Hiya everyone! Tonight I was in the mood for some new manicures, so I headed to the Accessories tab of the Stay at Home Club website where I found plenty of gifts related to our nails among the wide selection. Of course, I had to find an outfit in Apparel first so I wasn't showing off more than just my fingertips ;) There are plenty of free gifts available with no group tag needed, so I am very grateful to the designers who are making this possible. It has been a long couple of months, and it is refreshing to see them doing things to try to cheer us up and enhance our Second Life experience.
Our first stop is Mishmash Fusion, where I was delighted to claim 2 gifts located outside their main entrance. The dress is called ~*MF*~ Confess Mini - Dark Red, and includes standard mesh sizes as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine body fits. It has spaghetti straps and a black bow to match the ruffle at the very short hem. The other gift is the ~*MF*~ Addicted Heels - Red and Brown, strappy sandals in sizes for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink high feet. These can easily be worn together, and I am guessing you have other wardrobe staples in your inventory that you might like to pair them with as well :) I find that red is generally a flattering color for most skin tones and hair colors.
I found this fun gift on the Accessories page too, the *~*HopScotch*~* Staying at Home - Cuddle Pillow. It has a built in hold pose as shown above, and says "Staying at home is my jam!" which I agree with now and did before this mess too ;) The golden lettering is striking against the black background of the pillow. I had to laugh when I realized that the pillow almost covers my entire dress, I promise I am still wearing it under there!
Now let's take a closer look at one of the nail sets I claimed from among the generous gifts :) These are the Ahroun Designs gift called [AD Originals] Ballerina Silver & Gold Nails, and they are easy to wear- just add the correct size once you hide the nails built into your mesh hands. The gift consists of Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink versions, plus a HUD with 4 pale metallic hues for all the nails at once. For this image (and the one following) I took two separate photos and shared a piece of each, layered together, as you can only wear one color at a time. These are so luxurious!
Another terrific set of nails can be found at {WitchCraft}, their Baby Boomer Bento Ballerina Nails. The long dramatic nails come in sizes for Belleza, Legacy, Maitreya, and Slink hands (just hide the nails built into your hands and then add these) with a 6 color HUD. They are all pretty pastels that fade to white tips, very nice for spring.
My final look this evening is our gift from Xxxstasi called Peachie Empire/Omega, and yes it is an Omega applier for your hand's built in nails. I am wearing these with my Slink hands, I believe Maitreya and Omega nails are different size textures and therefore not compatible so I do suggest making sure that your nails are in fact Omega compatible :) There are 3 gorgeous designs on the applier HUD, and I absolutely cannot pick a favorite. The heavy dose of glitter, the realistic blossoms, or the peachy pink with circular glitter (sequins?) at the base of the nail? ♥ I will definitely be back to shop for more nail art in the near future. This vendor is one of the ones that you will need to pay $1L, but it will be instantly refunded while your gift is being delivered so it is still free.
I have been trying to check the news less often the past few days, since it is probably just contributing to my anxiety. I have people in my life who share links and screenshots of news articles regularly, so I will certainly still be informed. Hiya everyone! It is raining here as I type this, so that inspired the title of my post this evening. Tonight I am pleased to show you some more bargains you can find at The Wash Springtacious Cart Sale, the seasonal event taking place until April 12th where all items are $10L each, with the exception of a special (optional) $50L item per cart. There is a wonderful variety here, as you have seen in my past few posts and will continue to see here. There is also another event with an Easter egg hunt that I wanted to share, it is at Kikai Spring Market and there are a few dozen eggs hidden around the market either near their carts (yep, another cart sale) or in the stores that line the area. These eggs are decorated in a variety of colors and patterns, and often tucked beneath the shelf of the cart or hiding behind the items for sale. It is a great place to wander and explore, to see what you can discover. The hunt runs until the 16 of April, so you have until Easter Sunday to visit and locate all the eggs.
Our first glimpse is two of the cute tied t-shirts at the Mystic Dragon Designs cart at The Wash. The one on the left is named Calla, and on the right is Bohdi, each are just $10L and include standard mesh sizes along with a fitted version, plus Slink Hourglass and Slink Physique sizes. There are other selections on the cart as well, so be sure to use the link in the credits to head directly to their cart. They also have a marketplace store you can visit by clicking here, to see what else they offer. I'm sure you noticed the gorgeous eye shadow I am wearing, that can also be found at The Wash if you visit the Xxxtasi display. I am wearing their Sprung Shadow here, which for just $10L includes 6 colors in system layers and an Omega HUD. I am enjoying a purple shade on the left, a smoky charcoal on the right, and a hot pink hue in the closeup inset. They are offering some casual clothing in addition to makeup, some lovely choices for sure. Their mainstore can be found here, and the cart sale link is in the credits at the end.
Still in the mood for some casual shirts, I suggest heading over to the Tiar cart where you can find a few variations of this attractive side-knotted shirt. On the left I am wearing BBG You Suck, and on the right you see BBG Spoiled Brat, each of which include several mesh sizes: Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP. There is also a HUD to change the background shirt color for each, 3 colors to choose from. I did encounter an error message with the Spoiled Brat HUD but my SL experience is frequently glitchy. Over to the Easter egg hunt at Kikai, let's start with this adorable outfit from Donnique's Designs called Reggie Outfit & Sneaks Heels in Lavender. The tank and leggings are each included in standard mesh sizes, and the sneakers were a perfect fit for my Slink High feet. I love the pretty egg and flower design on the tank top, which is echoed in miniature on each shoe.
Another terrific hunt prize is the Alegant Teal Maxi Skirt with Loose Top, in a richly textured fabric that suits any season. The top and skirt are each in standard mesh sizes, which as you can see worked nicely with my Slink Physique body. Just explore and find those eggs, so you can claim this and many other fun gifts.
One last peek of the night, this is the hunt prize from Charisma Designs and is named Mystique Mini Dress. An extra burst of insomnia led to a challenging day, and I am a bit behind my usual schedule tonight, but am relieved to have finally gotten a bit of rest and am hoping for a much more restful Tuesday. I saw some cruelty earlier in an unexpected place (not SL related) so I wanted to give a gentle reminder to everyone who happens to read this to be kind to others, and patient if someone seems overly sensitive. They may be dealing with problems we cannot even imagine, and a thoughtful approach can make all the difference in the world.
