Avangardista Group

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's time to check out some gifts for another multi-designer group, as you know how much I enjoy these tours across the grid. The Avangardista group is currently free to join, so all these lovely gifts are yours for absolutely no cost. I'm a devoted bargain hunter, so it makes me very happy that these gifts are such high quality. Some folks may see the word freebie and think it means it will be something old, inferior, not worth picking up...but I am determined to show you that there are plenty of gifts out there that we can truly appreciate :) I spend most of my lindens on hair, skin, and cute animal companions, LOL, so it's not that I am trying to exist in SL without spending real money. I do make use of tip jars and charity donations too, since frugal doesn't mean stingy. Okay, so are you ready to see some wonderful gifts?

Our first stop of the evening is MONOMANIA, in their new location (or it's a new branch?) where their thoughtful gift is called Elegance Cream. This outfit includes the satin top and belted loose pants, each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The matching sandals fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink feet, so we have the ideal pair of footwear already selected for us :) The only thing I might add is a necklace or bracelet if I feel the urge. 

If you are a loyal fan of the original Maitreya body, the Petry Model --> Dress UB gift seems to have you in mind. That would be the single size included of this beautiful dress with floral bodice and lacy layered skirt, and I am really delighted to find this treat. I know there's been some disagreements in group chats over Lara 5.3 vs. Lara X, some who say they'll never wear Lara X and others who switched over permanently with no intentions of using 5.3 anymore. I'm fond of both for various reasons, already have a large collection of clothing to fit 5.3, but have seen some incredible designs that are only for Lara X too. So they're both regulars for me, along with Legacy, so I have to look to see what HUD I've got attached to remember what the heck body I'm wearing sometimes ;) 

Hilly Haalan has a fantastic gift for us in their gift building, so please use the teleport board to get to the building (or follow the red arrow from my link) and look for the Avangardista sign on the back wall. There you'll find the [hh] Avielle Set waiting, with 2 blouse versions and the matching skirt. All of these fit eBody Curvy, Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The HUD is a doozy, offering 20 colors each for the top main and top straps, 10 for the sleeves in lace and upper ruffle in lace, 20 for sleeves plain and sleeves ruffle plain, 10 for lower ruffle in lace and 20 for it in plain, 20 each for skirt and their straps, plus 2 metals each for top eyelets and skirt eyelets and buckles. If you just went "umm what??" we can summarize as every portion you see here has either 10 or 20 colors, with 2 metal tones. The top's two versions are with and without the longer sleeves, so you can try them on and see which you prefer.

For some metallic shine, I suggest grabbing our T.B.O.M:Giulia Lace Mini Dress gift from The Best Of Me. This sexy strapless minidress has a black lace inset that plays peekaboo with our cleavage and belly, while the solid fabric has a playful reflective nature to it. There are sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies provided, as well as a HUD with 15 color choices. This feels like a club dress to me, something to go dancing in :)

Our final stop this evening is Fatal Fashion, where I found the stunning Top & Skirt Flor gift for us high on the wall with many other generous goodies for various groups. This crimson pairing of one-sleeved top and diagonally hemmed miniskirt includes sizing for Gen X Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies each, so I swapped back to my Lara X from the 5.3 I'd been wearing thus far. This is such a flattering style with fun details like the dangling laces and the way the sleeve loops around the thumb :)

Why am I chilly again? LOL, the answer is that Mother Nature has lost her dang mind I guess, but it's 45 out and 68 in here. It's been averaging about 75 in my room so that is lower than I'd have expected. My week is all topsy turvy, as we wound up switching gaming night from Thursday to Tuesday because I'll be getting my hair cut then instead. I thought I would be lucky to get in next week, never dreaming this week would be possible, but I'm taking advantage of that good luck :) We are still getting used to the new DLC in Hello Kitty, City Town, and it's very detailed so there is much to learn and experience yet. It is exciting! My friend and her husband always keep me laughing, and I so appreciate getting to spend time chatting with them. Happy Anniversary Cosmopolitan

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a celebration of the Cosmopolitan Event and their 14th anniversary, part two since it's their second round of April. They are each about two weeks long, so this one just opened today and goes until the 25th :) Their group is free to join, and there are plenty of generous gifts (mostly in black bags) as a nod to the special occasion. I've been a fan of Cosmo for ages and am so delighted that they are still as successful as always, so I offer huge congratulations to them and best wishes for the future.

I started out feeling a bit Barbie-like (the hair and the colors I chose on the left, LOL) in a very good way, with our [hh] Dayra Skirt Set gift from Hilly Haalan. The halter top and miniskirt are each provided in Gen X Classic, Legacy, Perky, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies. The enclosed HUD offers 30 options for each piece, mostly solids but some fun patterns as well. There's also a BOM panty included that is tintable, so it can match any of the colors you choose. 

Sometimes our gifts are playful separates that can be combined with each other or anything we already have and love :) The FashionNatic - Asami Top GIFT COSMO is a slip of a tube top in sizes for Lara X, Petite X, Legacy, Nerido, Reborn, Juicy, and Waifu mesh bodies. The soft colors and daisy pattern are lovely touches. I added some pizazz with the Jingle Belle Shorts by LAP Pink, with an irresistible sequined pattern that is ready to sparkle and shimmer when you move. We receive Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn sizing, along with a HUD to choose from non-PBR or PBR texturing. This way you can see the sequins no matter which viewer you are currently running.

Blackstone has a fantastic gift for us too, their Eisha Set - Petrol. The deep turquoise color is captivating, and I'm in love with the playful sheer ruffles on the also translucent striped blouse :) It and our ruffled skirt are provided in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD for the belt (built into the skirt) offering 20 belt hues and 6 metals. 

Here I swapped out the blouse for our charming ::insanya:: Celine Top Gift. Halter tops always catch my attention, and this one has a pale blue floral pattern that is perfect for spring. There really is something about daisies that always makes me smile :) The gift includes lots of sizes, too - Freya Natural, Freya Perky, Isis, Venus, Kupra Bimbo, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Perky Petite, Maitreya, Maitreya V-Tech, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. I decided to wrap up this post with a tasty treat, which would be the .FOODIE. Mini Birthday Cake gift :) There are left and right hand versions, each with a hold pose built in. The square cake is decorated with a bow and has gold Happy Birthday lettering in front of it on the square plate. What flavor do we think it is? My guess is strawberry, but with our imaginations it can be anything we wish.

It was a warm and decent day here, with my thermometer showing 73.6 in this room at the moment. It was 76.4 when I was in here for my support group session, so you'd better believe the fan was on the whole time! My hockey team made the playoffs for the first time in 6 years, so that is worth celebrating too. I probably raised the heat in here by screaming so much, LOL, but it was a really exciting game that had to go to overtime and then a shootout. Tomorrow I've got a dentist visit (cleaning) so no blog post as I'll be in a post-nitrous haze, probably assisted by the muscle relaxer that has been helping some with my neck. I'm somewhat nervous but maybe a little less than the last few dental appointments, just a minor positive I am noticing :) Meanwhile I hope you're all having a magnificent day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Mesh Body Friends

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I ran across several fantastic gifts for the Mesh Body Friends group, which is free to join so all of these gifts are entirely free. We know that I adore the multi-designer groups as a great way to find out all the news from lots of stores at once, and of course the gifts are a lovely bonus :) If you have a favorite group of this sort or a store who's loaded with gifts for those groups, I would love to hear about it in the comments. Meanwhile let's take a look at some generous treats!

Our first stop this evening is Hilly Haalan, where you can find their [hh] GIFT Arista Dress among other gifts for this and other groups by teleporting to the group gifts room. This gorgeous red mini comes in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. The many straps wound around the waist are such a fun detail, much like the little golden clasps present on them.

I must admit, I misinterpreted this outfit when first glancing at the vendor image ;) The TOG STORE . Omeko Set is our flirty gift with touches of fishnet on the skirt, and I'm going to suggest you wear your some panties beneath like they must have done in their photo. The top and skirt are each provided in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kupra Ups, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes. There's also a HUD, with 20 colors apiece for the top, laces, and skirt portions. The back of the skirt is entirely fishnet, so nearly bare bum, and that white flower you see on the front is something I added in Photoshop and not in SL or part of the outfit whatsoever. I really appreciate the versatility of the HUD!

Next we get to turn up the heat in our new [K-Style] TONIA DRESS #5 gift. The plunging neckline makes for a flirty view both front and rear, and that vivid shade of blue is simply fantastic. There are sizes for Freya, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies included. 

I also visited Bens Beauty and picked up their wonderful Vika Dress for the group. It comes in Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Kupra Ups, Legacy, Nerido, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Peach, Reborn, and Juicy mesh body sizing, along with a HUD offering an impressive 50 dress colors and 6 metals for its attached belt. The crossed straps in the back are one of my favorite styles, and the large rings on the belt remind me of one I wore in RL many years ago :)

For my final look of the night, we've got the V-Twins - Viper Outfit gift, which will certainly command attention when you walk into any room. The dress, separate sleeves, panties, and above the knee boots are all provided in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'm sure you can tell that there is a HUD also, and that has 12 colors each for dress, sleeves, panties, and upper and lower portions of the boot, plus 3 metals for the dress and panties each. So that is a lot of options, which also helps us feel powerful. I think that's a great way to feel sexy too, being in control :) The first detail I noticed was the piercings on the bust, like a pair of nipple piercings are peeking through, then of course I noticed the single shoulder strap and the chain draped against the waist cutout. The rear view shows the side zipper on the dress quite well, in case those weren't enough fun features for you ;)

It is a winter wonderland here in RL, with about 10-12 inches of snow and some sleet and ice piled on top of that. Fortunately, knock on wood, the power is stable and the generator has not been put to the test. I had a productive therapy session earlier, followed by some relaxing gaming (Animal Crossing New Horizons, Hello Kitty Island Adventure) so I am doing okay. I'm hoping everyone in the path of the recent storm is safe and warm, and my thoughts are with anyone who may have been feeling unsafe lately in general. My anxiety makes the world feel really unsafe anyway, so when the news is ugly I get even more fearful. We are stronger together than divided. Under Palomma's Tree

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we've got some gifts to open from under a Christmas tree. If you are a member of the Palomma Plaza group, you can claim all the free gifts under the tree as well as all the ones you see around you on the main floor :) This location is in memory of the owner of The Free Dove, Palomma Casanova, who made it her mission in SL to ensure that everyone could afford to look and feel their best with treats from top designers. It also helped new residents find their footing, and residents who took a break and came back to big changes (mesh clothing, mesh bodies, mesh heads, BOM, etc.) relearn the world we all love. Her generosity lives on, and she loved the holidays so this Christmas tree is extra special in her honor. Join the free group if you're not already a member, and treat yourself to some amazing new goodies!

I'm starting the evening in style, thanks to our [Glitzz] Alice Gown - Palomma Xmas Gift. Isn't it gorgeous? This strapless gown with a full skirt and large rear bow is provided in sizing for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The colors in the plaid pattern are just right for the season, and it will be easy to accessorize this look if you wish.

Sometimes for the holidays we want to dress up a little more than usual, and this goes to show that skirts are not the only more elegant option :)

A wonderful way to get into the holiday mood is by wearing our Graffitiwear Xmas Tree Santa Lady gift from beneath the tree. My final look this evening is one of two from NILSY, this one being called NILSY SANTA GIRL DRESS. Both folders will have the same name which is actually the other dress, lol, but I'm certain they have different contents :) This one reminded me of a disagreement I saw in the comment section somewhere (yt) about what Mrs. Claus' first name is...I'd always heard Mary so that is my headcanon, while other guesses were Jessica and Elizabeth. Would she wear this beauty if she were in SL? I think so! It is provided in 5 standard and 5 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, along with sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. By the way, the video I mentioned there was Mrs. Claus complaining that Santa doesn't ever call her by her first name anymore, as she made a point to call him Nick and Nicky several times, and asked if he even remembers her first name. It seemed he didn't ;) I have more faith in him that if he can figure out how to deliver so many presents in one night, he can certainly recall his wife's full name. 

I have several goals for this weekend, one of which is to find my scarf and gloves because I will definitely need them for the farmers market in the morning. I manage to misplace them every time the weather gets warm enough to not need them, and they get forgotten until the temps dip as they are now. Brain fog makes life interesting I guess ;) I'm happily listening to holiday music on the music channels on my TV (Music Choice) and getting ready to see how fast I can do my Advent run before I head to sleep for a few hours before said market...I've got dozens of teleports ahead of me once the clock strikes midnight, and more group tag changes than I can count.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we're checking out some gorgeous group gifts from Hilly Haalan, which I've always felt was a top notch brand as far as quality and generosity. After all, they have an entire building dedicated to their group gifts! The group is free to join, and there are treats for other groups in this spot as well. I know I've shared gifts from them before, so I am trying to ensure that these are new to the blog and hopefully new to you as well :)

My first look of the evening is the lovely [hh] GIFT Amalia Dress. It has a fun double collar linked to the dress by two straps in the front, while chains hold up the bodice as well. Cutouts on each side show off a bit of midriff. Our gift includes sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Prima Busty, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies, along with a HUD offering 20 colors for the dress and 6 metals for the chains. I do appreciate versatility of course, and HUDs do provide that quite easily.

This sexy strapless mini is our [hh] GROUP GIFT Juno Dress, and I am definitely a fan! It hugs our figures in satin, in your choice of 30 textures via HUD that offers a few prints and lots of great solid hues. The dress fits Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. 

Next I slid into the beautiful [hh] GROUP GIFT Lilo Dress, which you can wear in a version with or without materials enabled. These both come in sizing for Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Perky Petite, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Prima Busty, Prima Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. If you guessed that there's a HUD provided too, you get a gold star ⭐ and the choice of 20 colors apiece for the top, skirt, and straps, plus 2 metals for the clasps. The lace at the hem is sheer and comes up pretty far, so I do think panties would be an advisable addition.

I feel like the style of our [hh] GROUP GIFT Susu Dress is sweet and feminine, with a touch of business casual :) It looks like a layered set but is worn as one piece, in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn mesh bodies. There is also a HUD included, with 30 choices each for the blouse body, blouse sleeves, dress, and blouse buttons. You know that means I'm gonna mix and match to my heart's content, it's too fun to resist playing with all the buttons.

My final look of the night is our [hh] GROUP GIFT Elena Dress, a playful halter style with gathered and tied sides to accentuate our curves wonderfully. My weekend started calmly, then therapy today was intense but productive (reframing some thoughts to not feel like I failed last week) and then the evening happened. The housemate tripped and took a tumble, and as a massive human being both by height and weight, well let's say that "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" is absolutely true. Tripped over a cord, fell through a side table, sent electronics and a beverage flying, which naturally is a bad combination. Other than bumps and scrapes I think he's okay but will be sore and bruised for a bit. The table shelf thingy will need replacing, as it was relatively cheap and flimsy so any attempt to repair would be pointless. I don't think anything electronic was damaged, so that is reassuring. My fingers are crossed in spirit for quick healing, I say in spirit because my neuropathy wouldn't appreciate if I crossed my fingers for real ;) I hope you're all having a pleasant day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Group Gifts Galore

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're taking a look at treats for two multi-designer groups, visiting 3 different stores, so it is variety squared ;) The groups are ShopaholicsSL and Mesh Body Friends, both of which are currently free to join. As you can gather, there is some crossover with some of the designers being contributors to both groups (among many others) and so it is handy to have as many group slots available as you can when visiting some generous stores. I was so excited when they gave us all more group slots, and then of course I used them all up quicker than a hiccup. *shrug* It's too tempting to join all the groups and claim all the goodies!!

My first stop was Hilly Haalan, where there is an entire building dedicated to group gifts for several groups including their own. The Shopaholics treat is called [hh] Brielle Set, and it is a beautiful pairing of ruffled top and skirt with built in panties. Each piece fits eBody Curvy, Freya, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. There's also a HUD provided so we can select from 12 colors each for the top, upper ruffles, bow, lace trim, upper strap, lower strap, back strap, ruffles with white band, skirt, skirt strap, skirt lace, and panties. We can also hide the panties and the upper strap, so there are so many possibilities here for us to enjoy :) 

Over at Alias!, I grabbed not just one but two gifts for different groups. The Shopaholics goodie is the adorable Bunny Hug Pastel Green outfit, and words cannot explain the cuteness here ♥. I shall try though ;) The long sleeved crop top is provided in 3 classic and 3 fitmesh sizes (each S, M, L) for classic avatars along with Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizes. The shorts have a similar set of sizes - 5 standard mesh, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. They each have bunnies of course, on the front of the shirt and on the front and back (booty bunny!) of the cinched shorts. Then we have accessories, specifically the unrigged slippers with floppy bunny ears and tail in the back, and a sweet bunny to hold onto :) The mint green really shows off the white rabbit nicely, and I wore parts of this outfit last night to do a MadPea murder mystery game because I am a bit bizarre at times. I left the bunny safely at home (well, in the folder) so he didn't see all the grisly murders, and decided that sneakers were more practical than slippers that might absorb the blood and be hard to clean.

Another Alias! treat you don't want to miss out on is the Lovely Baby Blue outfit for the Mesh Body Friends group. Its jumpsuit, jacket, boots, and bear chain (waist) each come in sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Perky, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I'm always drawn to any pattern with hearts on it in any color, and this shade of blue is such a bright and cheery one :) I switched to my Lara X from 5.3 for this photo and the next one, then back again for the last one since I just go with whichever sizes are provided. I enjoy them both and use the same shape for both, so it isn't a big deal for me.

More hearts, yay! This time we are visiting {Chaotic}, whose Akia dress is their gift for Mesh Body Friends. The rainbow of hearts on the white background can be an early nod to Pride month, or simply a treat for those of us who crave color in our wardrobes :) The strapless style has a white top to match the ribbons tied around each upper arm, which are linked to the dress so it is all worn at one time. There are sizes for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies.

For my final look this evening, you'll want to switch back to your Shopaholics group tag to click the {Chaotic} Samatha sign and receive your new gift. The wispy dress and thigh high boots are each designed for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There's a HUD with 4 choices for the dress coloring, all of which are going to look wonderful with the neutral black boots and their spiky stiletto heels. The rear view might be a bit on the revealing side, so please choose your destination wisely when wearing this little number ;) I think back in the day they would call this look 'hotter than a two dollar pistol'.

Happy at Hilly Haalan

 Hiya everyone! Tonight it's a pleasure to start the weekend with some gifts from Hilly Haalan, a store so generous they have a separate building for their goodies :) Most are for their free store group, with the back wall featuring some for various multi-designer type groups, so it is well worth looking all around. These are years worth of treats, going back to standard mesh sizes that are easiest to wear on the classic avatar, with more recent ones close to the doorway that are for newer mesh bodies. It's a great variety, with a few different holidays represented as well as year-round wear, and I am always appreciative whenever I stop by.

My first look of the evening is our [hh] GROUP GIFT Debbie Dress, which even comes with a fun handbag to complete the style. The dress is one piece with the appearance of a blouse tucked into a skirt, in a classic M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. The handbag has a bento pose and a resize script built in, so just give it a click if you want to make it bigger or smaller. Personally I think it's a nice size as is, but could see going a bit smaller if I want to travel light :)

It is chilly here again in RL so the [hh] GROUP GIFT Kaia Dress absolutely caught my eye too. This is also a single piece with a layered look, designed for Gen X Classic/Dainty, Gen X Curvy/Dainty, Legacy, Perky, Perky Petite, Pinup Bombshell, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. There's a HUD included as well, with 20 textures each for the dress, sweater, sleeves, and dress liner. I really like the idea of combining a low cut dress with a knit top beneath, and versatility is always a plus.

Next I changed into the lovely [hh] Group Gift Women's Day Outfit, a chic suit with beautiful lace blazer. The jacket comes in classic M along with sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, while our pants have a classic M size as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. Matching heels are provided in Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high sizes, and the handbag for our left hand has a subtle holding pose when you wear it. The mix of pale shades of white and beige are very elegant, don't you think?

I kept the pants on from the prior gift to help me show you the next goodie, our [hh] GROUP GIFT Bella Sweater. A nice cropped sweater like this can be worn with so many bottoms from jeans to skirts and more, so you can pick your favorite item from your wardrobe staples and see what speaks to you for pairing with this beauty. It comes in Classic, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite mesh body sizes, plus a HUD offering 25 fun textures. Some are knit striped, with a few patterns like the animal print I chose in blue, and they are all excellent choices. 

For my final look, I chose the most recent gift [hh] GIFT Idylla Dress which appears to have been intended for Valentine's Day. If you have been here before, there's a chance you may already know my thoughts on that...we need more love in this world, and hearts are ideal for any day of the year ♥. If the name of the holiday was printed on it, or Cupid made an appearance on the print, then yes I would feel differently ;) So there are pink and red versions included, both of which you can see above, all in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Juicy Boobs mesh body sizing. There is even a BOM panty included that is tintable, and I must say it is a gorgeous lacy pair that I will probably be wearing with many of my other favorite dresses too :) Tint a pair for every one of your go-to skirts or dresses!

Are we ready for the weekend? It was a heck of a day here, so I am tempted to spend the next 24+ hours hiding in bed. The housemate has gout and has been trying to ignore a flareup, which naturally continued to worsen as a result. Now the pain is causing screaming with every movement, both in general and directly at me for, I dunno, existing. While I am sympathetic, it is possible to exceed the limits of my medication compassion with that much rudeness and poor planning. I'm sure I have been rolling my eyes at them more than usual, and my anxiety and depression are having a field day. My hockey team traded one of my favorite players, a good player who is also a genuinely nice person (charity minded, supports LGBT+, beloved by teammates) so that isn't helping my mood all that much. Another more famous player got traded from another team and caused a much bigger stir today, so you can probably tell the trade deadline before the playoffs happened ;) It causes chaos every season. MGSN Group Goodies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting several wonderful stores to pick up their generous gifts for the MGSN group. That stands for Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News, so all of the gifts should fit that body; some are compatible with other brands too, coming in various sizes or sometimes BOM which works for most bodies. I did switch from my Lara X body to my 5.3, since some of these gifts I found are a bit older and do not have a size for the Lara X. It's really easy to switch though, and I do recommend having an outfit folder for each body so you can add/remove your bodies, HUDs, and if you choose to use a different shape for each, you can swap them out quickly. It's also worth mentioning that the MGSN group is currently free to join, so this is a very budget-friendly post :)

My first look comes from smesh, and is their lovely Gift Dress To MGSN Group. The mini dress has a high neckline to counterbalance that short, short hem, and it comes in Maitreya and Petite sizing. There is also a transparency HUD included, with + and - buttons as well as an Off button to return to full opacity. On the right above I clicked the + button a few times to make the fabric somewhat sheer, which gives the bold pink color a softer salmon tone. 

This gorgeous pairing is our Delicatt Couture - Hellen Outfit gift. The shirt fits Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Hourglass Petite, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies, while the skirt comes in a standard fitted size along with Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. I'm sure it won't surprise you to see that we also receive a HUD with it, with 14 choices each for the top and skirt. Most of the top's textures are patterns, with a couple solids mixed in for good measure, and the skirt can match any of the patterns with a solid color. One detail I can't help but admire is the daisy-shaped lace on the neckline and the skirt's hem, really pulling the look together :)

Next I visited the incredibly generous Hilly Haalan store, teleported to the gifts building (TP pad where you land) and walked to the back left corner where I spied an MGSN group sign. There are a few great gifts here for this group, so I'm sharing two of them in the same look above :) The [hh] Gift Aileen Dress is the beauty on the left, and the equally striking [hh] GIFT FOR MGSN Divya Dress is the wrap dress I'm wearing on the right. Each of these are provided in a size to fit the Maitreya mesh body, and I really appreciate both their similarities and their differences. Aileen has a flirty slit on the right thigh, while Divya's wrapped front gives a tulip type opening in the front to show off a little leg too :) I also got a kick out of the contrast of the pale pink Aileen to the deep burgundy that Divya is sporting.

I need casual athleisurewear type outfits in SL too of course, so .: AlmaMiranda :. MGSN Animal Print Track Suit fits that bill in style :) We receive the tank top and pants each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. The pants have a black stripe down each leg, matching the waistband, leg cuffs, and the edging on the tank top. As I mentioned yesterday too, I really enjoy animal prints for playful moods.

My final look this evening is a terrific gift from a store who is a go-to for me when it comes to these multi-designer group gifts :) The MONOMANIA - Dynamics outfit has a sporty lifted tank top and fun pants with racing stripes, which each fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The coordinated sneakers are designed for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink flat feet, so they work with the same sizes/bodies as our clothing. So where is the best park nearby with a walking or jogging path? :)

Happy Anniversary Designer Showcase

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a celebration of another fantastic event, Designer Showcase, who are currently enjoying their 14th anniversary round. This means we get to claim several generous group gifts by joining their free group, and I had a great time visiting and exploring the sales offers. We have until the 20th to stop by, grab demos (and gifts), and return to complete our shopping.

My first look of the evening is our MAHOGANY Store gift called ~MS~ CAMPBELL SET. Its top and panty are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Lara X, and Reborn mesh body sizing, and the top has a long sheer panel with diagonal hem that has beautiful hearts decorating it. The panty is slightly lifted in the back, almost like a tiny wedgie LOL, which somehow intrigued and amused me. 

I also picked up the charming Ghee - DS Gift 2025 which is a fun outfit for this time of year. The cropped hoodie, short denim skirt, and belt will all fit Belleza Classic, Belleza Curvy, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh bodies, and can be worn separately or all together as I've done here :) The belt has a silver heart shaped charm attached that particularly caught my eye, and I appreciate the way the hood and cuffs of the top match the denim of the skirt.

Next I got to try on the I.M. Collection Yuletide Set, a gift that I can see getting a lot of wear out of :) There are sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies each for our jacket, pants, and heels. Did you notice in the rear view that those stiletto heels are pretty silver to match the buttons on the jacket and waistband of the pants? I do appreciate attention to detail, and there is something so elegant about this look too.

For this look I kept on the pants from the prior one, to show off not just one but two terrific tops :) On the left you can see the Evergreen - DS GIFT '25 which is a delicate lacy tank top in pale blue. It's provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, and Reborn sizes, and will go beautifully with anything you decide to pair with it. The BQ::Mayla Knotted Shirt:: Red Roses gift from BlondeQueen is the sweet treat on the right above, cropped to a similar length as its neighbor. I do love the knot in the front, and the sweetheart neckline that gives a romantic feeling just like the slightly puffed short sleeves :) The gift includes sizes for Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I'll be tempted to find a long red maxi skirt to wear this with, or maybe pants in a color to bring out the greenery of the roses.

My final look tonight comes from Hilly Haalan and is their stunning [hh] Joelle Dress gift. It is so flattering with the V neckline, fluttery sleeves, and softly ruffled hemline that falls below the knee. It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, and wait till you see the HUDs! The fabrics HUD has 25 patterns each for the front, back, and sleeves & ruffle, while the plains HUD offers 50 colors for each of those sections. As you can see here, we can mix and match between the HUDs so I do recommend adding them both while you decide on the look that suits your mood. I had a great deal of fun playing with them, and if you've read here before you probably know what a fan of HUDs I am :)

It was a quiet, snowy day here, and I am grateful that it wasn't as bad as some predictions indicated were possible. We got about 2" which is less than the 3-6 initially expected, and it is certainly cold but I should be able to go out during the week.
