Hiya everyone! The current round of Hairology is underway, and they have been bringing us fantastic hairstyles from across the grid for a full year now. They are celebrating with some lovely gifts from many of the designers in addition to their usual assortment of exclusive offerings. Tonight I am showing you just a sample of the gifts you will find there, it was a lot of fun putting together these looks from among so many generous beauties.
This first adorable gift is from RunAway, called [RA] Jade Hair in Essentials. It includes a HUD with 6 color options, two of which are shown above. The colors are an assortment of natural, traditional tones that provide a nice range.
If you have done much hair shopping around the grid, chances are you're familiar with Alice Project, who have been designing really fun hair for many years. This is one of the two gifts they have waiting for you at Hairology, called Kelly - Winter Compilation. The hair itself comes in the version shown along with a bangless option, 4 sizes for each, and the HUD allows you to choose from among 30 different looks. This breaks down to 5 base colors, each with 6 different seasonal streaks so you can play around with that HUD to change your hair to whatever suits your mood or your outfit of the day.
You probably guessed as soon as you spotted the playful ribbons of color in this hair, that it is the other gift from Alice Project, well you'd be right :) This is Nicki II - Winter Compilation and it comes in the same 4 sizes and with the same terrific HUD of 30 holiday combinations (5 basic colors, 6 variations per color). I refuse to wait until Christmas to sport the awesome candy cane highlights you see on the left, and the wintry blue streaks on the right team up so well with the icy white blonde shade.
Maybe you're still feeling playful, but not in a specific winter mood...this next gift reminded me more of Easter. Our exclusive gift from Beusy is their Renegade Hair with Ears, and as you can tell those ears are a separate add-on so you can wear the hair alone or with the satin-lined addition. The gift also includes a color HUD with an impressive 48 options, solids and ombres and fades abound on this lovely HUD.
One last glimpse for the evening, this is Mithral's anniversary gift for all Hairology visitors called Bezoar in Variety. There is a HUD included with 30 different choices for your sleek new hairdo, some gentle fades as well as delightful solid shades.
My outfit tonight is a Marketplace find from {H}, a free gift from October that includes system layers and HUDs for Omega, Belleza, and Maitreya. The outfit consists of sexy black pants topped with a semi-transparent shirt emblazoned with CHILL in gold to match the shiny belt buckle. I feel like Chill is a great motto for the weekend, hope you agree :) It did get a lot cooler here in RL though so it could be taken literally, but I prefer the relaxed state of mind.
Friday was very hectic and I had a hard time staying logged into SL, so I spent plenty of time with my family and my houseguest yesterday and today. We have some things prepared for the upcoming holiday with more planning yet to do, and tomorrow we are making some awesome nachos with several cheeses, shredded rotisserie chicken, refried beans, locally handmade tortilla chips and pico de gallo (same great place made those both) and plenty of sour cream. It's comfort food meets party food, with healthy options wherever possible (the beans are Amy's organic, cheese and sour cream are hormone/antibiotic free, etc) and everyone will have fun piling the toppings on their own tray. Some will watch football, others random movies (I'm in that category) and many faces will be stuffed ;) Sometimes we have to find our own simple joys when the world seems overwhelming.

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am sharing another handful of gifts from the Hair Fair 2016, this time from the Backlot Central sim (Iridium). There are 4 sims involved plus adjacent sims to cam from, in case the sim you wish to visit is full when you go. I highly recommend stripping down to avoid lag, so leave the mesh body & bits at home (I waddled around in my lego feet and hands and a system layer outfit) and check your script count to make sure it's as low as possible. I was at 6 scripts for my visits and still crashed many times, but I do have crashing issues occasionally. This is one event that is always worth the visit :) As usual with the Hair Fair photos, please click each so you can see it full size since they are pretty big.
My first look of the night is the gift from Little Bones, with their beautiful Gem hair and its Variety HUD. This gives you 8 Natural and 8 Unnatural coloring options, all great choices and I must say, quite flattering to this versatile style. Love those waves!
Our gift from Alice Project is called Faye II and consists of two different lengths of this sleek sexy bob with basics and mirror ombre versions of each, plus a bevy of HUDs for every imaginable color or combination. They include Anime, Basic Colors, Basic Naturals, Color Essentials, Essentials, Fading Spring, Glitter & Streaks, Essentials Color Ombre, and Essentials Mirror Ombre. On the left I chose a base color from the Basic Naturals, used the Streaks option (found on every HUD) and added a lighter shade from that same HUD for my streaks. The middle is from the Glitter & Streaks, but I didn't use the streaks feature just chose a pretty red with purple streaks built into the color already. The right is the Long version of this hair, in a pick from the Fading Spring HUD. On the left, I'm not giving myself side-eye, just trying to decide which length works best for me ;)
I feel like a mermaid again! This is Damselfly's gorgeous gift of Unity in rigged mesh, two different sizes (sm/med and lg) and several fully loaded HUDs: Bubblegums + faded, Dk Blondes + faded, Dk Browns + faded, Dk Reds + faded, Lt Browns + faded, Lt Blondes + faded, Lt Browns + faded, Lt Reds + faded, and Tuxedo + faded. You can see how pretty this looks from the back too, another very generous gift.
Perhaps you would prefer something in a shorter style, maybe an asymmetrical pixie? Head on over to the Iconic booth and pick up their gift, which is this playful COCO hairdo with All Hair Dyes included. The HUDs consist of bombshells, brunettes, obsidians, specials, vamps, and variety, and there are system layer hairbases along with a Lelutka HUD included as well. I can easily see that there will be times I choose this as an alternative to my usual updos or long waves :)
Outfit note of the night: another fun hunt prize from the Flirty Summer Hunt can be found in the cute crab at Moonstar. For just $1L you can claim this Flirty Red Bikini and Accessories which includes system layers, appliers for Tango, Maitreya, Slink, and Omega, and the sarong you can almost see in my first photo plus a pair of red sunglasses which both have resize scripts built in. The texture is unbelievable, those ruffles and bows on the bikini top look like they have to be mesh or sculpted, don't they? I was very impressed by them. While you're there, be sure to check their Lucky Boards and Mini Manias upstairs for some great free prizes with no group tag needed.
It was another busy day, tiring but overall enjoyable, and I am preparing for a few more hectic days ahead. I had a really good Pokemon GO day, hehe, finally being in an area with more than just the occasional rattata and pidgey. We have been warned of a heat wave in the area with temperatures of 105 degrees expected, so I need to be careful not to overdo. Hiya everyone! I have been fishing at Sn@tch to get the components of a set of outfits called Shake it Off, for which I use my 7 Seas fishing rod without bait so after the initial purchase of the rod itself (which I've had for several years and really enjoy fishing) it is free to fish. There are 22 pieces you will be fishing for, including 6 mesh shirts (each one is bagged so all sizes and an alpha are included) and 5 pairs of pants in a system layer, boots, earrings, a choker, and makeup too. Plenty of goodies to mix and match! There are a few days left for this outfit, and I haven't gotten it all yet (really wishing I had the fishnet shirt for underneath to show you more variety) but here are some glances at what I've fished up so far...
This shirt is #4 Human Being Tank, unpacked to find the standard mesh sizes and alpha layer in the bag. The pants are #12 Shake it Off Plaid Pants in purple, a system pants layer with the studded belt as part of the texture. The combat boots are for default avatar feet and are #14 and #15 because we catch the left and right separately :) The necessary shoe shape is #23 and the alpha layer for the boots is #24.
Here we see tank top #1 Keep Calm, and the wording on there is perfect! I switched to the red pants which are #13 and again are a system pants layer, and our same funky combat boots with the steel toes. Because I wore the red pants, I figured the lipstick would be appropriate here to match so I am also showing #20 Cream Lipstick in scarlet.
How about a flower to brighten your day? This is #5 Daisy Tank Top, matched up with the grey plaid pants which are #11 to catch. I like the effect of the outfit being almost monochrome until you see the bright pop of the daisy center.
This shirt made me chuckle, as I know plenty of people who would wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment! I tend to mix my black or neutrals with jewel tones but there is a fair amount of black in my wardrobe, RL and SL actually. If you catch #3, you will be able to sport this shirt as well :) The cool shade of aqua pants are #9 and a system pants layer as the others are.
Nail note of the night: I have a great match for these outfits from TLB (The Little Bat), from their Midnight Mania boards, a Slink HUD called Resurrect. Various colors with black tips and black crosses, they work really well with the vibe of the photos.

Hiya everyone! I have some more prizes from the Atlantis Hunt to share with you, and since there were so many Greek themed ones in this batch I decided to head to a sim with some ancient ruins to reflect that. I checked Second Life's destinations page on their website and found the Temple of Portunus, well I wandered a bit when I got there so I was on that sim but various areas within. I quite enjoyed the breaktaking scenery, as well as the prizes, so let's take a peek!
As in yesterday's post, the prevailing color is aqua, and believe me that is not a complaint but a happy observation. This stunner is our prize from Mishmash Fusion #12 and is called Cleito, includes the gorgeous mesh dress and matching Slink high shoes. The details are terrific as you can see, and the shoes even have a swirly little addition on the top of the heel. The short dress has that alluring tail draped down and around the ankle, and that neckline doesn't need any jewelry whatsoever.
I feel like a mermaid version of a Botticelli painting! Instead of a shell, I appear to be rising from some gorgeous ruins though, in my lovely new dress from Kelli Kreations. Nerissa here is prize #11 in the hunt, and has some beautiful texturing along with those fun crimson fins. Be aware that the view from behind is a tad bit cheeky, as it is quite short. I was fortunate to be able to match my nails to the deep red, as the Trident HUD from Rad Designs (#16 and featured in yesterday's post also) has the red as one of their 6 color choices.
This toga style dress is delightful, and the myriad of rich blues and golds in this design makes it even better! This is our prize from #13 Emerald Couture, and the men will find a gladiator skirt in this gift for them to enjoy as well.
Another take on the terrific toga, this time from Country Couture #14, and it includes both the dress and the gladiator heels for Slink high feet. Each come in several mesh sizes for your needs.
In our last photo of the night, we have a sexy mini dress with an intriguing design on the front (glimpses of the hidden Atlantis?) and a lovely jewelry set. First the dress, it is courtesy of {Get Frocked} and they are #17 in the hunt. The necklace you see here is part of the Minoan Labrys Jewelry set from Octopus' Garden Cafe, and comes in Dainty, Goddess, and He-Man sizes as well as matching earrings. I have just learned (thank you, google!) that a labrys is the term for the doubleheaded axe and was associated with female divinity, so that makes it even more appealing.
Nail note of the night is that they are all from Rad Designs, #16 in the hunt and shown yesterday as well. Hair note, another Hair Fair goodie, an Alice Creations gift that didn't make it into my original post featuring their gifts because they included so many! As always, details in the credits.

The Hair Fair is still going strong, and there are so many generous gifts for their 10th anniversary that I am just spending a few days sharing random sneak peeks of them with you, one sim at a time. Tonight's lovely presents can all be found on the Noirette Sim, and there is a handy dandy map on their blog with a list of stores so you know who can be found where. Well, let's have a look, shall we?
The first gift I'm sharing is not only a beautiful style, but a fun color that really grabs your attention! This is from Clawtooth and is called Misty Day in Plum Forgot, a very clever color name.
This sexy style can be found in the gift from .Olive. and is called the Steamer Hair, this is Satin and it is also included in Nior which is a dramatic black. Both colors come in a size called Bewbies, so it should fit over your mesh enhancements. I love the look of long wavy hair draped over one shoulder.
Alice Project has been wonderfully generous to us, giving us 6 different hairstyles with HUDs to adjust colors and streaks to our liking. The three I am showing from left to right are: Amy Mini Medley, Celeste II Mega Pack, and Poison II Mini Medley. The other gifts included but not shown are called Angelique Mini Medley, Indigo Mini Medley, and Julie Mini Medley. On the left, on Amy, I didn't use the streak option but I added another prize altogether; those adorable kitty ears are actually the gift from Mystic Tiger and come with a HUD for 5 different ear/band colors. It would work nicely with a wide variety of styles.
This sassy style is going to get a great deal of wear, as it happens to come in my preferred auburn with that pretty fade to nearly blonde. This gift is courtesy of Mithral and is named Magnesium, and also comes in a Busty size for those who need it. Please take note of my lovely earrings, well the one you can see, as they are the anniversary gift from eXxEsS. They come in light and dark, the light are shown and the dark is nearly black, very elegant.
This stunning style is our gift from Exile, called Jack or Jill All or Nothing. The first half of the name references the good news that there is a Jack male version included along with the Jill for the ladies, and the All or Nothing is the plethora of HUDs included for just about any color you can imagine! On the left I am showing the Prism color from the Wild Fusion 2 HUD, on the right is Teak from the Browns HUD with color streaks from one of the dots that surround each color circle. Play with the HUDs and have fun finding your favorite colors or combinations. The included HUDs are Fantasy 1, Fantasy 2, Grayscale, Natural Fusion 1, Natural Fusion 2, Naturals, Reds, Wild Fusion 1, Wild Fusion 2, and Wildcards, soooo many to enjoy!
Our final look this evening is a very cute style for summer, Despina Mega Pack from Tameless. There are several different hairs (wigs?) included, just pop one on and click it for the menu of specific color choices. Shown is the sandy blonde from the Blondes, and the others are All Colors, Blacks and Whites, Blues and Greens, Browns, Goths, Pinks and Purples, and Reds, each with their own menu of choices. Good news, that headband is color change also so you can match it to your outfit.
My outfit note of the night is that I didn't find any clothing on the Noirette Sim as a gift, so I am wearing a pretty paisley printed dress that is a marketplace freebie from Encore. I figured the strapless style would work best with a wide variety of hairstyles, and the delicate colors and paisley pattern wouldn't distract from the hair but still look pretty. Nails and skin are the same as the previous nights, keeping it simple :)
I hope everyone is having a fun weekend so far! Mine has been hot, hehe, but I really enjoyed my day and I am ready to relax in the air conditioning for all of Sunday ;) Sometimes it's best to just unwind. Magical magpie hugs to all of you!!

Hiya everyone! I have some more hunt treasures to share with you, from the enMESHed into Spring hunt, and I hope you are enjoying them :)
I went with the current Midnight Mania prize from Alice Project for my hair, and chose the strawberry blonde shade from the many available on the HUD. This first dress is the very pretty prize from OMG! Inc, who is #28 in the hunt, and it comes with a HUD to change among 6 different colors. The necklace is from Indulge Temptation! (!IT!) and they are #37 in the hunt.
These beautiful flowers definitely remind me of spring, and the heart shaped cutout in the front is a very sweet touch! You'll want to visit store #24 Aftertaste if you'd like to pick this up for yourself :)
#34 in the hunt is Loordes of London, and they have included both this lovely dress and the matching earrings for us. Pastels definitely do have a spring vibe, and I'd say the ruffles do too.
This next store is called My Dirty Mind, which made me giggle (I am sometimes guilty of having one myself!) but the prize brought on a huge smile. Lovely mesh dress, separate butterfly attachment for the neckline, and I love the colors and the lace. You could even use this as a wedding gown, maybe an outdoor spring ceremony? This store is #31.
You know by now how much I love cute things, so it's no surprise that Black Gold Design #36 made me squee! A bunny patting a chick, who says 'peep peep!!' in reaction?! Easter is almost here so I'll be sure to wear this later in the week :)
I have a very exciting Saturday planned, a visit from my best friend for the first time in several months (thanks weather and illnesses for preventing that one) so I'm thrilled and just so grateful for her friendship and for any chance to spend time with her. Nothing like a treasured friend to make my heart smile. I am wishing for all of you, that you have something this weekend that makes you happy too!!

Hiya everyone! I've been feeling a lot lately like I've been doing too many things all at once, multitasking gone haywire, and I'm laughing at myself that this post will probably prove that. First I realized that I wasn't actually done with the Steam X Hunt, as Xan and I had saved one of the stores because it was a 10 part mini-hunt. Actually the very last stop was like that too, but it was all the same building but the one we saved (#68) was on multiple sims. Really well done and beautiful sims, so I think it was better that we had more time to look around. Most of the prizes were household or vehicles, but here is a look at #6 out of the 10...
Here is the mens and womens prizes, I'm fairly sure you can guess which is which ;) Hats are certainly not the exclusive domain of men, but they're a popular male gift from this hunt. The dress is simple and quite short, in mesh with a neat monochromatic pattern. I like that the hat is coordinated without being overly matchy.
So then, I realized that I had to check the last store in the Sweet Spring Freedom Hunt because it wasn't set for sale yet last week and I'd really loved the picture of the outfit. I'd mentioned it when I blogged other prizes from the hunt too. The slurl on their site isn't a valid slurl (no sim name) so I had to search for it, but I found the store and was so glad I did!!!
This may be one of my favorite outfits right now, it captures so many different elements and combines them beautifully. The frills have that Victorian flair, the peep of belly button is sexy, the tight dark jeans give it a rocker vibe, and the floral pattern says spring. Shirt and jeans are mesh, and the peeptoe boots are for Slink High feet. So thank you [PREVAIL] for the wonderful treasure!
Next my brain realized that there was a store hunt I'd been meaning to check out for a while now, and left it till the last minute. Venomous Designs is having a Wardrobe Revival Hunt, 26 purple flowers (flat prim) scattered around their store, filled with goodies! You only have until the 15th so I'd suggest you hurry if you haven't been there yet. In addition to some artwork and shelving units, there were some bralet tops that were just appliers so I can't show you (sorry, no mesh body here) but here are a few of my favorite things from this hunt...
Clearly I had a problem, LOL, I wanted to show you these fantastic jeans but there was no top for my non-mesh boobs from the hunt...I'm really quite modest in my first life, and usually in second life, but somehow that isn't coming across lately in my blogging >.< so one quick trip to the marketplace later, I had these cute pasties from "Z" to cover things up. They are free, and if you visit their marketplace store there were several other playful designs to choose from. I also wanted to show you my nails since that HUD is from their hunt as well. Here's a closer look...
That's just 2 of the 6 designs on the HUD in the #18 flower, they're all gorgeous! There's even another set of polishes in another flower, called Crafty, and they are Minecraft designs. Free treasures, no point in resisting :)

Hiya everyone! I've been working my way through the Steam X Hunt, a Victorian steampunk themed hunt, and this round is called Steam: The Dream which sounded really exciting. Lots of home furnishings to be found, but since my primary focus here is fashions I was glad to have some of those to share with you as well. For each store, find the gear and give it a click, and you'll receive a folder full of goodies as well as your next landmark.
I must admit, it's been ages since I wore a flexi skirt, as I've been a big fan of rigged mesh for quite some time. This lovely dress by Rag Dollz (prize #40) has 2 skirt layers, and it really moves so it reminded me of what I liked about flexi. The necklace is included.
This beauty is a mesh kimono, a very daring one hehe, with a really fascinating print...did you notice the gears in the pattern? This is prize #32 by Designs by Sebastian.
Jewelry abounds in this hunt as well, which also makes me quite happy!
At this stop in the hunt, #38 WILLOW, there are 4 different gears to track down, but each one contains a beautiful necklace. The one above is the red roses version, and there are also gold, black, and plum colors to be found. As you can see, they're well worth the search!
When you visit #36, HUDSON's, their gear will give you this special treasure, a jewelry set consisting of two necklaces and matching earrings. I'm showing the smaller of the necklaces, the other is longer with a drop chain suspending the amber pendant. Love these!!
The last glimpse of the hunt for now is the prize from Jacon Cortes Designs, which made me giggle because I'd made an offhanded comment about Captain Jack Sparrow while hunting with my partner, and not only did we later see a cutout of Jack in a store, but this prize reminds me of him as well! This store is #49 in the hunt by the way.
Lots of treasures so far, and I've still got almost half the hunt to enjoy. Speaking of enjoying, I am loving the March group gift skin from WoW skins shown in these pictures, along with another Alice Project mini-mania board prize. This is the prize from Cerri's Booty, mini dress and belt and boots are all included. There are HUDs for the boots and for the dress to change 8 colors, but the dress hud wouldn't work for me so I can only show you the teal shade it was when I unpacked it. The boots are definitely a nice touch.
I decided to change hair for this picture to show off the cheerful flower on this bright sunny dress, the prize from -DD-, and realized now would be a good time to tell you that the hair in all these photos are more prizes from the mini mania boards at the 2 Alice Project locations. That hair really suits this prize as well, the lovely spring dress from Perfect Seduction. The colors are just terrific, it made me feel perky which is what spring does for me in general :)
As you can see from the hunt page itself, there are home furnishings and a poseball set, along with an outfit I didn't blog (last one on their page) because unfortunately the hunt object wasn't set for sale yet...I will be checking back as I really want that prize, looks gorgeous! Hiya everyone! I have a few more goodies to show you from the Find Your Wild Side hunt, which I truly enjoyed and hope you get the opportunity to do the same. One thing that actually feels wild to me is that you'll notice my avi is blonde today! I stopped by Alice Project when I heard that they changed their lucky board prizes, and I won a blonde prize on the lucky board and another blondie from the Mini Mania board. When I tried this one on, the braid (which starts behing the left ear, cascades across the back of the crown and drapes over the right shoulder) made me feel very Daenerys Targaryen. Then I decided I needed to change my eyes, so I am even showing a Jack or Jill hunt prize for the eyes too. Well let's have a look, shall we? :)
This is the FYWS hunt prize from Celtic Creations, the skirt and top and boots all included, and the necklace is the FYWS prize from Baci. Oh and I decided to match my nails to my eyes with the FYWS prize from Nail Me! which has 4 different colors on the HUD. Here's a closer view of those eyes...
I used the mesh eyes but system eyes are included as well, the mesh allowed me to use the color Princess on my left and Violet on my right. I usually have brown eyes during my daily travels, so I'm quite enjoying the variety.
Another peek at more hunt prizes, this is the jacket from Forsaken Falls, teamed with the jeans (system layer, not mesh) from Layers and accented by the necklace from !IT!
Normally I'd put a system layer shirt underneath this for basic traveling about the grid, but well for now I left it as is, staying in touch with that wild side theme :)
