Peace On Earth Is Back

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are welcoming back the Peace On Earth Hunt, which is in its 14th year of bringing generous free gifts from many wonderful designers. The hunt has changed hands over the years and was absent altogether last year (I missed it so!) but I'm elated that it is back, as you can clearly tell :) So as with all the previous rounds, we are looking for small globes as in a representation of the earth. Each are hidden in the participating stores and there is a hint for every one on the website, with most stores also providing the hint in the sample globe on the hunt's sign by their entrance or landing point. The folder you receive when you click each hidden globe contains your gift and a landmark to the next stop, a very handy feature that used to be the norm for gridwide hunts but seemed to fall out of favor since it can be complicated to make sure the previous store updates the contents with the new landmark if the next store has moved. I always keep the hunt website open anyway as force of habit, and it can help us verify quickly if anything has changed and I can read the hint before even rezzing the store :) There are 42 stops this year with multiple globes to find in a few, so the peaceful spirit of this hunt is alive and waiting for us to enjoy!

My first look comes from [Ari-Pari] and is their charming Natalie Outfit. I feel like most of what I do in SL calls for casual clothing, so this cropped sweater and loose fitting jeans with rolled cuffs add up to one perfect outfit for my tastes :) Plus there is a HUD with 12 colors for the sweater and 6 for the jeans, so I get a generous slice of variety with my casual fashion. The sweater and jeans are each included in Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. 

I kept the jeans on here but changed into another hunt prize, the [ASHBURY] POE 14 TUX JACKET FEMALE. There is also a male treat inside the same globe, in case you wondered about their specifying female for this one :) We receive Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes of this elegant jacket, which can be worn over so many types of tops, pants, and skirts depending on your mood and your destination.

Just Imagine has a special gift waiting for you in their globe called Wishing Peace by JI. Its sweater and skirt are separate pieces that can be worn individually if you wish, each in standard mesh sizes as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP mesh bodies. The silhouette of cupid on the front is holding a white heart, with 'Wishing Peace" written beneath him. I love the scalloped hem of our plaid skirt too, lots of great details to appreciate here for sure.

My next look is the snuggly GoodVibes Sparkling Blue Snowflake Set, which starts with the sweater dress in Maitreya, Petite, and Star Mesh body sizes. Then we can add our booties with balls, which are unrigged with a resize script built in on touch. The dress could also serve as a nightie if you wanted to add a pair of leggings, or could be dressed up with heels instead to wear out and about :) 

For the final stop of the evening, we take a peek at Grumble's stunning Snow Queen Outfit prize. The corset and shorts are each provided in sizes for Belleza Gen X Classic, Belleza Gen X Curvy, Khara, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Peach, Reborn, and Reborn Juicy Boobs bodies. I definitely get the impression that our designer here is quite fond of vibrant rainbow patterns on black backgrounds, as I have seen many from her over the years :) I agree with her taste there obviously, and these snowflakes have an almost glowy quality to them because of their backdrop. The style is extra flirty too, flared and held in place by the anti-gravity magic that is SL.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are continuing along the Peace On Earth Hunt 13 path, finding more globes of the earth and claiming lots of generous free prizes. I have been enjoying this tradition for over a decade now, the realization of which startles me a bit but also warms my heart. We can take comfort in knowing that these designers are thinking of us, and it is a treat to be introduced to stores that are new to us among the ones that are as familiar as a favorite song. The website will assist you with hints for each globe, and is also important to have open while hunting because of the locations that need to be skipped. The next landmark might not be updated in each globe yet but the website has that information as well as letting you know to pass by certain stops. I also suggest hunting with friends, since teamwork can help you figure out hints or just cover a large store faster and there are prizes for men as well as women. 

We start the evening with an elegant gown from Glitterati which is simply named POE 13 Hunt Gift. It is provided in standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP body sizing. The dark pinstripes look lovely against the green fabric, and the bare shoulders are balanced by the high neckline and pert train in the rear.

I was also very happy to find the globe at [ASHBURY], especially since it contains not just one but two gifts! For the gentlemen we have a handsome shirt, and for the ladies they have included their Grace Skirt n Top as seen above. The charming set comes in sizes for Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies, with exposed shoulders and lots of ruffles and flair. Did you notice the candy canes and gingerbread in the pattern? Those are two of my favorite parts of the holiday season, so it's fun to have them represented on my new outfit.

Next we visit Zickenkiste to find their globe and claim their Nakisha Set 1 outfit. The blouse and pants are each provided in lots of sizes for classic avatars (5 standard plus 5 fitmesh) and mesh avatars (eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine) along with a HUD for each with 4 options. The pants are solid colors and the blouse choices are various patterns, so you can mix and match to create a look that best suits your tastes. 

Red is a popular color this time of year, but also just looks very fashionable no matter what the calendar says! This gorgeous gown is the prize from LoveCat Store called =LCS= Christine Mesh Gown - Red. It includes standard mesh sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. It has a magical sparkle to it that lighting wherever you wear it will enhance, so you will want to have advanced lighting turned on in your viewer to see it at its best. If I had a formal occasion to go to in the near future, this would probably be my first choice of wardrobe :)

For lots of people, Christmas and cats are two of their favorite things, so if that sounds like you (I am a bird person, but cats are beautiful creatures) please be sure to find the prize at Eclectic Stars. Their playful Shifty - Catty Christmas dress has long sleeves and a flared skirt, all trimmed in softest grey to complement the kitties who are enjoying some Christmas stockings and decorations. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink versions, so you can probably wear it with most shapes and sizes. I am making use of the provided alpha layer and my BOM compatibility, so anything that should not be showing through is hidden. As a side note, there is an Advent calendar here too, so you have a couple of days left to visit and click the current date to claim some geek chic gifts.

The countdown to Christmas continues, and I am making sure that all my plans are comfortably in place. I have 2 more people to get in touch with about possible facetime or zoom meetups, but otherwise things are under control and all gifts are on their way where they should be. The Search for Peace

Hiya everyone! Tonight I have more lovely Peace on Earth Hunt 11 prizes to share, all of which can be found for free inside hidden globes. Their website will guide you with locations, hints, and information on any stores that need to be skipped, so you'll probably find it helpful to have that open while you explore the hunt path. I am still working on finding all the globes, however many a night I can comfortably track down without eyestrain or just becoming overly tired, and I have Xan's help most evenings. We have all of December, so there's no need to rush :)

My first look is a beautiful gown from Little 2 Large called L2L Paloma Sequined Dress, and it reminds me of a mature version of Elsa's gown in Frozen. It comes in Dinkies and Petites versions, while the one I am wearing is in plenty of sizes too: classic S, M, L, fitmesh S, M, L, Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, and Voluptuous. The dramatic side slit and off-shoulder styling are so flattering, and the sparkling texture is a winter delight.

This is the prize from Luziefee called LUZ - POE 18 Coat, a very polished look with an intricate bird design on the front. The belt at the waist is matched by one holding the collar up, and their gold trim perfectly matches the buttons down the front. This prize includes standard mesh sizes for either classic or mesh bodies to enjoy.

For another great coat, be sure to find the globe at Dark Intentions to claim their DI: Hope Coat. It comes in fitmesh standard sizes as well as versions for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine. The grey and black will look sharp against any color accessories you choose to wear with it, and the tulip hem and long bow ribbons add a feminine touch.

ASHBURY has two treats inside their globe, one being a holiday shirt for men and the other is this Anya Sweater Dress I am wearing above. It has a very body-conscious shape and a festive design, with delicious looking drinks around the skirt portion. The gift includes sizes for Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies.

I have a wonderfully playful outfit for my final look of the evening, courtesy of *Lurve* and called Winter Skating Party Outfit - Violet. Today was all about resting and recuperating here, I didn't have to go out so that made for a relatively peaceful day. No pun intended there with the name of the hunt or this post ;) Tomorrow I have an appointment unrelated to my recent health issues (chiropractor) then a busy weekend starts, so a day off was nice. Monday Advent and Hunt Goodies

Hiya everyone! This morning we will be exploring some Advent calendar gifts, claimed either with a free group tag or no tag needed at all. There is no cost to you, and plenty of good reasons to make yourself a list of stores to visit each day before Christmas and claim some outstanding gifts. To make things easy, I made a subfolder in my landmarks folder, named it Advent 2017 (next year I'll refer to it again to see if those stores are offering Advent gifts again) and when I saved each landmark I noted in the name "no group" or "group tag" so I'd remember to wear any needed tags before TPing. Another source of generous treats is the Peace On Earth 10 Hunt, which will have you visiting almost 300 stores to find hidden globes that give you a prize for free when you click them. The website is very helpful for those oops moments when the landmark in a particular globe might not be updated yet, or a store has had to drop out so you need to grab the next location from their website. I really enjoy hunting with Xan, my clever partner who thinks outside the box and helps me figure out clues, and keeps me motivated with his thoughtful assistance. 

This lovely wrap dress is our Advent gift for day 11 from Baci, called lu-Dunyaah-colorable. It comes what I call the lucky 13 of mesh sizes (5 standard, 5 fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink) and includes a handy HUD with 9 colors you can choose from for the dress. I am loving the teal, but red is such a fantastic seasonal shade! All the colors show off the subtle embossed pattern of the fabric beautifully, and I appreciate that the style is suitable for any season. No group needed for this advent calendar, just visit and click the current date.

Emerald Couture has 3 Advent calendars, one for everyone (no group tag needed) and then for their free group's members there is a female board and a male board. This gift is from the free for all calendar, the boxes on shelves to the left of the group boards, and it is called EC Spring Fling Dress White n Black Floral. The dress has a thin belt attached that really accentuates the monochrome color scheme, and it is included in standard fitmesh sizes plus Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Slink Physique, and TMP, while the shoes were a perfect fit for my Slink High feet. This is such a charming look, floral but not overly sweet. Now here is where I must make a confession: I did not stumble across the Inkheart advent calendar until this morning, even though I am on their blogging team. I was completely unaware, and I apologize for that. The good news is that if you join their free group, you can claim a gift each day, but if you miss any they are still free. For example, I claimed 11 of them today. They will be available until early January, so I am relieved that you will all still be able to pick up plenty of exciting eyes for free. Today I am wearing gift #11 which are called Feline Eyes - Wolf, and they are included in system layers plus mesh eyes in 4 sizes, as well as appliers for Genesis and Omega. All of their sets are provided in these same generous options, as a matter of fact.

Peace On Earth time :) This striking gown is the ALB Dream Fashions hunt prize called ALB INA dress & gown POE10, and there is a mini dress hiding beneath the fluffy skirts there that can be worn on its own. That dress is provided in standard, Freya, Isis, Venus, eBody, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes. Also tucked inside are gown cloud 1 and gown cloud 2 (floaty flexi skirts) and an optional glitter layer that adds lovely golden shimmer to the skirt. This is quite versatile since you can wear all the layers, just some, or go simple with just the dress.

This fun outfit from [ASHBURY] is one of two prizes inside their globe, as there is one for the guys as well as this Female Gift POE10. The Kitty Ruffled Top comes in standard sizes plus Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink, while the Kester Pants are included in standard, Belleza Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique sizes. The dangling suspenders are a neat touch with their splash of plaid. 

For my last look of the day, I am indulging in two different hunt prizes that work very well together. My dress here is from Dulce Secrets, their Niamh Skating Dress Crystal, and it comes in standard mesh sizes plus Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP versions. The delicate snowflake pattern made me decide to add the prize from Deadly Nightshade, their DN Winter Effects, which are providing the floating flakes you see around and in front of me. There is a notecard included to tell you how/when to wear their Winter Aura Dynamic, Winter Aura Static, and Winter Effects for typing/walking/flying. I am wearing the static aura here, and still images do not quite capture the beauty of this portable snowshower you can share with your friends.

Peace On Earth For 2016

Hiya everyone! I realized there were several prizes from the Peace On Earth 8 Hunt that I never showed you yet, and now seemed like the perfect time before I get started with other hunts :) There are eight days remaining to find these prizes, which is plenty of time and well worth it.

First look of the night, we have this dramatic gown and backpiece from Topazia in a lovely soft blue shade. You'll definitely need to click the photo to see it better. The Hope Gown comes in standard mesh sizes with an attached band that looks like a choker, and the spine attachment is separate so I have shown it with and without. This is oddly appropriate for me today, as I have lived my whole life near Philadelphia and it reminds me of the Mummers Parade that takes place every New Year's Day. Backpieces like that would be feathered and sequined in the parade though :) This prize is #15 in the hunt path.

For something a bit more casual and suited to the colder weather, be sure to visit RAYNE and find their globe which is #25 to claim their Harmony orange dress. It comes in the usual mesh sizes, and has the eye-catching asymmetrical hem with ruffle that I enjoy so.

I must admit, while I really do like this dress, the first thing it made me think of is a pokeball! I don't even know much about Pokemon but that's where my geeky little mind went ;) This is our gift from Ashbury (#45), their Amia Camisole dress, with matching scarf. The dress comes in 5 standard and 5 fitmesh sizes plus versions for Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya, and the scarf is included in 3 sizes. As for my gorgeous bracelet, that is our prize from #03 Zuri Rayna, with its very delicate hint of sparkle (think bling modernized and reduced to a mere shimmer) slightly visible in the closer view. There is something so elegant about pearls, too, and peace signs are always welcomed in my SL and RL.

Hasi`s offers us a generous gift for this hunt, their prize #72 includes the top and skirt on the left in standard fitmesh sizes along with Belleza, Maitreya and Slink sizes for each, plus a bonus sweater shown on the left in standard sizes. You could pair these pieces as I have shown, or with anything in your inventory that you prefer since they are quite versatile. I need to find a pair of hot pink jeans to wear with that bonus sweater!

My last look of the night is another fully loaded prize, this being a quite generous gift from ALB, #53 in the hunt. We have the beautiful gown shown in several mesh sizes, the wings with and without resizer, necklace, earrings, chest piece, headpiece, and shoes in sizes for Belleza, Slink, and TMP. Whew, that's a lot! Somehow I managed to miss putting on the earrings before taking the main photos, so I was sure to put them on for the closer view. There you can see the amazing details of the necklace as well, and the floral center of the chest piece. You could wear this so many ways, just by choosing the parts that fit your mood and where you're wearing it, and you will look breathtaking no matter what.

Nail note of the night: in all of tonight's photos I am wearing our hunt prize from #32 TASHI, their lovely Let It Snow nails which come in HUDs for Slink, Omega, and Belleza. Each has 5 designs, all blue with varying snowy patterns, mix and match or pick your favorite of the moment.
