Dreaming With Dove

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're back at the Doves Dream event, with lots of exclusive offers and a group gift at nearly every display. The group is the same as for Palomma Plaza, an all free bounty of gifts where The Free Dove used to be. We lost Palomma "Dove" Casanova in 2023, but her spirit of generosity lives on as long as we still honor her memory :) Her RL birthday was the 11th which was the opening date of this annual event, and we have until the 11th of April to complete our shopping and gift claiming. I've got tons of treats to show you from this sweet event, so this is part two of who knows how many posts ;) 

I started the evening with our MadCatCreations gift called MCC - woman - tank dress pink latex. They also have a men's gift too, and a full perm version at a different booth, so that's a triple thank you to them :) Our tank dress comes in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, Mounds, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies. The texture  is such a fun one, with the highlights from the shine of the latex!

Our ALWAYS BLOSSOM Teresa Dress Spring Colors gift has several pastel hues on their HUD that we can choose from, but black is also an option if you prefer :) There are a total of 5 colors on that HUD and the ability to adjust the sheerness of the solid (non-lace) portions of the dress, so it is quite versatile. The dress itself fits Erika, Legacy, Bombshell, Free, Perky, Lucy Body, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, Ncore, Prima, Petite, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies. The lace portion does reveal some booty cleavage back there, lol, so choose your destination wisely ;) I say that because I don't want anyone kicked out of their favorite hangout or shopping spots, no shade intended.

I added a little something extra for this look, an additional gift as a matter of fact :) The OH PAIR ! CATALEYA DRESS GIFT is a cleverly designed minidress with straps that create sexy cutouts, and those sheer lacy sleeves are so pretty. We receive sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. My addition is the stunning .:UIS:. Chest - Angel 01 BW tattoo from Urban Ink Studios, which is one of 2 gifts I found from them :) It is provided as BOM layers in 60%, 80%, and 100% opacities, and I'm wearing the 80% here. I always recommend trying them each on and deciding which you personally lean towards, I mean they are all in there for a reason :) The angel's wings stretch so gracefully across the collarbone area, and a strapless top would reveal this artwork nicely too.

Next I changed into the Asteria "Jojo" Gift for Doves, which consists of the dress and a separate halter so you can wear them together or enjoy the dress on its own. Each is included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Senra Jamie mesh body sizes, along with a HUD that has 4 metals for the harness hoops. The dress color makes me think of mourning doves, as they are a creamy grey rather than a bluish tone usually, and I adore the style of this dress both with and without the harness.

I am one of the rare people out there whose life gets busier on the weekends rather than during the week, so they don't have quite the same party feeling for me. Not that they're bad or anything, but I do spend most of the week at home usually. So tonight was dinner at my parents', and tomorrow morning is a farmers market that I can't wait to visit :) I've been concerned about my friend's husband (also a friend, the couple from my Thursday gaming nights) who had a medical procedure done today, but he is home and recovering so that is a huge relief. Tomorrow's featured lunch vendor at the market is the hot dog truck, and their special for St. Patrick's Day is a hot dog with corned beef, kraut, Swiss cheese, and green mustard...that's about 4 reasons for a big hell no from me, LOL. I miss Irish potato candies, which I used to get each year from one of the vendors who has retired. Recently found out they are mostly a local thing, so I'll explain that there is no potato involved other than the shape - cream cheese, powdered sugar, and coconut mixed and rolled into small balls that are then rolled in cinnamon. I'm probably missing an ingredient there, vanilla perhaps. I haven't made them myself in about 30 years so it's hard to recall. Sense Event Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I'd like to invite you to the final week of the SENSE Event and their 7th anniversary round. Because of several holiday chaos, lol, I didn't find out about it until now (looks like it started on the 18th so a week before Christmas) but we do have until the 8th of this month to enjoy. They are celebrating the traditional SL way, with group gifts available for members of their free group at many of the displays. Most are in cute black bags with the Sense logo that includes an infinity symbol ∞, and the event's group is free to join. I have so many treats to share and I'm really excited and happy for them, and looking forward to many more years of visiting them.

First we get a little wild with the [[2Love]] Rebeca Halter dress [p19] gift, with an animal print that works so well with the crossed halter neck and gathered tied skirt. There are sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies included. I like taking pictures here on the deck of my skybox because there is some lighting inside that is just close enough to bring out the shine in clothing that is designed with materials enabled :)

The [ZEX] Pop Fluffy Sweater & Skirt * Pinky gift makes me happy for a whole host of reasons, like the snuggly appearance of the sweater and the playful pleats on the short skirt. The brand is also a familiar sight to me since I was visiting them everyday for their Advent calendar last month, big fan :) So this sweet set includes the sweater and skirt each in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. The dip in the waist to just show off a hint of navel is a fun touch too, and the rear view shows just a hint of cheek since most skirts in SL are shorter in the back. 

Next I got to see how versatile the OH PAIR! SHONA gift is, as it can be worn with just the dress or we can add the included long sleeves. They each come in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu sizing, and the dress has some intricate slender straps doubling up and tied in pretty bows on the bodice. I feel like I'd usually seen this brand offering shoes at events, so I thought their name was a nod to pairs of shoes but it sure seems they do clothing as well :) I like seeing people branching out like that, as it helps keep SL interesting.

I'm sure you can guess that I carefully chose a pose here, since the [SaraFashion] DRESS AURORA gift has a sheer bra cup on the left ;) It also features a lacy translucent right short sleeve, and there is a small lace inset on the right of the skirt so this baby is all about the details. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD offering 15 lovely colors. 

My final look of the night is a terrific manicure set from Moonie, their Winter Round Nails. This gift includes the mesh nails in sizing for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn hands, as well as a HUD with 5 designs for each pair of nails meaning both thumbs, both index fingers, etc. :) Easy to wear, we just hide our body's native nails with the body's HUD and add the matching size from this folder to our outfit. The solid red and solid blue can work for absolutely any season, and the red and blue snowflake prints are fun for this time of year. As for the bow that looks like a present, we can wear it to someone's birthday celebration or even on our own rezday, just as a couple of examples. I am a firm believer that many seasonal gifts don't have to be limited to one particular day or time of year if we think flexibly. 

Whew, it was quite an adventurous day for a homebody like me ;) I went to a Whole Foods that is further than I'd been going, and it was pretty crowded by the time we got there so it was definitely stressful. I picked up a few things and made it through the journey, despite all the anxiety, and just now I watched my hockey team lose. Sigh. They do a west coast trip every year at this time, and sometimes they go really poorly. I love them anyway because I have done so for several decades, lol, but they need to get their poop in a group. Tomorrow I'm planning on a part two of the Sense event gifts before it gets too late to share them, particularly with a weekend in the mix so I'll have a day off and the grid will be jam packed with visitors. The Wash and Fashion Dazzle

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some great selections from two different events to share, so this post is bursting with exciting photos and information. The Wash Cart Sale is celebrating their 10th anniversary with this autumn round of $10L and $50L cart offers, many free gifts, and even gachas in the laundromat (northeast corner) on the sim. The other delightful event we will be seeing items from is Fashion Dazzle, brought to you by the same special lady as Free Dove, with whom it shares a peacefully decorated sim. I am starting off this post with a bang, in two extremely sexy outfits that look great with my new hair. This is the Firelight Polaria hair that is discounted for Fashion Dazzle, so you can choose an individual color pack (Blacks, Blonds, Browns, Reds, Essentials) with 12 shades each for just $99L, regularly $250L each. Or you can treat yourself to the full fatpack with all color HUDs for only $249L, which is regularly $599L. On the left I'm wearing a shade from the Reds, on the right is a lovely Blonds tone. These stunning boots are found at Fashion Dazzle as well, an offer from Oh Pair called Sheridan and selling for just $175L. They come in sizes for Belleza Freya, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, and Slink Physique, and include a great HUD with 24 color choices each for main, sole, heel, and laces, plus 4 camo-type patterns that cover all parts at once. My outfits are both from the Wash Cart Sale, found on the K&A Design cart for $10L each...on the left I am sporting their K&A Design - Cedar Dress Set (Brown Plaid) whose top and skirt are each provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Physique. It looks to be materials enabled, as I was picking up some red sheen from ambient light in my skybox. On the right is the K&A Design - Twisted Dress (Cats) which is included in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. This is the same stunning Firelight Polaria hair in two shades from the Browns HUD, and we are ready for cooler temperatures in two selections from the Baci cart at the Wash Cart Sale. If you noticed that my hair suddenly got darker and more dramatic, good eye!
