Happy New Year

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Shop & Hop winter shopping event once again, this time the Snowflake sim/region which is one of 9 that you can explore until the 3rd of January to find discounted offers plus lots of free gifts. There is a lot to see here, and I have randomly selected gifts to show you to give you an idea of the many possibilities. I am also very excited to be moving on from 2020 and am moving into the new year with optimism and good wishes to all.

My first look of the night is an ideal representation of the name of the sim it's found on! It is the Secrets of Gaia gift called SoG Damia Gown Snowflake LE ~Silver~, and it comes in sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. The styling is so elegant, with its daring leg slit and bare back with ties gently draped down the center. 

Next we visit [The Forge] and have a look at one of their gifts for us called Candice Bodice, Cream. It actually consists of the bodice and matching shorts, each in Legacy and Maitreya sizes. I was drawn to the simple yet lovely satin texture, and the front pocket detail of the shorts. I am also pleased to show you the gift from Stardust called Mochiyuki - Blue Tattoo Gift. That would be the very pretty dusting of bright blue snowflakes from the nape of my neck to between my shoulderblades, included in system/BOM layers plus Omega appliers in 50%, 75%, and 100% opacity. This allows you to choose the brightness you desire, if you want a more faded look or a fresh pop of color.

Another gift from [The Forge] is their alluring Xandra Bodice, Red which is more of a bodysuit in my opinion :) It also comes in Legacy and Maitreya sizes, with lots of straps and cutouts that reveal plenty of skin while hiding just the right places. The deep shade of red is a classic for any time of year.

Here I slipped back into the shorts from photo #2, the Candice gift from The Forge, to show you two terrific tops. (Sorry I did things out of order, I have been a bit distracted....) On the left I am still chuckling at the Stories&Co. Mitch Tank Top - Merry, which clearly says Let It Snow, right? ;) Claim this gift and you'll receive sizes for Freya, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Flat, Maitreya Petite, Hourglass Petite, and Physique Petite bodies. For my final look of the evening, I would like to dazzle you with the gift from Son!a-Edge named Dubai Long Dress Xmas. It is a very detailed gown with lots of options, thanks to the materials HUD that offers 6 metal colors and on/off for the lace (bra cups), roses, and sheer skirt. I turned the sheer skirt off for the right side of this image so you could get an idea of what that looks like, and you can see the way the light reflects like sequins all over this beauty. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

Whew, what a day! I had dinner at my parents' and we discussed last night's news (death of my ex-husband) among other things, then home where I have been hearing fireworks off and on for several hours. I know the new year won't be instantly perfect or even that much better right away, but I have to believe that as it unfolds it will slowly improve over what 2020 was. That is my hope for each and every person reading this, a better year ahead with much love, peace, and understanding. Many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Celebrating Belle Epoque

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more birthday gifts from the Belle Epoque celebration, so if you haven't found all the free cakes yet this may inspire you. Their 5th birthday party has treats for everyone who visits with no group tag required, just find the small round cakes with pink trim and a pretty pink rose on top. Most can be purchased for $0L, while one or two just needed to be touched to distribute their reward for locating them. There are 10 from Belle Epoque themselves, and over a dozen other designers also joined the party with gifts for us to enjoy. We have until the end of the month to claim all these generous gifts. 

This versatile outfit is the prize from UNA. called Lana Pink. All the pieces are sized for the Maitreya mesh body, and those include black and white tops each in versions to wear with or without the skirt, plus the skirt itself has versions to wear alone or with one of the tops. I paired it with the Wednesday[+] Happy Birthday Belle Epoque choker, which is unrigged and has a ring closure with a trio of black crystals. The band is a perfect match for the slender belt attached to our skirt, so they seemed like a natural pairing. 

One of the many prizes from Belle Epoque can be seen in my next look, their daring Monique GIFT. Its front and back panels are held together by a wide satin hip sash, and like all their hunt gifts it is provided in Legacy and Maitreya sizing. 

This tempting look is the Belle Epoque - Megan - GIFT, and includes the dress and panties (completely strapless so more like a C string) in Maitreya and Legacy sizes for each. The regal purple color is beautiful, and I love the asymmetrical hem with daring slit in the front. That slit certainly explains the need for the panties ;) 

This striking dress is the Belle Epoque - Ella - GIFT. The red and green plaid made me think of Christmas, but also tartan, so I will especially want to wear it next month but not exclusively. The sides look like they either have buttons or snaps, mostly open but just the right ones holding things in place. 

My final look of the evening combines two prizes with a great result. The outfit is the Jun Grey & Purple from Luas, with a slim bandeau top and slit mini skirt each in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Legacy Perky, and Maitreya mesh bodies, along with a matching ribbon choker. It seems like the ideal frame for our gift from Stardust called Victoria - Black & Red Tattoo. This intricate body art is provided in system/BOM layers and appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, each in 50%, 75%, and 100% opacity (100% shown) so you can choose the intensity to give the ink a fresher look or a more faded, less recent appearance. It's all up to you. I like the way the outfit and tattoo each have pops of bright color with mostly their neutral shade, making them very eye-catching.

I enjoyed dinner with my parents, and am eager to visit the farmers market in the morning to see some terrific people and purchase lots of tasty food. Eventually they will probably have to revert to curbside pickup only, since our area's cases are on the rise, but for now I am still just being careful and enjoying the market as safely as possible.
