Palomma Plaza Pretties

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post comes from Palomma Plaza, which is always a pleasure for me to visit. Once known as The Free Dove, it is now in memory of Palomma "Dove" Casanova and keeps her generous spirit with us by bringing together wonderful designers who offer gifts for the free-to-join Palomma Plaza group. There are treats for men and women, including clothing, accessories, hair, shapes, skin, tattoos, and plenty more. For this post I've chosen some gifts in the same area of the store, from 3 different displays near each other, so my landmark should give you a red arrow in the middle of all three. 

My first look is our Grumble-Mystic Cats Dress gift, and it is definitely on the steamy side :) Such a fun single shouldered style, loosely tied on the left with a large bow and featuring a multi-eyed feline on a dark lacy backdrop. It comes in sizing for Erika, Freya, Kupra Bimbo, Low, Original, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies.

The Scrappy Scorpion display has a trio of fantastic treats for us, like this Simple Summer Shift. It is provided in Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a HUD offering 18 solid colors and 18 floral patterns. All the patterned options have a matching solid color trim, on the edges and the laces holding the V neckline in place. It may be simple as the name mentions, but it's also fun and flowy :)

Next I changed into the charming Tutti Fruitti dress from The Scrappy Scorpion. Its draped sleeves really caught my eye, very intriguing and unique detail! We receive sizes for Erika, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a 5 texture HUD. I'll be honest, I've never had the ice cream this dress was named after but I wish I'd had the chance to try it! I did think of the song too, also a classic that is technically before my time but still gets the toes tapping. The colorful textures we can choose from all have a spring or summer flavor in my mind :)

At first glance I thought the Bom, Bom, Bom! FATPACK gift from The Scrappy Scorpion was an apron, LOL, which I have seen many of in SL and would have gladly shared that way. But as you can see, it's a very flirty dress with open back and scalloped skirt that goes really well with the ruffled sweetheart neckline. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Prima Petite, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies, and includes a HUD with 10 patterns and 10 solid colors each for the dress and ruffles. I mixed things up as I usually do, but you can do a fully solid look or a completely patterned one, or go wild with the color choices too. 

For my final look of the night, I am sporting the sexy BFF Basalia's Fine Fashions - Ilyas Night out group gift. This eye-popping halter dress plunges down to below the navel, while the skirt just drapes across the bum without fully concealing the cleavage there ;) There are sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, as well as a HUD offering 10 amazing textures that are a mix of patterns like the sequins you see on the left. That one made me think of a showgirl, lol, and the one on the right reminded me of the old Twisted hunt cubes and the patterns it bore. I really do miss that hunt, but being at Palomma Plaza also made me sentimental for Dove so I am getting a bit sappy now ♥.

My day did not go as planned, since my outing did not happen and it was not because of me this time. Oh well, there's always tomorrow I suppose, although that would be immediately prior to dinner at my parents' which would make that extra stressful. Life has been weird lately, and I am almost afraid to look at social media each day with so many celebrities passing away the past few days :( They were all part of my childhood, teenage years, and a bit beyond, so it has been disturbing to say the least. I think it's making me mourn my youth too, little bits and pieces anyway. Gen X'ers are having a crappy week so please be kind to us. Friday FabFree

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we head into the weekend with some wonderful gifts for the FabFree in SL group, which I periodically share since lots more are added all the time. I'll be back to many of these stores soon too as they are doing another hunt this month, yay! For now everything featured are group gifts (not hunt prizes) available with their "I'm Fabulous" group tag active. It's always free to join, and one of those special groups that will always have a home among my group slots :) Even when RL gets chaotic, I know I can count on the fine folks at FabFree, both the blog and the group, to help me find free or affordable treats to give my avatar a fresh new look. 

My first stop today was HORL, where I happily picked up their Greta Dress gift for FabFree. This sweet ruffled minidress has a pretty plaid pattern, and a deep V neckline for a touch of sass. There are Freya, Isis, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes included. I don't see monochromatic plaid too often and I must say that I am a fan!

Another place I just had to visit was Emerald Couture, where I found this charming EC Valentina Dress Pink gift. The dress and gray belt each come in standard mesh sizes along with versions for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Because of their vendor system, you'll need to right click and pay $1L but it will be immediately refunded to you while the gift is delivered. I know that the heart shaped cutout was probably meant for a couple of weeks ago, lol, but I am a big fan of hearts for any time of year :)

[K-Style] has a treat for us behind their front counter (with other gifts, just look for the rainbow FabFree logo) called DEMETRA DRESS #10. It has such a cheerful, bright orange hue, and that flirty style! This is guaranteed to turn heads wherever you decide to wear it. We receive Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes of this sexy little number. 

The beautiful, versatile Mangula Sexy and Divine Set / Dress - [Vino] can be yours just for visiting the FAGA hair store with your FabFree tag active. Why Faga, you ask? Well, the designer stopped creation fashions to focus on hair, so Mangula is basically retired but there are a few gifts remaining as you can see :) We can wear the dress with or without the sleeves as they are a separate piece, and all are provided for eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite bodies. There are panties built in too, as there is a HUD included with 32 colors to choose from for said panties and the option to hide them. 

My final look of the evening is a stunning dress from Basalia's Fine Fashions called BFF Fayes sweater dress FP with 20 texture HUD. It is designed specifically to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and the aforementioned HUD has a mix of various patterns and ombres for us to select from. The ombre I chose on the left is the whole dang rainbow almost, lol, as I was craving bright colors. 

I went to my parents' at dinnertime to visit but didn't feel up to eating, as my anxiety was pretty elevated, but it was nice to see them. I missed part of the hockey game I wanted to see, but then its ending was so ugly for my team that I wish I'd missed the end instead of the beginning ;) The housemate allegedly heard a mouse downstairs, so I was summoned down to act as an emotional support human I guess? It's not like I could scare the mouse away or catch it with my bare hands or anything, shrug. My weekend should be quiet until Sunday afternoon, when I am dreading my therapy session where I confess my failures and see what happens from there. Basalia's Fine Fashion

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit a new-to-me store called Basalia's Fine Fashion, who offer fashions specifically crafted for the Maitreya Lara body. Any survey I have seen in the past few years indicates this is the most worn mesh body on the market, so if you are one of the many Maitreya fans (like myself) you can join the free BFF store group and claim about a dozen gifts at no cost. I appreciated the range of styles and colors, as variety is important to me :) In addition to the dresses seen here tonight, there were bikinis and a Christmas seasonal skirt set so there is a little something for many times of the year.

First up, we see the sexy BFF Charlene look in Hibiscous dress in a richly floral pattern that I love. The bodice is loosely laced closed for a nice view of cleavage, and the hips are exposed by bold openings for even more sex appeal. I think a C-string (crotch pasties) would come in awfully handy for wearing this out and about :)

The BFF Scoop back minidress in white is a great choice to wear when you want to look pulled together and classy, yet flirty. The high neckline in the front adds charm, while the short hem and back opening are tantalizing details.

Next I indulged the bird lover in me by changing into the BFF Bonnie Summer Baby doll Hummingbird group gift. I absolutely adore the print of colorful feathered friends, and the strapless style is great for the warmer weather that is on its way. I'd also happily layer mid-length shorts or capris beneath this for cooler times, just to get to wear it for multiple seasons :)

Two of the group gifts are different versions of the same style dress, so I put them both in this look for you :) The left is called BFF Aleta dress in damask red, and on the right we see the BFF Aleta dress in green lace. I simply could not choose between them, either the bold red with pretty white damask pattern or the soft minty green with subtle lace embossing. Dress them up or down with your choices of footwear and accessories to make either look your own. 

My final look tonight is the BFF Ariana look Sequined party dress Orange gift, and it is a dazzler! The deep color has a burnt reddish orange that is very flattering, with a nice texture that made me think "disco" for some reason :) The front and back are held in place by long straps on each side, showing off lots of skin without displaying anything inappropriate. This is one of those styles that will absolutely turn heads, don't you think?

My visit to the hand specialist turned into a bit of an adventure. I was expecting him to maybe tape the finger, suggest exercises at home or physical therapy...nope, he said we can either ice it and hope for the best or go with a cortisone shot. After 6-7 weeks of pain, waiting did not feel prudent so I opted for the cortisone 😳. The last time I had an injection of it was 20ish years ago, broken foot, and it was painful for a few minutes then fine. This hand one though, I'm afraid it is not so simple. Typing is miserable and I almost didn't blog tonight, but now my plan is to take tomorrow off from blogging (I am supposed to rest my hand) unless it makes a miraculous recovery. I was unprepared for things to work out this way but resting it might make it better for Wednesday or Thursday in the long run. Meanwhile I am icing it with cute little round ice packs, hehe, and admiring the growing bruise. If there is still pain in about a month I will need an MRI to see what is going on in there with the tendons. Other people have fun stories like they hurt themselves skydiving or snowboarding, then there's me with my injury in my sleep. The doctor isn't even sure what is wrong, something about a rare condition saddle-something (?) without fitting all the criteria so maybe not. Sadly this is not the first time I've ever baffled a physician, nor will it be the last I'm sure. I hope you're all having a pleasant day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!
