Doves Dream Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're honoring Palomma Casanova, also known as Dove, with some thoughtful gifts from the Doves Dream event. Her real life birthday was today, and her dear friend Shelby (who also runs the Palomma Plaza) has this annual shopping event to bring together some of the many talented folks who worked with Dove and wish to help honor her :) There are exclusive offers for sale here, and most of the designers have a gift for the Palomma Plaza group which is free to join. Many are in the same boxes you'll see at Palomma Plaza with its logo, but a few are in different gift boxes that shouldn't be hard to spot. Don't worry if you are having a busy day, because you'll have until the 11th of April to stop by and enjoy the event.

I started the evening with our Nala Design - Celi Outfit 4 gift. It is a fully loaded look, with the top, skirt, and boots that each come in sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies, as well as the choker and 3 sizes of jacket. They are numbered 0, 1, and 2, so just try each one on and see what suits your shape the best :) The fuzzy jacket works so well with the furred boots, and I always look at it as all fur in SL being faux so there were no animals harmed in the making of this outfit :) It's edgy yet feminine, both of which match my moods lately so I am very grateful for this gift. To be fair though, I am thankful for every gift and every designer who is taking part ♥.

Next we take a peek at the flirty 13 Avenue - Palomma Dress gift, which is wonderfully versatile. The halter dress is provided in Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing, with a HUD that lets us select from 10 choices. Half of those are colors with white trim, and the other half have black edging and lace. Another handy addition to this gift is the set of BOM panties, in 6 colors - black, blue, mint, red, white, and yellow. They are strapless so more like a C-string, so we don't have to worry about them peeping through the lace of the dress. 

The :::FTCOR:::MARILIA_DRESS::: F8 gift gave me quite a giggle, thanks to the green visitors from another world on the pattern :) I watch a lot of paranormal type shows, but they're about ghosts rather than aliens so I am no expert on these guys. They look great in glowingly bright green though, eh? This playful dress comes in Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, with a black corset belt and slender spaghetti straps. They come in peace, right?

This three-piece outfit is our [FAME] Set - Tamara / GIFT, in soft peach with a pink floral pattern on sections. The top, krop top, and shorts will each fit Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, and the krop top is the upper part on the left that I left off for the right side of the image so you can see the difference :) I love the color, even if it is a bit close to my skin tone and almost blends in, but I just think it's so nice for this time of year. 

My final look of the evening is the GS Jade Dress PINK treat from Gidget's Style. This belted mini dress has a deep neckline and curved dress shirt type hem, with cuffed sleeves and a terrific plaid fabric. It is provided in sizes for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. That hemline makes me want to layer some leggings beneath for chilly days, yet it looks so nice as a dress too. Now that's a dilemma that I don't mind pondering :)

My podiatrist visit went decently yesterday, although that with a few added stops made me so exhausted by the time I got home that taking the evening off from blogging was definitely the right move. I have a couple of tender toes, but nothing too concerning, and I'll be back there in 9 weeks for another trim and checkup. The weather got uncomfortably warm here the past two days, which will be even weirder when it drops to nearly freezing in a few days! Mother Nature needs a spa day or something, she's all out of sorts ;) I did gaming night with friends a day early (tonight) and it was a blast as always, with visiting the husband's Pokopia island as well as the usual games. It ran a bit later than planned, but we know how that goes because time truly does fly when you're having that much fun :) I hope you're all having a relaxing day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Lovers Lane Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a stroll down Lovers Lane, more specifically the Malus Park gridwide hunt by that name :) There are prizes for $5L or less in either red or pink hearts, thin but still 3D and easy to keep an eye out for if you follow the hints. They can be found at the hunt signs in most of the stores, or on the hunt website along with the landmarks and preview images. It is very handy to have it open while you're exploring the hunt. I'm always excited to see what each designer is offering, and you'll notice that some have multiple prizes so be sure to look around well.

I'm starting the post with our $5L prize from [Ari-Pari] which is appropriately called Love Dress. This charming sundress is provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes, along with a HUD offering 10 colors of the heart pattern you see above. That's such a bargain for all those lovely color choices, and I am drawn to the ruffled hem and the pretty bows atop each strap.

Find the dollarbie heart at @rOrO and you'll receive the adorable Ashley & Everly Hearts Pattern 3 outfit. The bare shouldered top is named Ashley, so naturally Everly is the shapely below-the-knee skirt with hem that comes to a point both front and back. Each piece comes in sizes for Erika, Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies. The black provides a fun contrast for the cream and red, creating a very appealing color palette.

Next we see one of the 6 Gidget's Style prizes, all for $5L apiece. This is their GS Abby Dress PINK, a trio of dresses in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. I'm wearing just the dress on the right, and the left is our dress with top; the version not shown is the dress with a light colored top beneath instead :) These are so versatile for any season, since you can decide if you are feeling like covering up your arms or not. In my RL weather, I'd absolutely be wearing a variety with the top ;) The dress itself has such a playful texture, and it looks great in the other colors too from the other hidden hearts.

Since I find the color pink to be very romantic and feminine, the TRS Designs Isarena Top prize is a fantastic choice for Valentine's Day. It's also hard to resist a $1L deal this pretty :) This heart contains Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes. The color caught my eye first, but the bare arms, turtleneck style, and cropped hem are all delightful details too of coruse.

My final look of the evening is one of many $5L prizes at Martines, actually it's the 10th of 10 hidden hearts. The 26LOVERSLANE10 treat is a daring one-piece outfit (can't decide if that's a skirt or open pant leg) in spicy hot pink with black lipstick prints all about, held by thin straps on the mostly open right side. It includes sizes for Gen X, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Lara X, Peach, Prima Busty, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'd like to note that the hunt website has 7 of the 10 hints, but if you click the red and pink hearts hovering over the hunt sign at the store, you'll receive 5 hints from each for a total of ten. It was a decent day here, but I am planning a very busy day tomorrow so I most likely won't have time to blog. Going out way earlier than usual and making several stops means that my usual blog prep time will be taken up, just keeping my fingers crossed that I tolerate the outing well :) That way it'll be worth the inconvenience. Enchanted Realms Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I found out about the Jingle Bell Event at Enchanted Realms, a fun shopping event with lots of seasonal or year-round exclusive offers and sales. As you can probably guess, there are also tons of generous gifts for the free group, and some of those are what you'll be seeing here this evening :) We are always so spoiled this time of year with a bounty of gifts, and I wish I had time to thank each designer individually for all of their generosity. You'll get to spend some time unpacking dozens of goodies like I did :)

My first look is the wonderful GS Jordan FITMESH Dress PERIWINKLE gift from Gidget's Style. The sweater and skirt are separates, each provided in Gen X Classic/Dainty, Gen X Curvy/Dainty, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizing. Our skirt has a built in belt, and the sweater is opened just enough to bare a little bit of cleavage.

I feel like simple flats or sandals and a choker whose metal matches the belt would be ideal accessories, but I also view all of my photos and mentions as "serving suggestions" like you see on frozen food boxes ;) Your way of doing things will look different because we're all unique, and we get to enjoy that variety and personalize things just right for our own tastes or moods. 

It was a fairly calm day here, which might sound like an unusual description but it's the first word that popped into my head :) I didn't go anywhere and there have been no critters downstairs (traps are empty at least) so nobody had to go releasing frantic mice at a snowy park or woods. Sometimes quiet is a very good thing, especially with a busy day ahead. Tomorrow I'm going out early, so I have to get my blog pics and notes taken care of very quickly before my pre-outing nap, might not even have time for Advent collecting until I get home. It would be tempting to skip an evening of blogging, but there's so much more that I want to share that I just cannot justify it.  Hiya everyone! Tonight it is time to visit Malus Park for their 5th anniversary. They've got a lovely shopping event for us to enjoy, with a familiar array of wonderful designers offering sales items and a free gift for all. Fall-ing With Malus Park

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have a few more offers to show you from the Malus Park Fall Festival. The event area is beautiful, and I am glad we have a few more weeks to get all our demos and pick from the many exclusive offerings. My first look made me a bit emotional because of the saying on the front. Our WTF - Change is Beautiful Shirt gift is completely free, and says "Fall Because Change is Beautiful". For someone like me, currently trying to change my mental health for the better, this is a very meaningful reminder :) There are Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh body sizes included. I've found myself becoming a fan of WTF Apparel very quickly, as this event round has been my happy intro to them.

Another fantastic gift you can find here is the @rOrO Candy Corn Sweater seen here, which looks as cozy as it does sweetly seasonal. It was an odd sort of day, with a brief unexplained power outage in the early afternoon and an unplanned outing to see my mom for her birthday :) She could easily pass for my dad's daughter instead of his wife, lol, so time is still being kind to her. Speaking of my dad, he's going to the sleep study doctor next week so the sleep apnea issue can be addressed. He still has no energy and a high heart rate, so it will be great to get it under control. He will be 82 in a couple of weeks, so keeping an eye on his health is crucial. I'm dealing with an uneasy stomach and some rising anxiety about Thursday's dentist visit, so SL is going to provide a distraction for me later. Crystal BLUE Persuasion

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I had fun visiting the August-September round of the BLUE SL Event, where you can find great offers including $50L exclusives, and many VIP group gifts as well. The group is free to join, so all of those generous gifts I'm sharing this evening are yours entirely free :) For a few I had to pay $1L to the vendor but it was automatically refunded while the gift was delivered, so no big deal. The current round is open until the 8th of September, and it just opened so you have plenty of time to stop by and enjoy. I made it a habit to use a song title for my blog post titles when covering this event long ago, and I had a hard time deciding which song to continue my tradition with. However that is the explanation for the name :)

My first look of the evening is our Violet Skies - Workit Leggings & Shirt gift. Please note that several of the items are no-copy so you do need to manually unpack this because we cannot copy things into our inventory if they're attached to us. The shirt and leggings each come in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Petite X, Maitreya, Petite, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Prima Petite, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh body sizes, with a HUD for each that offers 5 patterns and 5 solid colors to match. This makes for one versatile outfit! I had to right click the leggings HUD and add to HUD (I just chose one that was empty on my screen, lol) then edit and rotate until I could see the HUD's buttons, because it defaulted to being worn on my right hand instead of my screen. Sometimes SL just does that, lol, but it really only took a moment to remedy and will default to the new location each time you add it in the future. SL's quirks do not diminish my enjoyment of this vibrant, fun outfit at all :)

Next I'm feeling marvelous in the Nut & Squirrel Flaminia gift, from the brand formerly known as Telsiope's Couture. This gorgeous gown is provided in sizing for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Peach, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers 10 solid satin textures and 12 colors with rows of sequins like the red on the left above. If I were going to a formal event and wanted to look sexy but still all essentials covered, this would easily be my first choice.

Gidget's Style is offering a great gift called GS Georgie FITMESH Mini LAVENDER, seen above, and I'm very grateful for it. This silky slip dress is provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Maitreya, Lara X, Peach, Prima Busty, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh body sizes. The hem has pretty daisies in black all around, and those side slits add an extra dash of sensuality.

The @rOrO Teal & Pink WDNC Club Shirt is a double helping of sass for free :) Each color will fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The details on this short sleeved hoodie are plentiful, from the front pockets holding glasses and a yellow highlighter, to the "Proud Member of WDNC" on the front that is explained on the back as "We Do Not Care Club, Second Life Chapter" on the back. Funny thing, I tend to say that I care too much to the point of overload so I wind up having to shut down for a bit. That makes it seem like I don't care at all (the world is still a dumpster fire in some ways) but I promise I do care ♥. Can't resist clever humor though, and yes I will add pants before wearing these in public. I definitely care about not displaying the nether regions to the world at large!

One final look of the night, we have the cozy looking treat from Just Imagine called SPRING APRIL gift by JI. Our chevron knit top is provided in standard sizes along with Belleza, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes, while the skirt has a similar set of sizes - standard, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. I used my Lara X HUD's alpha tab to hide just a couple bits and pieces here and there, since for once I didn't feel like making the switch from one body to the other. That's mainly because I could see that the clothing is not skintight and it would work pretty well :) I think this is going to be a great outfit for when the weather gets a bit more mild, since autumn is bound to arrive eventually.

Your magpie is being a nervous Nellie tonight, fretting about the dental work tomorrow, but I am distracting myself as best as I can and trying to focus on getting this accomplished for future mouth health. The fistula (that lil bubble or pocket thing that led to all this) went away immediately after the procedure 2 weeks ago and is not back, so I am glad I'm doing this. If the old root canal and crown were failing, the redo should make things happier and healthier so that is a plus. I've got soft foods on hand again for the next couple of days, and I am taking tomorrow off from blogging because you don't want me trying to blog while post-nitrous groggy ;) I hope you're all having a peaceful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Rhapsody in Blue

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're headed to the BLUE SL Event, as you probably guessed from my using a song title with the color in it ;) It became a habit whenever I share group gifts from here, as I am impressed by how many songs have "blue" or any color in their names. The gifts you're about to see are yours for free with the event's VIP group tag, which is free to join. A couple of them needed you to pay $1L but it is automatically refunded while the gift is delivered, so no big deal. This round is open until the 8th of August, and not all the sales offers or group gifts are blue but you can certainly find some if that's your favorite hue.

My first look is the lovely GS Gail FITMESH Dress w/HUD gift from Gidget's Style. This flirty full length gown has a daring neckline to match the high center slit on the skirt, and I do love halter styles :) There are sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Prima, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh bodies included, along with a HUD that offers 8 colors for us to select from. I did go with a dusky blue on the left as a nod to the event name, but they are all wonderful colors. Quick note - the color HUD is no-copy so you will have to rez out the gift and unpack it manually, since we cannot copy an attached no-copy item to our inventory. It's a quirk of SL and important to remember anytime an unpacking HUD doesn't give you all of its contents...just check to see if anything in there says no copy. If so, go traditional with unpacking.

Next we see the playful Allure Couture Suki Dress Set Rose gift. Its pretty pink skirt, C-string (crotch covering), and shoes + socks (single piece) will each fit Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. My Legacy feet were not playing nicely with the shoes at any height, so I simply used the body HUD to alpha them out :) Sometimes that's the easiest way to get boots or similar footwear to fit too, if they aren't intended to show off any of the foot itself like a plain sandal would.

It was a decent weekend here, hot but I did manage to stay cool indoors. Therapy went well earlier, and I am going a couple more crowded places this coming week to help convince my brain that it is safe :) I'm not necessarily looking forward to it, but understand that it's necessary to keep moving in the right direction. Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing you a handful of Peace On Earth 10 Hunt prizes, and am again struck by the generosity of the participating designers. Just keep in mind when you see these prizes, that they are offered completely free just for our visiting the stores and searching for the hidden globes. The quality is outstanding, and I do keep many of the landmarks for future shopping expeditions because I am so impressed by what I see. The hunt website is extremely helpful for finding hints and for ensuring that you are in the right location, as the landmarks are updated on the site sometimes before they are fixed in an individual globe, and occasionally a store needs to be skipped so you can find that info plus the next correct link on the site. With nearly 300 stores taking part, this is a huge hunt that will take you to old favorite stores and possibly some new favorites :) I also enjoy seeing the holiday decorations in so many of the locations, just another example of the wealth of creativity in Second Life.

We start the evening with a sparkly gift from MARIPOSA, their ~m~ Mini Wrap Glitter POE 10 which sounds like it was designed specifically for us hunters. There are sizes for standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Ocacin, Slink Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine, so quite a range of options. The wrap style makes for some attractive draping, really accentuates our curves. There are also face and body lights included to enhance the glitter appearance, I am not wearing them since this is not animated and you can't really see the glitter moving in my image but I do suggest at least trying them on to see what you think. I normally wear the face light for my GA.EG head and I do think that helped.

Gidget's Style has this GS Gilda Mesh Dress tucked inside their hidden globe, just waiting for you to give it a click to claim it in 5 standard mesh sizes. The deep burgundy shade is topped with a ruffle on the skirt adorned with elegant gold ornaments, a pretty pattern that will add some festive cheer wherever you wear it.

This cuddly looking sweater dress is our prize from Maci, their Christmas Knit Dress. It is included in sizes for Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The pattern is a traditional winter sweater design with cute snowflakes, and I would be tempted to wear some solid colored leggings or jeans beneath this if I wanted a tunic look instead of the short dress.

This stunning look is our prize from Matahari, called Eirlys Mesh Dress Ice Blue. The strappy dress comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and standard mesh sizing, and the ceramic snowflake necklace and matching earrings are included as well. They mirror the snowflakes of the pattern found on the sheer layer of the skirt, which complements the crackled ice of the main fabric design perfectly. 

This playful romper is from 1 Hundred and is simply called POE 10 Gifty! Lace Romper. Find the globe and you will receive this in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The lace is accentuated with some beautiful embroidery in a snowy white that shows up terrifically on the bright red of the lace. This might be a nice choice for snuggling in front of a fireplace with someone special on a chilly winter evening like tonight.

In each of tonight's photos I have been enjoying various manicures from our prize found at LUNA Body Art, and here is a closer look at these wintry designs. You will receive HUDs for Slink, Belleza, Maitreya, and Vista when you find the globe, and each offers 10 designs: 5 colors each in solid or with a reindeer silhouette on it. The darker colors have him in white, while the gold nails have the reindeer in green and the white has him in red. It is an elegant way to decorate your nails for the season.

It was a good day here, despite the snow, which started falling at least an hour before I went out but not too heavily. All told we got about 2 or 3 inches of snow, but it should melt quickly in the sunshine tomorrow from the roads. The market was decorated with beautiful Christmas lights and wreaths, it is indoor so they were strung high on the ceiling and it looked magical.
