Shopping and Hopping

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're back at the Halloween Shop & Hop, this time visiting the region of Forsythia which is one of 16 regions filled with treats. There are exclusive sales offers from 20 designers per region, with at least one free gift from each as well :) Some are gift cards or store credit so you can select your own reward for visiting, while other designers have picked out something they feel is representative of their brand and hard work, and I'm grateful for every single one. The Halloween Shop & Hop is open until the 5th of November, so we still have plenty of time to explore and enjoy.

My first look of the evening is an extra large image, so please give it a click to see the full view of our .:{Sofia}:. Kayla Gown Dress V1 - Orange gift. This gorgeous gown and matching bow are each provided in sizes for Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Erika, Erika Bubble, Freya, Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Reborn Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies. Then we can add the earrings, brooch (appears on the bodice), and even the floral bouquet with a built in hold pose. This gives a unique bridal look, or at least bridal party, but without the bouquet it can be an elegant gown for any formal event :) The orange of course gives Halloween or autumn vibes, or maybe it's just your favorite color which makes it perfect for any time of year.

Another gift I found with similar coloring is the Stories&Co. Mara Dress - Glow. This sexy strapless dress comes down to mid-thigh, with a daring slit on the left leg all the way up to the hip, and the fabric does indeed appear to glow because of the beautiful texturing. Claim this gift and you'll receive Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Waifu mesh body sizing. Please note the low cut neckline is definitely flashing some nippleage with the Legacy body size, and sometimes that does vary by body but for wearing in a family friendly place I'll layer a strapless lace bra beneath.

I also love purple for this time of year, so it was a pleasure to find the Entice - Sweet Jane - Purple Plaid gift :) The jacket and panties are each provided in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. The panties are solid colored and coordinate beautifully with the hues of the plaid we see on the jacket, subtle and lovely.

For something cozy and casual to wear any time of year, be sure to visit the Caboodle display and pick up their Anne Shirt & Shorts - Stripe gift. The loose-fitting short sleeved top and shorts that are laced tightly in front like football pants are both a soft beige with slightly darker striping. There are eBody, Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizes of these sweet separates, and as individual pieces you can pair them with other wardrobe staples as well if you prefer.

My final look of the night is a combination spooky and sexy (spexy?) treat from Les sucreries de Fairy named *Cute Gost Outfit*. There are black and white versions each in sizes for Legacy and Maitreya bodies for the dress, panties, collar, and garters. They are basically photo negative images of each other, with the ghost appearing on front and back of each color. This particular brand was crafting fashions for Maitreya only for a while, so it was a pleasure to see the Legacy sizing included as well :)

It was a quiet day here, which is just the way I like them, and I am basically going to be flipping a coin or rolling some dice to decide which of the many events' gifts to share tomorrow ;) I have been focusing on variety so not too much of any one at once, as this month is a bounty of seasonal celebrations and anniversary/birthday treats from various events. Believe me, I feel blessed even if it is a bit busy! November will probably be very quiet, then December is generous chaos. Shop and Hop - Hollyhock

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's Shop and Hop gifts are all found at the Hollyhock region which is one of the 14 regions (sims) full of talented designers. All are offering terrific sales, and for extra incentive to visit there are gifts at nearly every display. Men's and women's clothing and accessories and seasonal decor are among the many offers and gifts you can find, so I recommend bringing your friends and SL family for the shopping and exploring. I'm pretty sure I saw a couple of tween and toddler sized gifts and sales items too :) We have the entire month of October to visit all the various regions, although I was not patient enough to wait very long and went as soon as I could.

For my first look this evening I am wearing one of two gifts I found at Diversion, both of which are charming tank tops. This is the Gift Top - Fall Pack, which includes sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite sizes with a 4 texture HUD. The patterns are sweetly seasonal, and each has a perfectly chosen solid color for the trim and crossed spaghetti straps.

Next I changed into the Diversion - Gift Top - Halloween Pack, with its own HUD of 4 spooky texture options. It comes in the same sizes as the fall pack, and looks just as cute with the free Delizio jeans that appear here fairly often on my blog. They are a marketplace gift that consists of several colors in system/BOM layers as well as Maitreya and Omega appliers. 

Another gift that caught my eye is the Witchy Vest by Milana. This tank style top comes in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, in a soft orange with witch profile on the front and back. The silhouette makes me think of a fairy tale witch soaring through the sky, off to find some magical mischief. 

For something extra sexy, be sure to pick up the Caboodle gift of Aris Bra & Panties - Ghost. The bra's right strap is undone to dangle loosely, and the panties are a thong style with fun ribbon on the back. Each comes in Maitreya and Hourglass sizes, with a HUD that lets you choose from 14 pretty colors for that rear bow. Ghosts may sound spooky, but these look like a very cute artistic style.

My final look of the evening is the Valentina E. gift called Vintage Slip Dress Boo. Its dusky background has bats and ghosts scattered about, and the style is flattering and figure-hugging. The gift includes sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. 

It has been a decent day and I did manage to get a little more rest than yesterday, which certainly helps. They started making noise at 6:30 AM right outside my window though, which is earlier than they said and probably not entirely legal. They (water company) said 7:30 in the notices they sent around. Tomorrow I will be taking a quick break from Shop and Hop since we have the entire month and I am a fan of variety, but there are plenty more gifts I will be sharing in upcoming posts. It can get a little bit laggy when crowded, but this is one of those events I get very excited about each time I see the plans in motion :) There should be a Christmas one too in December, so if spooky stuff isn't your scene then maybe the next round will suit your tastes better. More Treats for SLFO

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features more gifts for the SLFO or SL Frees & Offers group, which is free to join and has an impressive collection of participating designers. They share information about events, sales, and specials in addition to many offering free gifts to be claimed with the SLFO group tag. They have been a valuable part of my SL experience for years, and will always have a place among my precious group slots :) I enjoy the in-world group chat too, as it can alert to a midnight mania that needs a certain number of clicks in a short time, or a sale ending in an hour, little news flashes such as those. Friendly folks there too, which of course makes any group chat more welcoming and appreciated. 

First we have the lovely Mayla Night Dress from Brunsen Couture, a playful strapless mini in glittery silver. This group gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The hemline gets surprisingly low when viewed from behind, and I really enjoy the ruffled layers throughout.

DIESELdeluxe is on the same sim as Brunsen Couture, and they have a wonderful gift for the SLFO group too. This is their Beulah Outfit Top&Skirt Pride Jeans, and you will find each piece provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. The dark denim tube top has pretty ruffles and a tiny opening in the front, and who can resist the rainbow stripes and contrasting stitching of the skirt?

Next we have the gift from *caramelo de fresa* called Dress M-0318. It is a versatile cutie, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies with a 12 color HUD. The white bows stay the same in any color choice, with the rest of the dress having two similar hues for contrast. I love the dainty pockets on the front, and the way the belt matches the hem ruffle perfectly.

I also stopped by Eliya.K where I found a gift waiting for us called Gul Dress - STEEL (Plain). It comes in Freya, Isis, and Maitreya sizing, with a HUD offering 12 colors for the skirt add-on as well as the option to hide it. I found that out by clicking the eyeball to see what it did ;) The long full skirt layer has a playful fishnet texture to it, and looks great in any color you choose. The belt is attached too, and is a nice touch for wearing the dress with or without the skirt add-on visible. 

I combined two gifts to create my final look of the night, and was quite pleased with the results. The top is the Caboodle - Turtleneck Sweater - Purple, which has flattering stripes and fits Hourglass and Maitreya mesh bodies. The jeans are our gift from CLOCKHAUS called Malibu Jeans Ombre, which you can claim in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. They go from blue down to black, with ripped knees and some fun insets of pale material on both the thighs and the rear pockets which say "LOVE" on them. Both of these gifts will look terrific with so many different pieces from your wardrobe, and I am excited about all the possibilities. 

I have a few extra plans for tomorrow that made me decide that I should take tomorrow evening off from blogging. So no post tomorrow, but I will be back with a new post on Thursday night :) I have to talk to someone in the morning about the blood test I had drawn earlier, as my doctor used a code that is not a test that my lab can do (??) so they can either use that sample for a similar test, or send me to a different lab company to get more blood drawn. They left a message while I was on the way home, and they left for the day so I have to wait for them to call again. I would prefer they do the similar test with the same blood sample (no additional needles, thanks!) but I also feel like the doctor should be the one to decide since she is the expert and knows what information she needs from the tests. Then I have an unrelated appointment for my feet, and the first hockey game of the 2021 season if I can manage to stay awake and alert for it ;) I have the feeling that when I go out tomorrow, like today I will wind up having to stop several other places and will be out for much longer than I'd like, hence the decision that I have too much going on to comfortably blog at night. This magpie needs some rest or she'll have ruffled feathers, LOL! It is all being done for the benefit of my health in the long run, so it is worth the bit of chaos this week. Sultry Weekend

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more SL16B gifts to show off, this time from the Halcyon sim which is one of their 5 shopping sims at the event. If you have been reading here, you've already seen gifts found on the other shopping sims so this is a finale of fashion with a kiss of color on my lips. Intrigued? Then let's go shopping!

My first look this evening combines two gifts found on the same SL16B sim that work well together but will also pair beautifully with plenty of your wardrobe staples. The top is the Magaly Halter Top Fatpack from Addams, which comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Legacy sizes. It also includes 3 texture HUDs: Common with 30 solid colors, Patterns with 16 choices, and Splash with 12 options (seen on the right) and all with matching colors for the ties. The skirt is the gift from Caboodle, their Camille Skirt & Tied Sweater. Both the skirt and tied sweater are included in Hourglass and Maitreya sizes, in Teal and Floral, so you can mix or match the separate pieces. As you can see, I even wore the skirt without the sweater on the left.

Another duo of gifts here, starting with the [Canimal] Paradise Pink Camo. This halter style romper comes in a Maitreya size and has a lace-trimmed neckline balancing the sporty edging of the shorts and pockets. Also, be sure to grab both gifts from Earthstones so you will have both their Ferris Necklace - June - Moonstone/Pearl and the matching Earrings. The jewelry has a menu when you click each piece, with metal choices of gold or silver and a resize script among other functions. I am a huge fan of moonstone so this set tickles my fancy :)

If you were born to sparkle (spoiler alert: we all were!) then this gift from MIWAS is for you! It honors Pride month with its top and matching skirt, each in a single mesh size that fit my Maitreya body perfectly. The silvery fabric (might be materials enabled) has accents of rainbows, soooo pretty!

The SL16B gift from Bella Moda is an entire fatpack of outfits called Vivace Racy Outfit. There are black, dark blue, grey, light blue, medium blue, and silver versions that each consist of the top and shorts each in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique versions, with matching tiptoe sneakers in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high sizing. There is also a HUD in each for the shirt, 10 colors to tint to your preference. 

For my last look of the evening, I am focused on my kissable looking lips, thanks to the gift from alaskametro<3 called "Bubblegum" Lip Gloss. Just add the HUD and you can apply one of 6 shades in 3 different fits (the B works well for Genus) or click a button to receive system layers for classic avatars. Someday hopefully soon, Linden Labs will be ready to release "bakes on mesh" to the grid and we can use those system layers right on top of mesh body parts, but Omega and various appliers will still work just fine. I do appreciate that Alaskametro provides both options as a standard for their wonderful products.

Wow, it was a hot day out there today! Then we had thunderstorms in the evening, but that didn't stop the local folks from setting off fireworks because they are irrational that way. Sometimes we hear them multiple weekends in a row for no reason, and it worries me when I've read about PTSD sufferers who are triggered by sudden loud sounds like that. Lunar New Year Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have discovered another hunt with a brief time frame, so I hope you have the opportunity to visit very soon and take part in this Lunar New Year Hunt. There is a sign at the starting point that will give you a notecard with hints and landmarks for the handful of participating stores, all on the same sim. At each store you are looking for a red envelope with gold coins around it, the notecard's hints are very useful in guiding us. Tonight's prizes are all from Caboodle, where you can find 8 of these envelopes with generous gifts inside each. 

First we have a pair of prizes, starting with the Caboodle - Cassie Tee - Holo Pack 1. It includes 3 colors, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The crimson on the left is a particularly fine match for the Caboodle - Mykie Leggings - Geometric. They come in Hourglass and Maitreya versions, and have a high waist as well as cutouts at each knee. They are a really flattering and comfy looking style.

Two more prizes appear in this photo, and just to be different I'll start with the pants :) They are the Caboodle - Mykie Leggings in Ornate, similar style and coloring but different pattern than the prior prize. They come in the same Maitreya and Hourglass sizes, with the same flash of knee. I paired them with the Caboodle - Cassie Tee - Holo Pack 2, which has 4 different colors in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The rose gold on the right is bound to be a popular choice, but they are all lovely shimmery shades.

Another red envelope holds this Caboodle - Jarhly Jogging Outfit in Cherry. It will be a fun choice for just about any casual activity though, not just exercising :) It includes the top and pants each in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, all in this slick red fabric that looks so touchable.

If you're like me and simply can't get enough of that holo material, I do hope you are able to find both of these envelopes. On the left I am wearing Caboodle - Fae Dress - Holo, while on the right is another prize called Caboodle - Fae Dress - Holo Pink. Same great shine and style, but each a different color to enjoy. Each prize contains sizes for Freya, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies.

My final look of the night is the Caboodle - Elvira Dress - Cherry, a terrific color for this modern style. It comes in Maitreya and Slink Hourglass sizes, and the bold black accessory is built in. I feel like it is part collar, part cage, part strap system...whatever it may be, we certainly do not need to wear a necklace with it when it draws attention to that area just fine by itself :) Maybe black earrings and/or bangles would be a nice touch, and some black spiky heels.

It is another drowsy type of evening here, thanks to a long day and a busy evening. I am eager to get my next blood test done to see if my thyroid is working any better, because right now I feel like it's asleep or something and leaving me with no energy. Shop and Hop at the Golden Sim

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have some exploring to do, at a 5-sim shopping extravaganza called Shop & Hop. There are 100 designers taking part, and all are offering deep discounts on special selections from their stores as well as a free gift for all visitors. No group is required, just buy for $0L and you can claim all these generous treats. All of the looks tonight are from the Golden sim, just one of the five that are part of this fun event.

My first look is the whimsical gift from Bella Moda called Costume della Renna Reindeer Outfit. It starts with the dress, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and classic Small, Medium, and Large. Then we get to accessorize, with a choker and matching bracelets, antlers, blinking red nose, and a fuzzy Bento-animated tail with a HUD to turn the movement off and on. The matching boots are even provided, in Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, and resize versions to suit any feet. All this for free, it is truly a thoughtful gift.

Our gift from Evani is their Emma pullover and jeans, which each come in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. There is even a HUD included with various texture choices for the ribbons in the back, 9 velvet and 9 taffeta. This is a great look for when you want to feel relaxed but chic, and either piece can be paired with other wardrobe items if you're feeling creative.

I left the Evani jeans gift on to show you this super fun gift from Caboodle, their Bunny Hoodie - Holo. It includes the shiny shirt in sizes for Maitreya and Hourglass, with the same sized additions for the ears. This way you can decide if you're in the mood to wear it with or without the hood and dangling ears. The shimmery texture means you can dress it up or down, and wear it with just about anything that your imagination can come up with.

I am definitely in the mood for relaxing this weekend, so the gift from OSMIA called Night Party T-shirt & Panties is a perfect choice for me. There are pink and blue versions of both the shirt and panties, with the shirt having a polka dot variety as well as the solid. All are in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes, and I love the paw prints on each top! The panties have a paw print on the rear as well, and read "yes, daddy" on the front beneath a teeny tiny bow. I felt like mixing up the colors, but you can certainly choose to go all pink or all blue. I'm ready to snuggle with an SL furry friend!

Some of the designers were moved by the seasonal spirit to put out more than one gift, as was the case with {le fil casse}. They have their Boardwalk Summer Dress as seen on the left as one of their gifts for us, in sizes for Maitreya and Hourglass, with a flirty short hem and wide V neck that will frame your favorite necklace beautifully. On the right I am enjoying their Hampton Tarte Romper, in a Maitreya size with 3 color combos: blue-blue, blue-white (shown), and blue-black. The boy leg style and large flower on the attached belt make this feel delightfully retro, like I should be lounging at an exclusive resort while listening to swing music and sipping a mint julep. Why yes, my imagination did run away with me there for a second...

Whew, what a day! I had to follow up with the eye doctor about my vitreous detachment, and this was the 3rd of the three docs at this particular practice that I've been examined by now, simply by virtue of timing and vacations. So she was my least favorite of the trio, and I don't feel like she did nearly as thorough of a job checking my eye as the other two, but I don't need to go back for a few months now so it must be progressing well enough. My pupil is still dilated (almost 12 hours later) and it's hard to see clearly, so please excuse any typos. I'm not certain if I will be able to blog tomorrow or not, thanks to a continuing busy schedule, but we'll see what happens. This one almost didn't happen because of a prolonged visit with my parents, and I feel like I'm running on empty. SLFO Hunt Revisited

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more SLFO Hunt gifts to enjoy, with dozens and dozens of generous designers participating by hiding a free orange leaf in their store. We have a handful of days left before the hunt wraps up on the 25th, so pop open their website for your hints and landmarks, and good luck! For tonight's post I found lots of tops to start out, so you can get your favorite jeans, skirts, and leggings ready.

These sweaters both have a cozy feel to them, and great knits in vastly different styles. On the left is our prize from AsHmOoT called A/W SweatShirt Lana, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. I am wearing a favorite Marketplace gift that you'll see here on my blog a lot, jeans by Delizio which come in several colors as system layers plus appliers for Omega and Maitreya.

Caboodle has a trio of shiny sweaters waiting inside their leaf, called Marijane Sweater - Holos. There are holo, pink holo (seen above left) and purple holo (right) each in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Freya. You can really dress these up or down, depending on what you wear beneath them!

!!smesh is offering this playful layered shirt as their hunt prize, and it reads "I am HOT from the inside" on the front. It comes in eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. 

Next we take a look at the hunt prize from Virtual Diva Couture, aptly named Dynamite Dress Carmin. The dress comes in Slink and Maitreya sizes, and the fur is a single size that is a separate piece so you can wear with or without. I'm thinking it would be fun to show up at an event wearing the fur, then remove it after a while to reveal the rest of the dress itself. 

For my final look of the evening, I've selected the prize from [Cynful] called Dream Babe Bodysuit. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass, each in several versions: fabric, fishnet + fabric, fishnet + sheer, fishnet, and sheer. Above I am wearing the fishnet + fabric on the left, sheer on the right. They all have the same combination of pink shades, high cut hips, and terrific straps in the back.

I am not quite sure yet how my holiday plans will affect my blog schedule, but I will try to make sure I keep everyone updated on my facebook page if I have to skip any days. I will have a houseguest from Wednesday night to Friday night, and we will be having Thanksgiving dinner at my grandma's pretty much all afternoon/evening Thursday. There are a few things to do in preparation, but several family members are bringing food so the bulk isn't falling on any one person.
