Happy Anniversary Jail Event

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to share some group gifts from the Jail Event, which is celebrating its 3rd anniversary this round. It is open until the end of the month, and the group is free to join with nearly every participating designer offering a gift. Particularly noteworthy is that there are plenty of gifts for male avatars, possibly more than for the ladies but I didn't specifically count them out to compare. This is excellent news for all the guys out there, as sometimes they are overlooked in events and just in general for clothing and accessories. It makes me very happy to be able to share news that benefits everyone and not just the gals!

My first look is the gift from [GIULIADESIGN] called Eusopia Purple. The vest style collared top and micro mini skirt are each provided in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The coordinated high heel mules with cork heels come in Maitreya and Slink High versions. I always appreciate having an outfit with matching shoes so I can get fully dressed in a cinch.

This striking gown is the Amalia gift from CHARME. It is crafted of embossed velvet in regal purple, with deep V neckline and crossed rear straps with a short train on its mermaid skirt. It is included in a fitted version for classic avatars, plus Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing for mesh bodies. 

Another fun gift can be found at the Deadly Deed display, a full outfit called {DDD} Love Jeans Set. It consists of a fringed crop vest, tank top, and shorts with slender belt, which are all linked together and worn as one piece in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, and Maitreya bodies. This is such a fun style, and those shorts are particularly cheeky ;)

I am also very grateful for the Ariel Dress-Black gift from Simply Saddii. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. The style combines a tight strapless mini dress with a sheer textured layer that has a high-low hemline. You can add just about any style of shoe that you like, and your favorite jewelry, then you are all set for a hot date.

My final look of the evening brings some bold color :) It is the Bartimeu gift called Lua Body Fatpack, and our bodysuit with matching embroidered belt and playful side cutouts comes in sizes for Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. There is also a HUD included with 6 colors to choose from, making this as versatile as it is flirty. I tend to view bodysuits as potential swimsuits as well, so I will happily wear this to a beach in the near future when I need that SL escape.

Living The Gacha Life

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting The Gacha Life, a terrific event filled with those popular and addicting gacha machines from a bevy of talented designers. They are a fun way to take a chance and pay a small price (usually much lower than full price for one item) and get a randomly selected color or variety of the gacha set. There are images with each gacha to tell you what the items are, and if any are more rare than others. Another great reason to visit is the group gifts, as almost all of the designers are offering a treat for all members of The Gacha Life's inworld group which is free to join. This event runs every other month, and the current round is until the end of June, so you have time to stop by and enjoy.

Please give this photo a click so you can see it full size and better appreciate the [Ari-Pari] Crystal Fae gacha prizes. This set is $50L per pull, and you will receive one of 10 beautiful colors of the dress with matching wings in animated and static versions. Each dress is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. On the left I am wearing the prize #1 Ruby Crystal Fae, and on the right is #6 Aquamarine Crystal Fae. The dress itself has a sweet tulip style skirt and the most dainty spaghetti straps, so it can certainly be worn alone without the wings...of course, I cannot resist the beauty of the stained glass appearance of our sets of wings :) *chef's kiss* They are simply stunning, and having the options of both static and animated versions included is a wonderful touch. There are 10 different possibilities to win each time you play, including a rare Onyx version of the set.

[Ari-Pari] is also offering a generous TGL group gift called Rosalyn Dress. It comes with a V-string (modesty underwear panel with no sides or straps) each sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD that lets you choose from 6 colors for each, all of which are reflected in the solid colored skirt and the floral patterned bodice. The bows and ruffles are a playful aspect, and the strapless corset styling is bound to make pulses race.

Next I slipped into more casual group gifts, starting with the HERO - Francesca Tank Black. It is provided in Altamura, Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, and comes down just to the belly button so it is a nice length for most bottom wear. Speaking of bottoms, I am also wearing a fantastic pair of shorts that you will find among these great group gifts, the Deadly Deed Design ~DDD~ Peace Jeans Shorts Citrus. They are low rise and daringly short, with a slim yellow and green belt and the word "Peace" embroidered in bubble letters on the right pocket. This gift consists of sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, and will be appearing in my next photo too.

The ~DDD~ Peace Jeans Shorts Citrus are a fun pairing for the gift from BLONDEQUEEN which is their ::BQ::Bandana Top:: Blue Palm. It includes eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes, and the shape of the front reminds me of a heart ♥. Since green is created by mixing yellow and blue, I guess that is why the combination of colors is so appealing :) 

My final look this evening is the TGL group gift from Changed Seasons, a delightful wrap dress named April. She has soft colors and rows of petite dots, and is included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. I love the pastel colors and the deep V neckline, oh and the way the shoulders are scooped in the back!

The most exciting thing about my day was shooting stars on my island in Animal Crossing, so that should tell you that it was a fairly calm day here ;) Since I appreciate calm days, that is absolutely not a complaint, and Xan was visiting my island so he got to enjoy the shooting stars too. Tomorrow I have more Gacha Life group gifts to share, and it is nice to have clear plans for that next post. Start Your Weekend at Home

Hiya everyone! Tonight I chose some more Stay at Home Club gifts to show you, as the number of generous designers continues to grow :) The idea of the gifts is to lighten our moods as we stay home for safety, and personally I am glad we have Second Life as an escape. It provides the ability to interact with people across the world, without social distancing or masks (unless wearing masks is your thing, then go for it!) and enjoying new clothing (or home decor or anything from the other categories on their site) is a real day brightener. 

[WellMade] is offering their Iris Dress GIFT to all visitors as their Stay at Home Club gift. No group tag is necessary for any of these, just as a reminder, and I thought this would be a nice look for a breezy spring day or evening. It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, with a HUD so you can choose between 2 colors for the shirt layer and 2 coordinating textures for the dress part.

There is also a HUD so you can choose from 2 textures, with or without the artwork on the front, and the semi-sheer texture on the top is found on a plunging back as well. The hemline is daringly short, and it almost looks like the zipper in the back pulls it up a bit. So flirty!

You can let the world know how special you are by wearing the gift from Deadly Deed Design, their {DDD} One in a Melon Top which comes in male and female versions. The ladies' style is a cropped sleeveless hoodie in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. From the front it appears to be solid black, but when you turn around you can see the clever design with a sweet fruity pun. I associate watermelons with summer, and we aren't quite there yet in RL but you can find SL sims with warm climates year-round. This will look cute with just about anything you wish to wear it with, like the blue Delizio jeans from their marketplace gift that I am wearing here. They include several colors as system/BOM layers as well as appliers for Maitreya and Omega, and are so handy that they appear here on my blog quite often.

From casual to formal...we switch gears with the gift from Changed Seasons, their Skylar gown in dramatic black with a mauve corset type belt. It is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. I love the tiny train, how it is just a touch longer in the back so when you walk it ever so slightly trails behind you.

For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying the Stay at Home Club gift from GeMyles called Adira Chainmail Dress & Heels. The dress comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, with matching heels in a Slink High size (so I had to change my feet, LOL) and a HUD with 32 color choices for both at once. All the metallic accents definitely catch the eye, and what a generous amount of hues to have fun with!

Dinner with my parents was nice, and we are all set with our handmade masks so we can go out safely tomorrow and pick up lots of tasty food. It's funny, for once I think it is a good thing that my family is not touchy-feely (we never hug or anything) so even being in the same house we are not really risking anything if one of us were not healthy. I hug my friends a lot when I see them though, which will not be safe for quite some time yet, so I will make do with virtual hugs for now. I am a little nervous about going out after last week's anxiety and carsickness issue, but I will be practicing deep breathing and trying to listen to soothing music in the car. That is SO typical of chronic anxiety, being worried about feeling anxious again, it's almost amusing in a twisted kind of way. Melt With You

Hiya everyone! Tonight I checked back in with the Stay at Home Club, who are still adding new gifts from many generous designers. There are tabs with different categories on their site, so just click what you are interested in and then click the picture of the gift to get the landmark. No group tag is needed and all gifts are free, even the ones whose vendor asks you to pay $1L because it is automatically refunded. This is something special to help brighten people's days during these rough times, and I appreciate it more than I can say. My title is simply one of the many songs I heard while working on this post, an 80s tune by Modern English. 

This gift from Deadly Deed Design is such a clever design, and there is a coordinated male outfit available too. For my final look of the evening, I went to [Glitzz] and claimed their seductive Thalia Dress - White gift. It is a halter style with a lacy embroidered top and flowing mini skirt, whose soft material makes me feel like it could double as a (second) honeymoon ensemble. Confession: I am so relieved that I caught it from an angle that I didn't have to add modesty flowers to the image, nothing is clearly visible to make this adults only :) That wisp of a top is sheer though, make no mistake on that, so be careful where you wear this sexy slip dress.

It feels like about the billionth day of social distancing, lol, and like this year has already lasted for 42 months...lots of people have expressed that they feel like they are living the movie Groundhog Day with the same day repeating itself over and over. It is rough, but if it keeps the majority of people safe in the long run, it will be worth it when we get to look back someday while appreciating a new normal. It is eye-opening how fast things changed, and how it brought out the good in most people. Tonight's gifts are a prime example of that, these designers who could probably really use the lindens from selling their hard work but instead chose something to give us for free to make us smile.
