Shopping and Hopping

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some Holiday Shop & Hop gift to share, this time from the Forsythia region which is one of 18 to explore there. Each region has 20 designers, all of whom have their best seasonal wares for sale including discounts, and of course the generous gifts :) Those are what I'll be showing here, and I really enjoy doing this because it reminds all of you to enjoy some shopping and free treats now that the big holiday is over. The season is still here, and a brand new year is just around the corner, so our wardrobes could probably use a little refreshing. 

My first look this evening is a gorgeous top from BONNICCI called Amber XMAS. This flirtatious top looks heart shaped in the front, and can be worn either with or without the puffy sleeves which are gathered above the elbow and at the wrist. Each is provided in Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a fun pattern of green and white Santa hats on a bright red background. What will you wear yours with first?

I had to laugh at the Stiff - Noctern Shirt - Extra 6 gift, which says "When you're dead inside but it's Christmas" over and beneath a skeleton wearing a Santa hat while holding a green bauble :) It could be interpreted as Goth, but I think it also suits anyone who is just tired of this season. There is sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies included of this cropped short sleeve tee. If I weren't happily rocking my Delizio jeans, I would probably wear this with red and green plaid leggings or a sassy little skirt.

Look who found another top! This cinched tube top is our Ruxy-Cristina gift, and a quite versatile one at that. It is created to fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 10 colors each for the top and the gems in the middle of the stars. Mixing and matching is always fun, and this way we can wear it with just about any pants or skirts we desire :)

It's so cold outside in RL right now that the !APHORISM! - Trench Coat Bordeaux [Ltd Ed Gift] is absolutely right up my alley. Our new coat has four pockets, a slim attached belt, and several large buttons to help us keep it snug around our curves. The gift includes sizes for Classic, Classic Dainty, Curvy, Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD offering 12 colors each for the belt, pockets, and buttons. I like the idea of the pockets matching the main coat as I did on the right, but then I couldn't resist giving the belt and buttons the same pop of color. 

My final look tonight is the adorable @rOrO Sadie Xmas Set Dress. This gift looks so comfy and warm, with the versatility of 3 different colors each with 2 sayings on the front, for a total of 6 options via HUD. We receive Erika, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Star mesh body sizing of this sweet treat.

How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was pretty good, despite a few hiccups with the food. I've mentioned before that my parents and I make pizzas on Christmas day, and that my parents have to eat gluten free...well sometimes they have trouble finding gluten free pizza dough, and they tried a new brand that was refrigerated (not frozen) and it was just not cooperating. She had them sitting on their individual greased trays, and then tried to stretch them out like usual...they wouldn't spread and cracked instead, just tearing into chunks. A rolling pin didn't help, and eventually she got two pieced together about an inch thick and looking like a bizarre mosaic, LOL! My parents used those, and for mine we used a frozen crust that she usually has for quiches. She said it was the worst pizza she's had in her life, but my dad didn't seem to care because he'll pretty much eat anything. Mine was fine, and I have leftovers for tomorrow or whenever. We all laughed a lot at the absurdity of the situation, and it'll be a fond funny memory like the time at Thanksgiving 30+ years ago when my great aunt (a phenomenal cook/baker) made pumpkin pie with salt instead of sugar. The farmers market is canceled tomorrow because of snow and icy weather, so it'll be a cozy day at home with hot tea and catching up on TV and things :) I hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

MGSN Christmas Gift Train

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I get to be a tour guide for the MGSN Christmas Gift Train, which is now an annual tradition of the MGSN or Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News group. It is free to join, and that group tag entitles you to year-round goodies at many participating stores. But as you can see, once a year we get bonus benefits with these amazing limited time offerings :) You'll want to check group notices for a notecard named after the train, and I believe the most recently updated card is from the 17th. This has our landmarks and photos of the prizes, and they are all completely free with that group tag active. I started from the top and chose some random ones, but there are just so many that I'd love to do several more posts of them if I had unlimited time ;) This is always an intense month with an overload of treats to share, as I'm sure you can tell. To help you find the gifts, I recommend looking for a sign with a train on it, which is near most but not all of these goodies in the stores.

My first look of the evening comes from [Aleutia] and is their Sol Romper - Violet gift for us. There are lots of great details, like the fabric has tiny sparkles that are hard to photograph but you can kinda see itty bitty silvery specks? There is a HUD included to turn the sparkles on and off, adjust the transparency with 4 options plus off for solid, and the HUD also offers 36 colors each for the bow and tie. The bow includes the belt, and the tie is the slender strand that loops through the front and is tied in the back above the belt. Our romper is provided in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. 

Next stop, .::BE BOLD::. for their adorable and seasonal Rockabye gift! The top and shorts have a great pattern with deep red trim, and each fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. The gift also includes the plush penguin you see here, with a built in hold pose and a cute Santa hat.

It really was a coincidence that I found another purple gift to share, but I'm also not mad at it ;) The !APHORISM! - Lucy Dress - Plum Ltd Ed is a formfitting mini dress with long sleeves and fun cutout to show off cleavage. She is included in sizing for Classic, Classic Dainty, Curvy, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD that lets us pick from 12 colors for the trim (sleeves, neck, and hem ruffle) and turn the built in panties on or off. 

Our gift from Belle Epoque is their sweet Kandy - Pride outfit, several layers all linked into one piece for ease of wear. There are Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes provided. The boldly striped sweater has pretty black hearts, trim, and a long black bow to match the tee beneath, and the skirt is wrapped and ruffled for even more lovely details. I'm a firm believer in pride clothing being perfect for all year long, as a reminder to the community that they will always have my support :)

For my final look, I couldn't resist another visit to Blackstone (yes, I shared an Advent gift from there yesterday) to grab their gorgeous Kareen Dress - Cherry gift. It is just past the Advent tree actually, so you can also click the current date's gift while you're there and get 2 gifts at once :) So this charming mini dress has lace insets on both sides, and metallic trim on the bust, edges of the lace, and studs on the straps that cross above the bodice. It comes in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD with 6 metals to choose from. The S shapes of the insets make us look even more curvy, just accentuating our figure perfectly!

Welcome Back Womenstuff

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got good news about a longtime hunt returning to the grid. The Womenstuff Hunt, last seen in summer 2022 (and even that was a revival after the groups changed hands) is back with over 100 participating stores offering free prizes. The one catch that keeps it from being utterly free is the $50L fee to join the Womenstuff group, which is necessary to claim the prizes. Please visit the 'Stuff lounge and join the group if you aren't already in it, then you can click the sign to obtain a HUD that can teleport you to the stops and provide hints. The HUD is essential since that seems to be the only listing of participating designers, and it is handy to use it to teleport around. The hunt object used to be a red t-shirt, well now it is a lovely red bag in a squared shape with a circular handle. Some have been shrunken down to a really tiny size, so those hints are going to be very helpful! The HUD has arrows to turn the pages to each store, then a ? for the hint and a pushpin for the landmark. The teleport symbol looks like a circle with lines radiating upward, okay it's hard to describe actually LOL but it is on the lower right of each prize image. With 106 prizes, that makes the total cost less than a half a linden dollar per gift :) I'd already been in the group for ages, and highly recommend staying in if you can spare the group slot because I'm hopeful that this hunt goes well and encourages them to do it again soon. Many of the gifts include Lara X sizes, so many in fact that I'm wearing that body this evening.

My first look of the evening is the revealing "Inna" Blazer Vest-Orange from Asteria. Their prize will fit Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, Senra, and a Classic and Curvy pairing that could be Gen X or possibly Tonic. We also receive a HUD with 15 textures for the inner (collar), 12 colors for the panties plus an on/off option, and 4 metals. The open sides are held in place with playful straps for an added fun detail :)

!APHORISM! has a terrific prize for us too, their Steph Shirt & Skirt Gold Ltd Ed outfit. The top and skirt each come in sizes for Gen X Classic, Classic Dainty, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD for each. The shirt's HUD has 24 choices for collar and cuffs, 12 for the buttons, and a pattern or plain option for the gold color of the main fabric. The skirt HUD has the same pattern/plain choices available, so we really can personalize this look nicely.

Time to get sexy with the :: pm :: Adriana Lingerie Set -2 colors- prize from purplemoon! There are beige and choco versions each of bra and panties, all in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. You could mix and match if you wish, but for once I felt like keeping things streamlined ;) The bra has lovely flowers across the top, and the lacy texture on both is just beautiful.

I also found the bag at Vulnus and eagerly claimed their Abas bikini prize. The top and thong are each provided in Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. They are both tied in place with slender straps and fun bows, and I really like the dreamcatcher pattern on the fabric. I know, there's barely enough material there to even see the print that well in this picture, lol, but trust me that is what it is ;)

My final look of the night is the charming JUMO Originals - JOURDAN Gown Summer prize, just right for an evening out, perhaps this coming weekend :) There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Maitreya, and Signature mesh bodies, plus a HUD with 6 colors and a bonus of 2 chokers in different widths. The details make the difference here too, like the deep plunging neckline and central slit on the skirt, lace embroidery at the hem, and a shimmery built in belt. The BIG choker is the one I'm wearing on the right, and I chuckled when it reminded me of the big salad of Seinfeld fame. If you have a different necklace you'd prefer to wear with this beauty, I'm sure it will look just as nice too since that neckline can frame a wide range of styles.

I'd say that it was a quiet day, but only in the sense of my not going out...it was rather noisy from all the fireworks tonight 🎆. The weather was decent enough for it, so I'm sure the folks in the neighborhood who were outside watching were able to enjoy them. I don't hate fireworks, just the loud noises catching me off guard can be off-putting and the worry for pets and humans who might not handle the sounds well. I also witnessed a misfortune in my childhood of a neighbor's girlfriend getting injured by their fireworks, let's just say she no longer has all 10 fingers. That makes me think they should be left to the pros, or at least people who are 100% sober adults. I am looking forward to my parents' tomorrow for dinner, our version of a BBQ, and just checking in to make sure they are both doing okay. There are still tiny firsts happening to them regularly, like this will be the first BBQ without planning on setting food aside for my grandma. She usually cooked extra and now has to scale down a bit, or I may wind up with lots of leftovers. SL21B Shop And Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'm really excited to share some SL21B Shop & Hop gifts, as there are 24 regions loaded with 480 total stores who are nearly all offering free gifts with no group tag needed. SL21B is SL's 21st Birthday, a grand celebration with a theme of elements (like fire and water, not as in oxygen and magnesium) that is optional but is resulting in some terrific creations. It opened on the 21st and we have until the 21st of July to explore it all, and with all the celebrations we almost need that much time! The shopping is a big part of it but not the entirety, so I'll refer you to the official destination guide to see the bigger picture. I would also like to share the link to the FabFree post with their amazing spreadsheet, which has been ready since the event opened which shows you just how hard those fine folks have been working on things :) You can use the tabs on the bottom of the spreadsheet to sort by store name or type of gift, so if you want to find a specific store or only look at male gifts (Xan's next quest, lol) these are just a click away. As I always do, I am taking the gifts one region at a time, so tonight's are all found on Poppy.

My first look this evening combines two gifts at once, since why not start big? :) The top is our SF:: Summer Leather Top GIFT SLB21 treat from Scarlet Fey, a sleeveless tank top crafted from two shades of brown leather. It paired well with the !APHORISM! - Jana Jeans v2 - Ltd Ed Gift, versatile skinny cut pants in a mustard hue with built in belt. I kept those jeans on again here, but swapped tops into the beautiful ***Ambrosia***Bustier [SHOP&HOP GIFT]. I adore the floral print, and the red hue of the blossoms made me think of poppies just like the name of the region :) This treat comes in Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes. It seems this is one of the designers who has changed over to Lara X and eliminated classic Maitreya from their size set, which is why I am wearing my Legacy body for most of this post.

I can't decide if I look like a fairy, pixie, or princess here! This is the * EXiA * Evelina Dress SL21B Gift, and it starts with the beautiful full skirted dress in sizes for Legacy, Lara X, and Petite X bodies. There are panties built in, and separate sleeves that seem to fit all of the body sizes. Now if you'd prefer this without the panties I mentioned, there is also a HUD with show/hide options for them :) So with or without panties, with or without adding the sleeves, there are plenty of ways to wear this feminine and frilly beauty.

Next we see the stunning Utopia Little Star Gift! dress, a single piece with a layered look since it appears as though the front was cut out to reveal a bra or bikini top. It comes in Gen X, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a handy HUD offering 4 colors each for the dress and the lining. We can also right click - touch (from inventory is easiest) to turn the full bright on or off, definitely a helpful feature with PBR altering our lighting ;) Hey, sometimes little stars shine the brightest, right?

My final look this evening is our gift from Salt & Pepper called S&P Fernanda dress FATPACK. At this point I realized I'd misread and had to swap bodies from Legacy to Lara X, lol, as the only body I own from the sizes provided :) Those would be Gen X Classic, Gen X Classic Dainty, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies, and we also receive a wonderful HUD with 16 colors each for the cotton lace and the satin/bow portion. It sure looks like I got very attached to pale pink hues here, huh? The darker dramatic colors are as pretty as the pastels of course, and I try to show as many different colors at once for contrast to demonstrate which sections are which.

Generally my life is boring, so why do my weekends tend to be so chaotic lately? My housemate woke me up as soon as I drifted off to sleep, to tell me that there is a big loud wasp in the house somewhere and I need to...help? Protect him? I don't know. He wound up leaving the house for most of the day, getting home just in time for my therapy appointment which I decided to have indoors instead of out and about in the car in the stifling heat. There was a thunderstorm during my session, so the therapist got to watch me flinch and jump for a reason other than car anxiety ;) Otherwise it went well, a deep dive into my psyche, so not comfortable but effective. I scheduled an appointment for a blood draw on Tuesday, which will be helpful to get my health things on the right path. I Love Shop and Hop

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is packed with gifts from the Valentine Shop & Hop event, all found on the Lupine region which is one of 14 fully stocked regions to explore this round. We have until the 19th to shop exclusive offers and discounts while picking up some free gifts, so be sure and make time for it :) Even if you're not the mushy type, not everything here is themed so you can pick and choose whatever matches your mood. Interestingly there were so many Lara X sized gifts on this sim/region even compared to the Maitreya Lara 5.3 sizes that I wound up switching over to Lara X for the first time in blog photos. I used the same shape I wear for my Lara 5.3 and literally just changed bodies, easy and I do have saved outfits with each so I am very excited to wear the new body. I've mentioned it and shared gifts that contained that size among others, but it is fun to actually show it off too.

My first look of the evening is the charming Faida - Qea Valentine gift. This soft sweater dress has short sleeves and short hem, with an argyle or diamond pattern on the bodice. There are Khara, Kupra, Lara X, Lara X Flat, Lara X Petite, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes provided. The colors are suitable for Valentine romance, but certainly not limited to it, so handy for everyone who enjoys the color pink :)

Next I slipped into the [MSN Design] gift called Zara Outfit [FATPACK]. Its top and skirt each fit Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, and we also receive a HUD with 30 colors each for top and skirt with 5 metals for the chains on the left hip. As you can see, the top has a lacy back and the equally sexy skirt is slit all the way up to the left hip, where the pretty chains are draped. 

We go from revealing to covered up and cozy with the !APHORISM! - Zoe Winter Coat gift :) The coat is layered atop a turtleneck sweater, with a necklace built in as well for a very well thought out look. It comes in sizing for Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Petite, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD offering 10 colors for our sweater, 3 for the fur, and 2 for the necklace with a show/hide option for the jewelry. Such a great look, and the gift goes very well with my favorite Delizio jeans which are a marketplace freebie that I find myself reaching for here quite often. 

I definitely feel like going dancing in our AlaFolie MADNESS gift! The strapless sweetheart neckline and hem are trimmed in ruffled layers, and the main dress has fantastic floral patterns for us :) There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, and Senra Jamie each for dress and panties, plus a HUD with 4 choices each for dress and trim. The panties seem to change with the trim buttons. Where will you wear this beauty?

My final look this evening is a full outfit from BlueMoon enterprise called BMe .:ZUE:. Gift. The oversized sweater and denim skirt each fit Lara X and Senra Jamie mesh bodies, while the tie dye sneakers are unrigged to be worn on any flat feet. Just in case you haven't heard about it, the Senra Jamie body is provided as part of the SL default Library (scroll down in your inventory to the bottom) to help new residents become familiar with mesh bodies. They include a head and body, and I believe are BOM compatible automatically. I did notice several designers at Shop & Hop offering gifts and sales items that are compatible with this body, which should be quite helpful :) Okay so this gift appealed to my love of denim and fun colors, and casual looks that work well for my habit of wandering about the grid seeking stores that are new to me, or hunting for prizes in mostly familiar stores. Time spent with Xan is mostly at our home so I don't need to be formally clad their either, or we check out places that appeal to us from the destination guide which generally means casual wear too. 

It was a decent day with chilly but clear weather, and I had a small outing which went okay-ish. I expect to go out again tomorrow too, as I am supposed to do a little each day. Plans in my life tend to be very fluid though, lol, whether I want them to be or not ;) I intend to alternate between Shop & Hop and some other hunts and events, as February brought plenty of new rounds of both types. Womenstuff Continued

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am continuing along the Womenstuff Hunt 2022 path, with more generous free prizes we can find by clicking the red t-shirt hiding at each location. If you are in the Womenstuff group ($50L fee to join) you can pick up a HUD at their headquarters for free. I also have a list of landmarks that was shared in a group notice by one of the designers, in case you cannot afford to join their group or don't have an open group slot. Fortunately I was already a member of the group, so I was able to use the HUD and transfer a copy to Xan so he could easily help me. There are over a hundred stores taking part, so you can imagine I have enough goodies for many blog posts this month :) 

My first look this evening is courtesy of {Le'La} and is called Suhasini Outfit. The tunic and pants are each provided in Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with matching strappy shoes to fit Belleza, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. There is also a HUD with 15 choices each for tunic, pants, and shoes, so you can pick a pretty pattern for the tunic and then the solid colors to go with it for the others. I was particularly drawn to the unique styling of the top, flirty yet covering all essentials.

We will certainly be able to turn heads in the Naomi swimsuit prize from Telsiope's Couture. There are sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Signature Alice bodies. Our prize also includes an impressive texture HUD with 20 options, so you can choose the summery pattern that suits your mood. The rear view is a stunner too, all those revealing straps!

The t-shirt at !APHORISM! contains their Dia Dress Willow Ltd Ed prize, a layered sweater and jumper style dress in Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh body sizes. The HUD has 10 solid colors for the sweater, as well as plain or pattern options for the dress and the ability to hide/show the built in panties. The sage green color of the dress is very versatile, and looks pretty with all of the potential sweater shades.

Next I slipped into the !Soul GIFT Mesh Mini Dress 10 Textures, a sexy strapless dress with daring side slit and asymmetrical hemline. There are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, and a HUD with 10 lovely colors as the name indicates. The colors are stunning and there simply are no wrong choices :)

For my final look of the evening, I selected the AnaSTyle - Molly P&B outfit, a complete look with both clothing and accessories. The dress fits eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, while the coordinating shoes are provided in sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High feet. The prize also includes the bangles on my right wrist and the pair of spiral earrings I'm wearing here, so no other jewelry is necessary. The skirt is fairly short, so I would say that some underwear is needed though ;) That depends on where you wear it of course, but there are a lot of free or very affordable system/BOM panties on the marketplace and inworld that would be perfect for a bit of modesty.

It was a fun weekend after all, despite several of the vendors at the farmers market not being able to show up. We knew ahead of time that a few were unable to be there, but a couple were unfortunate surprises. The weather almost held out, just some light sprinkles while we were there very early on. There will be intermittent thunderstorms throughout the week, but probably nothing too severe *fingers crossed*. I saw the adorable Boston terrier there, scrounging for crumbs from the samples some people hand out, but a few people have free dog treats ready for cuties like him. Several tents have water bowls filled each week too so the furry visitors can get a cool drink in the warm weather, very smart and kind. Happy Birthday SL

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating Second Life's 18th birthday, which is a truly exciting milestone for our beloved virtual world. I have been here for almost 14 of those 18 years, and am always amazed at how much it has evolved to keep us enjoying it. The part of the celebration I am focused on for blog reasons is Shop and Hop, where you can find discounted offers from a whopping 320 designers on 16 full regions/sims from now until July 6th. Most of them are offering gifts for all visitors, while a few have group gifts for their store's group members. You can find clothing for men, women, and kids among the gifts as well as accessories and home decor of all sorts, great variety as always. I find it easiest to keep the gifts sorted by region when I share them, so tonight's treats are all found on the Gilded sim. 

We start the evening with the striking Emalia Dress - Ghost by MORBID. It has a sheer added layer of fabric over the tighter pencil skirt, and an intricate neckline with built in necklace. Our gift includes sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, and it is such an attractive look that I am very grateful for.

>>GothiCatz<< is offering their Tiffany swimsuit as their SL18B gift, and it is a delightful retro style with a carnival pattern on the bottom complemented by red polka dots on top and waistband. Each piece comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. I am not always comfortable with clowns, I admit, but there is something about this style that catches my eye.

I also stopped by the !APHORISM! display, where I happily claimed this Jackie Dress Marigold Ltd Ed Gift. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a HUD offering 3 texture options: plain, pattern (left above), and ombre (right). The ombre is subtle and just goes a shade or two darker, and the pattern is a pretty square weave. 

Be sure to explore the LYBRA display so you can find their wall of gifts, including this terrific LARA ~ GIFT. The halter style dress is included in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizing, with a HUD to choose from 10 patterns and 4 metals for the zipper in back. There are a few basic patterns with color variations for each, which creates a lovely variety among them. 

For my final look of the evening, I decided to share two different gifts of tops that went well with my favorite Delizio marketplace freebie jeans. The left is the ZVI. Paeri Top which comes in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. It has a soft floral pattern on baby blue, and the cropped length is great for warm weather. Then on the right I changed into the Becca {Coffee & Love} from Slackr, whose mug image says "I run on Caffeine & Love". The heart shaped steam from our piping hot beverage is a wonderful touch, isn't it? The tank top itself is trimmed in red that really brings out the color of the mug. This gift includes Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite sizes. 

Hooray for the weekend! I had a nice visit with my parents for dinner, and am eager to visit the farmers market tomorrow morning. It will be warm and sunny, so sunscreen is a must, and I will be careful to stay hydrated. It is the next to last week for one of the regular vendors, who is returning to Mexico to care for his father whose health is failing, so we have to enjoy their talent and kindness while we can. Fortunately we will be able to keep in touch online, just another reason to be grateful for the internet. I will be taking tomorrow evening off from blogging, returning Sunday with lots of goodies for you to see. I hope you all have a terrific weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Snowflake Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are exploring the Snowflake region of the Valentine's Shop & Hop event, which is one of the 8 full regions/sims loaded with discounted offers and free gifts from generous designers. I am certainly enjoying the chance to share so many treats with you! We have until the 17th to visit this event, so that is just under a week remaining. There are clothing options for men and women, along with home and garden items and so much more. 

My first look tonight is the Mary Dress gift from Rosary, which is yours free with no group tag needed as with all of these goodies I am sharing :) It comes in Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes, with a HUD offering 11 color choices. The style is wasp-waisted and curvy, with a fuzzy texture that looks very touchable. 

I am also very grateful for our gift from On A Lark, called *OAL* Meryl ~ Sweetheart. It has such a pretty style with gently twisted straps and belt that perfectly match the pattern of the rest of the pleated dress. Speaking of favorite colors, one of mine is purple so I love this gift! It is the Valentina E. Slink Dress Lavender, and has been designed for the Maitreya mesh body. The halter top has two ribbony straps in the back, holding things together while showing off our back. The skirt is tight and hugs our rear, while being short enough to accentuate the legs. 

For my final look of the evening, I chose the cozy !APHORISM! gift called Winter Parka Women - Candy Ltd Ed Gift. Womenstuff is Tops

Hiya everyone! Tonight I chose several prizes from the Womenstuff Hunt to share, with a specific idea in mind. There are many gifts along the way that are tops of some sort, sweaters or tank tops or blouses or t-shirts for example, and they are probably so popular since they are versatile and can be worn a number of different ways. You can dress them up with skirts or dress pants, while a more casual look can be achieved with leggings or jeans. Speaking of jeans, a pair of those were my choice to wear with all of tonight's tops for simplicity's sake :) I love the Delizio marketplace gift that I wear on here fairly often, a fatpack of colors in system/BOM layers as well as appliers for Maitreya and Omega so they are suitable for just about every avatar. A quick reminder about the hunt itself - we are looking for red t-shirts with white high heels on the front, and the All 'stuff logo on the back, for $0L or $1L a piece. There are hints on their website along with landmarks, info if a store needs to be skipped, and the prizes that are exclusive designs for the hunt are marked on there too so it is a very handy guide.

My first look features the [WellMade] hunt prize, a $1L cutie that is simply called WSH Top. It is a bra top that on first glance reminded me of slide curtains, since the cups are held in place both top and bottom by delicate chains that connect in the middle. The top comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with a HUD to let you pick from 2 color varieties of the floral pattern. With a bare belly, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to share another hunt prize, the free GERMINAL Suddenly Tattoo. It reads "And suddenly you were my everything" next to an image of a flower, a saying that certainly spoke to me ♥. There are faded and fresh versions included, in system/BOM layers along with appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

My next look is a cropped top from ZFG called Savannah Kawaii, whose HUD offers 6 beautiful texture choices that all resemble those galaxy manicures that are designed to look like the night sky or a view of outer space. The top comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. Quite a generous free prize, so be sure to find that hidden shirt!

If you spend too much time hunting and forget to enjoy a healthy snack, you could wind up hangry (combination of hungry and angry) so take a break and enjoy a little bite to eat, then find this prize from Tastic :) Their fun Hangry Shirt comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes, with cuffed short sleeves and the hem falls just above the navel.

I am in the northern hemisphere and entering summer, but fully realize that not only are there plenty of SL residents who are experiencing winter this time of year instead, but thanks to the nature of SL you can visit sims with any weather pattern desired by its owners. Therefore I am a fan of this cozy looking sweater from !APHORISM! for now or whenever the urge strikes to wear something warm :) It is called Zara Sweater Ltd Ed, and has a high turtleneck with flattering outline and lovely knit textures. My final look of the evening is considerably more revealing...I considered putting a little modesty flower over the few pixels of visible areola there, but obviously I decided against it ;) This terrific $1L gift is the .{AC}. Taylor Crop Tank Rainbow from Aurora's Closet, and I am not sure if it is a nod to Pride month or not but I like the idea that it could be. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, and you could easily layer pasties or a bra beneath if you wanted a more modest look. 

Whew, what a day! I am running late this evening because I got sidetracked by several things at once, but it was a decent day overall and I am looking forward to the weekend. The weather will be stormy the next few days, but that probably will not affect my plans too much. Saturday is the outdoor farmers market, so that could be the biggest issue I guess if the tents are not safe because of lightning.
