Hiya everyone! Tonight we visit the Halloween Sales 2019 event again, because there were too many terrific gifts there for me to fit into one post. You can claim the gifts by clicking the pumpkins that are draped with a black ribbon at each designer's display, and you will also find seasonal items (mens and womens clothing, accessories, home decor, etc.) for 50% off or more. You will need to hurry since it is a timely event of course, ending on the 4th of November. You may notice that I look quite different tonight, well that is because I am wearing one of the newly released Slink Visage Bento heads :) Her name is Amelia and I am still trying to find the right set of tweaks to get her to look the way I want. I am wearing the Slink Physique body tonight too, which I haven't done in a while, so it was an evening of adjustments :)
My first look of the evening is the Tamara Dress gift from *Gloss*, a single strap mini dress with a subtle pattern on its flutter skirt. The gift includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes for plenty of popular mesh bodies.
Next we see the treat from the On A Lark pumpkin, *OAL* Meryl ~ Autumn. This lovely dress has a plunging neckline all the way down to the waist, with a few pleats in the front and a fun strap down the back. It is provided in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.
This playful outfit is our gift from New Line Store, their Witch Set Gift. The dress and boots are each included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, along with the matching hat. There is even a HUD provided that has 3 color choices for each component, so there is versatility as well.
I have a confession for this look...I decided to censor it, as you can tell with the red flower that wound up looking more like an asterisk or a blob. I think you can still tell what it says though ;) This is the gift from Vicious Delicious, called Dont Be Sweatshirt, which includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. If you read my blog often, you are probably not surprised to see the jeans from Delizio again, as they are one of my all-time favorite marketplace gifts, coming in several colors as system layers (shown, BOM) and appliers for Maitreya and Omega.
My final look this evening is our gift from DaneMarkZ, their DMZ Fashionably Dead Nail Polish. There are 12 colors with a spectral skull image on them, in appliers for Maitreya and Omega. Please excuse the dark edges around my nails, this is an older skin not created for BOM and I had trouble tinting the tattoo layer fixes for that because in edit mode the skin and tattoos go blurry. Maybe I need to edit them while wearing them on my system hands and not in BOM mode...*lightbulb moment* :) Now to see if I actually remember that when I login a few hours from now. Spoiler alert: poor memory lately means I probably will not.
It has been quite the day...a hockey game left me dejected and frustrated, and a family member was fairly annoying when I was already moody. That doesn't sound like the best idea, now does it? Hiya everyone! Tonight I will be showing you some more SLF&O group gifts from across the grid. There are so many that it deserved another post :) I also have some happy news about group slots, I mentioned yesterday that there had been a post on the official SL blog that non-premium members were losing group slots in a few weeks but they listened to feedback and have reconsidered. (link here) It is rare for a company to react so swiftly and actually listen to their members/consumers, so I am truly impressed. That said, let's take a look at some generous group gifts for a group that deserves one of your slots no matter how many you have.
First we visit FOLDS & WRINKLES with our SLF&O group tag active, so we can claim this lovely Layla nude sand dress, sized for Maitreya mesh bodies. It is a daringly short tank style with lace texture and a ruffle at the hem.
For a more formal look, head to FlowerDreams where their Gillian in Lilac is waiting for you to claim. It consists of a top and bottom in system layers and appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink mesh bodies, with a mesh skirt panel in standard sizes and two flexi skirt pieces. They are dusted with glittery sequins, and I love the way the top is laced in the back and tied with the bow from the under-bust ribbon.
For this pretty top, we visit a region called Wakanda to collect this gift from FAFA. It is called Fleur Tank and comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. I am wearing it with the marketplace gift jeans from Delizio that have appeared here on my blog many times before, and will continue to because of their versatility.
Time to crank up the flirt factor to maximum! This is the SLFO group gift from EVOLVE APPAREL called FEVER, and it is clearly steamy. It comes in Hourglass and Maitreya sizes, with built in thong and mostly made of fringe. I added those white "modesty flowers" in Photoshop to cover up my nipples, they are not part of the outfit or in SL.
My final look of the night is the gift DanemarkZ called DMZ - Diner Queen Nail Polish. It includes appliers for Maitreya and Omega, with 10 colors of this silvery chevron design. The one on my thumb that you can't see in this pose is white on white. I am wearing them on the Slink stiletto nails that come with their hands.
My weekend plans are starting earlier in the morning than I expected, so I will be a tired magpie by the time I get home. The treasures I pick up will be food items rather than pretty shinies though ;) One person I will be seeing is a Game of Thrones fan and will want to talk about the final season since I haven't seen her since last autumn, should be a long and animated conversation. Hiya everyone! It was a mostly quiet day, and I have just two places for you to visit tonight to pick up the freebies shown here. There are group gifts from Insomnia Store, whose group is free to join, and there is a better look at a Midnight Mania prize I hinted at yesterday from DanemarkZ. I am always grateful to find free or almost free gifts to share, as it does help us spread our SL budgets a bit further and gives us a chance to wear the designers' hard work out and about (rather than a brief demo) to better appreciate their style. If you like a free gift you pick up, please support the creators by shopping in their store, so they will be able to continue to offer us these freebies :) I know that I personally could never manage to do what they do, which makes me even more glad that there are so many creative and talented ladies and gentlemen out there who keep my avi looking her best.
My first look shows two different gifts found at Insomnia Store, just wear your free group tag and click the various bags, signs, and boxes in the group gifts area to claim them. The dress is their *IS* Doll Mini Dress, standard mesh sizes with a HUD featuring 6 different textures/color combos for the dress, two of which are shown here. On the left I am wearing the *IS* Fur Stole Winter Edition Christmas Gift, 3 sizes that span the range of standard sizes by combining a few, and another HUD for two different textures to the fur itself. They are both white, just different patterns. As mesh, they do move with your arms and it is quite handy in the cooler weather.
I really like the style of our next gift, *IS* Flowers Embroidered Dress Updated, which is two gifts in one since you get the black and white versions in one gift, sized for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink only but I'm sure with alpha layers you could work it out for a classic body. The scalloped hem is as lovely as the floral designs and slight hints of embossed lace. The long sleeves make it ideal for winter, and if the short skirt seems too chilly, you can always pick out your favorite tights or leggings to wear beneath. I might even use it as a tunic top over some cute jeans.
Another beautiful gift you can claim from Insomnia Store is their *IS* Mohito Rose Dress Exclusive Group Gift, with its fluttery layered skirt and soft bow to top it off. You will find all standard sizes in this box, and it looks like I caught myself gasping or giggling at how sweet this style looks.
Yesterday I mentioned that I could not show you a closer look yet at one of the Midnight Mania prizes from DanemarkZ since SL was being glitchy, well fortunately today the grid was much kinder to me :) So here is that wonderful prize, the DMZ Ten shades of Passion Nailpolish pack. There are, as the name implies, 10 designs to choose from or mix and match, including solids and a subtle marbled look, and that deep grey grid with chains draped across my index finger. Such rich colors, the gloss and shadowing really gives them depth. Hurry and click those boards, they don't need many clicks to lock down each day. Hiya everyone! Tonight I have another variety for you, from hunt prizes to group gifts to Midnight Mania prizes. The hunt is the Cute & Curvy 2 Hunt, a dollarbie gridwide hunt with a great array of participating designers who have hidden terrific prizes in their tiny lollipop hunt objects. Just follow the hints, find the sweet treat, pay it a linden, and you've got yourself a very inexpensive addition to your wardrobe. The group gifts I mentioned are a couple more for Fabulously Free in SL, FabFree for short, and they have a whole list of group gifts here. I have shown some before, and am delighted to share a couple more tonight.
First we have a hunt prize from Lady Dragon's Designs, their (CnC) Ladies Outfit which consists of the B&W Poka Bibs pants, Bikini, and Sassy Top. The pants have standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Physique, and Hourglass versions, while the tops each come in Hourglass, Maitreya, Slink, and Toxic sizes only. I love the variety, and I'll bet those pants would look just as cute with a plain white or black crop top, tank, or simple tee of your choosing as well.
One of the fun FabFree group gifts can be found at Pretty Kitty Designs, just wear your group tag (FabFree is free to join as always) and you will find this Victoria V3 outfit in a bag on the counter. The top and pants each come in 8 sizes (standard, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink) and as you can see, they each have eye-catching details in monochrome.
Remember the last time I blogged FabFree group gifts, and I had found that wonderful feathery corset outfit at Glitter? Well it seems there is another gift there too, the Angel Corset is still there but we can also claim a more casual classy look. Here you can see their DORA mesh outfit in Beig, top and leggings each in standard mesh sizes. From the landing spot, head down to the far end of the courtyard and you will find the main Glitter store, go in and turn right and there is a wall of gifts for many groups including their own. I only mention this since I was a bit lost the first time I visited :)
I have another case of "remember when" for all of you...I had posted a gift from Snowpaws for the FabFree group, then that very evening they changed out their gift which I did not discover until I published my post. I still feel badly about that case of poor timing, but I hope seeing this gorgeous Segalle Halter Dress in Blue Flower can make up for that :) This is the new gift from Snowpaws, and is a beautiful way to accentuate your curves in 5 standard and 5 fitmesh sizes. It looks like shimmery satin, just begging to be touched.
DanemarkZ has a treat for all of us, a pair of Midnight Mania boards that do not require a group tag to click and they have a very reasonable target to help them lock down easily. One of the prizes is proudly on display here, their Princess Lingerie #04 in system layers and an Omega HUD. The strapless bra and bikini panties have sweet polka dots and a hint of lace at the edges, and a couple of well placed bows as a finishing touch.
Nail note of the night: the other Midnight Mania board at DanemarkZ has their sexy DMZ Ten Shades of Nailpolish Pack, also with a target of just 20 clicks, and I wanted to share a closer look but SL would not cooperate. I noticed close up that when I applied the nail polish, my Slink nail would partly disappear like there is an alpha issue happening, tried re-wearing the hands themselves and changing nail styles (on/off, stiletto, medium, etc) but I could only see them normally with a default polishing from the Slink HUD itself. Relogged completely, no improvement, so I will try again tomorrow. There are 10 designs to choose from, shades of blues and greys either solid gloss or a subtle design that reminded me of marble or concrete, and there is even a choice of black with silver chains draped across the nail.
I am starting to think my mood for this week can be summed up with a question: is it nap time yet? ;) I think feeling tired and drained is becoming a mood since it is seeping into my outlook on things. It will be okay, life is generally good, I will always find reasons to smile.
