Hunting with Harambee-Gwassi

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is a bit of a variety, since I started with one hunt and hopped to another by the same folks :) That would be the Harambee-Gwassi charity store, who organize fantastic events and hunts for us to enjoy just about every single month. The first 2 prizes I found were from the July hunt, the Ice Cream Cone Hunt, then the rest are from August's Save The Sea Hunt. I completely understand that not everyone is ready for the new rounds each time the month changes, and am simply mentioning so you know what hunt objects you are looking for :) Also that helps you to know which hints to follow, and if the prize I share is no longer available by the time you read this, you can always check for the newer hunt prizes at that location instead. Each round has 2 hunt items available, for $3L and $10L apiece, so the websites are quite handy to have open to tell you which you seek. Also, you can get a notecard with links, pics, and hints by clicking the hunt sign at participating stores.

My first look is an Ice Cream Hunt prize found in a $3L triple scoop ice cream cone, the Violet Skies - Xanthe Outfit Lime. You'll need to unpack this the traditional way (rez on ground and right click to unpack) because of a no-copy BOM shirt inside, which is a cropped fishnet top you see above as the base layer. The mesh components are the bodysuit and skirt which are designed for Lara X, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Nhumana, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. The outfit looks just as nice without the fishnet layer as it does with it, so let your personal tastes guide you there :) 

The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. is also running a little behind this month, which means we still have the chance to grab their $10L YOU'RE HOT Tee prize from the Ice Cream Hunt. We just have to find the pretty little cupcake, as this hunt was all about the sugar rush :) The cozy charcoal tank top says "Wow You're Hot" in bold 3D block lettering, and comes in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody Classic, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions. Time to switch over to the Save the Sea Hunt, for which you can find the ILL Hazar outfit in a $3L oyster shell with pearl inside. This edgy top and skirt set includes sizing for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I love the plaid on the skirt, looks fantastic with the black leather corset-laced waist and cropped top with open sides! It's going to be right at home in any Goth, alternative, or punk avatar's inventories.

Now I'm curious about the existence of eco-friendly pirates, thanks to the @rOrO Harlow Dress Pirate Print which is a $10L prize from Save The Sea inside a cute blue octopus hunt object. The bare shoulder style is a flirty favorite of mine, and the ruffle around the top and upper arms has such a fun pattern of sailing ships just like a pirate would have or commandeer. There are sizes for Erika, Lara X, Legacy, Pushup, Reborn, and Star mesh bodies included. I did notice an ice cream cone there too, so keep on searching if you'd like something else sweet.

My final look of the night is our $3L prize for Save the Sea (seashell with pearl) from GoodVibes called Moana. Isn't she lovely? I'm certainly feeling nautical and a bit naughty in the open weave dress covered with multicolored shells, while appreciating the two most carefully placed ones that cover the upper essentials ;) We also receive a string bikini bottom for added modesty, so where's your favorite adult beach to wear this to? We receive Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh body sizes of both pieces. 

It was a fun evening of gaming with friends online, and I am pleasantly surprised that my new glasses are ready to be picked up much sooner than expected :) It was supposed to be 2 weeks but I got the text today, and will be headed there before my parents' for dinner tomorrow. I wonder if they felt sorry for me, LOL, or just want to make sure I don't have any more reason to complain ;) Honestly I was very polite about everything and didn't blame anyone but my own brain for feeling too dizzy with the extra strong prescription. I'm eager to get things moving so I can prepare more for the cataract surgeries themselves, as much as I dread them, since it will drastically improve my vision. Magical Winter Fair Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting the Magical Winter Fair & Hunt, which is a wonderful place to get some new clothing, accessories, or home decor for this season. The best par of shopping here is that a portion of the proceeds from many of the items go to charity, to help fund schools in Kenya. Education is vital for everyone no matter where, from simple things like reading and writing to more complex skills that help with 'adulting' :) In addition to the hunt items for $3L each, some of the designers are offering free gifts with no group tag necessary to reward us for stopping by. Those are what we'll be taking a look at here, and I am very grateful to everyone who takes part in these events. Please be sure to stop by before the 15th, which is this round's ending date.

Another thoughtful gift is our ILL No abandonment of pets top, which is actually a duo of single shoulder shirts. I love the way the top is cinched on both sides, so it draws attention to the bust and shows off our midriff :) This shirt is meaningful to me because of my family's history of taking in abandoned or unwanted birds...we did it once when I was a kid with a parakeet (budgie) my best friend's mom got tired of, and I did it again as an adult with another budgie whose humans were having another baby and had been neglecting their bird. Currently my parents have 2 cockatiels that were unwanted at 2 homes in a row, so they've enjoyed a forever home with my parents for about 15 years ♥. It's got a wonderful sheen to the fabric, reminding me of both cherry and apple coloring (fruit on my mind?) and fun cutouts on each side and a keyhole opening at the back of the high neck. This is a one-piece layered look with ruffled skirt and turtleneck beneath that looks to have images of Krampus on it. I'm happy to be back from my day off, which was for a podiatrist visit to make sure my toenails are all healthy and behaving ;) It went smoothly really, which is quite a relief, and I'll be back for another trim in March. Meanwhile I've got a few interesting things to explore in SL this week, and some gaming time tomorrow after dinner that will lift my spirits. Oh speaking of good news, my dad had his cardioversion again for the A-fib and this time it was successful, so the CPAP has been helping his sleep apnea enough to make that possible :) I hope you're all having a pleasant day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Save The Sea Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we're going hunting to Save The Sea, with the hunt of that name in its 6th round :) The search is on for pink open shell oysters with a pearl in the middle, with each containing a $3L prize for us. The website helps with hints and locations, so please have that handy when you are looking for your new treats. It is organized by the Harambee-Gwassi charity store that helps support schooling in Kenya, so it is for a good cause there as well as bringing awareness to the need to protect our oceans.

My first look comes from the ILL or I Love Lida store, and is their sexy ILL Siri outfit. The top and shorts are linked together and worn at the same time, in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. The cropped top is an extra flirty detail that bares the midriff and more ;) I would like to note that the store seems to have moved recently, as I used the link from the website and landed in someone's private yard so I had to skedaddle before the security orb left a footprint on my booty. A quick dash home, a little searching, and I've got our new location in my credits below :) Just in case the website isn't updated when you read this, I felt it worth mentioning. 

Boy oh boy, am I in need of this hunt prize! The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co. HEALING WATERS Tee has a lovely little mermaid floating above the words "Healing Waters", and I am one of those people who always felt comfortable and at home in the ocean. Maybe there's a dash of merperson in my DNA, or I just love swimming and wearing this cozy knit tank top ♥. GD for Harambee has a simply gorgeous prize for us, their Dots ruffle bikini (pastel). It includes the top and two pant styles (high waisted and ruffled) each in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. I can't decide which bottom I prefer, but made sure to give you a glimpse of both so you can see why it's so hard to choose :) The bare shouldered styling with ruffled sleeves make the top irresistible as well.

Another fine look for underwater pursuits is our ~*SD*~ 777FHF [STS6] prize from Starshine Design. This one-piece suit has a beautiful image of a seahorse on the front, surrounded by coral and with sunbeams shining through the rippling waters above. We receive 5 standard sizes and 5 fitmesh sizes for classic avatars, plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizing. One piece suits are generally considered modest, but the high cut legs make this one a tiny bit cheeky which I am enjoying ;)

For my final look of the evening, I hopped over to GoodVibes to claim their Tiny Bubbles Purple prize. It looks great from every angle, and the bubbles in different sizes and hues almost take on a blue color in some lighting which also makes me think 'sea' :) The outfit consists of the romper and belt in Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, Waifu, and Star mesh body sizes, along with tiptoe sneakers for Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, and Star feet. What a fun choice for this time of year!

I fought my anxiety by going to a Five Below store, and it was extremely challenging. Not crowded, but we went much later than I wanted and that meant rushing and getting back late. They didn't have most of what I was looking for that they had the last time I was there, so that adds to the disappointment factor. Love My Planet Fair

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got some treats to share from the Love My Planet Fair/Hunt 5, which is a wonderful celebration that also raises money for schools in Kenya. I've always appreciated that the SL community is very willing to support charities in general, and this one (Harambee-Gwassi) is very helpful for kids who need help getting a start in life with education. This event has several free gifts as well as a $3L hunt, and many items for sale are set up to donate a percentage to the charity fund. If you're going to be spending lindens anyway, why not do it in a way that also helps people? :) The fair is open until the 10th of March, so about a week and a half remain to stop by and shop/donate.

My first look is the EC I Love You Dress v2 gift you'll find for free at the Emerald Couture display. The bare shouldered, extra short dress comes in sizing for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. I'm also head over heels for the sheer ruffles on the sleeves and hemline, with a romantic golden print over the deep crimson background color.

I'm always fascinated by how some SL clothing really sends my imagination soaring!

I must admit, I am feeling some level of emotional overload tonight...it's not any one single thing either, just a general feeling of burnout from things I should do, things I can't do, things other people are doing...and for anyone else out there feeling stressed out, I can only say I am sorry and I commiserate. I'm staying home tomorrow because my stomach is not really enjoying the stress, so no triumphant return to the farmers market this week :( Otherwise I have no concrete plans other than SL exploring with Xan. Black Friday with Redeux

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've got another Black Friday sales event to tell you about, this time from Redeux :) They've got lots of discounted offers from hot designers, with group gifts for the free-to-join Redeux VIP group at just about every display. I remembered going last year and was eager for them to notify us about this year's opening, and we have until the 3rd of December to stop by so this is a quickie of an offer.

My first look of the evening is our Fatal Fashion - Outfit 377 - LILAC gift. I hope everyone who celebrated had a nice Thanksgiving :) My mini version with just my parents was nice, and we're getting ready for the main event tomorrow with my cousins and a dear family friend who is here now for the weekend. I've got a busy weekend ahead because of it, but mostly should be very enjoyable so I am not complaining in the least. It is a bit odd having two versions of the same holiday two days apart, and I will still be missing the people who can't be there along with it being the first big holiday without my grandma. Life gets intense sometimes, but I am thankful for the people in my life who are supportive and helpful in these times.
