Designer Showcase Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am helping the Designer Showcase event celebrate their 11th anniversary, a very impressive achievement in the rapidly changing world of SL. How do events usually observe anniversaries or birthdays? With gifts, lots of generous treats to thank people for visiting all these rounds :) There are several gifts available for the free Designer Showcase group, and it is a pleasure as always to tempt you by showing you a sampling of what awaits you there. This round is open until the 25th of January, so we have time to stop by and grab some demos while looking for those gifts and return to do some shopping. I think I have my post-weekend purchases narrowed down to 2 selections, but could wind up splurging a bit more.

My first photo is a bit larger than fits comfortably, so please click for a better view of the WILD Fashion Adriana Gown gift. This dazzling magenta gown starts with the slender mesh strapless dress in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, then we can add the flexi skirt if we wish. As you can see it adds fullness and movement, and if you were a part of SL in pre-mesh days it just might bring some sentimental memories ;) I like the idea of combining mesh with flexi for that old and new blending. 

The gift from [Pink&Love] is a very flirty number called Neptun - Dress & Patches - Cherry. The mini dress has spaghetti straps adorned in gold, and a sheer panel down the front that is quite revealing. To provide a touch of modesty, there are nipple patches and bikini patches each in the same sizes as the dress: Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. Depending on where you go, you can leave off a patch or two, or remove them while romancing that special someone at home. With the patches being heart shaped, and the racy red color, this can be a very useful gift next month for Valentine's Day too!

Next we see the Leonor Outfit -5- gift from ::ALTER::, which is a single mesh piece with the appearance of a cropped jacket, sheer blouse partly unbuttoned, and shorts with the front pockets poking out. Lots of great details! The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. That lopsided button job on the blouse gives off vibes of being done up in a hurry, and the way it almost covers the shorts from behind made me smile too.

{Le'La} had two gifts at different displays, one of which is this eye-catching Cally Romper. She is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body sizes, with a 10 texture HUD so we can change the look with a few quick clicks. There are plenty of animal prints and a wide range of colors, and I love the belt for added flair.

For my final look of the evening, I was eager to share a closer view of the CAZIMI: DS 2022 Gift Nails that I have been wearing throughout tonight. The generous gift includes Maitreya and Omega appliers for nails that are native to mesh bodies, as well as a set of add-on ballerina short mesh nails in Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink sizes. The applier nails have 5 colors with the double chevron design on each one, two shades of purple with white, grey, and black versions too. The mesh nails, shown above, have a HUD with the same 5 color options that can be applied on each mesh nail individually or all 10 at once, as well as gloss levels to select from of matte, satin, or high gloss. I am very grateful for this thoughtful gift, just as I am for all of the treats we can find at Designer Showcase.

Are you excited for the weekend? Mine is dusted with some snow, but I went to dinner at my parents' this evening and got there safely (it is a very short trip) so tomorrow I will be at the farmers market bright and early :) The scarf and gloves set I ordered arrived today, just in time for me to make good use of them in the morning. I will be taking tomorrow evening off from blogging as usual, then returning Sunday evening with a brand new post whose content is still to be determined. Designer Showcase

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some gifts to share from the Designer Showcase, who are celebrating their 9th anniversary this round. It is open until January 28th, so you have a few weeks to visit and pick up some demos to do your shopping. While you're there, be sure to join their free group if you aren't already a member, and claim some anniversary gifts :) Those will be what I am showing you tonight, as you probably guessed, and I am quite pleased to do so. These are such talented designers, who are kindly helping us celebrate the event's anniversary with quality treats.

My first look comes from [WellMade] and is their chic Loren Dress with halter neckline and unique hem with slits and straps. The gift includes fitmesh standard sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, plus a terrific HUD with 20 color options. I even noticed that there is a black zipper pull on the back, a realistic touch in a neutral color to go with all 20 choices for the dress hues. 

This glamorous dress is the group gift from Entice called Ain't Misbehavin' - Lilac. It is provided in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes, and really captivated me with the intricate silver embroidery as well as the gorgeous details in the back. The scalloped hemline is a fantastic touch too!

Celestina's Weddings is offering their Olivia Cocktel Dress Set/Lila as their gift for the Designer Showcase anniversary. It includes the dress with plunging neckline in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, plus the heels in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High sizes. There are even lovely chandelier earrings included in this generous gift to really highlight the shimmery texture.

Our gift from WILD Fashion is their Victoria Peplum Dress and Heels, and I must say that black and gold always look amazing together :) The dress comes in plenty of mesh sizes for everyone: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Curvy. The shoes include Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink High versions, and are a great match for the dress.

For my final look of the evening, I had some fun with the gift from CAZIMI called Moony Nail Appliers. They are offering HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, with 5 pearly pastel colors each accentuated by a cream colored moon at the cuticle. I personally like the idea of pastel colors for winter, maybe because they look pretty with white like snow.

My day worked out pretty well, not that having blood drawn is ever fun but at least the lab I go to has two very experienced nurses who are both excellent at their jobs. Happy Anniversary Uber

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit Uber, the very popular event that is celebrating its 5th anniversary this round with gifts from nearly every participating designer. No group is needed, just patience to click all those gifts ;) It opened on the 25th and is still quite crowded, so you may wind up having to teleport to one of their cam shopping sims (Harajuku and Daze Retreat) and using your camera controls to explore the main sim and pick up all the gifts. That is what I did, and it worked perfectly. There are so many generous and talented designers who take part, I truly feel it is worth the effort.

My first look contains two gifts from Bombshell, well really 4 since it is two colors with two patterns each. On the left I am wearing Fernanda in Baby Pink version 1, on the left in Yellow version 2. One of the versions adds white and grey stripes instead of different shades of the main hue. Each color and version is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, and Maitreya mesh bodies.

I combined 3 terrific gifts to create this fun look :) The top is the Mimiki Crop Top Bonnie black, provided for us in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. Its gathered style and bare shoulders add to the flirt factor. My skirt is from N-Uno and called Uber Gift // Skirt // Maitreya, so you can guess what size it comes in ;) It is very short with a satiny finish and vibrant coloring. I also decided to add a necklace to this look, the ~Nerido~ Noir Choker(Maitreya)-Black. It has a black ribbon with a tiny gem dangling from the front, and a delicate silver chain draped beneath. 

Sometimes I really yearn for something frilly and feminine, and if you do too then the gift from {ViSion} will fulfill that craving. It is their lovely Lingerie Victoria Gift @Uber and consists of the bra and panties each in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes. I decided this look could use a touch of jewelry too, so I added the .BF. Britty Choker from BEAUTY FACTORY. There are two separate chokers to wear together or separately, the top one with a single gem and the lower with 4 gems and a long dangling chain in the front with a fifth gem at the end. There is also a HUD that allows you to choose from 7 gem colors and 4 metals, so this is one versatile gift.

So many designers are celebrating this anniversary with double gifts, aren't they thoughtful? This pair of dresses comes from {le fil casse}, The Catherine Maitreya Fitted Dress in Mist on the left, Navy on the right. They are both decorated with lace at the deep neckline, and ruffles on the short flirty skirt. 

My final look tonight is a wonderful set of manicures from CAZIMI, their Tropical Punch Nail Appliers Gift. It includes appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, with 5 designs tipped in pearly silver. I love the various shades pulled from the pattern, they mix and match really well or you can select one to go with your favorite outfit.

Group Gifts for SLF&O

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some group gifts to share for the SLF&O group, which is short for SL Frees & Offers. Their group is free to join, and there are many participating designers who offer gifts at their stores to anyone sporting the group's tag. It is also a helpful source of information about sales, events, and limited time discounts. The group chat usually has great things like midnight mania locations that need clicking at the time, or random freebies that can really help fill out a wardrobe. Tonight's looks can help you do the same, as we visit the stores of some very talented and generous designers.

First we have the SLFO gift from .:AMUI:. called Antoinette Black. To find this, go into the store and turn right, turn right again through a doorway, then turn around and look to the left of the doorway where you'll see the SLFO sign and this gift :) It includes the beautiful dress in fitmesh standard sizing as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, plus the collar which is a stunning necklace. 

Belle Epoque is offering their lovely {Lauren} dress as the SLFO gift, and it comes in a single mesh size rigged for Maitreya bodies. I love the color, and the wide neckline will be a nice frame for your favorite necklace. The belt you see is built in, so easy to wear.

This charming dress is courtesy of Continuum, their Cassandra Sakura Dress Gift. It comes in sizes for Altamura, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, all in that fun halter style with heart cutout and terrific floral pattern.

I can't get over this delightfully fuzzy gift from {amiable} called Angola Knit One-piece Green. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP sizing, with a lacy trim at the hem that reminds me of bloomers. There could still be some breezy evenings since summer isn't fully here yet, and this will be one of my go-to outfits in that case.

Tonight I am wearing the stiletto nails that come with the Slink mesh hands, and have been pleased to decorate them with another group gift for SLFO. Treat Yourself at Designer Showcase

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have lots of wonderful things from Designer Showcase to show you, the exclusive offer from Entice as well as some more group gifts for their 8th anniversary. I'm going to try to keep the commentary relatively short and sweet tonight, so let's get to those looks! :)

These cozy looks are the exclusive Designer Showcase offer from Entice called Baby Love Coat -  Plaid, and I'm wearing two choices from the fatpack which is $450L. That is discounted from their usual fatpack price, and there are individual plaid versions for $150L each (also reduced from regular prices) if you prefer. The fatpack offers another bonus besides the 2 extra colors, that would be the HUD to change each part individually: main, buttons, belt, undercoat, and fur. No matter what you choose, the coat dress itself comes in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya to fit the most popular mesh bodies.

DE.Boutique has a flirty gift for us, their Ode to Curves Red which consists of the dress in fitmesh standard sizes along with a mesh body size, and the matching heels which fit my Slink High feet perfectly. I love the bow in the back, and those dramatic double straps!

This next gift is revealing in multiple ways, from the sheer fabric to the bum-cleavage-baring back. It is the Gouttes d'or Dress by zOOm, and is the choice for when you are feeling daring :) The gift includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine.

To show you the gift from 1 Hundred., I had to break out the modesty flowers again in Photoshop ;) The sheer section on top of their Little Lace Dress. Melon showed things a bit too clearly, unlike the lace of the prior dress, so I added those black flowers to the photo (they are NOT in SL at all and definitely not part of the dress). So pretty, and these neutrals are sure to work well with your favorite outfits.

Tomorrow I have special plans that involve seeing family members (both blood and chosen family) that I didn't get to see yet for the holidays, so I won't have time to get a blog post together for tomorrow evening. Women Only Weekend

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am sharing some more Women Only Hunt 5 prizes, all found for free inside hidden coconut halves. Just open the website and use it to guide you through the hunt path, and the provided hints will be helpful tracking down these goodies too. The hunt lasts until the 18th, so you have just about a week to finish collecting all the prizes. There is also a Men Only Hunt running at the same time (some of the same stores but not all) so be sure to tell all your favorite guys because they don't generally get that many opportunities to be spoiled with freebies.

My first look this evening is a stunning dress from Kaithleen's called Basic Pencil Dress - Grey, but I would say it is anything but basic! From the front you will notice the sheen and the sleek seams, then from behind you get to appreciate the taut zipper and unique hem. The dress comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, and there is also a HUD included that lets you choose from 4 metal colors for the zipper.

This flowing strapless top is our prize from -Ema's Secret- and is their WOH Exclusive Top so the only way you'll be able to get this lovely gift is to find the coconut. The details really make it, from the lacing to the handkerchief hemline. I especially like the lace overlay, purple and black always look so pretty together.

Bakaboo has an intriguing prize for us called Haute Couture Poncho and Pants WOH, and it really caught my eye as soon as I tried it on. The poncho top and the pants are each provided in standard fitmesh sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. I am a bit hesitant sometimes when it comes to mixing prints, but the golden color in each pulls these together wonderfully. 

When you find the coconut at Look at Me, you will be rewarded with their Sassy Dress in several varieties. For my final look of the evening, I am serving up some refreshing lemonade. Depths of Winter Hunt

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have several gifts to show you from the Depths of Winter Hunt, which is a $1L gridwide hunt with a 3D snow scene (logs, evergreen tree) as the unique hunt object. The website has a page for the hunt prizes and another for the hints, but both have the locations for the stores on them which is very helpful. Have one of them open if you plan on exploring the whole hunt path before it wraps up on the 31st, since there are no landmarks in the prize folders so the website is the source. This way you can navigate how you choose, any order and any number of prizes you like.

My first look is a beautiful gown from COVETED! called Malin Palace Gown & Tiara, which you can claim for just a linden by finding the wintry hunt object. The colors and the scale pattern really accentuated the mermaid style, and it is such fun to have a tiara to add even more sparkle to this fancy look. The shimmer is actually subtle from a distance, but up close and personal you can appreciate the texture even more.

It was a very nice Friday here, delicious Thai food with my family and then some fun and games :) It is entertaining to get a few people with quirky senses of humor together and watch them just let loose with the comedy. Rally To Rescue

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am honored to tell you about a charity event that is starting in just a few hours, called Rally To Rescue. There is a wide variety of items for sale at the event, all of which are 100% donations to a charity to support animals in need. This round, their chosen charity is Operation Delta Dogs which is registered as a No Kill animal shelter that trains dogs to become service dogs for Veterans. I truly admire the dedication of the people who are working so hard to assist those who fought for our country, and am grateful for all the designers who have donated items to raise money for this cause. Please look around (event dates October 1st - October 20th) and see what catches your eye, and while you are at the event you can also donate by clicking one of the kiosks you will find there. While I was out earlier, I saw a lot of happy dogs being walked by their loving humans, and one simple observation really got me thinking. In a Starbucks parking lot, the car next to us had 2 ladies that looked to be mother and daughter, and 2 little dogs that looked to be the same breed, maybe maltese or poodle mix. The daughter went inside, the mom stayed in the car with the puppies and kept them entertained :) She rolled her window down for a bit so one could put his face out into the nice breeze and bark at a passing person, and she gave them both lots of kisses while they waited impatiently for their other person. So it hit me, these two were so fortunate to have loving humans in their lives who clearly take excellent care of them and dote on them. These Rally To Rescue events are to help the dogs who aren't so fortunate, who still need to find their forever home or need our efforts to get them the training they need to assist a brave person who needs them. I have to be honest, I was a bit misty eyed from the thoughts swirling in my head, because I know how much joy a furry friend (or feathered or scaly, etc.) can bring, and how they all deserve love.
