SL Frees and Offers

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post features group gifts for the SLFO or SL Frees & Offers group, which is free to join making all of these gifts completely free of charge. I have been a group member for a very long time now, and certainly enjoy being kept up to date on the happenings in SL as much as I appreciate the generous gifts. Sometimes I wind up visiting stores that are new to me, others are trips to classic favorites, and all are a fun adventure to explore :) The in-world group chat is helpful too, and you might make a new friend while reading about the hottest offers of the moment. 

First I visited EVOLVE SHOPPING where I claimed this dazzling NONA RED as their current SLFO group gift. It comes in Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes, all with that daring deep V neckline and gathered skirt. The red has an orangey tone to it that will make it stand out compared to most other reds in your inventory. 

If you want something sporty yet sexy, please visit *giselle* with that SLFO group tag active so you can pick up their Undress me-0509 outfit. Its top and shorts are linked to wear as one piece, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. There is also a HUD with 16 choices each, so you can mix and match for any look you desire. Curious about the "undress me" part? Well there is also a menu you or anyone else can access by clicking the clothing itself, which will ask you to authorize your/their use, then offer the choices to show one breast, show both breasts, undress completely, or get dressed again. The stripping script is very popular these days, as I am about to show you again...

Next we head over to Gigi Vox, whose SLFO group gift is the flirty Undress me Dana 128 outfit. It is provided in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Werewolf body sizing, with a HUD offering 11 colors each for the top and skirt. There is also a very similar script to the prior gift, as you or someone else can click this clothing and you will be asked to authorize your/their use, then the options are to undress bra, undress top, undress skirt, fully undressed, or fully dressed. The top portion has two layers as you can see, the large ruffle and the simple bra beneath (right above) so this is certainly a playful gift. 

FABOO has a fantastic gift for us too, their KEY WEST - SOLIDS 2 outfit. The tube top and panties are each included in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. There is also a HUD with 16 color choices for each, as well as a % button that lets you adjust the transparency like I have done on the top on the right. My final look this evening comes from Hot Fuss and is their lovely "Mia" Dress. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. There were two HUDs included that looked identical and said color chain HUD menu, but neither of them did anything when I clicked them. This could have been SL being glitchy, but it is worth mentioning just in case :) I was having issues with landmarks not opening, but other HUDs worked during this login so I simply cannot tell what was going on. Honestly I like the chains the color they are, so if that is the only way I can ever wear them I will still be very happy and grateful for this gift. I am intrigued by the flirty style too, showing just enough without showing too much. 

I am slow tonight because I was distracted by hockey, LOL, which is not all that unusual but I do apologize for running a bit behind. I tend to try to get things started earlier when a game is coming on, but it doesn't always work out I guess. Otherwise it was a chilly and snowy day, and I am glad I was inside for it. The prediction is now up to 14" of snow, so they raised the expected amount by a couple of inches, which is unfortunate. My house generator doesn't seem to function in extreme cold, so if the power fails I might be in for an unpleasant time. Feeling Fabulous and Free

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some FabFree group gifts to show you, the in-world group of the Fabulously Free in SL blog. It is a terrific source of information on gifts, sales, and events in SL, and has been for well over a decade. There are many generous participating designers who offer gifts to claim with your FabFree group tag, a handful of which I will be sharing this evening.

First I visited FABOO, whose tagline is Totally Tropical Swimsuits, so where better to pick up a gift that will bring you back to warmer weather whenever you wish? It is called Fab Free Hamptons One Piece, and comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The vivid print makes me smile, and the strapless style is flirty yet with a modest cut.

Another gift that is delightfully colorful is the Belle Epoque { Lere Tropical } dress, which comes in a Maitreya size. I was drawn to the bright yellow bow at the dropped waist, as well as the pretty pattern.

Maybe you are craving something totally different, like a twist on a little black dress. The satiny fabric has a subtle embossed texture that is such a chic look, and the peeks of skin at the waist are an intriguing contrast to the 3/4 length sleeves and floor length skirt.

Summer Love

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing you those FABOO. group gifts I mentioned a couple of posts ago, which you can pick up with the same free group tag that was used for their hunt which ends tonight. The group gifts are still there though, right side of the center aisle of the store, with some offers that are $100L each so please do pay attention when clicking (always good advice in general) and the ones that have a "deliver" button on the blue menu when you click them are our free gifts. Another exciting look I wanted to show you is from Entice at the Genre event, which has a seafaring theme this round so the dress they are offering for sale is a sassy pirate look. Irresistible!

Our first FABOO. group gift is this flirty Puerto Rico Bikini - Cinco de Mayo, in mesh sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. There is also a handy HUD included that allows you to switch between 4 different textures, top and bottom individually, so you could mix and match or go with a single fun print. The tacos and jalapenos on the left made me smile, there is certainly something spicy about this swimsuit even without the cute pattern.

If you crave another style of bathing suit (and let's be honest, it is a long summer and we all deserve more swimwear!) I suggest claiming this gift called Wrap Suit - Prism. It includes system layers and appliers for Omega and Slink, with bows for the neck, back, and hips. The print on this is so striking, and suits the style very well too.

Two more gifts here, the blouse is the Roses Open Tied Beach Shirt which comes in standard mesh sizes plus a Tango applier. The shorts are called Hot Pants - Green Waves, and they come in several mesh sizes: XXS, XS, S1, S2, M1, M2, M3, and L. Rather like a standard size range but with extras, so you are bound to find something that works well with your classic or mesh avatar of choice. Usually I am not big on mixing patterns, but something about the common color theme made this work. You certainly do not have to wear them together, you can use the blouse as a coverup for your favorite bikini and pair the shorts with any solid color shirt that suits you. 

From beach wear to something a bit dressier, we have another lovely group gift from FABOO called Wrapped Beach Dress. This comes in standard mesh sizes and includes a HUD with 4 colors to choose from. I can easily envision showering the sand off myself and wearing this for an evening at a beach bar or club, easy breezy and versatile with the different color choices.

I'm pretty sure this sexy dress will entice you to visit the Entice display at the Genre event, hehe, even if my cheesy pun doesn't ;) This gorgeous look is their Whiskey In The Jar Dress and each individual color is a mere $99L each, and each includes a regular and a grungy version. I personally cannot resist the versatility of HUDs like that, and I appreciate that Entice's HUDs do not take up much screen real estate and offer so many options. Still Faboo

Hiya everyone! Tonight is part two of the wonderful prizes from the FABOO Style Central Hunt, where you will be exploring a shopping area and a beachy residential area seeking sand piles with treasure chests on top of them. There are 30 for the ladies and 10 for the gents, a generous variety of summer clothing and a few other goodies like a gift card for FABOO. You will need to have their free group tag active to claim the prizes, and pick up a notecard at the starting location for hints to all the treasure chests. I wound up simply exploring the outer edges of the sim and working my way around, and that is how I found the beachside caves mentioned in the hints. I truly enjoyed my exploration, and the prizes are amazing so I highly recommend taking some time out of your weekend before the hunt ends on the 31st.

This patriotic swimsuit is prize #17 and called Key West Bikini - USA. The top and bottom each include sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique, and there is a HUD with both textures shown for each piece. There are also buttons labeled % that let you adjust the transparency of each part, so if you wish to make one or both slightly see-through you can do so with a couple of clicks. I left them both full opacity here. There is another prize that contains this same style in a different texture/color combination, as is the case with several of the mesh bikinis from yesterday, so if you see a swimsuit you like but aren't certain about the colors there is a strong chance you will find it in a pattern you prefer.

There are plenty of different styles of bikinis to be found in this hunt, and here you can see prize #19, String Bikini - Exotic, which includes an Omega HUD for the bikini itself along with bows for back, breast, and hips. I was able to edit and adjust the positions of the bows very easily, and I enjoyed the bright colors of this pretty bikini.

This beauty is found inside treasure chest #20, and is named Maui Bikini - Mexico. It includes an Omega HUD as well as the bows for back, breast, neck, and hips, with a tied version (shown) for the hips instead of a bow. I find this to be a very flattering look, both the colors and the style, so I am glad I discovered this one. As a general hint, I saw the water tower mentioned on the notecard for this prize but not how to get there, but hovering over the treasure chest said to sit on the water tower. It let me sit inside for a fascinating view, and upon standing I dropped down to a walkway that I hadn't seen from above. Clever landscaping is in play here :)

Here we see another striking bikini from chest #21 called Wrap Bikini - Watercolors, an Omega HUD and bows for the back, neck, and big hip bows that you can wear or leave off, depending on your preferences. The colors and pattern remind me of the ones on the sandals I am wearing with them, prize #25 called Havana Heels - Chico. They are a perfect fit for my Slink High feet and include a HUD that offers 5 colors for the base, 4 for the strings, and 5 for the foot base. The colors are mostly neutrals to offset the bright pattern very nicely.

I left the bikini bottom on from the previous gift to show you this wonderful breezy tank top from prize #29 called Crop Top Faboo Classic. Inside you will find the top in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, along with a HUD for 20 different texture choices. I am showing just 3 of that wide range of options, there are plenty of prints and a couple of solids to suit your mood. I deeply appreciate the versatility of texture HUDs, since my inventory is already a bit crowded after nearly 10 years.

It was a fun and busy day, with the predicted storms mostly avoiding us. The most I encountered was a light drizzle, much preferred over the lightning and flooding that was initially in the forecast. The French chef at the farmers market had ratatouille this week, and wow, was it tasty! It was very popular so I'm sure she will offer it again soon. Looking Faboo

Hiya everyone! I just found out this morning about a sim-wide hunt called FABOO Style Central Hunt, and even though it ends in a few days (the 31st) I decided that the free prizes were worth the regrettably short notice I'm giving all of you for this one. I do apologize, but I also have confidence that you can manage to complete this hunt in a relatively short time :) You will need the FABOO group tag (free to join) active to claim the prizes, and there are 30 for the ladies and 10 for the men so I suggest bringing your favorite male avatars as well. Please click the sign to get the hint notecard, which will guide you to finding the piles of sand with a treasure chest atop each one, the mens' are darker color chests so you can differentiate easily. You will be wandering a beautiful residential area as well as around some stores, and the prizes are in the open rather than hiding beneath things or up high, so no flying or camming skills needed. In the shopping area, please explore all walkways and wander behind the stores. In the residential areas, please don't enter any homes and stick to your hints as they are very effective. Ready for peeks at a random selection of the wonderful prizes?

The treasure chests and the beach areas might put you in mind of summery treats, and this bathing suit from prize #2 will certainly do the same! This is called Rio Unikini - Lexi and consists of the suit in sizes for Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, TMP, and a fitted version, along with a HUD that offers 7 choices for each the top and bottom: the print shown and 6 coordinating solid colors. The first prize was this same suit in different colors and print, so if you enjoy this one I suggest finding that first one as well.

More terrific colors and patterns to be found inside prize #4, their Belize Bikini in Waikiki Pink. In addition to the top and bottom in standard, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes each, there is a HUD to change each part between the fun print and the solid pink. This style is a very playful one, with the extra openings but still not overly revealing, and that single shoulder strap is a great touch.

I am such a fan of this style, probably at least in part because it would be so impractical in RL (tan lines, 10 minutes just to tie it correctly) that its perfect ease in SL is a welcome treat. This is called Puerto Rico Bikini - Cinco and is tucked inside treasure chest #5, in sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. Also provided is a handy HUD with 4 textures for the top and bottom, so you can mix and match or keep it simple.

Even on a tropical vacation, we do occasionally need clothing other than beachwear, so be sure to find prize #7 if you are a fan of this Tee Dress C6. It comes in standard mesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Belleza Isis, Belleza Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique, plus a HUD with both texture choices you see here - solid pink or the pretty pink and blue pattern on the right. The slightly loose fit and ever so subtly draped neckline give this dress an extra touch, in fantastic summer colors.

Sometimes on vacation, you encounter a slightly chilly day or evening, so what to wear if you still want to show off your lovely legs? Find treasure chest 9 and you can solve that problem very easily :) This is the Cozy Sweater Dress Valentine and includes what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes: 5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. But wait, there's more! There is also a HUD with 9 color choices, various shades of red and pink as you may expect from the Valentine name. As you can see, this lush knit works for any season, not just Cupid's visiting time.

One last look of the evening, this is prize #10 and is called Fiji Dress - Lanai Prints, and comes in standard mesh sizes. What is definitely not standard is the versatile included HUD, which offers 6 stunning patterns, each with the option of an open chest or closed bodice area. As you can see, I have it closed on the left and open on the right. So you can decide if you want to show some cleavage, or just enjoy the slits in the skirt which are there for both styles. I must say, this dress fit my Maitreya body very well, which is not always a guarantee with standard mesh sizing, so I was extra delighted by that stroke of luck on top of the beauty of this dress.

Marketplace Holiday

Hiya everyone! It is a holiday weekend here in the USA, Memorial Day to be specific for all my wonderful readers in other areas of the world, and Monday is generally spent with friends and family at a barbecue, or at the beach enjoying the opening weekend for most of the seasonal stores and attractions. Meanwhile in SL, I decided to visit the Marketplace so I could pick up a few bikinis, and then I could head to a beach to enjoy my new swimsuits. The marketplace is terrific for when you aren't sure who will carry exactly what you need, or don't feel like teleporting multiple places which is something that can become difficult on weekends or when SL is crowded. This meant more time on my mini-vacation, which was at a beautiful place called Star Journey. There is a beach, as well as a nightclub, and many places to explore. In the short time I was there, I enjoyed the beach, had a drink at a tiki bar, went for a swim, found a waterfall with lightning (you will see that in a moment) and even found another hidden beach in I believe it was the SW corner of the sim. It is always worth a visit and I seem to find new things each time I'm there.

This was on the beach near the landing zone, which is not far from their nightclub. I am wearing a very generous Marketplace gift from Faboo named Batik Valentine Bikini. Yes, I do realize it is no longer Valentine's Day, lol, but hearts are always a welcome addition to my wardrobe :) Now this beauty includes system layers plus appliers for Phat Azz, Slink, Tangos, WowMeh, and Omega, and there are different versions of each part: bandeau top, string top, 2 string stop, hipster bottom, string bottom, and maui bottom. There are even several bows for the various versions. On the left I am wearing the bandeau top, hipster bottom, and hipster hip knots, while on the right is the string top and string bottom with bows for neck, back, and breast. So many ways to wear this amazing gift, it was hard to narrow it down to even these two looks.

I love the ocean, but I do get thirsty from the sun, so I headed to that tiki bar I mentioned earlier and changed into a more revealing swimsuit. This is the {B} Blue Polka Dot Bikini Free Gift and includes system layers as well as an Omega HUD. The color is flattering for many skin tones, and the style will certainly get attention too.

I wandered quite a bit, and found myself in front of a double waterfall with some intriguing weather...there are frequent flashes of lightning, which glimmer off the falling water in bright flashes of blue. I got changed again, this time into my new The Rose Bikini Rose, that is the store named The Rose and the bikini having its namesake image on each section of fabric, top and bottom. This time I am holding my other hand out, feeling gentle raindrops falling on myself as well as the water around me. I am on a stone path that crosses this particular pond, and the sound of the rain was quite soothing while the visual beauty was just as enjoyable. I tend to wear brighter colors when it rains, almost as a contrast I think, so I happily slipped into this Marketplace free gift from Illusion Lingerie, their Pink Floral Bikini. There are flowers on the bank behind me, so that made sense too. This gift includes Omega, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink HUDs so it is another gift for mesh bodies. The bold colors made me want to dance in the rain, just soaking it in and appreciating (virtual) nature.

It was quite a busy day in RL too, hehe, although there was no beach involved...just a barbecue with family, and a few games to help keep all our minds sharp (mostly my 90 year old grandma) and to provide some smiles. I almost demanded a revenge match in Uno, LOL! That, Yahtzee, and Pokeno were all part of the fun. More Fabulous Freebies

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am showing you some more of the free group gifts you can claim for being part of the FabFree in-world group. As I mentioned yesterday, the group is free to join and will provide you with information on bargains, sales, freebies, and new posts to the Fabulously Free in SL blog. I have been a huge fan of their blog for as long as I can remember, and consider it a source of inspiration. The gifts I am showing tonight will help you get ready for summer, with one being amusingly geared towards spring. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am.

My first look is this beautiful two-piece from Brandy's Boutique called BB Motions Bikini. It includes system layers along with appliers for Belleza, Lena, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink, and there is even a flexi shirt (not shown) you can add that has a resize script built in and reminded me of a babydoll lingerie look. I really like the pattern and its colors.

I did mention a nod to spring, well my area has had several days lately where this outfit would be all too appropriate so it gave me a chuckle. This is our FabFree gift from Ollies Follies, the top is called Sharkbite Tank Rainy Day Scuba Purple and the pants are Pure Leggings Rainy Day Scuba Purple. Just wear your tag and use the vendor where you land, which has these gifts in 4 separate packages: fitmesh/bodies and classic for the top and pants each. You will need to pay the vendor a linden but it will be immediately reimbursed, and you can pick up the set of sizes you need without filling your inventory with the ones you don't. The colors make this outfit a splash of sunshine, no matter what your RL  or SL weather may be. 

Back to the beachwear, this is our gift from FABOO. which is simply named Group Gift Tribal. The top and bottom each include sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and TMP. The pattern on this is as intriguing as the style, very attractive and ideal for your favorite tropical sim.

One last look, this bikini comes from AsHmOoT and is their lovely gift for the FabFree group. It is called S/S Coll Crochet #03 SW Banana Y (yellow I'd imagine) and is provided in system layers plus appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega. I find I appreciate knit or crochet textures in SL even more for the fact that in RL they can be itchy or leave odd marks on tender skin, yet in SL they always fit perfectly so they look amazing.

Hair note of the night: Truth Hair released their May VIP group gift ($350L to join) with some exciting news- new textures and additional features! The HUD for the first 3 photos here is a texture from the Redhead HUD, and the last one is from Multi Tone 1, which is why it has those pretty blonde highlights. The colors have been reorganized a bit, and the additional feature for this style Kare is a Style HUD that lets you change each side to behind or in front of the shoulder, 4 total buttons to play with :) I am so excited for this new phase of Truth Hair, and and cannot wait to see his upcoming releases. That sale is still going on until the 12th by the way, so you can still pick up what we now know as "old" styles and color HUDs at a hefty discount. You know how attached I am to many of them and I will still be wearing them a lot.

Whew, it was certainly a stressful day...the dentist appointment went okay, but I was driven there by someone who takes a casual view of traffic laws, lol, and we wound up being pulled over and getting a hefty ticket. My advice, if the signs say No Turn On Red and there is a cop right there, just be patient until your light turns green!! Everyone was cool and calm about things, no arguing or attitudes, so that helped a little. Oh well, I hope all of you had a better day and are enjoying your evening, magical magpie hugs to each of you!!
