POSH Event Slays

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the POSH Event, where there are some free group gifts at various displays but also a new twist, the SlayHER Hunt. This has us looking by the displays and in the cemetery in the middle of the event building, for cats with pumpkins who give free gifts when clicked. I had a lot of fun exploring, and found lots of treats that I am pleased to share with you here. The group is free to join and needed to click the cats as well as the gifts in traditional giftboxes, so I am not really distinguishing between them here which is partly because I lost track ;)

For my first look of the night, I got fancy with our YENI GOWN by BA Store gift. Black Angel is offering a long elegant gown in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies. We also receive a HUD with 20 colors of the subtle scale pattern you see above, and I love them all! I went with earthy, autumn colors for the image to go with the general theme of our event.

I am such a fan of the .:BARRIO:. Lazie Set Treat gift, which almost reminds me of a chalkboard being decorated with neon chalks or markers for the holiday :) The tank dress has built in panties, and fits eBody, eBody Juicy Boobs, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Peach mesh bodies. It's tempting to add a pair of leggings beneath for cooler weather, but it's still fairly warm in RL here so I am good with the outfit as-is.

One of several prizes from Summer On The Hill Boutique is their [SOTH] Marriott Dragoncon Outfit I'm enjoying above. The pattern reminds me of mosaic artwork, great shades of blue with gold and red. Our strapless top and flirty skirt each come in Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. You can probably tell from the rear view that the skirt lifts up on the right side, flashing a little booty, and there is also a thong panty built into the skirt so there is a bit of modesty.

Next I almost took very adult photos with the intention of censoring them in photoshop, but instead I remembered these pasties I have :) The event gift is our HORL - Ella Harness, separate top and bottom pieces that will fit Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. This outfit is basically comprised of straps and metallic closures, very intricate and beautifully crafted. Of course this is not an adult blog so I needed to hide the essentials, lol, so that brings us to the E C R U: Modesty Tattoos which are a free gift from the marketplace. They are BOM layers and we receive upper, lower, and a full layer that includes both, so that last one is the one I chose. They are tintable, but I left them default white to really show off the contrast. What color would you have tinted them?

One final look of the evening, I slipped into the Luna Chelsea gift called RUNE STYLE SET 5. This playful outfit includes the top, sleeves, skirt, and boots, all in sizes for Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn bodies. The hat I'm wearing is also included (and as usual I am not wearing hat-friendly hair, oopsie) and there is a black bucket bag which is not shown. On the right I removed the hat and sleeves, so you could get an idea of the versatility of having so many potential components that we can wear all at once or a bit more pared down. The gold crescent moons look great against the purple, and I certainly feel magical!

Today did not go as smoothly as I'd have liked, but I was glad to see my parents for dinner. Getting there and even more so getting home were not great, and my stomach is still reacting to the anxiety. I have no idea what to expect from Sunday's therapy session, as I am still backsliding from my own point of view at least. There is no lunch special at the farmers market tomorrow, so I don't know yet what I'll be eating but I have some leftovers (gluten free chicken tenders) from dinner that are sounding like a good idea for tomorrow's dinner. I've started visiting the Halloween Shop & Hop, always a fun experience and loaded with blogging potential :) There are several other events and hunts for me to check out this weekend too, never a dull moment in SL. Sexy POSH Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the August round of the POSH Event, which is open each month from the 1st to the 20th. In addition to some really wonderful offers, I found some free group gifts that I believe will tempt you :) The POSH group is free to join, and there are usually gifts each round so it is well worth a repeat visit. These gifts tonight are so revealing that I found myself using some pasties I found on the marketplace as a free gift, as you will see shortly.

My first look is two of several gifts from .iAmH3r!, but these two are in the gift found at the .iAmH1M! display :) The tied tube top is the .iAmH3r! - Cand1ce! Top - H3rmain, which includes sizing for Freya, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. It has the same geometric pattern as the Pr1ma! Pant - H3rmain gift, a perfect match in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizing. There is also a men's gift inside the gift box here, so I'm guessing this part of the brand covers both.

I kept the Pr1ma! Pant - H3rmain gift on here but changed into one of the 4 gifts from the generous .iAmH3r! gift, their R1ah! Top - Blue. This shredded style is such a playful look, and there are sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies provided. Such a pretty soft blue, too!

Here's where the pasties I mentioned start to really come in handy ;) They are the E C R U Modesty Tattoos and I am wearing the version with both upper and lower coverings. This marketplace treat consists of system/BOM layers in versions with just the upper pasties, just the lower one, or both at once. You can edit them to tint them if you wish to try to match your skin tone, which I did not do because I wanted you to be able to see exactly where they cover. My seductive dress is the .iAmH3r! - Pam3la! Net Mini - Blue gift, another of their 4 goodies inside their giftbox. It includes Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and has daring tears that reveal extra flashes of skin. 

Another provocative look from that same gift box is this striking .iAmH3r! - J3ssica! Mini - Blue Latex. It is strapless with sharp points on the neckline, and piercings attached to the outer nipple area. The gold piercings and zipper pull are intricate crosses, and that front zipper is opened towards the bottom so the lower pasty is revealed ;) Perhaps you have a pair of panties you'd prefer to match it with? This gift comes in sizes for Erika, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

For my final look this evening, I kept the pasties on because Luna Chelsea got their flirt on too! This is their FELICITY DRESS gift, a sheer halter mini trimmed in latex. It fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Kupra (Bimbo, Low, Original), Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is a notecard that explains why there is no HUD, but we can still change colors if we right click the item in inventory and 'touch', to bring up a menu with 9 color families that each have several choices of hues to tint our dress. This style really does look sharp in any color, whether bold or pastel, since it's mostly about showing off your assets. 

I am really in a strange mood lately when it comes to hair and skin, like I can't seem to settle on what look I want! Maybe it's from not being entirely satisfied with the tweaks to my new mesh head, so I am making easier changes to my general appearance. It was a quiet day at home here, but I don't feel like I got very restful sleep so I am on the tired side. It can be so disorienting to technically get sleep without it being as rejuvenating as we need, as I'm sure you've all experienced at some point or another, and I will just hope for the best later when I try again :) I hope you're all having a fantastic day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

DAZZLE and QUEENZ

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am enjoying an exclusive hairstyle from DAZZLE, whose Fifty Shades of Autumn theme is open until the 25th of September. As for clothing, I visited QUEENZ whose group is free to join, and had lots of fun showing off some of their many group gifts for you. They are very flattering with my new Slink Hourglass body, so I am feeling curvy and flirty :)

First I will give you all the details about my fun new 'do. It is from Ecru and is named Violet, and you can purchase the fatpack at DAZZLE for $399L or pick up one of the 5 individual color packs for $199L. There are two sections that can be colored, and the hair is unrigged with a resize script when you click it. As you can guess, the shade above is from the Redheads pack :) My outfit is one of the group gifts available from QUEENZ, this one being their .Q. Induce - FATPACK. It includes the top and skirt each in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Katena Regular sizing. There is also a HUD provided with 8 colors for each piece, and two metals for the rings on the skirt.

I changed my hair with the Black & White colors HUD, and slipped into the .Q. Exclusive Gift of two different color Tomboy tops and long shorts. Each piece comes in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Katena Regular. The pattern on the top reminds me of the checkered flag at races, and it will make an appearance in another look tonight.

I was so intrigued with the various fantasy shades for the Violet hair that I decided to display a few here, and on the left I even chose two different ones so you see the sections tinted separately. As for the outfit, it is another QUEENZ group gift called .Q. June - July Gift, consisting of the bra top and the panties with attached suspenders. Each come in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Katrena Regular sizes, with a HUD that lets you choose from 4 colors each for top and bottom. 

For this look, I went Brunette and am wearing the enchanting .Q. November Gift dress. The style has a plunging neckline held in place with a single strap that doubles as a collar, and the body hugging skirt really shows off these curves. The group gift includes sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Katena Regular. 

Ecru's chic Violet hair looks terrific in Blonde, and I chose a mid tone rather than going platinum or pale strawberry, just for fun :) That checkered pattern is on display again here with the .Q. Babygirl -FATPACK- of a knotted tee and high cut panties. They each come in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Katena Regular (a common size set among QUEENZ fashions, as they seem to cater to curves) and includes a HUD with 4 colors for each piece. The panties are a thong style in the rear, as you can tell from my almost-modest side view.

It was a weird evening, spent looking at old photos and helping my mom sort through them. She has been showing them to my grandmother in an effort to jog her memory (her long term is better than short term, results of a stroke and being almost 93) but the problem is that my ex is in a bunch...this makes her get stuck on asking about him over and over, if I still talk to him (hell no!) and it makes my mom uncomfortable. Let's just say it was not a friendly breakup, although long enough ago that seeing the pictures doesn't upset me. I wish him well from afar, but the farther the better. Now I am focused on a hectic weekend, for which I hope you all have exciting plans or a nice relaxing couple of days ahead, whatever suits you best. Magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Free Dove Hunt - *UniQue* BoutiQue

Hiya everyone! Tonight I get to show you the third of the 3 monthly Free Dove hunts that I completed, this designer is *UniQue* BoutiQue and are offering 10 free prizes hidden in bright pink flowers around the Free Dove store. Since the prizes inside are geared towards the default avatar, I decided to let my MidnightMagpie alt (Maggie for short) model these. While I have not found any new 30 days and under gifts for her, she is only wearing completely free items including a couple of the under 30 days gifts I've already shared. 

Prize #1 from the hidden flowers is this Moss Dress, which consists of a charmingly textured system top and glitch pants, a system skirt, scarf, and 2 prim skirt pieces for left and right lower legs. Once upon a time before mesh became popular, many shapes had skirt versions because the system skirts pretty much need a size 0 butt to look right from behind. I am wearing one of the many free shoes found in the Under 30 Days gift from ECRU, their former brand CHoOoZ Moloko in Gold. If you or anyone you know has an avatar under 30 days old, they need to visit ECRU and get dozens of fatpacks of their old shoes :) This style has tintable feet, as do most of them, but the HUD wasn't too bad to work with.

Another fun *UniQue* BoutiQue gift is #2, Grace in Red and Green, which is a combo of system layers, mesh, and flexi. The mesh dress comes in standard sizes, then there is a prim skirt and a flowing train, along with the system layer gloves for added pizazz. Although the colors sound like Christmas, the purple tones in the dress give it an entirely different feel.

This is actually two different hunt prizes, but since they match I decided to share them at the same time. On the left is #3 Mesh Frilly Shirt in Pink, which comes in standard sizes and includes the system layer hot pants shown. On the right you can see #5 Mesh Frilly Shirt in Blue, same standard mesh sizes and the system layer pants are called Dark Shorts. If you find them both, you may decide to mix and match with the shorts as I probably would.

This lovely dress is called Sugar Bomb in Pink and Purple, and can be found in the hidden flower #6. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus a fitted version, and there is another color combination hidden in a different flower so keep looking ;) Even the clutch bag is included for easy accessorizing.

One last look of the night, this is prize #7 called Lola Eleven, and this cutie comes in standard mesh sizes. I love the flirty skirt, and the chevron design of the sequined top. The other prizes include a gift card for their store and a pair of blue sandals with tintable feet built in.

A few notes, let's start with the skin and shape...I visited WoW Skins and was pretty fortunate at their lucky boards, which do not need a group tag and change every 2 minutes. This is their Aleida Milk skin, and in a separate prize I got the Grace shape (and skin, not shown) which I edited somewhat to make it a bit more 'me'. Well, more 'Maggie'. I also have a hair note, as this is an adorable group gift from Gacha Garden (free to join their group), one of many gifts I might add, this one from ^.^Ayashi^.^ called Yoko hair in Anime. There is a HUD for several color choices, I just really liked this pastel pinkish blonde.

I hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening, mine has been fairly quiet. In the morning I go back to the doctor and see why the week of having a cushion taped to the bottom of my foot has made things worse instead of better. There is going to be a special event for dogs at the local farmers market, and while I don't have a dog I do love seeing other people's happy friendly cuties. More Newbie Gifts and Free Dove

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a few more gifts for new residents to show you, with the help of my new alt MidnightMagpie, a.k.a. Maggie. She buzzed around the grid like a busy little bee, and discovered that many of the places on the notecard included in a prior newbie gift no longer exist to give out more gifts. I took her to Free Dove for some freebie retail therapy, where we found some cute items for avatars of all ages. Sometimes the day we plan isn't the day we get, yet still turns out to be beneficial :)

My first photo is from the newbie gift at Sassy, which is conveniently located near their lucky chairs and group gifts. For the under 30 days old crowd, just click the Jasmine Full Avatar poster and you will be given a generous package including the Cami Top in black (also a white version) and Capri Jeans seen on the left, Buttoned Sweater Pink and Side Button Skirt Black with skirt prims shown on the right, the shoes you see on both sides, plus a slew of goodies not shown: 3 hairs, 2 skins, a shape, a facelight, and a pair of red/black shoes. Everything is for default avatars, no mesh feet/bodies needed. 

Next I thoroughly enjoyed pairing a Free Dove gift for all ages with one of the maaaany shoes from ECRU for new residents. The clothing is the *VEXTRA.co* Pretty Wave Top & Bodycon Mini found at Free Dove, in a single mesh size each with alphas. The shoes are CHoOoZ "Zahara" Suede in Midnight, part of the Zahara fatpack that is one of at least a dozen or so fatpacks given to residents under 60 days old. There are so many different styles, including ones with prim feet that need tinting to match your skin, in a terrific assortment of colors for any outfit or mood. You will need to find a sandbox to unpack them all, so I suggest listening to your favorite music and having an unpacking party somewhere, solo or with a new friend.

Another fun outfit from Free Dove is courtesy of Sweet Tea, who have gone with the bird theme of the store (as many do) with the dove print on the pants and sneakers. So what does this gift for all ages hold? We have the tank top on the left, long sleeve shirt on the right, jeggings in both sides, sneakers for default feet, and even a HUD with appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega for mesh body wearers. Complete matching outfits do make Maggie feel less awkward, it's a reassuring feeling to look pulled together.

One more treat from Free Dove, this is Prism Nisha by Journey that includes the system layer shirt and the mesh skirt in standard sizes. On my feet I am sporting another color from that Zahara suede fatpack from the newbie gift from ECRU. I believe they rebranded from CHoOoZ to ECRU and this is a clever way to ensure that their older work goes to good use :) This pair is the Silver shade from the fatpack, a nice neutral for a summer evening.

Hair note of the night: I am enjoying the blonde look for Maggie, courtesy of Free Dove and the Rezology gift there called Save the Queen mesh hair. It includes a HUD with 6 shades of blonde and brunette, and is a versatile style. I am still loving the newbie gift skin/shape from Pink Fuel, since those are such basic needs I really appreciate the simple beauty. I decided today to go with a new eye color, so I chose a gorgeous green (Spring) from the newbie gift at .::IM CaPPed::. which is their Soul Windows - Moppet pack of 10 lovely eyes whose color names include chocolate, citrus, deeper, frosted, honey, lush, midnight, nectar, and something blue.

My thoughts so far in this experiment on what new residents would most benefit from: we need more hair and better AO's, as I found the same AO as a free gift in at least 3 places but it's the one where you check both feet to see what you stepped in >.< Now I know why that AO is literally everywhere, it's a common gift for newbies and there aren't many other options out there. I also think we would benefit from more updated lists being distributed of where newbies can locate gifts and advice, to help them on the wonderful journey of Second Life.
