Hiya everyone! I hope you are all having a good week so far. Tonight I have more exceptional Wash Cart Sale bargains to show you, along with a couple of terrific Kiyomizu Hunt prizes. The cheery colors definitely made me smile, perhaps a nice refresher during a long week.
First we have a couple glimpses at the many deals available at the Living Vintage Family (LVC) cart at The Wash. These are their Cutie Pie dresses, on the left we have Hibiscus and on the right Peony. Each dress comes in standard sizes, and includes a HUD for your choice of top- white as on the left, or matching the rest of the dress as I've shown on the right. Another cart not to be missed is Emerald Couture, and I am delighted to show you two of their selections tonight. This cute Kelly Dress has 5 color options via the HUD, and is short enough that it would work well with capris beneath as a long shirt if you prefer. It's such a unique style, and I was drawn to that along with the great shading that gently highlights every curve. This is prize #70 in the hunt.

Hiya everyone! Leap Day is one of those quirky things that you can only celebrate every 4 years and nobody seems to know what to do for it. So I used it in the title, but my magpie treasures for the day are actually unrelated. Instead, I visited the new Kiyomizu Mall (the second version in the Meilan Bay sim is still open but maybe not for long, I saw some empty stores there but some have setups both places) on the sim of Nepessing, and it looks a lot like the original on the old Little Cat Green Eyes sim. There are lucky boards galore, along with a few gifts for the new opening, so I suggest you wander and enjoy :) In the credits I am linking each directly and it's not a fixed landing spot so you should get there directly, and if you're there and want to visit another from the credits I suggest opening the link and show on map so the red arrow beacon can lead you there.
My first treat of the night is a Lucky Board prize from Karin, who I discovered at the original Kiyomizu Mall and have been a fan of for some time. She is very generous with her store's subscribers, by the way! This is their Shift OneP LB Black with its lovely floral pattern and a sweet touch of lace at the neckline and cuffs. If your initial shows up, you will win this in standard mesh sizes.
Another store that makes me very happy is *pulcino*, and this is found right outside their newest branch as an opening gift. Just look to the left of the doorway and you can buy it for $0L. This is their Plantae camo dress in Ruby, and I actually didn't see it as a camo pattern at first but more of an abstract design. I really like that color, and the style is appealing with the single strap and playful hem.
Be sure to visit M*Motion and you can win this soft beauty, their C15-21 Spring Cardigan LB. The color is so delicate, and those buttons down one side are so well textured along with the cozy looking knit. I wish you all luck that your letter comes up :) An important note is that included with this but not shown are system layer spring dot socks with a Maitreya applier. The socks come up to mid-thigh or maybe even a bit higher, so I'm thinking maybe a nice pair of boots that don't need any special feet would be a useful pairing if you don't have a Maitreya body/feet.
White Shell has a simple gown on their lucky board at the new mall with a charming pattern to complement the style well. This comes in a single mesh size, so part of the luck needed is that it will fit properly ;)
I do have a nail note of the night, another lucky board prize from the new Kiyomizu Mall...this is from *GUARAN-DOU* and is their Kikka nails for Slink. The design is gorgeous, black and red divided by a diagonal gold stripe and adorned with 2 tiny golden flowers. I wore them with everything tonight as you can tell, couldn't resist!
Well I hope this day signifies a leap into spring, as I am ready for that beautiful weather and will even have my allergy medicine refilled tomorrow in preparation ;) Okay so honestly it is a year round thing that just ran out, but it does seem like auspicious timing. I really do enjoy lucky boards, as you know, and I have more treats to share from a variety of locations, even two different brances of the same store :) Any that require a group tag are free groups to join, which is always a plus. It's extra fun to bring a friend or two to a lucky board location, increasing chances that one of your initials will show up and the boards can change more often, plus it helps pass the time. Another good way to spend time is to read blogs of course :)
First we have an adorable one piece outfit from **milky-way, a sweater and skirt combo in a lovely grey knit with a deep teal skirt and a swirly pop of orange on the collar. This is a very generous lucky board prize from RD Style, a former blogger pack of 3 outfits! This is Marjorie#I, #II, and #III from left to right, and each in itself is complete with top, jacket, pants, and even shoes. The tops, jackets, and skinny jeans are each in 5 sizes, and the sandals are for Slink high. The outfit on the right which I showed without the jacket just for variety, includes a solid dark brown version of what you see in the others. I am going to get a lot of wear out of each of these, and probably mix and match for fun!
Back to **milky-way, so back to that group tag, this time their new main store location (see credits as always), for another wonderfully comfy looking outfit. This is also a single mesh piece, sweater and fun pleated skirt, included in small and medium sizes with a pair of cotton panties as a system layer for added modesty. The snowflakes are a pretty touch and make me think what snowflake designs I can add...earrings, nails, perhaps a necklace...a good outfit gets the wheels turning to make it your own.
One final look of the night, this time a lucky board from *CC* that doesn't even need a group tag :) There are about 2 dozen boards here, male and female clothing along with other fun surprises, so well worth bringing your friends and turning it into a party. This sexy number is the Military Style Embroidery Female Coat, in 5 fitmesh sizes, and I love the style and its many details. That rose hiding on the left lapel is part of the dress, and all those buttons are so playful, as is the lace at the hem.

I hope this finds you all having a wonderful Christmas Eve night or Christmas morning, depending on where you may be and when you may get a chance to read this :) I spent a few hours longer than anticipated with family, so I'm sure you'll all forgive me for running late tonight with such a good excuse. Now if you're like me, sometimes you don't want to deal with shopping in person so a great alternative is online shopping...for SL, that equates to the Marketplace. It really is like Amazon for avis! :) I put together 3 quick looks for the holiday from there, so if you need a last-minute holiday look then I hope I can help!
First we have a one-shoulder dress from DB, with a cheery pattern of ornaments all around. I like the pretty angel up by the shoulder, and the snowflake near the hem. This is completely free on the marketplace and comes in 5 sizes.
The red and white makes this dress suitable for Christmas, but the butterflies to me feel more like a year-round style. It's labeled on the marketplace as a Christmas gift though, free from ARSENIC*byC&T, so who am I to argue? :) You will receive not only the lovely dress in several sizes, but those adorable matching shoes too, all for the low low price of...free! I simply couldn't resist it.
If you need something elegant that fits into any budget, I recommend this gorgeous gift from Sharodie's Design. I love the styling, and you get a great fit with 5 sizes of dress to choose from and a pair of system layer gloves with a Slink applier included. I decided to accessorize it with a necklace from O.W. Dreams, a simple beaded necklace in the ideal colors for this gown. Both are free gifts on the marketplace.

Hiya everyone! I have some prizes to show you from my longtime favorite seasonal hunt (seasonal as in 4 times a year, one for each season), the Kiyomizu Hunt. It's time for their winter round, which just started on the 21st and runs until the 10th of January. Since there is no blog with landmarks, my best advice is to head to the Kiyomizu Mall and click one of the floating ghosts (some are found outside Milky Way store) and go to the website it takes you too. It's a personalized list of what you have and haven't found along with all the slurls of the ones you still need. I usually start by perusing the mall itself, picking up all the cute ninja cats in each store there. Here is a glimpse at some of what I got from those generous kitties...
First we have a terrific sweater dress from M*Motion, which you receive in 5 sizes plus a fitted mesh scarf, shown on the left. I wanted you to see on the right what it looks like without, just in case you prefer it that way. I love the pockets and the traditional knit design. This is prize #3 in the hunt.
Another wonderful sweater dress can be found in the prize from **milky way, who are #11 in the hunt and I think of them as a flagship store for the mall since their main store is there. This Winter Set includes the long sweater/jacket combo in small and medium, the comfy matching boots in XS, S/M, and L sizes, and the separate scarf which has a lovely drape in the back too. The little details make me smile here, like the bright buttons on the coat both front and back. The boots are for default avatar feet, by the way.
That's right, another sweater to enjoy! This is from cat #26 [Le muguet] and is their Knit Long Cardigan in 5 sizes. You can just barely see there is a grey or dark green layer at the bottom beneath, peeking out a bit. I'd still like to pair this with some nice tights or leggings, nothing fancy needed. Did you notice the buttons? Look closely, there are tiny reindeer on each one :)
Our last look of the night is not a sweater, hehe, but rather a strapless jumpsuit with a few large snowflakes gracing it and an attached belt. This is our gift from M&A who are #27, and we receive 5 sizes of it for a great fit.
Nail note of the night: I went with a set I'd already blogged before, but deserve another look, the [Critter] set by *pulcino*. 10 bright and cheery colors to choose from, each with a thin line down the center.
This holiday season is in full swing in my household, and I just spent a few hours working on some crab cakes for Christmas Eve. This is my 4th year of making them since my grandpa passed away, his unique recipe, and because of that I may be the only person to get emotional over frying crab cakes, hehe. So I wish all of you a beautiful day/night, and send festively magical magpie hugs to each and every one of you :)

Hiya everyone! It occurred to me that I've been mentioning various nail HUDs without showing you closer views, so tonight is a perfect chance to do so. I love that Slink hands give us the ability to do each nail individually, it made tonight's post a lot easier and allows for such flexibility and creativity. Well let's have a look, shall we?
First we have one that came in handy the past couple of days for me, the [Critter] HUD from *pulcino*. It's a lucky board prize, no group needed, and offers 10 color choices with very thin stripes of white or black (depending on the main color) down the center of each nail. This HUD only works for Slink hands and feet.
My next nail treat is a moving gift from Nail Me! and is called Fantasia. They offer 4 different designs in beautiful color combinations that remind me of foil or a more subtle version of water marbling, and you need a group tag but they are currently free to join. More good news, there are 2 other group gifts waiting for you too, so you have three fantastic reasons to hurry! :) They offer Slink and Omega HUDs for us.
I had also just picked up the weekly group gift from Hello Dave, whose frequent treats have found their way to my blog many times in the past and surely will again and again. This is Jewelled Snowfall and there are 6 different colors with delicate flakes on each, from pale green to a striking blue and even a deep red. Their HUDs are compatible with Slink and Omega.
Two gifts in one photo, we have a sample of group gifts available at LIVIA and they won't cost you a bit. Hiya everyone! Somehow I didn't find out about a free hunt until a couple days before it ends, it isn't on the websites I usually check for this sort of thing and I actually stumbled across the sign in a participating store and was shocked. It is the Sinner's Hunt - Envy organized by The Sinister Goth, there are 33 stores and it says it ends November 31st but since there is no such date, heehee, I'm assuming the 30th and therefore it's time to HURRY!!! I've found so many goodies already, and am pleased to share a few tonight. You're looking for a skull who has turned bright green with envy it seems, and there are hints/locations on their blog. Lots of male prizes too, so bring your favorite guy, your malt, whoever enjoys free gifts!
The first delightful prize I am sharing is this Envy Corset and Skirt pairing from The Little Bat, a store I am particularly fond of for indulging my secret inner goth side in fun ways. They are #2 in this hunt path and their gift includes the corset and skirt each in standard mesh sizes, in this hunt's favorite colors of green and black. Love it!
This was an unusual gift, that is probably the result of a tiny error on the designer's part but can wind up working in our favor...to explain, this is the Envy Tank and Jeans from Moonlitecat Creations and starts out with the system layer top plus an Omega applier for it. The pants, well the alpha layer certainly seems to be for the style on the left with the bell bottoms, but of the mesh and fitmesh versions of the pants in various sizes, most are the capris seen on the right instead. This doesn't play well with the alpha layer obviously, but most of my thighs were poking out without it. I consider this to be a bonus of 2 pants styles in one adorable outfit, and I can easily find an alpha that suits the capri length pants.
Suddenly I felt like a Bond Girl (woman!) in this sexy catsuit from Puddly Creations, #17 in our hunt path. This prize includes the open zipped catsuit in standard mesh sizes, along with the lovely Mary Janes for Slink high. The name is ENVIE and I think this hot number will turn plenty of heads.
Our last look of the night is a fantastic outfit from Dark Water Designs, #24 in the hunt, and it is simply called Envy. It includes the corset, long skirt, and belt each in standard mesh sizes so you could leave off the belt if you prefer or even wear the top with a different bottom or vice versa. As for me, I am very fond of the belt and of the way the corset and skirt go together :) The little hints of leopard print in coordinated green are a wonderful touch.
Nail note of the night: I used an excellent lucky board prize from *pulcino* named Critter, which can be found at their setup at a gacha event type location with lots of bargains from many designers and some other lucky boards around as well. The Slink HUD features 10 very bright colors, each with a thin stripe down the center in either black or white, depending which contrasts the base color best I'd imagine. Naturally tonight I used the green and black the most, but I will show you more of these vibrant colors again soon. Tonight I am showing a mixture of freebies and dollarbies, with the freebies being prizes from lucky boards and the dollarbies being hunt prizes from the WDYSH or What Do You Sell Hunt. Their blog has links and prize previews, helpful if you prefer to pick and choose like I do :) Time to take a look at tonight's magpie treasures...
First up, we have a beautiful dress from @AdReNaLiZeD@, this is prize #3 in the What Do You Sell Hunt and available for a single little linden. All you have to do is follow the hint and find a red question mark. I love the design and the contrast of this gown, it looks great coming and going.
Another fun dress from the WDYSH hunt is this eye-catching dress from Time Works. For a measly $1L and the tiny effort of finding the hunt prize (that bright red question mark I mentioned before), you get this lovely doll dress in several mesh sizes, plus the bow on the top is a separate attachment which makes it optional. I happen to like bows so I'll usually choose to wear it with, and how fun are the ruffles at the top of each detached sleeve?
What a cute dress, and that yummy cupcake pattern really adds a sweet touch (pun intended) just as the soft collar does. This is a lucky board prize by Hapi*Rabi, their Aimee dress, at a little paradise of lucky boards with 2 walls covered with chances to win men's or women's clothing and accessories, decor, toys and gadgets, and lots more!
I love the new home of the Kiyomizu Mall, quite as much as I'd loved its original location since the majority of the designers from the old place transitioned to the new, and there are the usual plethora of lucky boards there for us to enjoy. These nails are from *pulcino* and are a Slink Applier named Beast, and if your letter comes up you will win a HUD with 10 design choices, a lovely neutral background with a thin stripe of color down the center. Hiya everyone! I found out about a store hunt later than I would have liked, because it ends on October 4th so I'm only giving you a few days notice, but it's SO worth it! Beloved Jewelry has remodeled their store, so they decided to celebrate by hiding 10 rubies around the store containing free gifts. If you walk around the store and look, you can see them all without having to cam behind or under the displays or into walls, hehe, it's not a terribly tricky hunt and since it's one store rather than a gridwide hunt, I have confidence that you can do it :) It only took me a few minutes of admiring the store and their lovely jewelry before I'd found all 10 rubies. Their style is elegant and relatively simple overall, and I feel that makes them very versatile. Let's have a look at those prizes, shall we?
First we have prizes #1 and #2, which are their Silver Choker with Lilac Stones and matching Silver Earrings with Lilac Stones. The choker comes in a version with a resize script built in if you need it, I am wearing without and it just needed a slight height adjustment for me. You can see in the earrings closeup that the lilac stones are a very pale shade, so these can match almost any pink or purple in your wardrobe along with most other colors.
Find the rubies labeled #3 and #4 and you will be the proud new owner of this stunning set, the Gold Choker with Green Stones and matching earrings. This choker as with the others does have a resize version as well as one without, and the yellow gold tone complements the light green stones very well.
If you enjoy a nice crescent moon design as I do, you will definitely want to find these prizes, #5 and #6. The Gold Necklace and matching Gold Earrings are beautifully crafted, and the little details make things special. This necklace also comes with a resize version.
As you can see, there are even matching bracelets and rings to be found for that last set, so you can add more sparkle! The bracelets are prize #7 and come in left and right versions, and the ring is #8 which is for the right hand and has a resize version along with one without. This ring only needed the slightest tweak to sit just right on my mesh hand, so that was a relief.
This set strikes me as very feminine with the pale pink pearls, yet with a dash of nontraditional as the setting is unique and very appealing. This lovely Pink Bead Necklace is #9, the matching Pink Bead Earrings can be found in prize #10. The necklace has a resize version as well. I do love the colors chosen for these prizes, and can easily see them all becoming staples in my SL wardrobe.
Nail note of the night: at the new home of the Kiyomizu Mall, you will find that *pulcino* has 2 lucky boards in their store there, and one of them has a set of Slink nails called Beast, which you can see in only one of my photos above really but I do intend to show again soon :) The other lucky board has a gorgeous dress that I also will be sharing soon. For now, you got a tiny glimpse of a golden nail with a slender red streak down the middle, and darker gold like a shadow on each side. There are other colors for the center stripe, as you will see. No group needed at their Kiyomizu Mall location's boards either, which is a plus. My dress, which can barely be seen but deserves another mention, is an enMESHed Into Fall prize that I blogged yesterday, the lovely Antoinelle dress from [Marquesse].
