Helping Haven Gateway

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Helping Haven Gateway, which is a wonderful resource for anyone who is getting started or restarted in SL as well as just a pleasant place to visit :) I occasionally see people in various group chats who've been away from SL for a few years and came back to a whole new world, no idea about mesh bodies or BOM or now PBR, and HHG has all sorts of helpful info along with the free gifts I'll be showing you tonight. The ladies' gift building has 4 floors full of goodies, no group required, and there is a men's building and a home decor area as well, so anyone can find things they need here. Some of the clothing is for classic avatars (standard mesh sizes) but others include sizes for mesh bodies too. I went up to the 3rd floor, which we would call the 4th floor in my neck of the woods, so up 3 flights of stairs to pick up all the goodies you're about to see. I offer my deepest gratitude as always for those designers who offer free gifts to help make SL a more affordable and happy place to be.

My first look is the striking -siss boom-fy nyth black dress, one of several gifts they're offering here. This long sleeved denim dress is embroidered on the upper bodice and both sleeves, with even some trim at the short hemline. We receive sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies, all entirely for free.

Another of their gifts that I just *had* to show you is the -siss boom-salem denim gown, and yes I am rather addicted to denim ;) It has a corset style bodice that is laced in the back, with full skirt that looks fantastic when we're walking too. There is a standard fitted size for classic avatars, as well as sizing for Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP bodies. Included but not shown is a golden flexi skirt that gives even more fullness and movement, and matches the gold overlay you see on this mesh skirt.

On the same wall as those gifts, you can find several from Emerald Couture, all of which you will need to right click and pay $1L but it'll be refunded automatically while the gift is delivered to you. This keeps a record so you can have it redelivered in the future if you ever need to :) The EC Chanda Outfit Peach is a mini dress with bold print, plus well coordinated shoes because footwear can really help elevate any look. The dress comes in standard mesh sizes along with Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. Then our shoes fit Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet.

Another generous gift of theirs is this gorgeous EC Abigail Dress Blue. It's a soft powdery pastel shade that I adore, and the way the ruffled sleeves drape across the upper arms is just delightful. The dress fits Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with a bonus of matching shoes in sizing for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink feet. So pretty, and I really like the subtle floral pattern on our dress.

My final look of the evening is our EC Chaina Dress Black v2 which is another treat from Emerald Couture. The gold design on the fabric reminds me of when you blow out a birthday candle and the smoke billows up in tiny plumes, but a bit more defined so perhaps more like fireworks? Siss Boom Lucky Boards

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to see what new lucky board gifts await at Siss Boom, where there are about 40 different prizes that we can win without any particular group tag necessary. Fortune smiled on me I guess, as I did win several treats that I'm excited to get to share here :) The letters on the boards change quickly, and they also have "?" wild cards where anyone can claim the prize, so it is a great idea to bring a friend or two (hopefully with different initials than you, LOL) and hang out for a little while.

For my first look, I am wearing the charming -sb-powder peach prize. This sundress styled frock has slender straps and a double layered skirt, in white and pale pastel peach. The prize includes fitmesh standard sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body versions.

Next we see the beautiful -sb-sorbet blue dress, with a strapless sweetheart neckline and tight bodice leading to a full asymmetrical hemline. The top is embroidered with rose lace on the cups and smaller floral lace on the midriff, for a really feminine look. The style starts with a bra top that is connected to a tiered, lace-edged skirt with bold floral pattern. The lower layer especially has fun micro pleats to give the skirt extra movement. 

Another great addition to any spring wardrobe is the -siss boom-details turquoise dress. It comes in two versions, the original on the left above and the rose texture on the right, each in sizing for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. The rose right shoulder with resize script is also included, and since it is a separate accessory you can decide to wear it or leave it off. I really like the lacy skirt and the loose bows tied above the bell sleeves!

My final look of the evening is the -siss boom-at home red prize, a charming off-shoulder dress with an intricate sketched artwork pattern. Mondays are not usually a favorite day of the week for most of us, and mine was productive but not necessarily fun. The ultrasound went really well and it was a very quick appointment even compared to the x-ray last week. I had loose comfortable clothing on and didn't need to change into a gown or anything, which saved on time, and the technician was both friendly and efficient. That is a winning combo in a situation like that, where you just want to get in and out while being treated kindly. I am still having trouble staying asleep like I did the past few days, so it would be nice if that could clear up very soon. More Siss Boom Sweets

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are still feeling lucky at Siss Boom, with about 50 lucky boards to win prizes from without any group tag needed. I always have a good time visiting and browsing, plus who can resist the thrill of winning free fashions?

Tonight I still had some more terrific lucky board prizes from Siss Boom to share, and even won a couple more before I took the photos for extra choices :) As a reminder from last night's post, these lucky boards are free for public use so do not need any particular group tag to click them, and they change pretty quickly so visiting for a little while can be very fruitful.  Hiya everyone! Tonight we are going to try our luck at Siss Boom, where you will find a couple dozen lucky boards that are completely free to use with no group tag necessary. I have been a fan of this brand for years, particularly impressed by their artistic textures, so I am very grateful for the opportunity to claim some of their creations for free. Every time I visit I am inspired to browse and yes, occasionally indulge in some shopping :) I won several prizes this morning and a handful last week too, and I suggest you bring a friend so they too can win some treats and keep you company while you hang out.

I am still smiling from a very enjoyable weekend, thanks to a special friendsgiving type dinner on Saturday after a chilly but fun visit to the farmers market that morning. It really means a lot to me to spend time with people I care about so much, and finally seeing people again after nearly 2 years has been amazingly uplifting. 4 Seasons Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I invite you to celebrate the 4 Seasons Event and their first anniversary with me. As many events do, they are decorated for the occasion, and have their usual exclusives indicated with a sticker that has a "1" candle on it. There are also gift dispensers at many displays with a similar sticker, although a few were in gift boxes instead. You will need the free 4 Seasons group tag to claim them, so be sure to join when you land. There are many generous designers with all sorts of wonderful creations, and although I focus on female fashions here I do think there is a little something for everyone to appreciate. 

My first look is a fun gift from Meander called M/M Lamour Sarong. This tropical treat comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, with a HUD offering 4 vibrant textures. It is named after Dorothy Lamour, whose picture appears on the HUD with a relevant quote. I certainly feel like wearing this to a tropical region and having a fruity drink!

I do have a fondness for denim, so this gift from ..::RR::..  called Jeans Dress Blue makes me very happy. This gift includes fitmesh standard sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The strapless mini is trimmed in black with a neat woven texture in various shades of denim blue. 

Next we see the -siss boom- hey sailor! gift, which is a three piece outfit with a playful spirit. The strapless top is mesh and comes in sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The capri jeans are a system/BOM layer, and the matching sailor cap is adjustable which is very handy. Did you notice the bow in the front of the waistband on the top? I do enjoy details like that. 

Those capris came in handy for me to keep wearing while showing you a different shirt, this time the .{SA}. Kisses Red Cropped T-Shirt gift from Starlight Apparel. This flirty tee is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes, with a heart saying XOXO embossed on the front. I am a year-round fan of hugs and kisses, so despite this almost appearing to be Valentine themed, I will gladly year it any time of year. 

For my final look of the evening, I decided to get ready for bed with the SLC Lace Lingerie Get Attention Appliers which is our gift from Serina Lacava. The lacy bra and panties are a delicate shade of pale blue, and come in system/BOM layers along with Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink appliers. I was already set for Bakes on Mesh so I chose one of the system layers for each, to great effect. The lace is sheer enough on the bra cups that my hand placement was necessary, otherwise my 'modesty flowers' would have been used in photoshop ;) 

Today was a slightly better day than yesterday, although my emotions are all over the place so I have to very intentionally try to remain calm and positive. Good Fortune at Siss Boom

Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit -siss boom- and see if we can get lucky! They have about 2 dozen lucky boards that do not require a group tag, so you can claim some really generous high-quality gifts. Be sure to look around and pick up some demos so you can do some shopping too, as a thank you to the designer for sharing her hard work :) Among the lucky board prizes are dresses and tops, as you will see, mostly mesh but a few system/Omega shirts that I trust you will enjoy as much as I do. The texturing is always well done, so I do appreciate that.

First we see the beautiful -sb- remedy wild, a strapless denim dress with floral patterned panel. The prize includes fitmesh standard sizes plus versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. 

I was also fortunate enough to win the -sb- dress up lilac prize, a charming look with a couple of bonuses. The dress itself comes in fitmesh standard sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. There is also a flexi skirt of sheer black lace you can layer over it (seen on the left) and that has a built in resize script to adjust it for your personal shape. The other bonus is a pair of nylons, provided as system/BOM layers and an Omega applier, with sexy seams up the back of the legs. So many fantastic details!

Another lucky board prize you will definitely want to win is the -sb- kitten chanel, a fun outfit in burnished gold and sage green. The top and skirt each come in standard fitmesh sizes, plus mesh body versions for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, and let's not forget the furry collar which is resizeable. The set can be worn with or without the collar, so let your imagination be your guide.

I shimmied into my favorite Delizio jeans for this look and the next, so I could share a couple of the fun tops that are among the lucky board prizes. Then I added the -sb- velour navy, a long sleeved top with golden trim at both shoulders and across the front. It comes in standard fitmesh sizing along with versions for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink bodies.

For my final look this evening, I am enjoying the -sb- lamb teal prize, a lush knit top with laced neckline and bare shoulders. Luck and Midnight at Siss Boom

Hiya everyone! Tonight I was feeling lucky, so I am sharing some lucky board prizes with you from -siss boom-. They have 13 lucky boards that do not require a group tag, and the letters change every 5 minutes, so there are plenty of chances to win some terrific treats. I showed you a couple of them while wearing gifts from the Hair Fair a couple weeks ago, but with so many boards that each feature a different prize I had plenty more to share. First we see the -siss boom- twilight gown, a satin halter style with black metal neck and belt. The lace trim is a beautiful touch as well, and the bare back adds intrigue. This prize includes sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and even a standard fitted version.

This beauty is the -siss boom- shanghai lil lilac, and even though it has the appearance of multiple pieces, they are all attached into a single mesh piece. It is easy to wear in your choice of Hourglass, Physique, or Maitreya sizing. I love all the details, like how the cuffs are delicately tied to each wrist and the upper back has a zigzag of sheer material.

-siss boom- chalk black has delightful touches of lace over an elegant plaid pattern, with sweetheart neckline and short sleeves. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes as well as Bell za, Maitreya, and Slink versions, so there is bound to be a size to fit you too.

Do you need a quirky top for an end of summer adventure? Then be sure to hang around until your initial comes up on the lucky board for -siss boom- jean crop velvet. The vibrant colors make me think of fall, but the short breezy style suits the warm weather we are still having. It is provided in a Maitreya size, and with a HUD that lets you choose between the two colors shown above. With all that sparkle, you don't even need to add jewelry if you wish, just pick your favorite shoes and head out on the town. To ensure this gets enough clicks to reach the goal, invite your friends and anyone else you can to slap that board too.

I have to compliment Slink customer service, as I mentioned last night that my updated but not Redux (Bakes on Mesh ready) hands were moving even when my AO was off and the bento pose I use to take pics of my nails did not freeze the fingers. I sent Slink resident a notecard asking about it, and got a prompt and friendly reply explaining that the new hands have a built in animation. As per the notecard included (that I somehow didn't read clearly enough, doh!) it can be turned off an on with a command on channel 15, as in /15 idle ON or /15 idle OFF. It was a lifesaver! I thanked her profusely, and she was very kind about my having overlooked that in the notecard included with the product. It was done so that the fingers do not have to stay frozen in a single position if someone doesn't have a bento AO that will move them, for a subtle natural movement, which is a terrific idea :) It just so happened to work against me in this particular situation, so I turned it off successfully. Future nail photos are saved from wiggly fingers!

Not much else to say about today, other than it was sprung on me that the bad houseguest (I only ever have 2, most of the time it is the good one but every now and then it's the one who dislikes me and acts intensely awkward) is coming this weekend. Surprise? Bleh. It won't affect my blogging schedule since I will be hiding in here anyway, LOL, but my mood may not be very sunny.
