Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some Free Dove group gifts to share, since it had been a while and I wanted a post where all the looks could be found in the same location :) There is always something new there, and the group is free to join so you can enjoy these goodies without spending a linden. It was a much better day here today, and I got about 3-4 inches cut off my mop of hair. The color needed refreshing too, so that is a huge improvement :) My roots were not creating a fashionable ombre, more like a mix of dull color and tinsel. I had more grays than my 93 year old grandma, LOL, so it was time to hide their roots. My stylist was happy to see me as I was to see her, so I enjoyed my appointment. Tomorrow is dinner with the parents, then Saturday is my usual farmers market trip, so good things ahead. It is hard to believe that September is almost over, but I'm looking forward to new events and hunts in the new month as usual. Each color is $150L each, regularly $300L per tone, and the fatpack is $450L marked down from $599L if you're like me and love the convenience of a HUD or just cannot choose a color :) With 10 choices, the fatpack is really the way to go if you are drawn to multiple colors. The fluttery style is perfect for this weather, and it comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya to fit many of our most popular mesh bodies. I love the hint of lace trim on the neckline, which looks crisp against the dark colors as well as the lighter shades.
It was an odd sort of day, not bad but busy, and I think I was thrown off by something simple. One of the local farmers markets takes place in a park, but they moved the location within the park closer to newly refurbished/reopened playground, and it was a bit disorienting. Many of the vendors weren't there, I am hoping they were just on vacation and not skipping it because of the move. It was a clear, sunny day with a gorgeous breeze, so an ideal summer day. This beautiful skirt set is an exclusive offer from Lillou Merlin Design called [LD] Anthea - Black. It is $299L at Fashion Dazzle, and includes the top and skirt each in sizes for Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and TMP along with standard mesh sizes. The look is stunning, and can be kept simple with a bangle or pair of delicate earrings or jazzed up with some brightly colored jewelry and shoes.
One of the many free gifts at Fashion Dazzle can be found at the PaperMoon display, their sexy sheer Rosa Gown. It comes in standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. The gift fits the black and white theme of this month's Fashion Dazzle event quite well.
BG is offering a very playful silks outfit for their anniversary gift, called Hadeel Palomma and most likely named for Palomma Casanova, the fantastic organizer of the event and owner of Free Dove. Our gift consists of the bra, panties, and gloves in system layers and Omega appliers, along with two skirt parts and two veils that are held in each hand. I am only wearing the left veil here since in this pose the right one would be hiding part of the skirts. Also included are the crown and the sparkling wings which as you can see emit very pretty sparkle particles around the wearer.
I found this playful outfit at the Moonstar display, it is their free gift and is simply named Monochrome Outfit with Shoes. The clothing is in system layers along with appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega, and the shoes are included for Slink High. The hat is also part of our gift, and includes a resize script in case you need to adjust it. This is a very eye-catching look with the corset style top and the various stripes.
You may have noticed that my nails tonight also fit the black and white motif, well they are also a free gift at Fashion Dazzle, from ~Shiny Stuffs~ called B&W Gift! Maitreya Nail Polish. There are three different designs on their HUD, and I did switch over to my Maitreya hands from my usual slinks to share these beauties with you. Whew, what a day! I am behind schedule for the day and probably will be slow for the next few days, as I will have a houseguest (arriving within a half hour or so) until Monday night. Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit both the Free Dove and the mainstore of Lillou Merlin Designs, to finish their mini hunt and pick up some other new Free Dove gifts from a variety of designers. There is always something new there, and each month there are 3 mini hunts in addition, so I tend to visit often. Now tonight's hunt prizes are the 4 found at the Lillou Merlin Designs mainstore, they are much larger doves since the store is quite sizable, and you will need the Free Dove tag active to claim them. My hints are to check the main walls and to peek upstairs as well :)
I playfully combined 3 of the 4 prizes into one image, which shows their versatility. The dress is called [LD] Suzie - Bandeau Dress - Green, and includes plenty of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. The luxurious fur on the left is their [LD] Elisa - Blue - Fur Stole and has a built in resizer script. On the right I added a festive hat instead, their [LD] Belle du Jour - Hat - Brown, also with a resize script and a summery design including a jaunty flower.
The hat here is the final prize from the Lillou Merlin Designs mini hunt from Free Dove, at the mainstore and needing that Free Dove group tag to claim. It's called [LD] Georgiana Hat - Black and has a resize script built in, a great neutral color with black band and edging to go with anything you choose. The dress I'm wearing here is a gift found back at the Free Dove, the Alia Dress Shirt Jeans from [[ Masoom ]]. The one-shoulder dress includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, a wide enough variety that may fit others as well. I am a fan of the rich blue color, flattering to any skin or hair color.

The black and white floral pattern is very elegant, and the short wrapped shape is quite stylish.
Another flowery treat you can pick up at Free Dove is this sexy dress from I.M. Collection which is simply called DOVE Gift. It offers sizes for Hourglass, Maitreya, TMP, and Slink, and is very summery with its bare shoulders and back, and those alluring side slits on each thigh. If that name sounds familiar by the way, this is the same designer whose exclusive Fashion Dazzle offerings I blogged just last night. I was pleased to have another opportunity so soon!
One last look for the night, coincidentally another gift featuring flowers in its pattern. This is the current Free Dove gift from [Marquesse], called Summer Dress Purple. It is included in standard mesh sizes, but with this breezy style is well suited to work with mesh bodies as well. I have always admired handkerchief hems, they add such visual interest, and this bold print catches the eye too. I could happily dance the night away in this beauty.
I celebrated the 4th of July holiday a bit early this year with a barbecue at my parents' on Sunday, so today was a quiet one for me. Well, it didn't stay quiet when people in the neighborhood set off fireworks until 11:30PM, LOL, but I didn't go anywhere or do anything special. My area is way too addicted to fireworks, we saw one for sale in a grocery store the other day called Golden Showers *raises eyebrow*. I already picked up the Apricot since it is a favorite of mine, and may go back later to grab more. I must admit, I am in love with those dimples ;) The brows are so perfectly groomed without being overdone, and I love having the second version with freckles. Hiya everyone! It is time for a few more peeks at some goodies from The Wash Cart Sale, each item only $10L so you can perk up your summer wardrobe or freshen your living space on a budget. There is about a week remaining to visit the event and save lots of lindens on high quality merchandise. I also have some more glimpses down the Silk Road, the Silk Road Hunt VIII that is, and since the hunt ends in a couple of days I strongly suggest you hurry to search for those golden pagodas. They contain a wide variety of prizes for men and women, but I did notice a considerable amount of home decor this round for their Byzantium theme. Think of all the creative things you could do with that, especially mixed with some Wash Cart Sale bargains! Can you hear the wheels turning in my head, coming up with ideas?
This first duo of dresses is just a small sampling of the dozen versions offered on the NSP/Muse cart at The Wash. On the left is NSP Rosie Sleeveless Dress V1, on the right is V12, and each are just $10L and include standard mesh sizes. For this look, I slipped into a versatile offering from Lunar Seasonal Designs at The Wash, their HUD Driven Retro Summer Dot Dress with Bow, standard mesh sizes with a HUD that lets you choose from 6 background colors for this fun dotty pattern. The dress is just $10L and so are plenty of other choices on their Retail cart as well as a Full Perm cart if you are a creative type :) Their mainstore link can be found here, and the ending credits link will zip you to their retail cart (full perm cart is next door). I am leaning against one of the many items for sale for just $10L each at the Low Prim Living cart, their lovely [LPL] Celest Bookshelf with Poses. It has a land impact of just 8, and is quite detailed with everything you see on the shelves built in, including that nice bright lamp. There are 3 poses to choose from when you right click - sit, unisex so anyone can enjoy. Some of their other cart offers have poses too, while others have texture changing menus, these are useful additions to any home. Let's explore the Silk Road hunt a bit, this is a fun prize from Tayren's Fantasy Fashions called Female Roman Outfit in Green for SRH8. It includes the toga in standard mesh sizes, sandals in classic or Slink flat, cabochon necklace, and laurel leaf hair wreath with resize script built in. I am either ready for a toga party, costume event, roleplaying, or just randomly dressing in a different style than usual for me :) I am loving that rich texture, the green looks velvety and oh so touchable. There is a male prize provided as well, as with most of the stops in this hunt.
The Byzantine Empire seems to have been known for opulence as well as fascinating artwork, and this dress incorporates those ideas very well. It is our gift from Lillou Merlin Design called [LD] Thea Dress, and comes in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. The rich golden mosaic design is a striking example of Byzantine art, and its timeless beauty makes this dress even more special.
Our final look of the evening adds an Asian flair to the post, the prize from Prism Designs called Prism Kayo Geisha by Jezzixa Cazalet. It is provided in 5 classic mesh sizes as well as 5 fitmesh sizes, and the pattern resembles a tapestry that would be quite at home traveling the Silk Road. The luxurious colors are complemented by the black trim and wide belt with back bow.
My title tonight was pretty random, as I have been listening to a great deal of 80s music lately and hear that song by Richard Marx fairly often. It is another beautiful evening, my window is open and I'm enjoying a soft breeze, so I am grateful for a nice night.
