FabFree Friday

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I've been poking around the FabFree in SL group gift list, trying to find ones that aren't any particular season and may help you find the perfect look for your weekend. I look for the less recent gifts since I figure those are more likely to be swapped out sooner, kind of a last chance reminder :) It's also good to do a post reminding you about these free goodies before the absolute chaos of December arrives, LOL, with events and Advent gifts galore. My upcoming week will be busy too, so this was good timing. As always the FabFree group is free, and the gifts are easy to find if you look for their rainbow striped logo on the sign that is usually above or next to the gift in each participating store. Tonight I'm wearing Lara X for the first two photos, then back to Maitreya 5.3 for the remainder.

For my first look of the evening, I visited Black Angel and headed upstairs to their gift area, happily claiming the DEYA SET for FabFree. This brown leather duo includes the bra and skirt each in sizing for Erika, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu mesh bodies. I was intrigued by the double belts attached to the skirt, so fun!

I shared a @rOrO gift from an event yesterday, so imagine my surprise when I realized I could bring you to their mainstore tonight and show off another generous gift! Their Quinn Dress Pattern Version comes in Erika, Lara X, Legacy, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and includes a HUD with 4 textures. They are color variations of what you see above, a bold pattern that truly catches the eye and captures the imagination. The layered, ruffled skirt can do that too of course :)

If your weekend plans are simple and breezy, I'd like to suggest the YM SHOP_Wink Dress gift to wear :) This flirty strapless mini with empire waist and flared skirt is provided in a standard classic size as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique body versions. The bold pops of pink against the snowy white background are so pretty, and the clasp of its built in belt reminds me of a butterfly. There are sizes for eBody Reborn, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies included, all ours for free just for visiting. You'll always find something new and tempting here, just like all of our stops tonight because FabFree designers are wonderful :)

My day had ups and downs, mostly because my parents are unsure they want to continue the Christmas eve tradition that they helped my grandmother with for several decades. I feel like it's sending a message to the rest of the family that they no longer matter with her gone, or who needs tradition anymore. They asked if I'd be heartbroken, and I know they wanted me to say no...I wonder which meme would suit my reaction best. Hide the pain Harold maybe? Sigh. We agreed to revisit that idea after this holiday. Okay so I've got a busy weekend ahead, but at least our Thanksgiving plans (Thursday with just the parents, Saturday with 3 others added) are solidified. I didn't really want to do two, but it was their idea and now they're overwhelmed I guess. *headdesk* I hope you all have a peaceful weekend ahead, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Feeling Free and Fab

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I felt the urge to check out some gifts for the FabFree in SL group, which is always free to join and is the inworld presence of the amazing blog by the same name. I'm a longtime fan of both, and always eager to share their gifts whenever I get the chance because there are so many generous and talented designers who take part. While there have been several newer ones added recently (more all the time!) I headed down the list of gifts somewhat to see what ones have been available for a bit, in case they are going to be swapped out soon. I wouldn't want you to miss out :) The good news with that is if any are replaced by the time you read this post, the new gifts are sure to be just as lovely! I know of at least one time that a gift was replaced the very next day after I'd blogged it, so pretty much anything is possible. Just pop on that "I am Fabulous" group tag and come along with me...

My first stop of the evening was YM SHOP, where I cammed way up their group gift wall to find the Yolandi Outfit for FabFree :) They are quite generous as you will see. The lace trimmed dress comes in 5 classic and 5 fitmesh standard sizes as well as sizing for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. We also receive shoes to fit Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high feet, and the pretty purse in my left hand that has a built in holding pose. It is a very well-coordinated look which I greatly appreciate :) Classy and a touch flirty, don't you think?

We can ramp up the sex appeal with another black dress, the YoU By GeMyles Lorinda Dress. I do love halter necklines, and this is no exception. There are sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Hourglass, Kupra, Kups, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh bodies, with a HUD offering 15 lace textures for the bodice. As you can probably tell, they are somewhat sheer for the most part, some textures more than others, and I was impressed by the wide range of types of lace offered. To claim this treat, please right click the vendor image and pay $1L, which is immediately refunded to you while the gift is delivered.

Next I had some fun with the YoUnique Couture Delice Tee Trio gift, a delicate and shiny tube top with lace trim. We receive eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Hourglass, Physique, Signature, Star, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Tonic Minim mesh body sizes, along with a 3 texture HUD. You can pair this with just about anything from skirts to shorts to leggings, but I reached for my favorite Delizio jeans which are a marketplace freebie that have become essential to my wardrobe :)

I also found a daring bodysuit from BWC called TakeTheRisk Strappy BodySuit, so obviously I took the risk and am sharing it here ;) The name says it all, and our group gift includes sizing for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD that offers 8 main colors and 4 metals, so it is very easily customizable. The rear is mostly teeny straps, so that view is even more intended for mature audiences. That's not a complaint, just explaining why you aren't seeing my bum on display yet again. 

My final look of the evening sums up the past weekend I think, and is a great choice for when you've had enough adulting or people-ing. Our Tastic-Nope Hoodie Dress group gift comes in Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, and Reborn mesh body sizes, with a succinct "NOPE." across the front in white to match the seams and cuffs. If your RL weather refuses to recognize that the calendar says it's spring now (like mine), you might want to layer some jeans or leggings beneath this to keep those legs a little warmer. I am all bundled up at my desk right now, wondering if Mother Nature needs a reboot or an upgrade to some software somewhere.

YM Shop Group Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to invite you to visit the YM SHOP with me, where you will find a bounty of group gifts and even some lucky boards for lots of versatile outfits. The group is currently free to join, although I am not sure for how long since I remember there being a fee before and the group's description even mentions a $20L cost to join. Honestly that is not a bad deal, but if you are able to join now while it is still free I would highly recommend it :) The wall to the left when you walk through the entrance is where you will find the group gifts, some large images you can click and two vendors with photos to scroll through. When the one you want is in the middle, just click it with their group tag active and it delivers it automatically, very simple to use. A few gifts towards the right seemed to be set for a different group, and are not among tonight's looks here. I did not have much time to wait for the lucky boards to change to a D, so I do not have any of those prizes to share yet, just some wonderful group gifts. 

My first look this evening is the YM SHOP_Adriana Dress, a group gift that is loaded with excellent details. The dress itself is included in Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizes, with a HUD offering an impressive 30 texture choices. There are so many different colors and patterns to choose from, so I just randomly picked two that seemed varied enough to give you an idea. That fringy skirt makes me want to dance! 

I really like the idea of a simple, stylish romper for weekend wear, so I gladly claimed this YM SHOP_Arya Romper. There are two versions, with and without the laces in the deep V neckline, each in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. It also includes a HUD with 40 colors for the romper, the same 40 choices for the laces, and 5 metal tones for the rivets that the laces go through. You can get really creative with your look, and it is all thanks to these HUDs. 

Another irresistible group gift is this YM SHOP_Indyla Dress, a strapless mini with lush ruffles in Altamura, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body sizes. There is also a HUD so you can choose from 27 options, 25 of which are various colors of the style on the left above with 2 solids with contrasting solid colors as on the right. If you ever are unsure about what a HUD will do, I really suggest just go ahead and click different buttons and see what happens :) You cannot do any damage, and it will help you see all the ways you can tint your outfits. 

The YM SHOP_Sera Dress has a strong association with the number 13 for me, as it comes in 13 different colors that are each packed separately. Unpack any color and you will find what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 classic, 5 standard, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. On the left is Blue Sequin above, and Gold was my choice on the right. The others are beige, black, emerald, fuschia, green sequin, pink sequin, purple sequin, red, red sequin, and white, so there is a wide range of both color and texture to choose from here. I love the way the back swoops down to gather loosely above the formfitting skirt. 

For my final look of the evening, I changed into the daring YM SHOP_Amande Dress and took advantage of another generous HUD. The dress comes in Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. The HUD has a whopping 47 choices for our texture, with solid and sheer latex plus sheer lace and even translucent with cobwebs decorating a few colors. The back and front both have flirty dips, and you can see that my rear view is showing off some bum cleavage, so be mindful of that when deciding where to wear this little number. 

Are you all ready for the weekend? Mine started with dinner at my parents', and continues in the morning with a visit to my favorite local farmers market which I always appreciate. Then it will take a downturn with my housemate's houseguest arriving, ugh...the one I don't get along with...he is awkward and unfriendly, so I will spend most of my time hiding in here with my TV and the computer. That does mean I will be hanging out with all of you in a way, so that is a plus :) Oh and tonight was fun because I got to watch my favorite hockey player get his first NHL hat trick, 3 goals in one game. He is smaller than most of the guys on the team and in the league, so he has to work extra hard and it has been paying off. Fabulously Free

Hiya everyone! Tonight I was inspired by reading about several new group gifts for the FabFree Group, which is the in-world presence of the FabFree in SL blog. I have been a huge fan of theirs ever since I discovered them, very early on in my time in SL so well over a decade. I have greatly benefited from they information they provide, not just because of the gifts but from learning about new-to-me designers and events or places to visit in SL. For tonight's looks, I visited their group gift listing and went with not the absolute newest but some that I had not shown you yet from longer ago so they could possibly change soon...this way you can claim them before that happens :) Some designers change out gifts more frequently than others, it is entirely up to them so there is no set time like with an event or hunt, so all I can say is that if you see something you like you should not hesitate. 

My first look is the FabFree gift from Northern Sky Creations, called NSC Arrow Tunic. This breezy dress can also be worn as a top if you decide to layer some leggings or jeans beneath, and the pattern is quite eye-catching. Our gift includes fitmesh standard (S, M, L) sizes as well as Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh body versions.

Summer is almost here, although of course you can find any climate you wish in SL so you can enjoy this next gift year round :) It is the Petry Model BIKINI HSDE, a versatile gift consisting of sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD provided with 8 texture choices, 4 of which are solids and the other 4 patterns, so you can change your look with a quick click.

YM SHOP has their pretty Sloane Outfit as the FabFree gift, and it includes 3 different colors for added variety. The dress comes in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes (5 classic, 5 fitmesh standard, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink) with a cute handbag and a pair of laced up sandals for Slink High (not shown). This gift includes Black/Red, Brown, and White versions.

This tempting dress is our FabFree gift from [Sexy Princess] Called Florine Dress. I love the way it swoops up from the waist, both front and back, like a bra top connected to a tiny mini skirt. It includes sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.

My final look is a flirty one as well, the Entice Dress (Silk Pattern) from LEIGH. It has a peekaboo waist and slender spaghetti straps, and a fantastic texture. The gift contains sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies, with a HUD offering both colors shown above. Pink and purple are my favorite colors so it will be tricky to decide which to wear first :) The metallic sheen is quite beautiful.

Feeling Fabulous

Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to show you some of the many terrific group gifts currently available for the FabFree group. It is free to join, and is the inworld presence of the Fabulously Free in SL blog which I have been a huge fan of since joining SL. They are a valuable source of information regarding gifts and sales all over the grid, so we can look beautiful and even furnish our homes affordably. To claim these gifts, just wear your group tag and look for the rainbow FabFree sign in each participating store.

Our first visit tonight is to YM SHOP, where you can claim their Edis Outfit with your FabFree tag. It consists of the top and bra (the bow in the front is from the bra) in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Fox, and Werewolf, with two versions of the leggings in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The platform heels are also provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, while the earrings and clutch (purse) seen here are included as well.

You can head to the islands with the gift from Vips Creations, which is called Chanel - Hawaii. The halter style jumpsuit comes in a fitted version plus sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, and our matching shoes are in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high sizing. The tropical flowers are in such a bold, vibrant color that it will be fun to wear in any season.

Next we stop by Alias! where we can find their lovely Stars and Stripes bikini set as their gift for the group. It includes the bikini top, bottom, and sarong, each in standard mesh sizes plus versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. While the main holiday for this outfit passed a couple of weeks ago, I think we need a bit of patriotism from time to time in this country, and without the sarong it is simply a blue suit with tiny white stars :) Also I am still hearing fireworks in my neighborhood tonight, so it seems some of us are celebrating the USA all summer.

Tiar has a lovely FabFree gift too, their Tuta dress. It is strapless and very short with a loose fit, trimmed in solid lavender. The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.

My busy day included a birthday celebration at my parents' house (not my birthday) and tomorrow I will be on the go all day. Feeling Fabulous and Free

Hiya everyone! Tonight I decided to explore some gifts for the FabFree group, which is short for Fabulously Free in SL. The group is the in-world presence of the wonderful FabFree blog, of which I have been a fan for almost as long as I've been in SL now. It is such a helpful source of inspiration, about free or especially affordable fashion and fun events to visit. Plenty of participating designers offer free group gifts in their stores for the FabFree group members, which is free to join as always, so that is another clear benefit of having them in one of your group slots :) Let's take a look at a sampling of the designers' generous gifts.

Entice is offering their A Thousand Miles Dress - Navy as a gift for the FabFree group. It has a full skirt to mid-thigh and a tank top with a difference, that being the trio of leathery buckled straps holding each side of the top closed. The gift includes plenty of sizes for all: 5 classic, 5 fitmesh, eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. 

Next we visit GLITTER, by heading south from the landing point through the courtyard and turning around when we reach the back wall. It is beneath the stairs with other group's gifts, and is called Chloe Fitmesh Dress 3 in 1 via HUD Bronze. It includes standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. Also provided is a handy HUD that lets you choose from solid long (as seen on the left), solid short, sheer short (right, the top is slightly sheer so my arm is intentionally hiding my breast) or even completely off. You could do a clever striptease style dance with this dress and HUD combo!

To find this gift, you need to head south from the landing area too, in a quirky little coincidence :) Walk past all the gachas in the middle of the courtyard (yes, I know those are hard to resist) and down to the group gifts area at MOoH! where you'll see a FabFree sign and this awesome gift called Kim Romper. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions, with a HUD that offers 6 colors. All the colors are trimmed in white, from the scalloped edges to the tiny belt with bow tie. Spring will be here soon, so this will make a great go-to outfit.

One last look of the night, this is the gift from YM SHOP called Again Outfit. It includes sizes for standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, with a fantastic HUD that offers 35 colors each for top, skirt, and belt, and 10 choices for the studs (gems?) on the belt. You can go completely one color like I did on the right, or play around with various shades to create a combination that matches your mood. It is no secret that I am a huge fan of the versatility found with HUDs, and this is a stellar example of why.

I still have a bit of a sore throat, but it is a little better and I imagine it will continue to improve throughout the week. Menthol in cough drops upsets my stomach too much so I'm always on the lookout for ones without, and Smith Bros. has a warm apple pie flavor that is made with pectin, OMG they taste so good! I highly recommend them if your throat is dry or scratchy but you don't need the menthol. The sick family member I mentioned recently went to the doctor this afternoon and has a sinus infection, so not contagious, therefore my throat could just be allergies or a random tiny touch of a bug. Fabulous Rewind

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some group gifts to share, for the FabFree group which is short for Fabulously Free in SL. They are not only an inworld group filled with information on bargains and gifts galore, but they are a blog that I have relied upon for guidance since my earliest days in SL, back when I was still learning to adjust prim skirts because mesh wasn't an option yet. They kept me from being an utter fashion don't, and to dress in a way that suited me while being affordable. The group is free to join, and there are many participating designers who offer group gifts to any visitor with their tag active. I will also be showing you a really fun outfit from Entice at Rewind Y2K, a time in fashion I remember with fondness and amusement. There were bold colors and adventurous styles, and I think the Entice offering embraces those ideas very well.

This first gift for the FabFree group is from the YM SHOP, and is called Althea Split Dress. It is provided in what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes (5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink) with a HUD that offers 12 different colors for the dress. When you arrive at the store, you don't even need to enter to locate this dress...look to the right, the outside front wall, and you will see the rainbow striped FabFree sign with 2 gifts beneath it.

I did mention two gifts, well the other generous FabFree treat from YM SHOP is this Dandy Outfit, with all those components combined into one easy-to-wear piece in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions. There is also a texture HUD with this gift as well, 8 buttons to explore and see what playful color combos they display. 

I combined two different gifts for this look, but feel free to pair them each with your favorite wardrobe staples. The top is from [satus Inc.] called Rye Tied Straight Top Pink, and comes in sizes for Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, and fitmesh standard versions. The skirt is the Brit Skirt from Revelation, a high waisted mini with lacing up the front and a gently fluttery style that looks beautiful in all of the 18 textures on the included HUD. That handy HUD also offers 6 colors for the laces in the front, so lots of variety here. The skirt itself is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. To find this gift in the store, look on the other side of the wall behind the front desk and you'll see several different group signs, then beneath there are some packages. The pink one on the far left is the FabFree gift, and should be the only one to distribute a gift when clicked while wearing the correct group tag. I hope that explanation makes sense, it just wasn't labeled and I am hoping to be helpful :)

Our FabFree gift from Tiar called Noa, is delightful for spring with its soft coloring and delicate texture, not to mention the long sleeves with slits to reveal glimpses of our arms. The gift comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP, and I'm giving directions again to find a gift...hehe...when you land, the main store is the building to your west (this is why my mini map is always open, just in case) so head west and go inside, through several open doorways to the back wall. You will see the FabFree group sign back there along with the gift to click and claim.

Head to the Rewind Y2K event and you can pick up these fantastic offers from Entice. My top is the Entice - Good Vibrations Top - Fatpack and is $450L for 10 gorgeous colors or $150L for your choice of 8 individual shades. There are 2 in the fatpack that are exclusives to it alone. Sizes include Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique. The tops can be mixed and matched perfectly with the Good Vibrations Leggings & Boots, available at Rewind as a fatpack for $450L. There are 10 textures for the leggings and 10 matching colors for the boots on the included HUD. The leggings/boots combo comes in the same mesh sizes as the top. Those textures really drew me to them, and the vivid colors of the top and boots complement the prints so well. The Rewind event is open until the 5th of March, so you have a few days left to stop by and enjoy. Hair note of the night- Truth Hair has a new release at their mainstore, much sooner than expected after technical difficulties that prevented him from being able to offer it at this round of Uber. But don't worry, he is actually offering it at his mainstore for the discounted event price for a limited time :) As I am sure you guessed, it is the hair I'm wearing tonight, and its name is Polly. She comes with a Stylist HUD so you can flip the hair from the pony to either side or both sides, and have hair in the back or all off to the side, with a few different options for the bangs as well. My suggestion is to grab the demo and play with that HUD to see all the ways it can be styled. I did so and obviously could not resist picking up my favorite Redhead color set. 

Not a great day here, a scheduling snafu meant that my dentist could not take care of my little cavities today so I just had a cleaning and will have to go back in almost 2 weeks for the main event. I get to worry the entire time until then, yay! That would be the anxiety talking of course. I'll be okay, just need to focus on other things in the meantime.
