Pride At Home

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is delightfully colorful, thanks to several free gifts we find at Pride At Home :) I'm a longtime ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and growing up Gen X means that I saw what it was like in the 80s to be a teenager or young adult trying to find one's identity. It has gotten better over the years, but there is still room for improvement of course. SL seems to be a helpful outlet for those who want to explore virtual life as themselves without RL limitations, which makes Pride month even more special here. Pride At Home is a terrific shopping event each June, with this wonderfully designed area of booths with gifts for all visitors that do not need any particular group tag to claim. Some are for sale for $0L, and a few you can just click to have the treat delivered to you. Are you ready to take a peek?

My first look is the cozy *katat0nik* (GIFT) PAH Tracksuits, which contains both I ♥ You and I ♥ Me versions. They both are provided in Legacy and Reborn mesh body sizes, and are a one-piece set with the capri pants and zipped sweatshirt linked together. the rainbow racing stripes are the perfect bold accent for the sleek black of the sleeves and pants :) It's also noteworthy that this brand has been part of my SL experience for as long as I can remember, and I'm always thrilled to see them at events!

I'm keeping it casual yet celebratory with the [RED GIRL] Reese Shorts Overall Pride gift. Just look at those colorful patches scattered around the denim overalls, which come in 3 colors (blue, white, and black not shown) with the same decorations and tank top built in beneath. There are sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh bodies of each color, then we have a HUD with 10 colors for our tank top so even that can be customized. So cute for Pride month, but certainly not limited to June.

The {le fil casse} Allegra Bodysuit Pride Edition is a sexy gift that I'm realizing is a bit lower cut on that bust than I initially realized ;) It fits Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, in a spectrum of colors with those vivid stripes that softly transition from one to the next. Then it was time for a sweet snack, so I am sharing the andika Sweet Pride ice cream-wearable gift too. There are left and right handed hold versions included, and like all SL food it won't drip or raise your blood sugar ;) I'm wondering about the flavors now...I'll go with red velvet, mango, lemon, mint chip, blue raspberry, and blackberry. Yum!

There are so many terrific tops among these gifts, like the stunning FICTIVE - PRIDE AT HOME 2026 - GIFT. The tank top has a ticket tucked under the left strap, and a fun style with that slit in the front that gives an extra peek of midriff. We receive Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn versions, with a HUD so we can choose from 4 textures for our top and 4 for the ticket. The top can also be solid white or solid black, but I was totally in the rainbow zone here and tie-dye is a classic favorite for me :) The ticket on the left above says "This is a Safe Space" and I must admit, that made me a little bit emotional. My blog is too, just like my heart. 

My final look of the night was a chance to show off not just one but two more tops that I simply adore. The [GHB] CLOTHING LOVE IS LOVE CROPTOP is on the left above, with black sleeves providing contrast to the bright gradient with Pride rainbow stripes across it. The pink heart says "Love is Love" just like the shirt's name. This gift includes sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. Our Pride at Home. Queer Fringe Tee 2026 on the right gave me amusing flashbacks (Flashdance movie, childhood bestie and I in matching fringed shirts with movie logo, thinking we were hot stuff at the beach, LOL) but I really do enjoy fringe and especially in SL where it can't get all tangled up. There are Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes included, along with a HUD for the bikini layer that offers 20 textures. Some are wild tropical prints, all are fantastic :) The front says QUEER then PRIDE HOME in tiny letters beneath, there could be an @ hiding in my cleavage though ;) You know by now that I love the color pink, so there's even more appeal here. Just like in the last image, I'm wearing my favorite Delizio jeans from the marketplace (free fatpack) but you can pair any of these shirts with whatever you wish from your own wardrobe.

Why Pride is important to me - I've got a first cousin on my dad's side who is a lesbian, and she is genuinely a fascinating person who used to jump out of airplanes to fight fires out on the west coast. My godparents' son is gay, and I've literally known and loved him my entire life (he's less than a year older than me) so when he came out to me it was with complete trust and relief. His parents thanked my parents for not ditching the family like some of their other friends had :( Online friends over the years have included gay, lesbian, trans, poly, pan, bi, genderfluid, and non-binary folks, and my policy is to treat everyone with respect unless they are disrespectful to someone I care about. Also it should go without saying that I don't judge any relationship that involves consenting adults. So for me, Pride is about honoring love in its many forms, and continuing to learn about the complexity of gender identities.

It's been a quieter day than yesterday, thanks to the lack of fireworks outside. The weather is still fairly warm, and it looks like the weekend is going to get even more sizzling hot. Pride At Home Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating Pride month by visiting the Pride At Home event. This location is set up wonderfully and has booths with free gifts in the central area of the city they've created :) We can also find parades, historical exhibits, art, and much more, in a loving tribute to the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a steadfast ally and have friends and family who I am supporting this Pride month and all year long ♥. Whatever your gender identity and sexual orientation is, this is a safe place and you are always welcome here. This event is open the entire month, and all the gifts I am sharing are entirely free with no group joining/tag necessary to claim. I'll explain at the end why I missed out on blogging last night, but the important thing is I'm back and relatively okay.

My first look is the lovely Belle Epoque - Eunate - GIFT. This strapless tube dress is accentuated by stripes down the center front, in your choice of 9 pride flag color themes via HUD. We receive sizes for Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies in this thoughtful gift. 

We've got lots of generous tops among our gifts here, like the Cattoza. Taily Top / Pride Gift. There are black and white versions packed separately inside, each in sizing for Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'm wearing the Legacy versions on my Lara X body here, and it worked beautifully for me with no adjustments needed :) Both distressed tees have a rainbow across the front with PRIDE in a box, stamped in white to really stand out against that rainbow.

Next I slipped into the ELEVEN - Pride Tops gifts, which consists of versions [1] and [2], left and right above respectively. [1] says "You Belong", while [2] has a playful kitty surrounded by the words "Sounds Gay - I'm In" ;) That made me giggle when I desperately needed a laugh. These are each provided in Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and the style is flirty with the cropped hem that is lifted slightly on the right side. Underboob FTW!

This wonderful look is our .Pride at Home. Heartbeat Tank gift, one of several at an end display booth with the event's logos. This cropped tank top comes in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, with a HUD that offers both images seen above for the front. Heartbeats are so symbolic of love, humanity, and survival because if you've got a beating heart, you're doing okay :) There is something so soothing about the steady beat of listening to someone's heart, don't you think?

For my final look of the evening, I am enjoying the [RED GIRL] Marlowe Top Pride gift. It actually comes in 3 versions/colors - black is unspecified (and not shown here), grey is v1, and red is v2. Each of these are provided in Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh body sizing. They all say "Equality Hurts No One" and I really love that saying! It's similar to the idea of kindness is not a pie, someone else receiving some doesn't mean there is less for you. I just got a t-shirt in RL that says "Kindness is Free, Sprinkle that stuff everywhere" and I'd seen it before with 'shit' instead of 'stuff' but chose the softer version ;) Same ideas, spread joy and love to all.

So, I was going to blog this last night, but I got derailed by a mouse. I was sitting here getting ready to start blogging when I heard weird noises and I thought the empty boxes and bags to my right were falling. I kept looking and saw nothing moving, then I realized the noise was a chewing sound. Ran downstairs to tell the housemate, he of course realized what I did...mouse. He stood in the doorway listening, and said there was nothing he could do so I should just leave the room. Initially I was like nah, I need to blog, I can do this...several more bouts of chewing later, I tapped out ;) Fears are not that easy to overcome. We have woods behind our house where they start out, and they can't resist the idea of food and shelter I guess. My parents had a horrible problem with mice in their house when they first moved out this way too, so it's common in this neighborhood. They apparently can get in through remarkably small holes, and can chew through concrete (?!) so they are definitely persistent. All the boxes and bags have been moved, any trace of food has been removed (I snack in here sometimes because I'm in here like 15 hours a day) and there is currently no noise. I'm still on high alert, because anxiety is part of who I am. I had a bad experience once before in this house with mice, as we had one escape from a trap and run into my foot so that I almost stepped on it, like my little toe was wrapped around it...*shudder* when I tell you I ran to the tub and scrubbed my foot until it was red...I am also probably allergic to their dander which is not helping me stay calm. Another fun fact, they are nocturnal and so am I, lol, so no wonder I'm the one who spots them or hears them first.

Pride At Home

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I wish all of you a Happy Pride Month with some fantastic gifts from the Pride at Home Event. The location I'm inviting you to is a city and festival where you can find rides, parties, live music shows, and of course the gifts that I'm tickled rainbow (that's like tickled pink, only much more colorful!) to share ♥. There are also dozens of $99L offers at various mainstores so be sure to peek around for landmarks and information on that if you are in the mood for some shopping for a good cause. So as a cis straight woman, why do I share Pride merchandise? That is simple and important for me to remind people...I do it to let everyone know that I am an ally and that people are safe with me. I will never judge your gender or sexuality, and there are people (friends and family members) I value deeply who are LGBT+ who also inspire me to be kind to all. The 70s child in me simply loves rainbows and always has, but the adult Dawn has a deep respect for the symbolism for this community. We're all in this wild ride of life together :)

My first look this evening is a pairing of free gifts, so I'll start with the sexy dress. It's the Skittish - Wanted Dress Pride Edition, a cinched waist strapless mini with remarkable details. There are sizes for Legacy, Lara X, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies, all with matching alpha layers to help hide the midriff and give that hourglass appearance. We also receive a HUD with 20 textures as well as hide/show options for the corset and bra, both of which I've hidden on the right. Now there are buttons with colors for each of those as well, but either they aren't activated for this particular dress or SL was just being mean to me this morning. The hem is so short that I needed the tights to cover down-below-bits, so thank goodness for our +Crypt Keeper+Pride Tights+ Gift! There are 3 BOM versions called nuevo, have fun, and heart, and I adore all three :) BOM layers are so easy to wear, and I remember thinking appliers were the greatest thing since sliced cheese but at least with BOM layers you can see exactly what you're wearing by checking the worn tab of inventory, and you can add tons of layers without any interference.

This look is a pairing of multiple gifts too, showing off their versatility. The top is our Everything Indie - Free Tee, a sweet cropped t-shirt with a pride version of the logo of a group featuring indie music from all over in SL. They have male and female sizing each in black or white, and the female sizes include Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. They look great with the [RED GIRL] Pride Shorts {PAH Gift}, which are cuffed denim short in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies. There are HUDs galore - asexual, bisexual, lesbian, LGBTQIA, non binary, pansexual, and transgender - each with 4 denim color options. They will give your shorts the pride flag heart of your choice on the left front, with sayings like "Born to Slay" and "Queer and Proud" on the other side. 

Yet another duo of gifts makes an appearance here, because there are so many generous designers and plenty of mix-and-match separates. The Belle Epoque - Stefany Top is a fun starry tube top that fits Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu bodies, with a HUD that offers 11 various pride flag textures like the traditional rainbow on the left and what I believe is genderqueer on the right. As for my shorts, they are the wonderful #10 Apple Blossom - Equal Shorts gift. We have black and white versions that are each designed for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies, labeled V1 and V2 so now I've forgotten which is which, lol. Apologies for that, it's been chaos lately.

Next I changed into the stunning mellowcute-PRIDEatHOME dress-love gift, which caught my eye with its rainbow stripes that are slightly softer than the traditional bold colors but not quite pastel either. The white lace trim is a perfect touch, and shows off those slits on the front of the skirt so nicely. There are Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh body sizes included. I hope you noticed the SIGMA Pride choker around my neck :) That is a great match for the hues of the dress, and it comes in Legacy, Maitreya, and unrigged versions. It reminds me of those puka shell necklaces that whisper summer and bring back lots of amusing memories.

My final look of the evening is the [ILAYA] Vilma Love is Love gift. The layered t-shirt dress has a rainbow striped band at the hem and cuffs to match the wording on the front, and built in panties. Weaning off an antidepressant is rough stuff, and even though I didn't think it was fully working, my brain is reacting like a toddler when you take away their favorite toy. I've been counting the days until I stop taking this lowest dose level (25% of my highest dose) and now I'm practically ready to start counting the minutes until I can start taking the next one. It may work or it may be a disaster, lol, but either way I need to know and my brain really wants something to help it balance its chemistry. At least I got to stay home today, and I'm trying to pretend that the 4 crying jags were just natural cleansing and healing, nothing to worry about. I know I will be okay, even if this moment feels difficult, and I believe the same for anyone out there who is also struggling with absolutely anything. Pride At Home

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I am pleased to share a celebration of Pride month with the Pride at Home event. This region has a carnival atmosphere thanks to parade floats and decor, and we have an area with gifts and information about the LGBTQ+ community. I have deeply personal reasons for being a firm ally, and that will never change because I just genuinely believe that kindness and compassion are vital in this world. All of the gifts I'm sharing in this post are from the booths of generous designers who are helping us celebrate, and I am very grateful to each and every one of them. I make an effort to keep politics off this blog as much as I can, but it seems to me that loving our neighbors shouldn't be political. As a child of the 70s, I'm also a huge fan of rainbows, so there is a strong visual appeal here in addition to the respect for all humans. All of these gifts are completely free with no group tag required, so please be sure to spread the word to anyone who may be interested :)

For my first look of the night, I slipped on the Luas Dacil Dress Pride Edition, one of two free gifts found at their booth. This sexy strapless mini comes in sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy bodies. The modern pride flag's colors appear here with a fun leopard print, which I am loving! I also needed a little snack, so I nibbled one of the delicious lmndrp. - pride cookies (holdables) gift. There are two versions, the Love is Love versions shown here and another with the word PRIDE on rainbow icing, each with a bento hold as you can see above. Just think, here in SL all cookies are sugar free, gluten free, and calorie free so anyone can enjoy :)

Candy Kitten has a treat for us too, called *CK* Sabrina - pride free. The outfit is two pieces, top and skirt, each in sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The top has detached sleeves and playful ruffles, while the skirt has lace panties built in. Both have a beautiful image of a rainbow above the word HUMAN, filled in with various flag's stripes as a touching tribute to all of us falling under the same umbrella.

Two gifts make an appearance here, so let's start from the top...which would be the SEKA's D-Pull Crop PRIDE 2023 GIFTIE. There are 3 versions, labeled as PRIDE1, PRIDE2 and PRIDE3 in the folder, all included in eBody Reborn, Kupra A/B, Kupra Flat, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Flat, and Petite mesh body sizes. The notecard made me smile, explaining how the designer came up with the pride theme and added the LOVE nipple tapes for us :) They all go really well with the Belle Epoque - Pride Skirt gift, a low slung mini in frosty white with a gorgeous pair of rainbow wings on the rear. We receive sizes for eBody, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies in this thoughtful gift. Our observers receive a touch of booty cleavage ;)

Next I changed into the charming [ILAYA] gift called Beena Dress & Jacket~ {Love Is Love}. The dress and cropped jacket are both inky black, with the dress reading "Love is Love" in red on the front, and the jacket featuring a rainbow ombre hood. Each piece is provided in Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and we also get a materials HUD for each. I love a good t-shirt dress, casual and comfy which means versatility to me, and the jacket is a great addition if you go somewhere that might be a bit chilly.

My final look of the evening is the Female Pride Outfit by Rainbow Rhapsody, which also has a male version that is equally stunning and colorful :) The top and pants will each fit Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a 3 color HUD for the shirt. That lets us choose from black, white, or grey as our backdrop for the pride stripes on the front which have Love, Respect, Freedom, Tolerance, Equality, and Pride written across them, and the back reads "Spread Kindness around like confetti". I am all on board with that saying!! I was saying earlier that it costs nothing to be kind to people, but being unkind can cost that person more than we'd ever know. 

Whew, let the weekend begin! It was a heck of a week, and I'm still dealing with anxiety and stomach issues that might make my trip to the farmers market uncomfortable tomorrow, but I know last week I got through it and it was very worthwhile. It was hot today but should be about 20 degrees cooler when I go out, so that will be a nice relief.
