Kiyomizu Winter Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I would like to share several more prizes from the Winter 2020-21 round of the Kiyomizu Hunt. It starts at the Kiyomizu Mall and continues at some of the mainstores of the designers who have locations in the mall too, so the best way to keep track of where you still need to visit is by clicking a ghost floating above the walkways. They can link you to a personalized website showing you what ninja cats you still need to find, with the landmark for the exact location of the scripted sign at each stop that keeps track of how many hunt objects are active. This winter round is available until the 11th, so a few more days remain to find all these tricky but generous kitties. 

There are 3 prizes hidden with different cats at Korpokkur House, two of which can be combined to create this adorable outfit. The Turtle Top and Skirt are each designed for the Maitreya mesh body, in soft brown with white trim that makes me think of gingerbread. The third prize is a table, so you can also decorate your home a bit when you find all of these kitties. 

I do enjoy a nice versatile dress, so I was very excited to claim the prize at SHOP KERO called Plaid Winter Tunic. It starts with the dress in classic M and fitmesh M sizes for classic avatars, along with sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. It also includes a HUD with 24 textures (8 plaid, 16 solid colors) for the top, skirt, belt, and sleeves. Each section has a button on the left side of the HUD, so whichever you have highlighted by clicking will have your chosen texture applied. 

I certainly do feel like royalty in the Princess Gown prize from MeltingDots Freebie Store, and you can too! It has an elegant full skirt, sweetheart neckline, bare shoulders with detached sleeves, and a sash layer that can be tinted separately from the main gown via HUD. That HUD offers 10 colors each for the gown and sash layer, while the gown itself is included in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies plus classic M and fitmesh M for classic avatars. I also found the ninja cat at Magiclo, who kindly gave me this Sleeve RibbonM_Dress[Kiyomizu]  prize. It comes in Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, with flared sleeves tied with pretty red bows. The colors have a Christmas flavor, but the snowflakes are suitable for all winter long. 

My final look of the evening is from KoCha, a treat for anyone with the Maitreya body and hands. It is their Nail_Red Christmas ver. applier, which will adorn your nails with a mixed manicure of solid deep red with accent nails of pink ombre with white holly leaves that have matching deep red berries in their center. You have to look very closely to notice that the artwork is holly, and I almost took the berries for hearts at a very quick glance, so you can bet I will happily wear these when an outfit matches, regardless of what the calendar says ;) Mixed manicures like this are so fun, and I did notice that my toenails received the same polishing from the applier HUD so you will be fully coordinated. 

It was a quieter day here, although there is still a lot of sifting through various news reports and trying to make sense of everything that happened yesterday. The weather is chilly and so is this room, so I am snuggled under a brightly colored lap blanket that a friend gave me a few years ago. It is not particularly thick, yet it helps keep my legs just warm enough. Bon Odori at Kiyomizu

Hiya everyone! Tonight we are visiting a very special event, the Bon Odori festival at Kiyomizu. I have shared prizes from the Kiyomizu Mall's seasonal hunts before, and have always enjoyed the atmosphere of this charming locale. The landmark will bring you to a large tower with drums atop it, surrounded by yellow dance pads that you can click to "sit" which is actually a beautiful dance while moving in a circle around the tower. On the outside of the circle are booths with sales items, gachas, and lucky boards, and once you have danced for 2 minutes (a hovertext countdown bar will appear by your feet) you are eligible to claim any lucky board prize when your initial shows up. Be prepared to hang out and enjoy the music, and claim a bounty of generous gifts :) I recommend bringing a friend to share the fun with, so they can appreciate the festival as well, and company can make things even more cheerful. While I am showing you clothing prizes, there are also home decor items and clever treats like a cellphone that has a HUD with poses and actions. Since I do not read Japanese but have used google translate quite a bit here, I would like to share that the boards proclaim the initial they change to in local chat, followed by a number which is the minutes before it changes again. They are random times that can be as quick as one minute, so you may need to cam around the tower to find your initial in a hurry if you see it in local chat. 

My first look is the lovely .:*:.Magnolia.:*:. White Dress prize, and it is a strapless mini with grey foliage around the skirt. The back view is quite similar to the front since that pretty pattern continues all the way around, and the prize is a single mesh size that fit my Maitreya body perfectly so I am guessing it was created for it. 

Some of the lucky boards have more than one prize loaded inside to be won, like the **milky-way board. This is one of their two prizes, called 20-05 Mini Yukata kiyomizu LB. A yukata is a summer kimono, and this short version has exquisite details like the intricately tied belt and bow. It comes in a Maitreya size, and includes the geta (sandals) for Maitreya feet. 

The other prize from the **milky-way lucky board is the striking 20-06 One Shoulder Sexy Dress Black. It has also been designed to fit the Maitreya body, and has delightful asymmetry with the single sleeve and diagonal hemline, both trimmed in lacy ruffles. You could stick with the black theme and accessorize accordingly, or you might decide to go with colorful jewelry and shoes to add pops of your favorite hues. 

This cute shorts set is the [KH] Short Tank Top & Shorts prize from the Korpokkur House lucky board. They are linked to wear as one piece, sized for the Maitreya body. I am definitely a fan of the combination of bright pink with the khaki of the shorts, a bit unusual but in a very good way. That ruffle on the top and the white design are excellent details too.

My final look of the evening is the alluring =CS= Kiyomizu Hunt Prize 2020 Bon Odori, although it came from a lucky board rather than a hunt :) This sexy swimwear has 3 pieces, the top and bottom plus pareo (tied around the hips) that are each provided in sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The vibrant pink color is a perfect backdrop for the white print of summer treats like fans and watermelon slices, and I am just enjoying all the swimwear I have been finding lately! It is definitely time for a beach vacation for me.

Saturday in the magpie household means a farmers market and lots of fresh foods for the upcoming week, so I would say it was a good day here :) Tomorrow I will be crossing my fingers for luck during a hockey game, which still feels bizarre to happen in August but I am starting to adjust to it. Chilling at Home

Hiya everyone! Tonight I chose some Stay at Home Club gifts to share, from the Apparel section of their website. I do suggest peeking at all their categories though, as you never know what you'll find that will appeal to you personally. These gifts are free with no group tag needed to claim them, and a thoughtful way to lift people's spirits during these upsetting times. I am very grateful to all the designers who are participating, whether I have taken advantage of their gift yet or not :) 

My first look of the evening is the gift from Addicted Apothecary, who are new to me so I was extra excited to visit their store for my first but not last time. This is their [AA] Stay at Home Gift which consists of the knit halter and overalls, each in a Maitreya size. The top has a heart-shaped rib cage with the words "Love Conquers All" surrounding it, and the back left pocket of the overalls has a happy little multicolored daisy embroidered on it. They are a quirky and fun combination, but you can also pair either item with whatever you wished if this look doesn't quite match your aesthetic. 

This next look brings out the magic lover in me. It is from Grumpy Cat which seems to be the kids division of Tiar, and it includes the dress and a matching unicorn headband you can see above. The dress comes in kids sizes BB and TD, while the ladies' version shown here is in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. The headband can be edited to resize (stretch) it and move it to the perfect height for your head and hairstyle, and the colors are so cheerful that it makes me smile.

If I had to choose just one word to describe this gift from Korpokkur House, I think it would be feminine. It is simply called SunDress and is provided in sizes for Legacy Perky, Maitreya, and Slink Physique mesh bodies. The beautiful pink floral pattern with lots of greenery is complemented by the peachy trim and belt/bow without being super matchy-matchy. It really is a lovely offering for these warm summer days.

TrendZy Apparel has two Stay at Home gifts waiting for us, starting with the TA Absentee Dress 1 seen here. The tight black dress says "Let's Stay Home" in red writing across the midriff, and has two separate ruffles so you can wear with or without either. The dress and both ruffles (labeled skirt 2 and skirt 3) are each included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing. On the right I removed the bottom ruffle so you could get an idea of what that asymmetrical hemline looks like without it, and I chuckled when I realized how much shorter it appears that way ;)

Their other gift is my final look of the evening, the TA Absentee Dress 2. It is very similar to the first one, as indicated by the name, with a soft whitish silver trim and text color instead of the red. This treat comes in the same sizes and with the same separate ruffle pieces, so if you were feeling particularly creative you could always mix and match the components :) I always encourage creativity, and for people to think outside the box when it comes to their individual fashion sense. 

Because of a dentist visit tomorrow, I have decided to take the evening off from blogging in case I need a little extra rest to sleep off the nitrous ;) This morning I almost thought I wouldn't be able to blog tonight, because SL had some problems that all struck during their off-hours for support. Rezzing/wearing anything was impossible, and there were login issues too apparently. Fortunately my patience paid off and I was able to visit all these wonderful stores and wear their gorgeous clothing to share. Look Out Weekend

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am in the mood for variety, so there is a fun mixture among my looks. There are prizes from the Kiyomizu Hunt, which are free and hidden with ninja cats in various stores in the Kiyomizu Mall and some mainstores. They can be challenging to find, but certainly worth the exploration. I also have a sexy lingerie look to help your weekend become a little bit steamy, thanks to Entice and the Frou Frou event. Finally there is a group gift from LIVIA to see, a versatile set of elegant manicures.

First we have the prize from Korpokkur House called [KH] Hoody Mini Dress (Maitreya). As you can guess, it comes in a single size rigged for the Maitreya mesh body, but you might be able to wear it with others depending on your shape. It has an intricate woven pattern that reminds me of burlap, and a cute decorative hood built in.

This cozy knit dress is the hunt prize from *ichiko* and is named for the hunt itself. Find their ninja kitty and he will give you a Maitreya fitted version of the dress, with built in pockets and scalloped sleeves. 

[satus Inc] is offering their Suzy Strapless Ruffle Dress White for everyone who finds the cat in their store. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh body versions, all with the gradient of pure white down to inky black. 

Frou Frou is an original mesh lingerie event, and is open until the 8th of October so you have almost two weeks left to visit. When you do, be sure to visit the Entice display, where you'll find this wonderful Desert Rose duo of bra and panties. There are 8 individual colors for $199L each (marked down from $300L) or you can choose the fatpack for 2 bonus colors so a total of 10 via HUD.
