Group Gifts Galore

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're taking a look at treats for two multi-designer groups, visiting 3 different stores, so it is variety squared ;) The groups are ShopaholicsSL and Mesh Body Friends, both of which are currently free to join. As you can gather, there is some crossover with some of the designers being contributors to both groups (among many others) and so it is handy to have as many group slots available as you can when visiting some generous stores. I was so excited when they gave us all more group slots, and then of course I used them all up quicker than a hiccup. *shrug* It's too tempting to join all the groups and claim all the goodies!!

My first stop was Hilly Haalan, where there is an entire building dedicated to group gifts for several groups including their own. The Shopaholics treat is called [hh] Brielle Set, and it is a beautiful pairing of ruffled top and skirt with built in panties. Each piece fits eBody Curvy, Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. There's also a HUD provided so we can select from 12 colors each for the top, upper ruffles, bow, lace trim, upper strap, lower strap, back strap, ruffles with white band, skirt, skirt strap, skirt lace, and panties. We can also hide the panties and the upper strap, so there are so many possibilities here for us to enjoy :) 

Over at Alias!, I grabbed not just one but two gifts for different groups. The Shopaholics goodie is the adorable Bunny Hug Pastel Green outfit, and words cannot explain the cuteness here ♥. I shall try though ;) The long sleeved crop top is provided in 3 classic and 3 fitmesh sizes (each S, M, L) for classic avatars along with Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. The shorts have a similar set of sizes - 5 standard mesh, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. They each have bunnies of course, on the front of the shirt and on the front and back (booty bunny!) of the cinched shorts. Then we have accessories, specifically the unrigged slippers with floppy bunny ears and tail in the back, and a sweet bunny to hold onto :) The mint green really shows off the white rabbit nicely, and I wore parts of this outfit last night to do a MadPea murder mystery game because I am a bit bizarre at times. I left the bunny safely at home (well, in the folder) so he didn't see all the grisly murders, and decided that sneakers were more practical than slippers that might absorb the blood and be hard to clean.

Another Alias! treat you don't want to miss out on is the Lovely Baby Blue outfit for the Mesh Body Friends group. Its jumpsuit, jacket, boots, and bear chain (waist) each come in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'm always drawn to any pattern with hearts on it in any color, and this shade of blue is such a bright and cheery one :) I switched to my Lara X from 5.3 for this photo and the next one, then back again for the last one since I just go with whichever sizes are provided. I enjoy them both and use the same shape for both, so it isn't a big deal for me.

More hearts, yay! This time we are visiting {Chaotic}, whose Akia dress is their gift for Mesh Body Friends. The rainbow of hearts on the white background can be an early nod to Pride month, or simply a treat for those of us who crave color in our wardrobes :) The strapless style has a white top to match the ribbons tied around each upper arm, which are linked to the dress so it is all worn at one time. There are sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies.

For my final look this evening, you'll want to switch back to your Shopaholics group tag to click the {Chaotic} Samatha sign and receive your new gift. The wispy dress and thigh high boots are each designed for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There's a HUD with 4 choices for the dress coloring, all of which are going to look wonderful with the neutral black boots and their spiky stiletto heels. The rear view might be a bit on the revealing side, so please choose your destination wisely when wearing this little number ;) I think back in the day they would call this look 'hotter than a two dollar pistol'.

I Am A Shopaholic

Hiya everyone! Tonight you will need a group tag to claim some wonderful gifts, that of the ShopaholicSL group. It is free to join, so all of tonight's looks will cost you exactly zero lindens :) It was a fun morning exploring various stores of the participating designers to see what group gifts I could find to show you, and I was very pleased with what I tracked down. I also just appreciate seeing how people choose to decorate their stores, and seeing their current offerings for sale so I know where to go for various moods of clothing.

My first stop was Hilly Haalan, where I have been before many times for various groups including her own store group to show you generous presents. From the landing zone, turn around and you will see a little gift shack (smallest building there) in which you will find this lovely [hh] Gift for ShopaholicSL Kelsey Dress. It says the group name in hovertext and in fine print on the photo on the wall itself, but there is no group sign so no need to look for that. The dress is included in a fitmesh classic size plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing, all with a beautiful style and color.

Cremosas Store is another one who is generous with group gifts, such as this sweet mini called Dress Isabella G. She is provided in standard mesh sizes, one of which was a perfect fit for my Maitreya body as you can see above. The color is almost a steely blue, and that golden belt high on the empire waist is a charming touch.

Swimsuit season is nearly upon us, and in SL we can find a sim that is enjoying the weather of our choosing. With that in mind, you might need the gift from Suna Design fairly quickly :) It is called <Mimi> and includes a Maitreya applier and an Omega applier, each with 3 colors of intricately fashioned swimsuit. The one not shown is white, and as you can imagine it is as shiny as the red and black versions above.

[WellMade] always has something special waiting for us to buy or claim, and their ShopaholicSL group gift is no exception. This is the [WM] Almira Outfit, a sports bra and shorts each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and fitmesh S, M, L classic. There is also a HUD provided to choose between pink and blue for each piece. Both bands have something to say, just in case you ever need a reminder that you are sexy.

My final look tonight is a flirty outfit from Gigi Vox called Estrellita 1218. It consists of the Natalia top in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink sizes plus the shorts (panties?) in Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique sizing. I couldn't help but admire the fun straps and open weave of the top, and expect to wear this as a bathing suit somewhere sunny in the near future.

Tuesday Variety

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a variety of items to share from hunts, group gifts, event gifts, and even a marketplace freebie. The hunt prizes are from a $1L gridwide hunt called Cute & Curvy 2 Hunt, and I must say they have a terrific array of prizes from so many talented designers, it was hard to narrow it down to just a few to share today. The hunt object is a small lollipop, pinkish red (possibly just red but, well, windlight settings vary) and easy to hide in unusual places so I strongly suggest following those hints from their website. The event I mentioned is called AVANGARDE and many of the designers have gifts for free or a few lindens at their displays. It is their very first round, so it was exciting to see what was offered and I will be intrigued to see it grow over time.

My first look is the fantastic hunt prize from Sevyn East, their Pink Me dress for C&CH2. It is provided in fitmesh sizes for classic avatar, Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, eBODY, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. Also there is a HUD with 4 different textures for the dress, two of which you can see above. The white belt with pretty bow is built in and remains white as a lovely contrast to all the textures.

Another fantastic hunt prize for just $1L can be found at Get Frocked, their Cute & Curvy Dress in 10 fitmesh sizes including standard, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP. Both the style and the colors really caught my eye, classic yet modern.

My jeans here are another $1L hunt prize, this time from Firelight Creations called {FC} Nixie Denim Set. This generous gift includes 6 different styles (capris, cut off shorts, jeans, shorts, worn jeans, and torn jeans) in system layers along with appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. This is a great find that will definitely be a go-to staple in my wardrobe. My comfy sweatshirt is found at the AVANGARDE event I mentioned earlier, but is actually a group gift for ShopaholicSL. The Christmas Gift Hoodie Pullover comes in plenty of fitmesh sizes including standard, Belleza, Hourglass, Physique, Maitreya, TMP large and TMP small. The ShopaholicSL group is free to join, with a sign right above the gift that will display the join link in local chat when you give it a tickle. The pink and blue colors are one of those fun coincidences that I was simply lucky enough to find a lot of today, after choosing those shades for my hair, but I didn't even seek out the colors. Perhaps they sought me out instead.

Still at the Avangarde event, these two dresses are part of the generous gift from ATTITUDE, which consists of a few textures, vases, candles, and the single fitmesh Sweet Desires dress on the left, plus two copies of Ava Fitmesh Party Dress on the right which are both labeled size small so I am not sure what the difference is. I really like both dresses, and as you can see they each fit my Slink Physique body with no problems at all.

Time to get serious for a moment...I chose my nails for tonight not because they match so many of my outfits (although they do) but in memory of someone I have known since childhood who passed away from breast cancer very recently. She fought bravely for several years, and in addition to her loving husband she leaves behind 3 children and a large extended family who adored her. Marie was one of those people who was always described as sweet and kind, and I genuinely never heard a bad word against her in the decades I knew her. Cancer sucks, and I am deeply saddened by this and every loss. My nails are from Nail Me! and can be found for free on the marketplace, along with a few other awareness designs in their marketplace store so please check those out if you wish to honor someone. This set includes HUDs for Slink and Omega nails.

Clearly my day was not an easy one, but I appreciate the distraction of being focused on SL and blogging. Immersing oneself into a pleasant hobby is far healthier than brooding or worrying over things we cannot change. I hope you are all having a good week so far, magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
