Cosmopolitan Anniversary Gifts

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are celebrating another wonderful event's anniversary, as Cosmopolitan rings in 9 years of sales and exclusive offers. There are group gifts at nearly every display, in pretty wooden crates that you can click to receive if you have their free group tag active. May was clearly a good month for events to begin, and nine years is an impressive milestone for any SL business venture. Many congratulations to them! This round is open until the 15th, so it is a limited time but so worth the visit.

My first look is the gift from Candy Kitten called *CK* Never alone dress cosmo. It comes in sizes for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite bodies, with a HUD offering 5 main colors and 2 for the lace trim. I am very fond of the double deep V, back and front, and the various colors all show off the fabric beautifully.

Next I slipped into the silky #AplBlossom.Argentina Dress No.4 group gift. This charming satin mini has scalloped lace trim and sweet spaghetti straps, and really hugs every curve. The gift includes Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh body sizing. 

I was able to pair two gifts for this fun look, although of course you can wear either gift with anything that you personally prefer. The top is the Brenda Tee - Stone gift from [JUSTICE], which comes in 3 versions (original, decal as seen on the left above, and silky on the right) each sized for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. There is also a HUD with 18 color choices for the trim, so you can change the look to suit your tastes. Our gift from [G-SHOT] is their striking AREI Skirt, in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies. This cute pleated mini skirt also includes a HUD offering 10 colors for the skirt itself and 5 metals for the safety pins on the waistband. Both of these gifts are as versatile as they are pretty :)

This is another pairing of two separate gifts that made me smile. The top is the Zury Top from FashionNatic, and it comes in Freya, Legacy, and Maitreya sizes. The open weave of the edging caught my eye, as did the delicate bow draped down the back. My skirt comes from Ricielli and is called Jodie Skirt Petal, probably in reference to the pale pink that certainly could be found on flower petals. It includes sizes for Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique bodies. 

My final look of the evening is our group gift from Hilly Haalan, their [hh] Chelsea Overall. I do appreciate a nice casual outfit, and this fits that bill perfectly :) It comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizes, with a HUD to choose from 10 colors each for the top, pants, buttons, and belt. It looks more like a jumpsuit with the top and pants the same color, but like separate pieces when colored individually. That open top is daring yet covers everything essential, so I like that too. 

I am not sure how to describe my day, since I can't decide if it was good or not. More like quiet but slow with a touch of frustrating, as I got a message from my mom that someone wanted me to text her or call her. I texted, and it's now been several hours with no reply. I don't want to feel like I am bothering her or chasing her down, but can't imagine what was so important if she didn't reply. I let my mother know what happened in case the person asks again, and will try texting again in the morning but then I'm done. I did not get much inventory sorting done yet, but will try again later :) What an intimidating task! Oh well, I hope you're all having a terrific day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Cosmopolitan Celebrates

Hiya everyone! Tonight I am excited to show you some treats from another event's anniversary, which tells me that May was an excellent month to establish an event. This time we are visiting Cosmopolitan for their 8th anniversary, round 2 for the second half of the month since their rounds are just under 2 weeks long. Their free group entitles you to many group gifts, as for their anniversary almost all of the participating designers have chosen something special to give to all group members. They are in little crates at each display, just give them a click with the group tag active and you will be given a folder with the gift inside. I chose a random handful of the plentiful presents to show you this evening, and I hope you find some that you enjoy.

My first look is the Blossom&Seeds gift called Journie No.5, a tantalizing dress that is laced up each side and comes in 3 versions with varying transparency. Each version is provided in sizing for Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Signature Alice bodies, with version 1 being completely lined beneath the lace (as seen on the left) and version 2 with a sheer top (right). You can probably guess that version 3 is completely sheer like the top of that second version :) I think it would be clever to wear version 1 with the most coverage on an evening out, then slip into one of the other varieties when I get home with Xan!

This bodycon tank dress is our gift from AVALE called Kiss - Red Star. The deep crimson has subtle stars just a shade or two darker, and the neckline is just right for a choker or short necklace. I wonder if I have one with stars to carry the theme through to accessories? :) The gift includes sizes for Freya Perky, Isis Perky, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. 

For a lovely sweater dress with versatile belt, be sure to claim the gift from [Eternus] named Charlie Dress (Brown). The dress and belt are separate pieces so you can wear the dress with or without being belted, and each come in Legacy and Maitreya sizing. There is also a HUD provided for the belt with 7 colors and 2 metals, so you can adjust that to your personal tastes. In cooler weather it would look pretty over some leggings as a tunic top, but in my current climate I would love it as is.

I was also pleased to pick up the gift from Kaithleen's, their Tied Up Dress - Smoke. The dress and separate sleeves each come in sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a HUD offering 20 color options each for the trim, belt, and sleeves. It makes it so easy to get creative and change the look dramatically in an instant.

For my final look of the evening, I combined two gifts and created a charming outfit. The top is the gift from FashionNatic called ARIA TOP, a dainty laced tank top with spaghetti straps. It is provided in Freya, Hourglass, and Maitreya sizes. I paired it with the [G-SHOT] AREI Skirt {Dark Red}, which includes sizes for eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Legacy, and Maitreya mesh bodies. This extra short mini skirt has 2 little safety pins on the waist, and the pleats really accentuate our curves.

I'll Stand By You

Hiya everyone! Tonight we take another stroll along the streets of The Wash Cart Sale, browsing their carts filled with selections for $10L - $50L and an exclusive offer per cart. Their AD - Lace Bodysuit in Mesh includes the bodysuit in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizing, stockings in a system/BOM layer, and matching garters (attachments) for each thigh. You could do as I have done here and complete the look with these attractive AD - Stilettos Closed Toe with Studs, which are black with red so they add a pop of bold color. The heels come in Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink high sizes, and are versatile enough to be a regular part of your wardrobe. This season I am not reading any guesses online since they were usually right last time and it was like being unofficially spoiled. I guess I am just trying to take things one day at a time, and enjoying any positives I can, which is all we can really do these days. More Cosmopolitan Gifts

Hiya everyone! Tonight is a part two, as I have more gifts to share with you from the Cosmopolitan advent tree. You do need their free group tag active to claim these, then just give each stocking on the tree a click (they might deliver twice or more from what I noticed, so you may wind up having to delete some extras) to receive these wonderful gifts. Some are very Christmas themed, but there are plenty you can enjoy right now or year round regardless of season. I was very pleased and grateful to see that they left the tree up with these presents for this event round too, so you have until the 11th to stop by.

My first look combines two Advent gifts, starting with the top which is from [[ Masoom ]]. Their lovely Lexa Top - Blue comes in Freya, Isis, Hourglass, Physique, and Maitreya sizes, with a HUD that lets you pick from 11 colors for the metal rings on the harness. The pants I am wearing are another gift, this time from Adorsy and called Alyssa Pants Red. They are sized for the Maitreya body, and include a terrific HUD with 2 choices for the pants (both shown above) and 7 colors each for the belt and laces (trim between belt and pants). I got a kick out of the ombre of teal to red, colors you don't see together very often but they do look pretty together.

I kept the pants on but slipped into a different top here, the gift from [G-SHOT] called Romina Top. It features stars with spikes, and comes in eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, and Hourglass mesh body sizing. There is also a HUD with 24 colors for the top itself, and 12 for the spikes with the option of turning the spikes off and on. 

I got such a good laugh from this gift, the .BIRKA. New Year's Gift 2019. The high necked top says "Satan is my sugar daddy" which is what caused the chuckle (also wondering what my fairly religious mother would say if I wore this in RL near her, LOL) and those matching panties are also included. They are high cut but not a thong in the back, and each piece is designed for the Maitreya mesh body.

Perhaps you are craving an alluring dress that has a revealing side, well be sure to find the stocking that holds this AVALE gift called Megan - Red. The dress is included in Freya, Isis, Maitreya, Hourglass, and TMP sizes, all with a HUD that offers 8 color choices for the lace cups on the bust. They are certainly on the sheer side as you can see, so it is best to save this for those sims and events where you won't get in trouble for (almost) displaying a nipple or two ;) 

I have referenced SL vacations a few times recently, something I crave when the weather here gets chilly and I want my avi to enjoy some tropical fun. But what to wear? It was a decent day, but it is snowing a little bit outside now, and I have to fast tonight for blood tests in the early afternoon. The rest of my week should be fine, I only have one other appointment that is later in the week and not a painful one.
