More Helping Haven

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're visiting the Helping Haven Gateway again so I can share some more of the generous gifts found there from lots of different designers. The freebies are just one of many features we can enjoy while visiting, so be sure to check out the signs and the teleporters to see where else you might want to explore :) As I mentioned yesterday, there are buildings for men and women to find fashions, accessories, full avatars, and more, with other options like furniture and buildings. You can even check out the beach and the tents full of artwork, so there is a lot to do here as you can tell. Many of the gifts are in standard mesh sizes for classic avatars, but there are some for mesh bodies as well which is what I'm focused on tonight. All the gifts are free with no group tag necessary, just buy for $0L and they are all yours. These are all on the ground floor, so in the future I'll return and share more from the other floors too. 

For my first look of the evening, I randomly chose one of the many ART & FASHION gifts called BLUE CHARM MINI DRESS. It includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. The details are wonderful, from the keyhole openings both front and back, and the artwork of the beautiful woman tearing through the front!

Another irresistible gift is the NILSY GIFT ,BLACK LACE DRESS seen here. The concept of a little black dress is a classic wardrobe staple, yet there are many potential styles and this one definitely stands out :) There are 5 standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizing. The open back is as flirty as the lacy sections on the front, adding sex appeal to this beauty.

This next gift was on the displays in front of the wall rather than upon the wall itself, and does not have a brand name so it's simply called Pink Mesh Dress for Various MESH bodies. There is a sample with the box so you can tell what it looks like in person, very handy :) The mesh body sizes include Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP. The style reminds me of a tennis dress somehow, a playful tank dress with lace on the upper bodice.

I do love bright colors and purple is my favorite, so the *Ydea Style Micro Mini Dress gift* was a great choice for me from among their many generous gifts here. The bodycon slip dress comes in 5 standard sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. The rainbow ring pattern makes me want to go out and party!

My final look this evening is the PinkRayne Peony gift. There are sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with a HUD offering 5 different colored floral patterns. The neckline is trimmed with a bold ruffle, and the loose fitting dress is so pretty :) I am certainly a fan of florals too, so this became an instant favorite.

It was a fun and busy day with some anxiety at the end, so I fell a little behind tonight and am slower than usual, so I apologize for that. Gleaming at Shop and Hop

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Gleaming sim, one of the 6 that are part of the Winter Shop and Hop event. There are a total of 120 designers taking part, all with discounted offers to treat yourself or give to a friend. Most of them are also offering gifts, primarily inside blue gift boxes with white lids that can be clicked to give a free goodie. They include clothing, accessories, and home decor among the many possibilities, and are a great way for these designers to wish us all happy holidays.

My first look features two gifts, starting with the Glitters Top from EVIE. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Legacy bodies, with a HUD that lets you tint the glitter to any color you wish. In the inset you can see a closer view of the fine glitter with a glimpse of the zipper in the back of the shirt. As for the pants, they are the Priya and Pierce Leggings - Reindeer Gift from RIOT. There are mens sizes included along with Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing for the ladies, all with that fun seasonal print. Funny story, Xan and I went to a store last night to look at cute animals (Jian) and there was another shopper wearing the same outfit, both the top and pants :) It made me chuckle as I was not expecting it, and when I pointed it out Xan said they must have read my blog. I replied no, I hadn't blogged it yet, so we decided that she must just have good taste.

I kept the RIOT leggings gift on for this look, but changed into the gift from PinkRayne called Hanne Jumper - Winter Shop & Hop Exclusive Gift. This laced up sweater is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, in a deep mossy green shade. 

L&B Swear (of Lapointe & Bastchild) are offering two gifts for the ladies to enjoy, a pair of mini dresses whose colors can be seasonal but certainly aren't limited to December. On the left is the Zoe Dress in Green, while on the right it looks just as pretty in Red. Each includes Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing for those popular mesh bodies. Be sure to click both boxes to receive each color.

Next we see the gift that Seniha is offering at Shop and Hop, their Noah Dress which has a bare midriff, tartan skirt, and bold bow on the back of the waist. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Hourglass bodies. This style and color combination are timeless and not specifically for the festive season.

My final look of the evening is a closer view of the nail polish I've been enjoying in all of these photos, the gift from {ZOZ} called Early Snow Gift Polish. There are HUDs included for Maitreya, Omega, Slink, and the store's own ZOZ Bento nails, each with a beautiful array of 12 colors to choose from. The color palette is accented with splashes of snow and a single very clear snowflake that really brings out the frosty goodness. I need someone to do this manicure for me in RL for next Tuesday ;) We do have a long winter ahead of us, so these can be a part of your wardrobe for some time to come.

Can I Play With Madness

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some more limited time group gifts to share from the Evil Bunny Hunt group, found at the Black Friday Bazaar 2. There are black bags with gifts in them at each designer's display, along with discounted selections to help you save lindens during this Black Friday shopping mania season :) There are over 60 participating designers, so as you can imagine there are plenty of choices including fashion and home decor. As usual I am focusing on treats you can wear for my photos, with some manicures at the end. The first photo inspired my title, which is a song that brings back strange but amusing memories from my past and my childhood best friend.

My first look features the PinkRayne gift called Metal Tee, with METAL emblazoned across the front in a font inspired Iron Maiden. The knotted tee comes in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, with a HUD that has 5 color options for you to enjoy.

The group gift from Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. goes perfectly with my Delizio jeans too. It is called Vampy Rose Tee BFB Gift, and is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. I feel like this first two gifts of the evening have an 80s music vibe, since this made me start humming a Guns N Roses song ;) Patience in case you wondered which, although I like several of theirs.

We all deserve something sexy to wear when the mood strikes us, so be sure to claim the group gift from [Ahroun Designs] to enjoy their Nicky Lingerie - Gift. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The lace is fairly sheer, and those garters would look terrific over a pair of thigh high stockings if you have any in red or maybe black. 

zOOm is offering a generous gift to us too, their Military Dress with subtle pattern and built in belt. In sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, it is fun for the season with the high neck and long sleeves, while still showing off some leg with that fluttery short skirt. You can always wear leggings beneath for a warmer or layered look, and maybe boots rather than sandals for cool weather. 

My final look of the night is a closer view of my nails, which are decorated with the gift from Tone 2 called Silica Mattes Deep Nails. It includes mani/pedi HUDs for Belleza, Maitreya, and Omega, with 9 dramatic shades to choose from. I used the Omega and might have been experiencing a strange SL glitch, but one of the colors (green) was not applying for me, however that still left 8 awesome options :) 

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, so naturally things are getting more busy and stressful. I don't know how people do it when they are coordinating things for a bigger family that is spread out further so there is even more travel involved, and if that's you I can only say I respect you deeply :) I hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Sweet 16 Is Golden

Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time to visit the Golden sim of the SL16B shopping event, one of the five sims dedicated to SL's talented designers. They are offering discounted merchandise as well as gifts for all visitors, so I strongly recommend visiting during the event which ends on the 8th of July. You can find clothing, accessories, and home decor among the offers here, and so much more, you'll have to see for yourself :)

My first look of the evening is our gift from LYBRA, which is named SLB16 after the event. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya mesh bodies, all with a distressed denim texture and a floral pattern on the darker top. The high neckline (similar front and back) balances the sleeveless style and short skirt.

The gift from RIOT is Birthday Shirts in mens versions along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes for the ladies. There is even a HUD included that works for both, with 5 designs in 2 colors each. On the left it reads "Aging like a fine Wine" and on the right "I'm not getting older I'm leveling up", so they are birthday themed but I think that aging like fine wine can work for year round. I'm wearing my favorite Delizio jeans with this top :)

Summer activities call for swimwear and coverups, and PinkRayne is generously offering a full fatpack of their Splash outfits. There are 5 sets of top, bottom, and dress, each included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. On the left I am wearing the Babydoll set, and on the right Neon Lights. They could be mixed and matched to suit your mood, just get creative and enjoy!

This frisky outfit comes from Vibing, and is their Natalia Shorts and Natalia Tube, each in Peach. They are each provided in a Maitreya size, and the tube top ties around the waist after the straps wrap around the torso. The shorts show a little cheek in the rear, a cute touch.

My final look of the night is courtesy of Valentina E., whose gift is called Andi Bodysuit Teal Net. It includes Freya, Hourglass, Physique, and Maitreya versions, with a playful halter style tied in the back with long strands draped down the plunging back. There is a hint of bum cleavage since the back is opened so low.

Group Gift & Birthday Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight we have more birthday gifts to open for Second Life's 15th birthday celebration, four full sims of discounts but tonight's are all from the Golden sim. Just enjoy, explore, and while you shop you will see the free gifts at nearly every display. But before we dive into our pile of presents, I have a group gift that I am so excited to share, from Entice whose info group is free to join. They have a terrific dress fatpack as their latest gift for all their members, and are always generous with group gifts plus midnight manias and lucky boards. 

This lovely look is the Entice - The Tide is High Dress Fatpack, a polka dotted frock with bold double belting in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and a standard fitted version. There is also a HUD that lets you choose from 10 colors, two of which I randomly chose for above, all of which really pop against the black and white.

Over to the SL15B shopping event, you can find this flirty dress from ISON called Michelle dress as their present for all visitors. The dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, and includes a HUD with 3 texture choices. Two are shown above, and the other is a solid red hue. I love how the straps cross in the back and then lace things together, and that floral pattern has a tropical feel that really appeals to me.

There are so many options for your summer wardrobe at SL15B, and our gift from PinkRayne named Peony is a perfect example. It includes sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, with a HUD that lets you choose from 5 colors for the feminine floral texture. I am always drawn to shades of purple, but I definitely appreciate all the selections for this present.

Sometimes we just need something sweet and snuggly to hold, so I was delighted when I unpacked the Jinx goodies and found 5 treats inside, including Unipig Arm Pet - Pastel Pink. It has a hold pose built in, and I admit my first thought was a unicorn pig hybrid like Miss Piggy, so I was surprised to see that it is instead a precious guinea pig! *Squee* I used to spend a lot of time with my friend's guinea pigs and have always thought they were adorable, but none of hers had a unicorn horn or these shades of pink ;) As for the other 4 gifts, I will leave them as a surprise but I will say there is another type of horns involved in one, and at least one other companion.

Perhaps you noticed that my nails had some extra bursts of color tonight, well that would be courtesy of the gift from Hello Dave at the SL15B event. They are offering their Black Tip French nails to all of us with HUDs for Slink, Omega, and Maitreya. There are 35 colors to choose from, ranging from pastels to brights, each with that dramatic tip of inky black. So much versatility, and I am a longtime fan of theirs so I was glad to be able to pick this up and share with all of you.

I am having one of those days where things feel very mixed up, since I didn't get much more than a quick nap before going out this morning/afternoon, then came home and napped (which was more like my real sleep) for several hours. Now it feels like everything I did in the morning was actually yesterday, so I've been feeling all evening like it was already Sunday. At least I don't have any plans for Sunday that involve leaving the house or being somewhere at a certain time, so I can try to relax and refocus. One of the vendors at the market I go to each Saturday is from Guadalajara Mexico, and was cooking amazing Mexican street food today and it smelled heavenly! Tacos, taquitos, corn on the cob (elotes), hibiscus water, rice, refried beans...I did taste several of those and wow are they tasty :) My fridge is filled with a few days' worth of yummy meals and desserts, and I am happy not to have to cook in this heat.
