Hiya everyone! Most of the prizes I've shared from the Twisted Hunt have had necklines that would not have showcased necklaces to their full advantage, so I found one that would and decided to make it a jewelry night :) There are some lovely gifts here, so I hope you enjoy.
Let's start by talking about the clothing that is the base of all these photos tonight...this eye-catching lingerie is the prize from +Facepalm+ (#56) and is a system tattoo layer shown (yes, seriously, that's just a tattoo LOL) with a mega HUD that offers appliers for Belleza, Slink, Omega, Eve, and Maitreya. This first set of jewelry is the Twisted Odyssey Gold/Onyx Jewelry Set from Secrets of Gaia who are #1 in the hunt path. Find their cube and you will receive the necklace, earrings, bracelets, crown, and tiara you see above. Note about the tiaras, there are two versions and the one shown in the inset is the smaller front whereas the regular one is more like the crown from the main photo in size.
Next we have a bold set from #10 Chop Zuey called Chains of Calypso. This prize includes the necklace, bracelets, and earrings you see here, each with a built in resize script. These beauties are wonderful for when you want your jewelry to make a statement.
Necklaces galore! Chaos, Panic, & Disorder is known for their generosity in hunts with several prizes for each, and I find they have a great attention to detail. They are #19 in the hunt path and actually have 7 different prizes, 3 of which are shown above. The main photo is An Offering to the Shades for women (the mens' is another hidden prize) and looks like an elegant potion bottle. The inset shows the Lotus Eater Necklace for women on the top and Polyphemus Choker for women on the bottom, each of which have a mens' version hidden somewhere in the store. I am loving the antique look of the gold for all these necklaces! I knew that Polyphemus was a cyclops so wasn't entirely surprised by the creepy-cool eye on that choker, and I'm familiar with the Lotus Eaters story, but the Offering to the Shades is eluding me as to its origins.
My last dazzler of the night is prize #29 from Spyralle, their Odyssey Necklace. They specialize in fractal patterns and you can see that works very nicely with the ocean waves of the necklace. Since the theme colors are a suggestion but not a requirement, it is fun to see a pop of bright color, too.
My nail note of the night is another Twisted prize, #74 from DP - Koffin Nails Fat Pack - Greek Deco. I know you can't see them in most of the photos, so stay tuned and you'll be seeing them again and closer soon :)

Hiya everyone! It is now day 4 of the 24-day Advent calendars across the grid, so there are plenty of treasures out there to suit every taste. Just remember, I am only showing a tiny glimpse of the dozens of stores who are generously giving out all these amazing gifts, so have fun and I hope you find stores to visit that make you smile with their gifts.
I had to start with this gorgeous dress from Roots & Wings, and if you saw the announcement last night about the Pantone color of the year for 2016, you may recognize the shades Rose Quartz and Serenity both represented here. The dress is rose quartz with a beautiful lace overlay, and the flowing ribbon belt is the shade called serenity. I think they look wonderful on this dress, and if you want your own free copy then head on over, join the free group, and claim your gift!
The next Advent gift I am sharing actually has a few similarities, a slightly brighter shade of pink and another ribbon/bow belt, oh and even a lace pattern. This is Fools Rush In by Entice, and you will need their free group tag to claim this one as well. So here I am, trying to show you one of the gifts from Emerald Couture (similar to one I showed recently in green) when the Advent gift from the KittyCatS calendar decided to make a big appearance and a mess! The dress is called Ravishing Red Gown and includes system top and bottom with Maitreya, Belleza, and Omega appliers, along with mesh skirt panels in 5 sizes, and matching shoes that are hiding under the flexi attachments for each leg. My jewelry is from Chaos, Panic, & Disorder! whose Advent calendar does not require a group to claim today's Gothmas Set. That includes the Gothmas choker and earrings for the ladies, and a Gothmas cravat pin and walking stick for the gentlemen. As for my new friend, that is the Holiday Hound and he was in a travel crate but I rezzed it and he escaped ;) He is from meadowWorks and no group is needed, just click the right window on the Advent calendar and enjoy. Last look for the day, when I saw the very cute Christmas Pants from Perfect Seduction (no group needed), I thought about how I really needed to show you a great top with it. It's Advent season, not Dawn Blogs Topless season ;) So I remembered the unforgettable corset from the Elven Forest Hunt, which I will be blogging more of tomorrow night. For now this is a sneak peek, the gorgeous Gwyn corset by Wicked which comes with a HUD for 6 color options for the top portion and for the cords in the back. I also really want to pair it up with a frilly maxi skirt, something boho, but there are plenty of things it will look great with.
I am running behind which is not great for the plans I have later, hehe, and tomorrow I will be posting my blog in the late evening with hunt prizes instead of Advent earlier...my usual weekend plans and timeframes are the reason. Hiya everyone! Tonight's blog post is focused on a delightful part of the Twisted Hunt, some of the beautiful jewelry I found along the way. I actually made it through the End Game thanks to a lot of help and support from my fantastic partner Xan, and I am very grateful as always. So would you like to see a sampling of the accessories to be found in the hunt? :)
First I should introduce you to the gown that serves as backdrop for all of tonight's jewelry, the prize from JLZ Fashion. You can find this lovely caped gown as #070 in the hunt path. The necklace is quite a statement piece, isn't it? PIXEL BOX is offering their Necklace Phoenix in their hidden cube #030 and it contains a resize script if you need it. I have a fondness for phoenixes that predates my Harry Potter fascination, so this prize really captures my attention and imagination.
Next we have the Women's Twisted Qi Necklace from Secrets of Gaia, stop #001 and one of the organizers of the hunt. I was particularly taken by the gems and the unique metal, and that appears to be a hamsa in the center. If so, that would make it a protective symbol from the Evil Eye.
Zuri Rayna Jewelry has been very generous for the Twisted hunt, as they have extra prizes hidden in their store and a gift at the End Game. The necklace is called Twisted Dawn, and is the main prize at the store, and the unisex Twisted Leather Cuffs are a bonus prize there. The Twisted Dawn Earrings are one of many rewards for surviving the End Game, and they are just as lovely as the necklace.
I have praised CPD (Chaos, Panic, & Disorder!) before for their generosity, and all their decoy cubes contain prizes so there are actually 11 gift-packed cubes to find there. Top row left to right we have the women's versions of Balance Necklace, Twisted Chi Necklace, and Five Elements Necklace which has a bonus surprise...there is a menu upon touch that allows for 5 color changes of the beads (fire, earth, wood, metal, and earth shown) and 2 metal changes, silver or gold which is shown. Bottom row we have Gold Qi and Silver Qi Necklaces, very impressive and bold necklaces. Add in the 5 men's versions and that brings us to 10 total prizes, so what's in that 11th? Well it is a Balance Accessories Crate, packed full of matching goodies for the necklaces...there are a men's and women's set of bracelets, earrings in gold and silver, hoop earrings in gold and silver, a nose ring in gold and silver, and gold balance bracelets for left and right wrists. You can tell that it took considerable restraint on my part to keep the image above as small and simple as I did! :) All this can be found at stop #022 on the hunt path.
One last beauty for the night, we have one of the 12 side hunt prizes from {Acios} who are #044 in the hunt. Each side hunt prize is one of the Chinese zodiac signs represented on a necklace, a male and female version of each are included along with a HUD with 6 metal colors, 21 bead colors, and 6 leather colors which are subtle tints. I am wearing #9 which is the Pig, my RL Chinese zodiac, and I showed two combinations of the colors among the remarkable number possible. There is a notecard in each one with a calculator to see what your sign is if you're unsure, so you will easily find out which is the right one. You can wear any of them for any reason really though, the sign of a loved one or your avatar's rez year, or just whichever animal you prefer.
Whew, that is a lot of fun packed into one post! I really do appreciate all the wonderful prizes from this hunt, but since it's wrapping up soon I am hesitant to blog them again. I believe it ends on the 19th, and that isn't much time to visit over 100 stores, so I hope you've already started if you are interested :) I have other tricks and treats up my sleeves as well, so not quite decided on what you can expect for tomorrow. Hiya everyone! I have more prizes to share from the Medieval Hunt XIV - Story of Salem. There are a wide variety of gifts to be found, obviously I mainly focus on the fashion but I've found some fun home decor too for example. You never know what you'll find in these hunts, and sometimes a picture on a hunt blog doesn't even capture the full scope of what a gift looks like or does. I love when they surprise me!
This stunning gown is an exclusive prize from C&N called Larunna, and they are #14 in the hunt. You will receive it in standard mesh sizes for a fine fit. The colors and pattern are lovely, and it looks as pretty from the back as it does from the front. I accessorized with the prize from #17, Chaos, Panic & Disorder! They have included a mens and womens version of their Wooden Pentacle Necklace (I'm sure you can guess which I'm wearing) and the beads are a really nice touch.
This elegant costume is our gift from #38 Tayren's Fantasy Fashions, and it is called Plague Witch (a mens version called Plague Warlock is also included). It is a wonderfully thorough gift, consisting of not only the mesh gown in standard sizes, but also the mask, pentacle necklace, and tintable hair in 3 sizes to fit nicely beneath the hood of the gown. The mask triggered a partial memory so I wound up doing some googling, and it served as an interesting reminder that witch persecution does predate Salem, and this mask stems from a time in Europe when they believed witches were to blame for the plague, and the beak part of the mask held scented herbs to protect doctors from the bad smells that they believe infected people with the plague. The necklace is also quite striking, with the moon as an addition to the pentacle, which I would interpret to symbolize the Goddess within everything, including the elements represented by the pentacle. I can't speak for the creator's intention, that is merely my guess :)
A new-to-me location called Taufells provided this appealing trio of Arwen dresses, which certainly made me smile. This is #41 in the hunt path, and they have provided not only these gowns in green, purple, and red as shown (standard mesh sizes of each), but a men's prize and a shield with an owl design on it. I love the little details, like how the design isn't quite identical for each color variation so it really is 3 different versions.
Before I wrap up with the credits, may I offer you a beverage? This tray is our gift from Kittycat's Creations (#45) and is called Banke of Brewes, and our detail-oriented brewmaster has included a notecard explaining that these are all ales that were available during that time frame, and because they are called Sixe-shilling Beere, Shilling Ale, Half-penny Ale, and Penny Ale, the name Bank fell into place quite nicely. She does a remarkable amount of research before creating any of her products, and I guess that's why I love showing you her work. Each has its own cup (stein?) and they are wearable and throwable (and spellfire scripted), so I suggest being a nice host while offering these or you might get bonked in the head ;) When your guest clicks a drink, it disappears from your tray and is offered to them in their inventory, but don't worry it will reappear shortly on the tray so someone else may choose it as well.
Nail note of the night: same as last night, I went with a French manicure from the default Slink HUD for simplicity. These historical themed outfits don't seem like they'd need nail art to complement them, hehe.

Hiya everyone! I thought I would wrap up my posts on the Renaissance Hunt V with a look at some of the amazing jewelry that can be found on various stops in this hunt. I was thinking about it yesterday when I mentioned how much I enjoy seeing SL jewelry and how detailed it can be, and knew there were several prizes I could share, so this post is a look at the sparkly and elegant gifts to adorn our necks, ears, fingers and more.
First we have a lovely crown by ~*W I L L O W*~ which is prize #017 in the hunt. I also had the pleasure of showing you all 5 women's necklaces from Chaos, Panic & Disorder! who are stop #039 and have several decoys out, but never fear as each decoy contains a variation of the prize necklace. In the main image I'm wearing the Balaurul Necklace in Ruby, beneath are Blackened, Sapphire, Fire, and the original main prize. In the upper right corner I am showing you the men's version in Ruby, and that can be found in all 5 matching colors in the various decoys. CPD is very generous with their hunt prizes, and I'm really fond of these necklaces with their Asian flair.
Allow me to introduce the Collar of the Queen, part of prize #026 from Never Ever. The gift includes the gorgeous necklace you see here, along with the matching ring in the inset (which reminds me of the royal engagement ring) and a 2 part Collar of the King, not shown. I do appreciate that most of these hunt prizes include goodies for both genders :)
Buccaneer's Restorations (#064) have provided prizes suited for males and females as well, but as both of these are indicated as the female prizes (the male gift isn't shown) I am wondering if the smaller one is designed for a child avatar as well. The smaller necklace shown is the Elizabeth I Miniature Lady's Carcanet, and the larger one is the Lady's Locket. The men's gift is called the Courtier's chain, and there is even a version without a chain so you can use it for just about anything. These even come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Queen Elizabeth :) We must really be treasured subjects to receive this from her!
Store #024 in the hunt is Thistle Moon Designs, and they are taking part in a mini hunt by Antiquity that is an optional part of the main hunt, but I highly recommend it as the earrings shown above are the mini hunt prize. The Pearl and Emerald Necklace are part of the main prize and are accompanied by the clever Gold Renaissance Hiding Ring that will open and close upon clicking. What will you hide in yours?
If you would like to offer your guests a luxurious beverage, Kittycat's Creations is glad to help by giving you prize #005 A Fine Tray, which as the notecard explains will give your friends (or yourself, I have tested it) the elegant goblet of wine they choose by clicking, and it will vanish from your tray while being offered to their inventory. Fancy wine was all imported and quite expensive in that time, so only the rich had such a luxury. The wine choices are Cadiz Wine, Clary, Muscadell, Sack, and Wormwood Wine, which were all available in that time according to their research. They also have a prize at their other location, which offers mugs of ale, so if you find that goodie you will be able to offer something a bit more down to earth.
Instead of a nail note of the night since they aren't really visible in any photos, I will mention that I am wearing the same outfit I did for yesterday's blog, prize #062 from Peckbeth Clothiers. It is a lovely mesh gown and comes with a matching hat and slippers, not shown. I'll credit it under photo #1 instead of all 5 photos, but you get the idea.
I had a fairly hectic day so I'm running late, and thinking I deserve some major retail therapy after an unusual amount of stress. Hiya everyone! Today I have a variety of goodies to share, from Midnight Manias and Mini Manias along with some lucky chair prizes. Plenty of free treats await!
Everyone needs a favorite pair of pajamas, and this Midnight Mania prize from Nerdy Girl could wind up being your next favorite! Their midnight mania boards change each day, so your best bet is to visit often. I wasn't sure you'd be able to see the Tardis design on the pants well enough so I put an inset of a closer view. The pants are in standard mesh sizes, and the tank top is system layers in short (shown) and regular which is just a bit longer but still shows off a sliver of belly.
I can't decide if this sexy number is for going out on the town, or staying inside with a special someone :) This is a Midnight Mania prize from blah.BLAH.blah, and there are 3 Midnight Manias there that change quite often. You will need to join the free group to click them, and don't forget to check the 5 lucky boards which do not need a group tag for you to be a winner. This outfit is called Charlies Angel and comes with a HUD to change the colors to a solid black or a solid tan in addition to the pink trimmed black I am showing above. With all these buckles and the provocative handcuffs at the belt, this will help you earn a second glance for sure!
A mini mania provided me with this delightful jumper from Wicked, called Marni in Teal. There's a terrific HUD included for 24 belt options, which is 12 colors in 2 textures each. This color is fantastic, and the style is so flattering.
This outfit is comprised of a Mini Mania prize from Wicked and a Midnight Mania skirt from Dumb Blond, so a fun combination! Our top is the Dahlia Vest in Camel, and includes an amazing HUD with 20 different shirt colors, 6 metal colors (buckle and clamp at end of belt) and 6 belt colors. I changed each from left to right so you could see just how much difference experimenting with the HUD can make :) The skirt is called Kiki Skirt in Black, and the plaid is so eye-catching. Both prizes come in standard mesh sizes.
Let's wrap up with a Marketplace free find, shall we? This lovely dress is from Gifts Home and has a beautiful silky texture. It only comes in one size, but it seemed to fit just fine :) My necklace is a lucky chair prize from Chaos Panic & Disorder, called One Heart Necklace. You will find in the box both left and right halves, male and female versions of each, so you can wear whatever strikes your fancy.
Nail note of the night: I won a lovely Slink HUD from the mini mania at Pathos, called Penelope. Lots of pretty pastel colors with a floral design on them, it is a sweet and feminine collection. Persistence paid off as I clicked the Mini Mania boards at Baby Monkey many times, and won both this terrific dress called EvaMay and the Octavia pumps for Slink High feet, each of which come with a HUD for 32 colors. They are different seasons so the colors aren't all the same, but I didn't have much trouble coordinating some great matches :) The sunglasses I'm wearing are a lucky chair prize from Chaos, Panic, & Disorder! and if you click them you can access an impressive menu. There are 12 frame colors including a few patterns, 6 metal pin colors, several lens colors and lens alphas (that adjusts the tint from 100% opaque to clear or 25%, 50%, or 75% in between) and the up or down position. They come in 3 sizes too, this is the medium I'm wearing. Just head downstairs (teleporter) for the lucky chairs and midnight mania boards.

Speaking of lucky boards, this fun wrap dress is from [*.::&Y::.*] on one of 3 lucky boards at their store in the Kiyomizu Mall shopping area that I enjoy so much. The style is fantastic for a spring evening, and that print is so playful!
Finally I have a charming dollarbie outfit from the Doll Up Hunt, this is from +Facepalm+ and includes the Delaney dress in sea, and the very cute matching shoes for Slink MID feet. The details of the dress are what makes it, the buttons are adorable and the sheer top layer of skirt is a beautiful touch.
Nail notes for tonight are simple enough, a wonderful marketplace freebie by Hello Dave that I've blogged before, but can't get enough of :) My other notes from tonight's photos would be that I tried out a parted lip layer from Tuli just for fun, can't decide if it suits me or not but I might try it for a while to see if it feels right. I felt like something different, not a fan of the smile you find in most expression HUDs, and not ready for the hassle of a mesh mouth and tinting the skin correctly and having to ditch all my beloved Mock lipsticks. If you're interested in trying the parted lips tattoo layers, there are 7 different ones in the pack and they are free on the marketplace :)
I chose my hair based on my real hair, which I got cut last week and it turned out way shorter than I expected so it's like a tapered version of this style. Being short brings out the natural wave, and some days it springs up like this. My bangs are shorter though. Hiya everyone! As a quick break between hunts, a palate cleanser if you will, I decided to show you some more terrific prizes from the lucky boards and mini manias at Rowena Springflower and Precious Designs. One of my first posts actually was a few of their treasures, and I mentioned then about how much I appreciate that both designers include HUDs to change the colors/textures of the clothing. It makes for so much more variety and doesn't overload the inventory so much :) They share a store, there is a dividing line on the floor that shows where one ends and the other begins, but the lucky boards and mini/midnight manias are all together upstairs. Group gifts and sales event goodies are there too, it's a treasure trove!
This adorable romper is from Precious Designs and is called Brick House. It's all one piece, and I love the ruffles down the front and the little tie at the waistband. 5 rich colors on one color HUD, your choice what color mood you're in today. This was from a lucky board.
Here's another of Precious Designs lucky board goodies, if you want a long but casual dress that comes with a HUD of 5 really bright colors. This is called Cheryl Gown.
This outfit from Rowena Springflower's lucky boards is so cute I had to show it twice :) It's called Jessie, and there is one HUD that handles both the crop top and jeans but you can change the colors independently so it's a mix-and-match delight. The back of the top is simply a string, very sexy!
I just noticed I went with all casual treasures today, as my last Rowena Springflower outfit of the night is a very cute jumpsuit called Cassidy. Another 5-color HUD, and I love the sassy cutouts on the sides along with that deep neckline that really shows off a pretty necklace. That leads to my next treasure...
Here's a closer look at the necklace I chose to show above, a midnight mania board prize from CPD (Chaos, Panic and Disorder!). When you visit their store, head downstairs and you'll find 4 lucky chairs that change every 5 minutes, and 2 midnight mania boards which deliver and reset to a new gift as soon as they're full. Visit often enough, and you could wind up with a lot of exciting new jewelry in a relatively short amount of time! This particular Triknot necklace came with a mens version which I believe had a fang instead of a crystal. Some sets include earrings, other sets are for petites, it's an excellent variety.

Hiya everyone! Today I'm showing you some treasures from the Medieval Fantasy Hunt XIII and I am really enjoying the uniqueness of this hunt. You're looking for a beautiful small glowy replica of the Northern Lights, as the theme this round is the Northern Light of Aurora. This definitely brought out the creativity of the designers, as you'll see. Each store has a hunt sign with a hint giver (the same glowing light that you're looking for that contains your prize) and those certainly can come in handy. Now I admit, Medieval fashions are not my niche as far as knowledge, and my first thought was along the lines of pictures from the local Renaissance fair even though I know they aren't the same thing. You'll see that this hunt actually includes such things are fairies, elves, and outfits that put me in mind of Lord of the Rings.
Above is the prize from Black Hole Sun (#11 in the hunt), and there's a lot going on there. The sleeves, legwarmers, collar, and belt are all separate pieces from the gown itself, with different mesh sizes for gown and warmers. The earth tones are so eyecatching!
Allow me to introduce you to the gift from Tayren's Fantasy Fashions, #12 in the hunt, and their Elven Rogue outfit. I think my avi is trying to make her ears grow into points! LOL! Actually there is a shape included that has pointy ears, but I chose to stick with my own shape. This is all system clothing, male and female included, no appliers, and a black hair is included but not shown. I was really impressed with the detailing, right down to the boots.
Les Sucreries is #17 in the hunt, and this intriguing gown is their gift to us. At first I tried on just the outer layer, realized I could see through not only the gown but my whole torso, and noticed the underneath layer in the folder as well. Got everything added that I needed and WOW! So elegant, and I love the lace.
I definitely felt royal enough for this throne, so here is prize #14 from ~XM~ Designs. The Throne of Aurora is surrounded by a large attached iceberg of sorts, you can see my door through it behind the throne so it is somewhat transparent. Naturally it would work better outdoors or perhaps atop an ice castle? :)
Last but certainly not least, here is a look at prize #15, the fantastic *CPD* which stands for Chaos, Panic and Disorder! When reading that to my partner as we were about to teleport there, I followed the name with YAY and got a slight stunned silence in response...finally I said I'm excited because I love the store, not those concepts! You all should definitely admire his patience, I sure do test it sometimes ;) Anyway, this incredible necklace slowly shifts colors among shades of blue and green, it's mesmerizing. I am a huge fan of their work!
