Happy Uber-versary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Uber Event for more wonderful gifts, as they are celebrating their 9th anniversary this round. The gifts are free with no group required, and most are at the event itself in gift boxes that have black and gold balloons tied to them. It makes them more visible and festive :) Other gifts (some of which I'll be sharing tomorrow) are at the designers' main stores, with the landmarks provided in the boxes I just described or a sign at the display that tells you to click. It might not be quite as busy now that the weekend is over, but just in case you can find camera sims >here< and >here< if the main one is full when you try to teleport there. From those neighboring regions you just use your camera controls and cam over to the main area, clicking all the gift boxes and grabbing any demos for items you might want to purchase. You can also do that purchasing from those alternate regions if necessary. I always enjoy helping to celebrate events in SL reaching anniversary or birthday milestones!

My first look is our gift from SPIRIT called Pika mini dress. It is crafted from striking stonewashed denim, and one of its straps dangles down beneath the left arm. We receive Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes in the gift, as well as a HUD with 2 metal options for the closures. I really like the distressed edging at the hem, like we've worn this so much that it is softened and extra cozy.

Next I shimmied into the flirty Qip Me Monogram dress, which is our free gift from small. This brand offers their own original mesh creations, so I believe this is also one :) The daring style looks to be modeled after a cheongsam or qipao dress, hence the name, with slashed opening down the side and a plunging back that makes for a view that I call peek-a-booty ;) The gift consists of sizes for Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, along with a HUD to hide or show the breast piece and to choose from 2 metal hues. Fantastic!

There are lots of separates among the generous gifts, like the [CAROL G] Luna Cropped - Black tube top seen here. It is elegant in its simplicity, since you can pair it with just about anything under the sun (or in your inventory) and it will look wonderful :) It fits Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies. I matched it with the gift from .Safira. which is their Dolly Panties in two colors, each in two sizes. The white and rose pairs both fit Legacy and Maitreya bodies, and have the same eye-catching bow on the back that I adore! The slightly sheer texture adds even more sex appeal.

There is something about tube dresses that make me very happy, with my first thought being how easy it is to dress them up or down for lots of occasions. So I was delighted to unpack the Emery Panque Dress Berry gift! The bold stripes of black and wine (okay so that's like berry but boozy LOL) wrap around to snugly show off our curves, and we get sizes for Legacy and Maitreya mesh bodies. Now do I want to wear fancy shoes and jewelry for a more formal look, or flat sandals and simple accessories for a casual stroll around SL?

My final look of the evening is great for the waning days of summer, although our favorite season never has to end in SL...this is the LEROY - Vivi Bikini - White gift, and wow is it a fun treat! The top and panty are each provided in Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. The top's straps wrap around the back very intriguingly, and the slight lopsided nature of the panty gives it character :) Just think - simple white can accommodate all sorts of colorful jewelry, shoes, tattoos, nails, just about anything you want to accessorize with.

Any time someone says "we need to talk, I have news and you aren't going to like it", it is normal for both the heart and mind to start racing, right? The speaker in this case was the housemate, who was informing me last minute (as usual) that the dreaded houseguest (their friend, we don't get along because he is a rude dingleberry) is visiting this weekend for the "biggest sports weekend of the year". And here I thought that was in February...really it's whenever they just want to sound dramatic and impressive. So I will be hiding in this very room for a few days, after a trio of busy days (Wednesday - Friday) where I test my agoraphobia and try to go places/do things. It's certainly not the end of the world, but not great for my health at this point (mental or physical) so I'm just going to try my best to have patience. Still Celebrating With Uber

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we take a look at several more gifts for the UBER Event to celebrate their 8th anniversary. For this round (ending September 22nd) we visit the event first to pick up the landmarks at the displays for each designer who is offering a free gift at their mainstore, then it's off to each location :) Most of the gifts are in Uber giftboxes which are beige with golden yellow ribbons and bows, and most are free to all with no group tag needed. However, one of tonight's gifts requires the Uber group tag to claim (free to join) and another I'm sharing this evening can be claimed with the store's free group. I will note each in my description of the photo, so you will be aware before you visit :)

My first look of the evening is a terrific outfit from Neve called Jubilee. It is one piece with the appearance of two, in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is also a HUD included to select from 4 colors each for the top and skirt, with the ability to hide either. The sweater looks great in those stripes, and the always-solid skirt can coordinate nicely with any of the colors. 

Next I visited TORI TORRICELLI and activated the Uber group tag, so I could claim their Iris Bodycon & Gloves group gift. The attractive bodysuit and matching fingerless gloves will both fit Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. We also receive a HUD with fishnet options for front and back or fully opaque like on the left, plus a glitter toggle button and 4 powers (strengths) of glitter and a frill toggle. I toggled the glitter and the frills both off on the right, and have the front and back fishnet options on :) 

Emery is offering their Alice Bandeaus in two varieties as their gift for the Uber anniversary celebration. The lilac dots (above left) and parrot block (right) are each provided in Legacy and Maitreya sizes, lovely twisted tube tops held in place with a golden chain. I was delighted to pair them with the generous gift from AVEC TOI, consisting of two fatpacks of their Selene Thong. The latex pack's HUD offers 36 colors and 5 metals, while the leather pack has a HUD with 11 colors and 5 metals. Both packs contain sizing for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn sizes, as well as a shininess HUD to let us customize things even further. 

We can also find a thoughtful gift at Valentina E., their Ingrid Dress Violet. This beautiful bare-shouldered dress has a mermaid flare just above the knee and a hint of black lace trim, all accentuated by a wide built-in belt. The gift comes in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. I am a big fan of the retro vibe this style is giving!

My final look of the evening is the gift from Tulssy, which you will need the Tulssy group tag (free to join) to click and claim. It's called Emo Dress Sky & Blue, and is a playfully styled sleeveless dress with corset-like belt and handkerchief hemline on the plaid skirt. There are Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizes included. The "emo" part of the name made me think of a plaid flannel shirt tied around the waist, but this is certainly an updated and dressier version of that style.

My day went fairly well, and I was glad that the bloodwork only needed 1 vial. She used a butterfly needle since my veins aren't always easy to find, and that went very smoothly. Tomorrow I go to the podiatrist and get these stupid ingrown toenails taken care of, temporary torture for several weeks of relief so it's worth it. I saw two adorable deer in the backyard when I got home, tiny fawns, and was surprised to see a buck with them instead of a doe. Usually the deer dads skedaddle and the moms raise the little ones, sometimes in a group with multiple moms. We have white tailed deer here so the ladies do not have antlers but the adult I saw definitely had them. I hope you're all having a wonderful day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Top of the World at Uber

Hiya everyone! Tonight I will be showing off some more gifts from Uber as they celebrate their birthday with gifts from each of their participating designers. No group tag is needed, just visit the event or one of the camera sims (Harajuku and Cam Sim) where you can use your camera controls to see and click all the pretty wrapped presents with gold and black balloons floating above them. There are such a wide range of special sales items and gifts here, so I believe you will find plenty that will brighten your day :) Tonight I mainly focused on shirts and blouses, which you can combine with whatever suits you for a unique look. The event is still in the first few days of the round, which is open until September 22nd, so you have time and can wait until after the weekend if it's still too crowded to get in to any of the sims. Please do not use one of those teleport hammer things though, they really do negatively affect the sims for everyone else trying to enjoy Uber. There are signs on the cam sims asking you not to repeatedly push against the sim border to try to cross into the main one, for the same reason. 

My first look starts with the top from FashionNatic which is simply called Uber Gift. This floral tank top has a deep V neckline that shows off considerable cleavage but covers the essentials ;) It is provided in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizing. I decided to highlight the darker hues in the pattern with the bracelets, a gift from Native Urban called -NU- Handmade Bracelet. Both left and right bracelets are composed from several individual strands, and there is a HUD included with 4 colors each for 3 sections of those strands as well as 3 metal choices each for two metallic sections. My suggestion is to just have fun clicking various color buttons and see what changes, until it looks a way that you like. As for my jeans, they are the white pair from the Delizio jeans fatpack that appear here quite often. They are a free gift on the marketplace, and all colors come in system/BOM layers plus appliers for Omega and Maitreya. You are about to see them a few more times too :)

I was really excited to unpack this gift from .miss chelsea. and read the hilarious message on the front! It is called Brin Tee 2020, and features a brutally accurate 1-star review of this stressful year. The comment reads "Total crap. Would not recommend." beneath the 1 of 5 stars, and I couldn't agree more. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. Ironically, I give this shirt 5 stars and would in fact recommend it.

I tend to be (overly) fond of floral patterns, so this GRIXDALE gift immediately caught my eye. It is their [g]Effie - Studded Crop - Rose Garden, and is styled very similar to a bra but with extra straps above each cup for added support. It comes in Maitreya, Legacy, and Legacy Perky versions, all with those fun pink studs across the top of each cup.

This elegant blouse is the Emery Quincy Top Hot Blue, and it can be yours just by clicking the present in front of their display. It comes in Maitreya and Legacy sizing, with sheer sleeves and beautiful lacing to hold the front together. The bare shoulders are an excellent touch as well.

My final look this evening is a flirty one, thanks to Mossu and their Uber Gift Top - Lilac. It is generously trimmed in scalloped lace, while the cups are lacy too which makes them slightly sheer. It is provided in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizes. It seemed like a pretty way to show off a necklace, so I added the Dangle Layering Necklace w/HUD from MonCheri. This gift comes in an unrigged version as well as rigged sizes for Belleza Freya/Isis, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite bodies. There is also a HUD with 12 metal colors to pick from, so you can match or contrast to just about any outfit. It is such a slender chain, both the loop and the dangling section, yet it definitely draws the eye. 

It was another 2020 type of day here, LOL, as my plans were cancelled due to thunderstorms and I lost power briefly in the early evening. Clearly I need to wear my new 2020 shirt all weekend! More Uber Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more gifts from Uber and their 5th anniversary round to show you. There are so many gifts from almost all the participating designers, and you can cam over to the main sim from their two cam shopping sims (Harajuku and Daze Retreat) if the main sim is still full. I claimed all of these gifts from one of those alternate sims, so I am proof it can be done :) This is a very popular event each month, so I am pleased but not surprised that it lasted 5 years and expect it to continue for many more. All of tonight's clothing selections are tops, so I paired them all with my favorite Delizio jeans that are a marketplace gift in several colors, system layers plus appliers for Maitreya and Omega.

My first look holds a few different gifts, since with so many choices they do combine well :) The top on the left is from [[ Masoom ]] called Flora Top Coral, with adorable ruffles in the front and in sizes for Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya. On the right I am enjoying the RIOT gift called Isla Crop Tee, which has a gathered knot and fun print. It comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Legendary. If you have been eyeing up my charming choker, that is our gift from RAMA called College Bae Bow Choker 'FATPACK'. The choker has a built in resize script when you click it, and there is a HUD included with 20 rope colors and 8 metals. 

If you enjoy the drama of a black and white pattern like I do, be sure to claim this Lele Top Dogtooth from Emery. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, and Physique, and has a unique style. Instead of a necklace, I chose to accessorize this with the gift from *Vanilla Bae* called Babe Bellychain. This treat has the word Babe on the back, and comes in Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya, and Legacy sizes with a HUD offering 7 metal options. 

Uniwaii is offering double the gifts, with two versions of their *UW - Tuen top. On the left is the BlackJean version, RedJean is to the right, and each come in a single Maitreya size. There is a HUD provided with each that lets you choose from 6 colors for the undershirt layered beneath, so there is versatility too. I love the bold belt that is built into each, and the cuffed sleeves for extra pizzazz. 

Another top that offers considerable versatility is this lovely Neve - Flick Top - All Colors. It starts with the tube top in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, and continues with a fantastic HUD that offers 16 texture choices (12 solid, 4 print) as well as the option for lace as the ruffle at the bottom. Yes is how it appears on the left, clicking no gives us a solid and slightly longer ruffle as you can see on the right. Both options have the gathered middle in the front with lacing to hold it together.

One final look of the evening, this is another generous gift with a handy HUD to turn a single shirt into a fabulous fatpack :) It's our gift from Baiastice called Lily Mini Top - All Colors, and includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Legacy. The HUD has 15 choices - 5 solid, 5 patterns, and 5 lace. The patterns are pretty florals, and the lace is revealingly sheer which is why you are seeing it from the back/side rather than head-on ;) I am enjoying the flirty style, which looks great no matter what you choose from that texture HUD.

It has been a long evening already, and I am 'enjoying' the pungent scent of a skunk somehow drifting through my closed windows. Sometimes it gets strong enough to make my eyes water, I'm guessing when more than one little stinker is involved. How can such a beautiful creature make such a terrible smell? Whew! Tomorrow I have an appointment and farmers market to go to so it will be pretty hectic, and then the next few days are my normal type of busy.
