Fabulous Freebies

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I was feeling the urge to visit some FabFree in SL participating stores, because there are always wonderful new group gifts being added all the time. The group (inworld representation of their amazing blog) is free to join, so these won't cost a thing :) The FabFree group has a permanent place among my group slots, and I am so grateful for how they have guided me all through my SL experience which will be 19 years in a few days. (Wow!) You never know what treasures you can find on their blog, so I do recommend it for everyone who enjoys saving money in SL.

Our first visit is to FTCOR, where the :::FurtaCor::: Andy Set waits for any FabFree member. The tube top and laced pants are each provided in sizing for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn bodies, and there is also a HUD that offers 15 colors apiece for the top, top laces, pants, and pants laces. I love the ability to mix and match, and the flashes of skin make this a flirtatious treat indeed.

I feel so adorable in our gift from :.C!L.: Boutique called Nephele Dotty White Sweater Shorts & Bow Set :) The polka dotted sweater falls just above the belly button, and is a loose cozy fit that is suitable for most times of the year. Paired with the pleated and cuffed shorts, we've got an elegant yet playful outfit that does make me think of autumn evenings. Each of these will fit Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, and Reborn mesh bodies. Of course the sunny yellow bow I'm wearing here on my head is included too, and you can even adjust it by clicking it to access the resize script.

Another fun way to turn heads is by wearing the Violet Skies - Anja Dress Blue Gift like I am here. Shiny tiger striped blue fabric is already a fantastic start, but then we add the draped chain belt and get va-va-va-VOOM! The style of the dress is essential too, and this one has a bare back and sexy cutouts, so we get to show off cleavage. There are sizes for Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Nhumana, Reborn, and Waifu sizes included in this great gift.

The "VOOH" FABFREE GROUP GIFT #20 DRESS is my next look, a stunning minidress with spaghetti straps and a deep neckline. The gift includes sizing for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, Lara X, Reborn, and Juicy mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 40 texture options, some solids and plenty of intriguing patterns in loads of fun colors. 

My final look of the evening is our .:FlowerDreams:. Nadia dress. This is a great choice for a hot date, or to attract a hot date ;) It is provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite Sizes, with panties in the same set of sizing. There's also a HUD of course, and that has 14 options for the dress and 8 colors for the lace panties. I must admit that the shiny metallic ones caught my eye first, but this dress looks good in any texture.

It was a busy day and a good evening so far, starting with a support group session that I found quite useful. It's nice to talk to people who can understand the battles against anxiety and how it affects so many aspects of life. We can feel safe to laugh, cry, and share things we can't always with friends or family. The weather is still pretty hot here, as a matter of fact it's 75.5 in my office right now which is not ideal. FabFree Gets Spooky

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I realized that with all the hubbub of various Halloween events, I hadn't yet shared the seasonal treats being offered to FabFree group members. So of course I had to remedy that, as I love any reason to share goodies for the FabFree in SL group or from their incredible blog :) They've been a huge part of my second life since I arrived on the grid, and as an enthusiastic fan of theirs I have been noticing gifts added to their ever-growing group gift list that are just right for Halloween. If you need a costume this weekend or on the holiday itself, be sure to take a peek and see if perhaps the look of your dreams is waiting for you for free! The FabFree group is free to join as always, and has a permanent place among my group slots even back when they were limited to a much lower number than we enjoy these days.

My first look of the evening is more for giggles than gasps of terror ;) It is our SPOTLIGHT - FABFREE 'BOO-BEES' gift, and well there are indeed two bees on the front with ghost costumes for the BOO part. Where else would they land but on our chest? The dress has a layered look with yellow trim to match the bees' stripes, and a slit on each side to make things a little flirty. The gift includes sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Prima, Prima Petite, Reborn, and Reborn Waifu mesh bodies. 

Taylor Designs clearly had Halloween in mind when designing our Agatha Overalls Oct gift, from the bright orange color to the dancing jack o'lantern on the left hip. This one piece outfit comes in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Peach, Reborn, and Reborn Waifu mesh body sizes. The halter neck leads around to a deep plunging back, just right for showing off a new tattoo and especially if you've picked up a seasonal themed one recently :) 

I also noticed that V8 Underground recently changed their group gifts over to costumes or Halloween themed treats, like this FabFree gift called **MISS KRUEGER V2 TERROR STYLE THEME COSTUME COMPLET OUTFIT**. Freddy could be short for Fredericka or Frieda, right? As always their outfits are full of great details and accessories, but we start with the cropped sweater and micro mini shorts each in standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. The boots are unrigged so we can adjust them, or just wear the included alpha layer to hide your feet if you prefer. Then we have the hat and a blonde hairstyle (not shown) that is blood splattered, and a claw glove in 2 versions for the right hand. The stockings and scratches tattoos come in system/BOM layers and an Omega applier, just like the makeup which I'm not wearing here because it is for Catwa and not Evo X. The image included with the gift will let you see what it looks like though :) I have always been very timid about horror movies, yet even as a teenager I was drawn to the Nightmare on Elm Street series. 

Pink may not be a traditional Halloween color, but I'm all for making it a new tradition :) This is the SLW Design - Fab-Boo-Lous Hoodie gift, clearly designed just for us, and it goes without saying that we're all fabulous but I also love the idea of being fab-BOO-lous this month! The image on the front reads just that, with a witch on the left of the Fab part (I thought it was a 4 at first LOL) and spiderwebs on the Lous at the bottom. The hoodie itself has shapely seams in the front and a double row of matching stripes down each arm in pale blue, just right to go with the sleeve cuffs. There are two versions included, with or without the Fab-Boo-Lous wording on the front, and each will fit Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. It is just long enough to be a very short dress as I've worn it here, or a long tunic top that you can add your favorite pants beneath if you wish.

My final look of the evening keeps the SLW Design hoodie but adds a fantastic accessory - the "VOOH" FABFREE GROUP GIFT #4 MIX & MATCH COFFIN BAG. This stunning handbag comes in 8 different versions, each with a different hold pose (some left hand, some right, and one in both at once which is the one I'm using on the left above) and a very handy HUD to customize the look. There are 40 textures and 30 metals each for the full bag, bag part 1, or bag part 2 (the sides seem to be part 1 and the front is 2) so we can change things up quite a bit! I really leaned into the purple to go with the pink clothing, but there are patterns and solids of black, red, orange, and all sorts of possibilities for year round. I really couldn't resist the style!

Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am, well except for making up a shopping list for the morning for the housemate to go to the farmers market. I think the weather will be decent enough, cool (low 60s) but clear, and it is the last market for one of the vendors so I've preordered some frozen goodies to enjoy, at least until he gets set up in a new venture if that works out. Dinner with my parents was productive as I got them thinking about Thanksgiving plans. My mom texted my cousins/her nephews to see if they are able to be there, so now we wait for their decisions. They are understanding that I don't think I can make it, and there's chaos about the physical therapist wanting my grandmother's bed moved from the dining room (where it's been for a few years now) to the living room to make room for more equipment, meaning my parents will have to figure out what table to use and where. There's also a huge ancient sofa (from the 50s or 60s) in the way that will probably get chopped up and discarded because it's in bad shape, more things to do by then. More Fallen Leaves and Frost

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we continue the FabFree Fallen Leaves and Frost Hunt, with prizes for $5L or less that are hidden in neon rainbows at each participating store. Many stores have multiple prizes out, so be sure to check the FabFree website for the hunt keys and hints for each. There are so many awesome designers who are part of the FabFree family, and I appreciate the opportunity to visit and claim impressive bargains for just a few lindens apiece! Some of these stores are ones I have visited before many times, and a few are relatively new to me so it's like making new friends :) We are straddling the weather change between autumn and winter here as in many parts of the RL world, so these gifts generally feel like they are based on that seasonal transition as a theme.

This t-shirt is certainly telling my truth, as I have been known to indulge in all sorts of treats with pumpkin spice flavor or scent in RL ♥. It is the $5L prize from The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. and is appropriately named SPICE GIRL Tee. There are standard mesh sizes included as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. The wording is "If I was a Spice Girl I'd be Pumpkin Spice", decorated with seasonal leaves and of course pumpkins. I have a traditional fondness for pumpkin pie with those warm rich spices, how about you?

Ruxy is another store I am always excited to visit, and they have 2 free prizes hiding in their rainbows for us. This striking look is the Ruxy-FabFree Cleopatra plum dress, in lush velvet with contrasting insets on both sides. It fits Legacy and Maitreya bodies, and the texture makes me think of staying cozy in chilly weather. The short hem definitely shows every inch of leg though, for a sexy touch!

Our other prize found here is the Ruxy-FabFree Sigrith green dress, with a strapless sweetheart neckline and bubble skirt. It is provided in sizes for eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a HUD to select from 6 gem colors and 4 metals for the bodice decorations. If you look closely, you'll notice the gems are teardrop shaped and the metallic studs are flowers, very clever details :)

I paired two of the 4 dollarbie prizes from VOOH here, although they genuinely all work well together :) The top is our " VOOH " FABFREE HUNT SHIRT prize, and the overalls are called FABFREE HUNT OVERALLS. These versatile separates each include standard S, M, and L sizes, along with sizes for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Each includes a HUD too, 14 textures (7 solids and 7 matching patterns) that on the shirt HUD can apply to the full shirt, main shirt, or sleeves by selecting that button before clicking your texture. The overalls have sections too, either the full overalls or the shorts, waist, suspenders, metals upper, and metals lower. As you can see I enjoy mixing the textures and solids just for fun, but let your tastes and imagination be your guide. 

My final look this evening is the free prize from Glitterati that is simply called FabFree Hunt - Fallen Leaves and Frost - Nov22. There are standard mesh sizes and versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies each for the top and shorts. The bare arms and extra short shorts make me think that this is a great choice for a warm weather vacation (or heading down under!) during the fallen leaves and frosty seasons :) They are an elegant style, especially the buttons and tiny zipper on the shorts, and the way the leaves on the top's pattern match the color of the shorts just right.

So right now it's been about 5 hours since my booster, and since I'm here blogging that should tell you that I'm doing okay :) Instead of going to the government facility nearby, I went with the pharmacy inside a supermarket that I get medication from usually. My arm is sore but not quite as bad as prior pokes, and I am tired but that's probably because I didn't sleep well. I'm not telling anyone what to do, just sharing my experience as a middle aged lady with health issues who wants to safely spend time this holiday season with my family. As long as I am still feeling up to it, I'm going to my parents for dinner tomorrow as usual on Fridays, then the farmers market on Saturday morning, so my mood is positive even with an achy arm.
