstairs, so I was summoned down to act as an emotional support human I guess? It's not like I could scare the mouse away or catch it with my bare hands or anything, shrug. My weekend should be quiet until Sunday afternoon, when I am dreading my therapy session where I confess my failures and see what happens from there. Fabulously Free and Lucky

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood to explore some of FabFree's participating designer stores, especially since so many of them are generously offering gifts for FabFree group members. The group is free to join, and one of those special ones that will always have a home among my precious group slots as it has for many years. I have several group gifts to show you, as well as a lucky board prize I won while visiting one of the stores, so it was a lucky kind of day.

My first look comes from {Poeme} and is their Gingham Minis 3-Pack for the FabFree group. Its mini dresses called Check Me Out come in blue, green (left above) and pink (right) each in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizing. Gingham reminds me of picnics which in turn makes me think of summer, so the timing of picking up this gift is ideal.

My next stop was Mangula, where I found not just one but two FabFree group gifts. This is their chic Paula Set Sleeveless Dress [Black] gift, which comes in eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD for the attached belt that offers 20 colors for the belt itself and 5 metals for the buckle. The neutral black dress means that any color you choose for the belt is going to look terrific with it.

The other Mangula gift is called Adele Set Short Dress [Black], and as you can see it has distinctly flirty details. The dress and bralette are separate pieces so you can wear the dress with or without, while the belt is built in. They are each provided in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a HUD that offers 20 colors each for the bralette, belt, and the built in panties. I appreciate the ability to match the bralette to the belt or to choose different colors for more variety in one look. 

Tiar is where I claimed this adorable FabFree gift called Trampe, a comfy t-shirt style dress in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. It has a cheerful rabbit on the front, and daring side slits that go almost all the way up :) If you wanted to wear this out and about, I would suggest layering your favorite jeans, pants, leggings, or even shorts beneath.

My final look of the evening is also from Tiar, from a lucky board located in the same room as the various group gifts. It is called Punk Girl and is a single piece with the appearance of two, well three if you count the belt ;) It is created to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and is all in black for a well put together appearance. There is a pocket on the front of the skirt but none on the rear, and I like the way the left strap of the top has slipped off the shoulder. 

Wow, we are almost to the midway point of the week! Time has moved so slowly lately that I am feeling surprised that it is almost Wednesday. It was a quiet day, and I expect the next few days to become a bit busier especially once the weekend is here. My parents' wedding anniversary was Monday, so we are probably celebrating that on Friday with our usual dinner together. I enjoy picking nice greeting cards for special occasions like this, the more mushy the better, since we aren't the type to talk about our feelings out loud. Mangula Subscriber Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am sharing some subscriber gifts from Mangula, who are very generous towards their subscribers as you will see. Joining their subscriber list is free and does not take up a group slot, and the gifting scripts in their store will recognize that you are on the list and distribute the gifts when you click their pictures. Something nice I have noticed is that they send notices only when really necessary, so they are not frequent or repeated in a way that makes one feel bombarded. Their fashions are mainly designed in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite bodies, and I will note for the one gift that has a change from that. 

My first look is the Mangula Powerfull Girl Set [GIFT] which consists of the Blouse Blue 1, Skirt Rose, and Lingerie Rose. The skirt includes a HUD with 32 colors and 6 metals for the belt, which is a built in feature that I think looks lovely. The lingerie is a pairing of corset top and thong panties, both of which I am wearing on the right without the blouse or skirt atop them so you can see their style. Pretty and sexy!

This flirty set is the Mangula Sexy and Chic - Set Gift, which certainly lives up to its name. It includes the Bralette and Sweater in Black, as well as the shorts in Blue 2 which are packed with belt and chain in the same sizes that Mangula creates along with a HUD with 32 colors and 6 metals for chain and belt. Wear the chain instead of the belt or wear just the belt, it's all up to you :) The black skirt also comes with belt and chain separately, and the same 32 color/6 metal HUD so you can change up the look of your belt and chain with a few simple clicks. 

I couldn't resist the Mangula Always Free Set - Gift, which is relatively simple while being ideal for the warm months ahead. The top and shorts each include a HUD to choose from 2 styles; for the top it is transparent or solid for the midriff, and the shorts can be worn classic or ripped via their HUD. One of the fun aspects of neutral colored clothing is that you can accessorize in so many different ways, depending on your mood or where you are headed. 

All I need here is a full head of wild curls and I will be ready for an 80s party! This is the Mangula Summer Party - Set [GRAN PACK] subscriber gift, and it consists of several components with fantastic HUDs. Our dress is the sheer star-studded mini I am wearing over the other pieces - the top and panties on the left, and bodysuit to the right. Their HUD offers 32 colors each for the dress, belt, top, panties, bodysuit, and tie which is a small bow on the front of the bodysuit. The boots and socks have a HUD too, 32 colors each for 4 different sections of the boot plus the sole, rope (laces) and socks. I mixed things up to show you the various sections but you can just as easily choose the same color for every piece of the boot to get a uniform look if you wish. 

My final look of the evening is the subscriber gift called Mangula Daring Girl Set & Heels - [GRAN PACK]. There is a universal HUD for the dress, bodysuit, and top (not shown but the same style as the bodice of both seen above) with 32 colors each for the bodysuit, skirt, and panties which are built into the dress (right). The laced up boots come in short, medium (right), and long (left) varieties, and their HUD offers 32 colors each for laces 1 and 2 as well as the heels. There are also 6 metals, as you can see there is a zipper in the back and the grommets (?) where the laces go through. My best advice is to click various buttons and see what changes, until you get the look you wish :) In addition to the usual Mangula sizes of Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite, there are Kupra sizes for each piece of this set. 

It was a long day with nice weather, and I had a long overdue chiropractor visit that should help ease some of my aches and pains. My neck was in bad shape which was causing headaches, and we all know how unpleasant those can be so it is wonderful to have relief :) He also worked on my wrist, which gets wonky from my mouse usage. All in all it was a productive visit, and I stopped a few other places to do fun things like grocery shopping. *eyeroll* It may not be exciting but it certainly is necessary. Shop and Hop Goes Golden

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time to visit the Golden sim/region, one of 8 that are part of the Valentine's Shop & Hop event. Many of your favorite designers (and perhaps future new favorites?) are offering discounted selections and free gifts, so it is a terrific way to save some lindens and prepare for the holiday. I always enjoy these Shop & Hop events, as you never know what surprises you will find and the regions are decorated beautifully for each season.

My first look is the [[Masoom]] Sakura Dress Gift, which comes in aqua and pink versions. Each is provided in Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizing, with wrap skirt and strapless style. Either ombre color is a great choice for a night out. 

Next I was delighted to try on the Tabitha Dress - Lips Red, which is our gift from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. It is included in Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizes, with a 9 color HUD for the belt. The lips on the skirt are a fun detail for Valentine's, and the bold red shade is perfect. 

I combined two gifts here, so let's take it from the top which would be the UnderTONEs gift :) They are offering their BOMS SLB Cami Gift Bra for all visitors, and it comes in a system/BOM layer as the name implies. The snowy white color means it will go with nearly anything you decide to wear with it, and I think it looks especially cute with the adorsy - Shop and Hop Gift Pants. These low cut pants have strings to help hold them onto our hips, and are provided in Legacy and Maitreya sizing. There is a HUD included too, with 10 textures that feature plenty of Valentine's themed hearts and such, but you can wear most of the textures year-round.

Mangula was feeling extra generous, as they are offering us two wonderful gifts! This is their Zoe Set Gift which consists of the top, sleeves, and capris each in eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing. The top can be worn with or without the poofy sleeves, and the capris fall just below the knee for a fun spring or autumn feeling. 

My final look of the evening is the other Mangula gift called Sexy and Chic - Set Gift. There are lots of components, all in the same sizing as the prior outfit's pieces, to be mixed and matched however you like. We receive the lacy black bralette, the fishnet sweater, cutoff jeans shorts with belt and chain, and wrap skirt with belt and chain. There are HUDs provided with the skirt and shorts, with 32 color choices for the belt and 6 metal tones. Imagine all the possibilities!

My appointment with my doctor went decently earlier, with the result being she prescribed a few things (medication and at-home treatments) and referred me to not one but two specialists for different minor surgical procedures. Both of those will have to wait because we have more snow rolling in, unless somehow one can sneak me in before Friday. The snow storm arrives Saturday evening, so at least there is a few days gap. The hockey game I was going to watch was postponed because of covid protocols, two players on the team are quarantined for possible exposure but are not infected as far as we know. This was always a possibility for this season since it is not in a bubble like last season's playoffs. Since this is starting to sound pretty dreary, I will wrap this up with a reassurance that I am trying to remain as positive as I can, and I have confidence that things will work out in the long run. Free Is Fabulous

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I realized I had not shared any FabFree group gifts in quite a while, so off I went to explore their gift listing and then visit some wonderful stores with my "I am Fabulous" group tag active. The FabFree in SL group is the inworld presence of the blog of the same name, which has been a very useful guide to my entire time in SL really with its information about gifts and sales and special events. FabFree has stood the test of time in an environment where things can change rapidly, and I appreciate being able to rely on them for so long. Naturally the group is free to join, and you can usually find the gifts by looking for the rainbow hued logo on a sign near each gift. Clicking the sign will offer the link to join the FabFree group, just in case you haven't become a part of the community yet. They will always have a place among my most prized group slots ♥.

My first stop was NUTS Inc, where I eagerly claimed their flirty Sarai Romper gift for FabFree. This designer has handy delivery HUDs, where you click the logo of the brand of body you wear and will receive a folder of just that size/s. So there are buttons for classic, Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus), Legacy, Maitreya (Lara), Slink (Hourglass, Physique), and Tonic (Curvy, Fine). Each folder contains the outfit along with a 6 color HUD so you can change the look to suit your mood or to match your favorite accessories. 

ALB also has a treat for FabFree group members, their JANTJE outfit leo by AnaLee Balut. I have seen references to using leopard print as a neutral, so seeing it paired with vibrant red feels like such a fun idea :) The top and pants are each provided in classic sizes (S, M, L, and a classic Fitmesh) as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions. They are each unique designs, with the straps and belt of the shirt and the flared legs with embellished holes alongside front slits at each hem. 

I then stopped by MOoH! where I found this playful Rebecca Outfit on the wall at the far end of their courtyard from the landing area. It consists of the corset dress with ruffles on top and buckled straps below, in standard mesh sizes plus eBody Classic, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body sizing. There is also a HUD for our dress with 6 color choices, all variations of the black plaid on the ruffle and the skirt. The matching solid black thigh socks are provided too, in a standard size as well as ones for all the same bodies as the dress. There are alpha layers for both the dress and socks, so you can hide anything that pokes through on your classic avatar or BOM mesh body. 

Another generous store is Mangula, where I was able to claim this pretty Alba Set Dress [White] by the front door with my FabFree group tag active. It is a body conscious mini dress with V neck that has 4 buttons, and the gift includes a HUD with 20 color choices for those buttons. The dress itself comes in eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. 

My final look this evening is courtesy of GeMyles, where you too can claim their FabFree gift called Mila Flounce Mini Dress. It includes standard mesh sizes plus a fitted version (shown) and Slink sizes for Hourglass and Physique bodies, with a matching pair of Slink high shoes that are not shown here. The fitted mesh worked quite well with the Maitreya body, and I used the alpha (BOM) layer instead of trying to use individual sections on the alpha tab of the Maitreya HUD to make it fit even better. This second instance of animal print in one post is making me so happy, and did you notice these spots are heart shaped? CUTE! 

It was a quiet Sunday here, and I am curious to see what the week ahead holds both in RL and SL. There are always new rounds of events and hunts, not to mention all the various group gifts around the grid to enjoy, and as far as RL I do not have anything specific planned this week which is promising for SL adventures. Mangula Gifts

Hiya everyone! For all of tonight's looks, we visit Mangula who have several gifts available for their subscribers at the moment. No group tag needed, just accept to receive their subscriber notices and you will be able to claim lots of generous gifts. I enjoy their general style, with coordinated outfits that have plenty of HUDs to adjust colors on components of the clothing. Versatility will always catch my attention in a very good way, and this store tends to have a lot of items for sale (such as for the Saturday Sale) so you can load up your wardrobe even on a budget. All of their clothing comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies unless otherwise noted.

This first set is their gift called Mangula Violet Set & Heels [MEGA PACK], and it does indeed have a full range of colors and options for us. The long dress, short dress, a matching top (not shown) and sleeves are each provided in their usual sizes as mentioned above, with a HUD to choose from 20 colors each for the dresses, top, sleeves, panties, and ties for the back. Our heels include a HUD with the same 20 colors to choose from, for the boot (back of shoe, the part that is blue on the right to match the short dress), heel, and rope which would be the straps across the foot. You can get really creative here, and it is great to have the option of a more formal long gown or a flirty mini, with or without the sleeves.

I am about to show my age here, LOL, but trying on this Mangula Summer Party Set - [GRAN PACK] immediately gave me 80s Madonna vibes! We have a sheer dress with star pattern plus a top, panties, and bodysuit for layering beneath, all with a HUD to choose from 32 colors for each piece plus the belt (attached to the dress) and tie on the front of the panties, plus 6 metals for the belt. Then we can unpack the footwear, which consists of rugged high heeled boots and fishnet socks with a 32 color HUD to tint 4 parts of the boots along with sole, rope, and socks. I had a lot of fun playing with these HUDs, and wore the boots without the socks on the right to show that they look just as good without as with. On the left I layered the top and panties beneath our see-through dress, while on the right you can see the bodysuit peeking through the sheer fabric.

Time to look pretty in pink, with the gift called Mangula Sara Set Top, Short [Rose]. The top comes in a sleeveless version as well as the one I am wearing on the right above with detached looking sleeves, and the high waisted shorts are a perfect match. The HUD included offers 20 colors each for the lace on the top and shorts, and 6 metals each for the zipper and its zipper pull. I really like the style of this outfit, flirty but still appropriate to wear anywhere.

I tend to think about clothing as formal or casual, flirty or modest, and public wear or private wear...and we deserve to have lots of selections in our inventories of all categories. So be sure to pick up this private wear treat, the Mangula Angela Set Lingerie, for those times when the dress code is intimate. The bra, panties, corset, and garter belt are all included in their usual sizing (eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya) for those popular mesh bodies. The pearly white shade is lovely, and the lace is quite sheer so I found just the right pose to display the outfit without showing off too much ;) 

For my final look of the night, I claimed this sweet subscriber gift called Mangula Amelia Set Sweater & Dress [Barrio 1]. It is a single layered piece with the appearance of a sweater over a shirt dress, and comes in their usual set of sizes. There is also a HUD provided with 20 color selections each for the skirt, buttons, and fly. I chose a pink that matches the top for the buttons on the left, but other great options are to blend them in with whatever skirt color you pick, or a silver or gold to mimic metal. 

It was an unusual day since I had a hockey game to watch finally, something you do not expect to happen in this kind of heat. It was an exhibition game, just to get the players used to being on the ice again probably, then the actual playoffs start this weekend. The team I root for won, so I am happy about that of course, and it was heartwarming to see the players doing what they love. Enticing and Fabulous

Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood to see some of the plentiful new gifts for the FabFree group, which is the in-world representation of the Fabulously Free in SL blog. I am a longtime avid fan and follower of the blog and member of their group, which is free to join (of course) and like the blog will provide information on sales and special events in addition to gifts. It is always useful to know where to find helpful tips like that, and having them organized in one easy to find place is a huge plus. So to claim all of their group gifts, you will need the "I am Fabulous" group tag active, which in itself is a fun motivation to join ;) 

My first look starts with the FabFree gift from Mangula, called Isla Set Sweater [Blue]. It comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. You can find it near the main entrance, to the left as you walk through the door with some other groups' gifts. Obviously I needed a bottom half to my outfit, so I chose the Entice - Never Surrender Pants - Set 2 Fatpack which is on sale at the Designer Showcase this round (until the 28th). If you love variety then this is a perfect choice, as there are 8 individual colors for sale for $99L apiece (regularly $200L each) and then the Fatpack has all 8 plus 2 bonus colors for a total of 10, then the HUD lets you color the main pants plus the waist, loops, pockets, and trim individually. The fatpack is half price too, $299L instead of the $599L regular retail, making these very affordable. I went with a single color for all the parts here, but kept these pants on for the next image...

Those Never Surrender Pants from Entice look great with the FabFree gift from Baby Monkey, their BM Sleeveless Shirt Floral. Their vendor system does require you to pay $1L but it will be automatically refunded while the gift is delivered, so yes it is still free :) The pretty blouse comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and will pair nicely with whatever you choose.

My next stop was [Vips Creations], where I was recently to claim their Stay at Home Club gifts, but tonight I was all about the FabFree gift called Green Rose Fab. It starts with the embroidered shirt in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies plus a fitted version for classic avatars, then continues with pants in system/BOM layers along with an Omega applier. The strappy sandals are included too, fitted for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. I didn't do this intentionally but I am enjoying the greens and florals of tonight's gifts, especially with Earth Day starting in mere hours.

Continuing with the beautiful earth tones, we have the gift from Artizana called Nansi VI - Blouse + Leggings. Right click the sign and pay $1L, which will be refunded automatically while the gift is delivered. This one piece outfit comes in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and has a built in belt of the same fabric as the poofy sleeved blouse. 

My final look this evening comes from CURELESS and is called Hekate Dress Holo. This shimmering mermaid gown has a low cut neckline and dramatic back with a lovely train, provided in Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, and Maitreya sizes. Hekate is the Greek goddess of magic and witchcraft, which is fitting since this texture is truly magical!

It was a fairly average day here, and I am fine with that :) I prefer almost boring days to the kind of excitement that happens lately, more like stressful situations. People in my state were protesting recently that they want things reopened and all restrictions lifted, but I am on the side of those who are focused on being protective of at-risk loved ones. One woman had a sign saying that she wants her hair cut, well that will never be more important than staying safe and alive. She must not have anyone in her life who is more valuable to her than a haircut, and that is just sad. I am happy about Earth Day and its 50th anniversary, since there are positive things we can all do to help the environment and improve the world around us, even during this pandemic. Hanging Onto Hope

Hiya everyone! Tonight I found myself back at Mangula, where the gifts and lucky boards are plentiful :) You don't even need to use a group slot, as these work with their subscriber system instead. When you click a group gift (the wall to the right of the lucky boards) or a lucky board, it verifies your subscriber status and then distributes your reward, easy peasy. I believe in the past I had shown you some of the lucky board prizes, but not the subscriber gifts, so for this post I chose a selection of both.

This first look is the Mangula Maia Set Nappy [Brown] romper, which I won from the lucky boards. It includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, in a deep chocolaty brown. The nap of a fabric refers to a plush surface like velvet, so the name makes me imagine this as delightfully soft.

Another treat you can win from the lucky boards is this playful Mangula Nela Set [M1 Turquoise] which consists of the top and skirt each in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya bodies. The cropped top has a bold zipper in front and 5 slender straps for each sleeve, and the especially short skirt has a belt with a HUD to choose between 2 belt colors and 2 metals for the buckle. 

Next we see the Mangula Tina Set Gift from the lucky boards, which includes a blouse, bralette, pantie, and shorts in their usual sizing (eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya). They are all in a soft beige color, and they have cute bows on each piece for which there are HUDs included offering 9 color choices. There are bits of intricate lace on each item too, very detailed which I appreciate.

Well, it was another unpleasant day on the news front, and I no longer have hockey to distract me since the NHL suspended their season. I was supposed to have a game to watch this evening, but the league's decision came first so no game. I understand why they had to do it, and am glad that it was precautionary rather than a result of someone in the NHL being infected. I am in a slight risk category thanks to asthma, but I promise I am being cautious :) Several people in my life have high blood pressure which puts them in a slight risk category too, so caution is the key. One of them used to make fun of me for washing my hands so often, but they are now singing a quite different tune.
