Hiya everyone! Today I was thinking about practicing in the kitchen for a Valentine dinner next week, with the help of The Loving Kind Hunt 2. This free gridwide hunt has been a source of some wonderful outfits to choose from, and there is decor hiding in several of the yellow (unisex) hearts. Well I headed to the kitchen of my skybox and began the decision making process...
I admit I stood here a bit longer than intended in this outfit, mostly pondering what to make but also thinking wow, this is a sexy look! The dress is our prize from Ellenico, their Micro Mini Tube Dress, in 3 mesh sizes (XXS, XS/S/M, and L) and it also comes with a system layer rose collar tattoo, not shown. The shoes, which really pick up the softer shade of red in the design of the dress, are our gift from Barbed Wire Kisses called Branna Shoes GLK. These lovely heels come in sizes for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink feet, and I can easily envision them livening up a more neutral colored outfit as well like black or white.
Here you can see the exact moment I realized I forgot a few ingredients, don't you hate that? I had just slipped into a beautiful apron which is the hunt prize from Black Rose Designs. This pretty Heart Apron comes in standard mesh sizes plus versions for Curvy, Fine, eBODY, Hourglass, Physique, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, and TMP. The comfy looking flats are the prize from Lindy, called Leila Gingham Red and there are versions included for classic, Maitreya, and Slink Flat feet. The cheerful gingham print makes these especially nice for running around cooking, as long as I am not too sloppy ;) My jeans are a wardrobe staple of mine, the Marketplace gift from Delizio that includes several colors (these are the black) in system, Maitreya, and Omega appliers too. I have been so grateful for these versatile goodies more times than I could possibly count, even before having a mesh body.
I did mention decor, well here I am trying to decide where I will wind up displaying a couple of romantic gifts next week. The tray on the left with the red candles is from North Moon and is named For My Love Decor. There are chocolates and a card along with the dozen or so candles, really lovely :) On the right, my mouth waters just glancing at this prize from QUE RICO called Petit Fours on Silver Heart Tray. I'm pretty sure that back left one is Tiramisu, and if so then it is the ultimate sacrifice for me to share that one with Xan, a true testament to love ♥. You can also see a peek of the apron from behind, those beautiful bows helping to hold it in place.
One last look (please excuse the bad pun) of the night is one that can look back at you, my gorgeous eyes from Inkheart! Their prize for this hunt is their Loving Eyes in Freedom (top) and Sincerity (bottom) which are each included in 4 sizes (medium shown) in system layers, mesh, and an applier for Genesis and Omega. They are very similar colors, Sincerity looks to be a paler shade of green though, and did you notice the heart-shaped pupils? Such a terrific touch! I find it romantic because someone would have to be very close and gaze deeply into your eyes to pick up on that special secret.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have an enjoyable mix of deeply discounted delights from The Wash Cart Sale, and a few hunt prizes from the Women Only Hunt (WOH2). I love the looks of the holiday season, but I think most of what I am showing you tonight will be suitable for other times of the year as well. Not much red and green tonight, mostly dark and warm colors for variety. The Wash Cart Sale runs until the 4th of January, and many items are transferable so you can pick up gifts for your SL friends and family, just $10L each. The WOH2 hunt will have you looking for pretty blue/purple snowflakes which are free, and you will need to pick up the hunt HUD at their hunt office to guide you from stop to stop and give you hints in local chat. I am so grateful for these opportunities to find and share these free or very inexpensive treats with all of you!
My outfit is one of the many wonderful items on the Mystic Dragon Designs cart at the Wash, each for just $10L. This is their Tree Outfit and is a single mesh piece, in 8 fitted sizes including Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. I love the golden tree on the top, and the mixture of leather and knitted materials. Sometimes just for variety I like to mix metals, so I paired this with the Lindy Barlie Black shoes for Slink High, another cart sale find and one of several pairs to choose from at their cart. Next we have three terrific items, all from the Loordes of London cart. The top, a cozy blouse/sweater combo, is their The SL Retro Look #7, a pretty deep blue shade which comes in standard, Isis, and Venus sizes. The sunglasses are their Lunar Eclipse also in #7, with a built in resize script, and the shoes are Fallout Index Peeptoe #7 for Slink high. They have an attractive design to their texture and great strappy details. All of these items are $10L each and there are other colors for each available at the cart too, so scoop up those bargains! Over to the Womens Only Hunt, this playful hooded sweatshirt is our prize from Chemical Princess called Skull Hoodie. It comes in black and white (left) or color (right) and each is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. Fun side note, I accidentally wore the Hourglass size instead of the Physique (the body I am actually wearing) on the left, it still fit obviously but now that you know to look, you can notice the curvier shape of the mesh, particularly in the hips.
Two exciting prizes to be seen here, let's start with the Stripes Dress from EMPORIUM. This long sleeved mini dress comes in standard mesh sizes plus an Hourglass and a Physique version, very sexy style. I added the boots from the snowflake hidden at ELYSIUM, their Sophia knee high boots in furry. I love the laces wrapped around and around until they tie in the back of each boot, and the color will match so many of your favorite inventory staples. These have a wide range of sizes too, so you can comfortably fit your Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, or Physique legs or at least match one of those to your personal shape.
One last look for the evening, the fantastic nails I have been so enjoying tonight :) The prize from alaskametro<3 is a set of "Snow Queen" nail art HUDs for Maitreya manicures, Maitreya pedicures, Slink, and Omega. They are offering their Akasha dress in 10 different colors, just $10L each, and each color includes two different versions in standard mesh sizes plus a fitted one. On the left I am wearing Akasha in Currant in version 1, and on the right is Frosted Dream version 2 where you can see the beautiful pattern is on the main dress instead of the ruffle. This eye-catching Maypole Gown from Suki's Silken Fashions is a Renaissance Hunt prize (#061) and includes not only the gown in 3 fitmesh sizes (labeled A, B, and C) but the pretty rose circlet and necklace with pendant you see here. There is even a pair of boots that you can't see beneath the gown, and a HUD for 6 color choices for the gown itself (SL was being moody earlier for me and the HUD did not work, sorry for only showing one color). If this dress looks familiar, it's because it was also their prize from a prior hunt I blogged in April, the Medieval Fantasy Hunt. That is actually a good thing if you think about how many people may have missed that hunt, and can appreciate the opportunity to pick up this great outfit :) I have a whole new appreciation for fitmesh since that prior blog post, now that I have a mesh body that benefits greatly from it.
This next look from #044 AdelleArts Manor Fashions is truly fun and unique! Find their TRH6 prize and you will receive the rope cowl top in standard mesh sizes, faun horns with a resize script, and the mesh faun legs you see here too. I used the HUD for my body to alpha out the lower half, and hid my feet to show my cute hooves instead. There is a smooth transition from body to legs, and I love that the top is both a nod to nature and a bit of camouflage if you wish to frolic in the woods.
My last look of the evening is a better glance the nails I have been wearing tonight, another Cart Sale offering from Rad Designs. Hiya everyone! I decided on another themed post, possibly inspired by a RL friend's shoe obsession and several wild footwear photos shared online :) It could also just be that I sometimes neglect my feet in SL, running around barefoot which is a RL habit for me as well. Sometimes the shoes make the outfit, and all of tonight's shoes are free group gifts with the exception of the first, a $1L hunt prize from the Around The Grid 4 Hunt. Based on Around the World/Grid in 80 days, this hunt has been in full swing for over a month and has another full month yet to go, so you have plenty of time to explore this hunt and find the red and yellow striped hot air balloons.
I found a beautiful dress on the Marketplace to wear tonight, this is from GlamGal and is called Cinnamon Spice. I have previously enjoyed another of their free gifts on the blog, and was grateful to find this beauty as well. My shoes are the hunt prize from Lindy Modern & Retro Shoes, their Lindy Kitty Ruby, a very exciting find as there are versions included for the default avatar feet as well as Slink Kitten feet. I haven't seen enough Kitten shoes yet so this definitely brightened my day.
I did a bit of intentional mis-matching here, just as an excuse to show you two of the 4 colors of this Hilly Haalan group gift in a single image. This is their Mothers Day Heels gift for Slink High and includes black, pink, red and yellow. It is still new to me, a whole new world in fact, and I am enjoying it.
I decided to have a seat and ponder things on this lovely stump from Crys Secret Garden at the cart sale, just $10L for this Flowering Ivy Stump with 9 poses and a land impact of just 3. I am wearing the regular version :) I was drawn to all the details, the cute cherries on the front of the shorts matching the petite pattern on the tank top, and the perfectly matched straps and piping.
Another cute summer gift from TR on the marketplace is this colorful bikini, which is one of their group gifts that they offer for free on the marketplace as well. You get this sweet suit in system layers and an Omega applier, so it is a practical choice whether you have a mesh body or not. Check out that cute lacing in the middle of the bikini top!

First the cart sale bargains :) I am wearing the Houndstooth Dress w/ HUD from The Little Bat, and I am a big fan of theirs so it didn't surprise me that they have such a pretty dress with a bit of an edge on offer, and $10L would be a startlingly low price if not for the Cart Sale. The HUD has 8 color choices for the skirt, each with the black houndstooth pattern, and I chose to show you the red and the green because of my shoes. The adorable GingerB Black-Xmas shoes for Slink high by Lindy have lovely seasonal bows adorning them, just $10L for this attractive pair of heels.
Advent calendar time! We are almost running out of days on those calendars, where did the month go? This lovely dress is from *SOIR* and is their Luna Cocktail Dress in Black. Standard mesh sizes are included, and it's a lot more than just a basic black dress with its subtle texture and asymmetrical hemline. No group needed for this calendar.
Oooohh, isn't this an exquisite gift? Independent Objects is part of a trio of stores all offering Advent gifts in a winter wonderland, just join their free group and take the TP pad up to the beautiful snowy area and find today's gifts. The one from *IO* contains this gorgeous Liliana Fairy Outfit with its mesh dress in several sizes, plus the chest and leg attachments and the amazing wings. If you prefer a more simple look, you can wear just the dress, and you can see how that looks on the right. I love it either way, just depends on where you're going and what mood you might be in.
This may be the cutest Christmas outfit I've seen in ages, and all you have to do is join a free group to be able to claim this! Hurry though, it's the Roots & Wings advent gift for the 21st so it's hard to say how long before it gets changed out. Hiya everyone! It's been a lovely journey along the Silk Road Hunt path, and I have just a few more really nice goodies to show you. I feel like this is the kind of hunt that people can do no matter what your main SL style is, just to have a few treasures to keep in your inventory for that theme party you want to attend (or throw), or perhaps some of the furnishings would be perfect for a corner of your home. My home is out of room, hehe, it's a rental skybox in which I'm pushing the prim allowance limits pretty hard. That makes what I did for these photos pretty funny actually...
This is a gorgeous temple (several pillars, rounded top, very classical looks) from Emma's #074 with a fire pit with optional sounds, and the marble has 18 different texture choices which are all quite lovely...and I rezzed it on top of my peaked roof. Yep, that's the only place I could temporarily display it, LOL. That background you're seeing, that grass and trees and such, is the panoramic enclosure around my skybox and NOT part of the temple whatsoever. I am wearing the amazing Hera outfit from Tamiron Forge (#069), and for the men there is a stunning Heracles outfit that looks well suited for any gladiator. Hera includes the bracelets and earrings shown, along with the shoulder drape that is separate so you can choose to go without as well.
See, there's that beautiful toga without the shoulder drape, so you can see the wonderful gifts from KK's Trinkets, #071 in the hunt. The Black Beauty set includes the necklace, earrings, and ring you see here. You might notice I changed the marble texture on the temple as well.
These adorably fun ear cuffs are from prize #075 from Posh, which is found at a breathtaking Asian garden sim. I must say, I'll be returning to explore more and I enjoyed the little while Xan and I spent there as we completed the hunt :) The ear cuffs come with a HUD to change the gemstone color (red, blue, or white) and metal color (gold or silver). There is a resize script built in if you touch them, and I had to adjust their position to suit my ears with the good old-fashioned edit method. They're pretty yet playful, and I felt cheerfully elfin in them :)
Back inside my house, I decided to take off my Slink feet to show you one final cute prize, these are the female gift from Lindy Modern & Retro shoes. They're called Aliaa and remind me of either a genie or an elf, with an intriguing pattern that looks like paisley with a splash of something else I can't quite identify. If you don't own Slink feet or just find yourself taking them off a lot, Lindy's is a great place to go for hunt prizes as all the ones I've seen in there appear to be for default avatar feet. I was tempted to try to edit them for the Slink flats, but the way they narrow in the front I decided it wouldn't work out well. I think these would go really nicely with a Boho style long skirt or sundress, or maybe something with a crochet texture.
